Exodus 18 And the Synagogue or Church of Christ

The Synagogue was the Church of Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness: it is Qahal or Ekklesia. It was defined to quarantine the godly people from the curse of the sacrificial system.

Exodus.18.Synagogue.Church.of.Christ

The synagogue was the School of the Word and continued from Jacob's warning about Levi in Genesis 49 until today.  It did not cease during the Babylonian Captivity but became more regulated.  The godly Jews were quarantined from the sacrificial system to which God abandoned the tribe of Levi because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai.

The Qahal, synagogue, ekklesia or Church of Christ (the Rock) was held on each first and last day of festivals. When settled in the land this Holy Convocation or Reading Assembly was held on the sabbath or rest day simply because this was the REST day where people had the leasure.

Jacob warned everyone not to attend the Qahal or synagogue of Levi (Genesis 49) nor to enter into covenant with them.  After God abandoned them at Mount Sinai

THE PATTERN FOR THE SYNAGOGUE OR CHURCH BEFORE THE FALL AT MOUNT SINAI.

Ex. 18:15 And Moses said unto his father in law,
        Because the people come unto me to INQUIRE OF GOD
Ex. 18:16 When they have a matter, they come unto me;
        and I judge between one and another,
        and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.
Ex. 18:17 And Moses’ father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.
Ex. 18:18 Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee:
        for this thing is too heavy for thee;
        thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.

Ex. 18:19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee:
        Be thou for the people to Godward,
        that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:

Ex. 18:20 And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws,
        and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk,
       and the work that they must do.

Cic. S. Rosc. 39.113  Is it not so? In the most trifling affairs be who neglects a commission, must be condemned by a most dishonouring sentence; what punishment ought to be inflicted on that man who has NOT hindered some private advantage by his carelessness,  but has polluted and stained by his treachery the solemnity of the very commission itself? or by what sentence shall he be condemned?

Heb. 12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh.

        much more shall not we escape,
        if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
Heb. 12:26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying,
        Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
Heb. 12:27 And this WORD, Yet once more,

Because Moses admitted that he needed help especially in instructing all of the people:

Exodus 31 KEEPING the REST day prohibited the same lack of reverence.
Exodus 32 God gave them the 40 DAY TEST and they fell into vocal and instrumental rejoicing violating the direct commands they REFUSED to hear.  God sentenced the people into Babylonian captivity and death without redemption.,
The Holy Convocation on the REST days came to be each SABBATH or Rest day and the same ALARM or

TRIUMPH OVER is outlawed when you call the Qahal, synagogue, ekklesia or Church of Christ (the Rock).

God made the people BLIND and DEAF until ANOTHER PROPHET like Moses came. Only those who turn to Christ are now able to read BLACK text on BROWN PAPER.

This was prophesied to happen ONCE MORE to shake away ANYTHING you make or compose:
