That is undoubtedly true but the WILL of God against SORCERERS who use musical (magical) instruments to exercise mind control is based on RECORDED TEXT. Johnny Miles will ALSO think that he has divine authority for which there is no command, example or inference:

When Paul silenced both male and female in the assembly, the only role from the wilderness onward was the senior and non-mercinary elder to PREACHED the Word (only) by READING the Word. That is what Paul commanded Timothy.
There is no LAW of tithing or LAW of "laying by the preacher" and recorded history and Restoration leaders denied that a church had a budget. If you HIRE all of that STAFF you have to in the words of Paul who denied that giving EVEN to the destitute was a command, EXTORT from the honest workers.
In history, if a preacher or "apostle" stumbled in wanting to teach something, they let him tell them what they DIDN'T already know for a week or two: if he remained they got him a job. If he refused to work neither shall he eat and they used the Phoebe officer of the government to get him a ticket on the next ship leaving the country. If poets or singers came into a civil society, they in effect Tarred and Feathered him and rode him out to the next county: because no such creature is allowed in our society.

THE REAL DECLARATION AND ADDRESS
Why would Johnny Miles presume human authority or power to IMPOSE new commands or ordinances upon the Church. Why isn't the command of Jesus to teach what HE commanded to be taught good enough?5. That with respect to the commands and ordinances of our Lord Jesus Christ, where the Scriptures are silent as to the express time or manner of performance, if any such there be, no human authority has power to interfere, in order to supply the supposed deficiency by making laws for the Church; nor can anything more be required of Christians in such cases, but only that they so observe these commands and ordinances as will evidently answer the declared and obvious end of their institution.
Much less has any [16] human authority power to IMPOSE new commands or ordinances upon the Church, which our Lord Jesus Christ has not ENJOINED. Nothing ought to be RECEIVED into the faith or worship of the Church, or be made a term of communion among Christians, that is not as old as the New Testament.
6. That although inferences and deductions from Scripture premises, when fairly inferred, may be truly called the doctrine of God's holy word,

Thomas Campbell would have gotten his education on Bible Authority as a Calvinist. We have proven that the LOGOS which is said to be GOD and WITH God meaning that which God SPEAKS. It is defined above as the Regulative Principle which is OPPOSITE to rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting or any of what Jesus defined the role of the HYHPOCRITE. Campbell simply followed all historic Bible scholars which assuredly does not include any one out of Abilene.

Maybe Johnny thinks that making fun of Gods right to express His will by debating three empty chairs is MANLY and not folly. Any Bible reader knows that God is NOT Silent giving elders the right to fill in the blanks. The Church of Christ (the Rock) defined the Church in the wilderness both inclusively and exclusively.

Jesus said that UNITY existed between Himself and God because He spoke only what the Father told Him to speak. His Word or LOGOS is defined as the regulative principle and excludes any and all of the effeminate hypocritic arts and crafts.
Unity among Disciples who are Students (only) of Christ (only) is based on THEIR speaking only what Jesus commanded them to speak. Christ outlawed "vocal or instrumental rejoicing" including preacher speak. Paul showed how this UNITY was always possible if people do not REPROACH Christ by SELF-PLEASURE (all of the performing arts) and "using one mind and one mouth to speak that which is written for our LEARNING.
Jesus PATTERNED that by standing up to READ from the Prophets and then SAT DOWN. All of the synagogues all around the world were UNITED because they joined one another to READ the Word of God which was covered by a schedule.
Johnny Miles: Where do we the elders get our authority to IMPOSE something Christ did not teach? Why, WE got it from God. God empowerd men to make decisions by the indwelling Spirit. God empowers those who imbibe the Holy Spirit to to engage culture.
It is a lie for any human who has not seen and heard the risen Christ to say that the Spirit OF Christ which He defined as HIS WORDS (John 6:63) tell them something which cannot be HEARD by the congregation who gets to follow that elder who is faithful and obeys his only authority.

The Spirit OF Christ in Jeremiah 23 says that:
If you say that God commanded something
And God did not command it
They you DESPISE the WORD which is defined as Blaspheming the Holy Spirit OF CHRIST.
The Spirit or Breath of God has NO WORDS to add to what God thought. The Spirit OF Christ breathed on the APOSTLES and never ELDERS to guide them into all truth. The elders DIRECT COMMMAND is to Teach that which HAS been taught.
Peter left us a MEMORY of eye-- and ear-- witness testimony of Jesus after His resurrection.
He said that was the making certain of the PROPHECIES which defines A Church of Christ both inclusively and exclusively.
No one has the authority to private interpret or further expound: that would repudiate the Spirit Christ Who guided the apostles (only) into all truth.
Then Peter said that anyone who does not TEACH that which is written is a FALSE TEACHER.
Elders were pointed out because they were 'already working to the point of exhaustion in preaching and teaching. Their ONLY authority is to Teach that which has been taught. The NAME of the Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ in His post-glorified state. He presides through His Word.
In Matters of of silence, leaders have decided that the bible does not condemn instrumental music as worship.
THAT'S why elders have no AUTHORITY to make decisions. They are wrong and are probably reading off a paper prepared by Rick Atchley working with the Christian Churches.
While he elevates the bible, those who BIND on others to get uniformity create BARRIERS: in the words of another elder Satanic Barriers. We Divide the body. We make process more important than people.
I have never heard of anyone saying that they could not assemble without instrumental performance. Therefore NOT imposing instruments does not impose barriers. The elders USURP the authority of the OWNERS and Impose instruments: that presents a BARRIER probably to half of Heritage and to everyother member of the Church of Christ.
