55:2 God asks why persons are weighing/receiving money for that which is free. Whether or not this applies directly to the thirty
pieces of silver issue, it would apply to anyone who does any
calculated form of giving that is directed toward God. God wonders
aloud as to why anyone is weighing money. He has not set a price on
service toward Himself. Steve's
Article on Tithing
Steve writes specificially
about the TITHE. Increasingly preachers appeal to the TITHE to
support modern "priests" as well as the Levitical "musicians" who
MOCKED the type of Jesus Christ. Therefore, soliciting under the LAW
OF GIVING is undoubtedly the same heresy. Therefore, we extend this
to "laying by in store" when 90 to 95 percent goes to UNLAWFUL
efforts and only a pittance to the truly poor.
I do not intend to imply
that Steve endorses all of my conclusions.
Rubel Shelly Sermon Review
The first example of LEGALISM
is about a man who had to pay the Tennessee Unemployment Office with
a mail order which cost him 50 cents to pay 10 cents owed on a job he
held six years earlier. Legalism makes no excuses, Rubel Says.
Rubel Shelly:
Laurie Hanniford worked
as a part-time swim instructor three years ago. The total wage Laurie
earned for that blissful summer was $316. As with most payrolls,
taxes were withheld and paid by her employer -- a total of $3.16 in
local taxes. In the spring of this year, she was fined $352 for her
failure to file a local tax return on her summer earnings in
Pennsylvania. Fourteen-year-old Laurie simply hadn't known the law
held her responsible for filing paperwork on an already-paid tax
bill.
Lester W. Taylor Jr. is a
police officer who caught and arrested two dangerous felons in May of
this year. Two men who had committed a series of crimes involving
robbery and rape were put behind bars when he alertly spotted their
car, pursued them until they jumped from the auto, and then ran them
down finally on foot. His supervisors in the District of Columbia
Police Department reprimanded him because a 1991 rule about police
chases technically allows a chase only when a serious crime is in
progress or about to occur.
Then church is ridiculed as
usual and several Bible examples are clearly not understood.

Works
But that's just the way law
works -- laws about overdue ten-cent fees, tax forms you didn't know
about, and statutory technicalities. Law doesn't bat an eye. It
doesn't look kindly on mistakes or ignorance or special
circumstances. They are all lumped under the heading of "failure to
comply" or "disobedience." Law lays down its strict stipulations and
expects its subjects to toe the mark and satisfy the demand. I
suppose law has to work that way for the sake of being fair,
impartial, and non-discriminatory.
But when we read stories like
these in the newspaper, we're somehow offended. There's something
wrong-headed about the outcomes. There is something downright
insulting about treating people like that and defending it by an
appeal to the fine
points of
law. Are the
technicalities of law ultimate in all the universe? Is it more
important to enforce rules than to understand people in special
circumstances? In its real-world application, you hope for -- even
expect -- law to be applied with compassion.
Then you go to church and hear
God portrayed as the ultimate stickler for complete adherence to the
letter of the law! You are told that one plank of anything but
gopher wood in
the structure of the ark would have sunk Noah, his family, and the
animals. You are told that Nadab and Abihu were consumed on the spot because they dared to
light their censers with fire from the wrong source. You hear the
blood-curdling story of poor old Uzzah who reached up to steady the
Ark of the Covenant and thus to keep it from being smashed on the
rocks but who was struck dead without mercy for violating the rule
against touching the holy box.
About the time I opened up
Rubel Shelly's replacement of the WORD with lots of ridicule for
those who believe in keeping the Words of God, I opened up an e-mail
from Steve
Davis with some
further thoughts on TITHING as something like the thirty pieces of
silver demanded of Judas. You do know, of course, that the JUDAS BAG
was for carrying the mouthpieces of WIND INSTRUMENTS. So, using Steve
as a launchpad, I would like to look at just one feature of Rubel's
sermon: using LEGALISM to extract the last full measure of
OPPRESSION.
SO JUST WHERE IS THE MOST
DEADLY FORM OF LEGALISTIC EXTRACTION OF MONEY TAKING
PLACE?
Paul alluded to the MUSICAL
IDOLATRY at Mount Sinai and the following case of NADAB AND
ABIHU who made
OFFERINGS which HAD NOT
BEEN COMMANDED. After
the MUSICAL IDOLATRY at Mount Sinai, God took away THE BOOK OF THE
COVENANT of Grace and gave Israel THE BOOK OF THE LAW. He turned the
nation over to WORSHIP THE STARRY HOST (STEPHEN, Acts 7) and
conditionally sentenced to captivity and death. Because God had not
commanded incense Nadab and Abihu could not have gotten it anywhere
but their old MUSICAL IDOLATRY. These LAWS were never intended to
have any spiritual effect. However, Paul leapfrogs back to Abraham to
define justification by faith BEFORE the law of Moes.
And I will make thy
seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed
all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the
earth be blessed; Gen 26:4
Because that
Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my
statutes, and my laws. Gen 26:5
The Old Testament was to be
taught in the church as a synagoge of Christ. Even if we are not to
crucify Jesus with INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC MOCKING we need to understand
the TYPES of the temple to understand that not among the vilest
pagans could the singers or musicians evern enter into the Holy Place
as a carnal TYPE of the body or church of Christ.
Whosoever therefore shall break
one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them,
the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mat 5:19
For I say unto you,
That except your
righteousness shall
exceed the righteousness of the scribes
and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of

God imposed the priesthood and
the people were excluded from God's presence. After Nadab and Abihu
who offered UNCOMMANDED INCENSE after Moses and Aaron had fully
complied with the LAW, God imposed further crushing rituals which
included the SCAPE Goat or sacrifice for Azazel
or Satan to SEND AWAY THE SINS which had
destroyed Nadab and Abihu.
They were consumed by fire for
ADDING or using the "Law of silence" which is the same "law" used by
SECTARIANS who adde music AS worship whereas the early
IMPROVISERS said that if it became PART of the worship then it
was sinful.
Contrary to premillenialism of
the "now but not yet kingdom" Paul wrote:
Wherefore we
receiving a kingdom
which cannot be
moved, let us have
grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: Heb 12:28

The Ark moving event is too
hard to explain to preachers: The JEBUSITE HIGH PLACE had been given
to David for a national and personal altar because David was too
fearful to go to Gibeon to seek God. In granting a king God warned
that the king would destroy the nation because they wanted to WORSHIP
LIKE THE NATION.
The first ARK move was a
CONGREGATIONAL effort whereas the sacrificial system was, like the
nations, for the king,
civil authorities and clergy. Things went right the second time when the
"congregation" was limited so as not to contaminate the national
congregation which met in synagogue beginning as the church in the
wilderness. This absolutely repudiated the same RISING UP TO PLAY
which the nation performed as MUSICAL IDOLATRY at Mount Sinai and for
which they were TURNED OVER to worship the starry hosts including
Chiun or Saturn whose Chaldee number IS 666. But, by repudiating some
clear Biblical examples, the WORD of God, as usual is ignored and the
OLD church of Christ is MALIGNED. All under the guise of preaching a
$1,000.oo or more sermon while riding TANDEM on the backs of widows
and working people.
PARASITES are defined in the Greek world as those
who serve in religious
temples. Therefore to
levy a 10 cent bill which cost 50 cents makes the STATE into a saint
compared to those who take the FREE WATER OF THE WORD (Isa 55) and
PEDDLE it for a fortune.
Hypocrites are rhetoricians,
sOPHISts, singers and musicians are guilty in Revelation of SORCERY.
They are all identified as PARASITES and of the SECT of the Hypocrites who are STILL subject to everlasting burning like
Nadab and abihu:
Hear, ye that are
far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my
might. Isaiah 33:13
The sinners in Zion are afraid;
fearfulness hath surprised the HYPOCRITES. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?

Paul declared that there was no
LAW called "The Law of Giving" which supports Rubel Shelly. Because
the TITHE repudiates the death of Christ and CLAIMS the role of
PRIEST and MUSICAL LEVITE, such monies are DECEITFULLY and
FRAUDULENTLY collected. Paul said that if they gaven when HE was in
their presence it would be EXHORTION.

Most preachers would say that
Israel just had a bad mental attitude. However, the music and other

The Apostle Paul spoke in
several ways to the Corinthian DISUNITY IN DIVERSITY. In the second
letter he defines the PROFESSIONAL super apostles by defining himself
IF he took a wage: they would be Robbers. Secondly, Steve notes that

The primary robbers in Malachi
were the clergy. They refused to bring tithes into the store room to
PURCHASE clergy to slaughter TYPES of Jesus Christ with the
accompanying NOISE (not music). The TITHE never included wages. It
was a tax ONLY of food products ONLY in Israel and ONLY from those
who were given FREE FARMS.
To ask for OFFERINGS from
hard won wages made people oppressors and robbers:

CHURCH which has not taken on the end time character (or lack

Elders and deacons
were the ONLY members of the congregation as teachers: both elder and

to it that an entire area was evangelized: the deacons in church
history were more able to GO out and preach as vocational

The word elder, bishop,
shepherd, deacon or minister DEMANDS that they work to support those
in need: those in need NEVER supported these tasks as part of thel
local congregation.

They will say, however, that
they serve at the altar. I answer, that the priests under the
law deserved
maintenance, by
ministering at an altar;
but that, as Paul
declares, the case under the New Testament is different. And what are those altar services, for which they allege that maintenance is due to
them?
Forsooth, that they may perform
their masses
and chant
in churches, for example, partly labor to no purpose, and partly
perpetrate
sacrilege, thereby
provoking the anger of God. See for what it is that they are
alimented at the public expense!
God is still a consuming
fire!

You don't have to worry
about getting to the Judgment and having a ten-cent bill outstanding,
a $352 fine for failure to file on a $316 salary, a reprimand for violating a technicality in doing

For we are the
circumcision,
which worship God
in the spirit,
and rejoice in Christ Jesus,
and have no confidence in the flesh.

The rhetoricians, sOPHISts,
singers, musicians and craftsmen (Koresh in the Lamech family)
related ONLY to the flesh. What is TRAFFICKED by Rubel Shelly and
post modern "churches" (Circe, holy whore: captures ministers with
sex and music then feeds her "congregation" with dung patty cakes, is
OF THE FLESH: I f you can see, hear or get zapped in the sexual
pleasure centers with music and charismatic SOPHISTRY then you are
wholly devoted to satisfying the LUST of the eyes and ears.
Paul always defines WORSHIP as
in the human spirit because the flesh will always PROSTITUTE for a

The Pharisees had their OWN
TRADITION specificially so that they did not have to obey God's laws.
They were not
subject to the law and NEITHER COULD THEY BE. This is why they would do murder to keep people
from believing that GOD'S LAWS are any more important that
"suggestions."
Jesus spoke in parables to the Jewish
clergy because they had
already sold their souls in the SECTS of the Pharisees (eating up
widows homes for speeches and prayers), Scribes (selling books
probably on company time, and Hypocrites.
As noted, the
hypocrites were singers, speakers, musicians who were all PARASITES
because they catered to inducing artificial sentiments. Music and
charismatic preaching induce endorphins which create the effect of
FIGHT, FLIGHT or SEXUALITY. It is addictive: church gives them a FIX
and they pay for it but they are made into DRUG ADDICTS to support
the habits. Music and drugs define the SORCERERS in the book of
Revelation. They serve the "holy whore" as the end time NEW STYLE
WORSHIP with TRAFFICKERS piling on the backs of widows and then
making fun of them for NOT GETTING OVER IT when someone takes away
your Sunday evening "service."
You badmouth the Law where
Jesus PAID IT ALL but then PRETEND that You gotta PAY ME ALL in order
to MEDIATE with God as a musical worship team "to lead you into the
presence of God." Musical SECTARIANS use the guilt clause and lie to
say that the non-instrumentalists are guilty for continuing their
1850 year practice. Commandment keepers are sold as LEGALISTS to hide
the fact that high finance selling silly work of the SCRIBES is the
true Legalist.
So, the Bible and the totality
of church history repudiates PREACHERS FOR PAY. It supported
evangelists but an evangelist without a GO button is not an
evangelist: he is a hypocrite and a parasite.
Don't worry about legalists,
worry about anti-legalists who do not want you to see that legalists
collect their pennies and those worshiping FAITH and GRACE want tens
of thousands of dollars to wreck your church and SOW DISCORD AMONG
THE BRETHREN.
Just think of a
Jubilee-influenced church procuring a "musical worship minister" for
$90,000.00 probably to PROP UP the "outreach minister" fleecing much
more so that he doesn't NEED a go button: he just uses music as the
pagan TWIN of sexuality to suck in the seekers. They called them
hypocrites and parasites and the POSTMODERN loss of the Bible
hasn't managed to change those
definitions.
Jesus insisted that
God ONLY SEEKS those who can worship IN SPIRIT and devoted to TRUTH.
"Spirit" was not EXHILARATED or ENRAPTURED: The human spirit is the
new PLACE where we worship INSTEAD of in buildings made with human
hands.
Paul defined the new worship of
the "circumcized" as "we worship God in the spirit." John was in the
spirit on the Lord's day. Nothing external can be defined as worship
which is to Paul almost exclusively GIVING HEED to Christ by giving
heed to His Words.
The church was not a pagan
worship center but a synagogue: a school of the Bible and of Christ.
That is why Paul in Romans 15 defined the synagogue as a way to
accomodate diverse backgrounds. First, if you imitate Christ you will
not PLEASE which means to create mental excitement. The "laded
burden" imposed by the clergy was "spiritual anxiety created by
religious ritual." Paul said that the pattern would be to glorify God
using THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN using ONE MIND and ONE VOICE.
You can ALL SPEAK THE SAME
THINGS if you follow the demand for the Elders who must "teach that
which has been taught." If he improvizes and sermonizes he HAS NOT
LOVE for the Word. To take pay then makes him a parasite and a
hypocrite.
There is no LAW OF GIVING so
keep your 10% so that you can afford to send your kids through
school. The only "OWE" was for those who PROSPERED to help those who
were DESTITUTE. Today's scam is NO better than the telemarketers who
often go to prison. About 5 to 10% of what you give to THE LORD will
ever get any role as ALMS. Jesus said that your ALMS should go from
your hand to the hand of the poor. Just do it beginning today because
OUR GOD IS STILL A
CONSUMING FIRE.

didn't make church into a pagan worship center with mediating priests
and musiciand then we would not evem have to answer these
questions.
Rubel Shelly is taking a hard,
legalistic aim at those fairly ignorant of the Old Testament trying
to prove that instrumental music is wrong. If you by Shelly's PROOF
TEXTS totally distorted then you are SUPPOSED to think of
instrumental music and "teams" as not very important on a scale of
legalism.
However, what Shelly doesn't
know is that INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC and singing idle (Idol) songs always
said to God: "We will not listen to your Word." There is no other
tradition but that Satan brought string, wind and percussion
instruments into the Garden of Eden as the harp- playing prostitute.
She was Lucifer, who will go back into hell with his/her musicians
and instruments. If we had never heard of Gopher wood it would not
make a slight difference. Legalists also ridicule these "arguments"
to enable PERFORMANCE WORSHIP as the most ancient, superstitious
belief that you could AID the gods in doing their work or threaten
them or make love to appeas them so that they didn't destroy
you.
Those who "sang" Lord, Lord
were musical prophesiers and they claimed supernatural powers to cast
out demons. The "prophesiers" sang and played instruments and helped
you find your lost goat or even raise the dead. Don't EVER believe
