NACC 2013 Revelation 11

NACC: In Thursday night, Kyle Idleman of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville will show us how evil is personified in Revelation 12-18 as a violent dragon, two grotesque beasts, and a prostitute. We need these shocking images because the world seeks to dress up ugly realities in beautiful disguises. To be victorious, we must see evil as it truly is, avoid being seduced by our culture, and remain fiercely faithful to Jesus.

Because Jesus spoke in parables to fool the Scribes and Pharisees, Hypocrites or Christ in Ezekiel 33 called self-speakers, singers and instrument players, reading the whole story line will show that the sudden invasion of  Musical Worship Teams (an oxymoron) and Instrumental Praise Bands is the BEAST and those who make the hard wired connection between spiritual worship and music are MARKED: Biblical and other recorded history proves that they have fallen and cannot get up.

Revelation 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying,
        Rise, and measure the
temple of God,
        and the altar,
        and them that worship therein.

The human spirit is the temple of God and A holy spirit or A good conscience is required before the Word of Christ which IS Spirit and Life will dwell within.  What goes on in spiritual worship (a place as opposed to houses) is measured by a rod TALLER THAN ANY clergy person.

A singer or instrument player who went INTO the not-commanded physical temple was to be executed by the Levites who were SOOTHSAYERS with musical instruments. Only one who has accepted the sacrifice and washed in the laver (7 feet deep) can enter into the Holy Place as a type of the church.

THE FIRST WITNESS BY THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST
Isaiah 57:3 But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore.

And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: Mi.5:12

"We even have a mention at a later date of a similar custom in connection with the cult in Jerusalem, where certain Levites, called me'oreim, 'AROUSERS,' sang (every morning?) this verse from "Ps 44:23: "Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever." The Talmud tells us that John Hyrcanus suppressed the practice because it recalled too readily a pagan custom." (Roland de Vaux, p. 247).

Isaiah 57:18 I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also,
        and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
Isaiah 57:19 I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off,
         and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
Isaiah 57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea,
        when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
Isaiah 57:21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

THE APOSTLES AS THE SECOND WITNESS MADE THE PROPHECIES MORE CERTAIN: direct commands which eleminates instument.
Hebrews 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
Hebrews 13:10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
Hebrews 13:11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Hebrews 13:13 Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
Hebrews 13:14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually,
         that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Revelation 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not;
        for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city
        shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Jesus said that worship is IN the sanctified Spirit: Paul said that they worshipped IN THE SPIRIT as opposed to IN THE FLESH.  The Kingdom of God is WITHIN US and Jesus warns us to NOT GO OUT when called.  He said that the Kingdom does not come with observation meaning Worship services. Those INSIDE attend A School of Christ: a Disciple of Christ is a STUDENT and not a ritualistic worshiper. The GENTILES or those NOT Spiritual ISRAEL are certainly trampling with organized agents from once Christian colleges and ALL denominational structures.

Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses,
        and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

The Prophets and Apostles as the ONLY witnesses have suffered about 35 years if you can make the TYPE fit from the time of the Stone-Campbell Movement. See Leroy Garrett, Rubel Shelly etal DISMISSING the Prophets they never read AND the Apostles who made the FIRST WITNESS more certain.

This is also the Leroy Garret teaching as it is enhanced by the Vineyard:

Leroy Garrett stated an earlier pattern:

"This is to say that the gospel is not the whole of the New Testament scriptures,
...... for the gospel was a reality long before the scriptures were written.

Strictly speaking,
...... the teachings of the apostles are not facts, as the gospel is, but interpretations, implications, and edification based on the gospel. In this area, that of the didache (teaching) even the apostles differed in their ideas and emphases.

The churches for whom these documents were written were likewise different from each other.

Garrett goes on to define the "gospel" as something revealed but not subject to debate but:

The doctrine allows for debate and dialogue, for intellectual stimulation and the stretching of the mind. It nurtures us in Christ,

but in such a way that each man develops according to his own uniqueness. The pragmatic mind as well as the speculative mind finds food for thought. Its design is (not) to make us all alike in our thinking, but to make us mature in Christ.

So, we have the "oral gospel" which was in effect before the "graphe," and the seven ones defined above are the only things which we can use to accept or reject fellowship.

All of the rest of the Bible is just pre-post-modern understandings of the apostle-prophets opinions or interpretations. That means "uninspired" to this writer.

"'The implications of all this to unity and fellowship are weighty. It means that the gospel itself, not our doctrinal interpretations, is the basis of our being one in Christ and in fellowship with each other.

That is, when one believes in Jesus and obeys him in baptism, he is our brother and in the fellowship ...

That fellowship is strengthened and made joyful by doctrine, but it is the gospel and not doctrine that determines the fellowship...' (Leroy Garrett, "The Word Abused," Restoration Review, Vol. XVII, No. 3, pp. 42-46)", ibid, pp. 54-55.

Not only the Bible but modern teachers are treated with the same method. Therefore, Alexander Campbell can be twisted to teach salvation by faith only when Alexander Campbell taught just the opposite--if we read Alexander Campbell as Campbell wrote and concluded.

THE PRESENT MURDER OF THE TWO WITNESSES: PROPHETS AND APOSTLES

Mark 7:5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him,
        Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders,
        but eat bread with unwashen hands?
Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them,
        Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written,
        This people honoureth me with their LIPS, but their heart is far from me.
Mark 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me,
        teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (songs, sermons)
Mark 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God,
        ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups:
        and many other such like things ye do.
Mark 7:9 And he said unto them,
        Full well ye reject the commandment of God,
        that ye may keep your own tradition.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites for ye devour widows houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Matt 23:14

Ezek. 33:4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning;
        if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

This was OUTLAWED for the Church in the wilderness: Common decency when God's Word (only) is being taught.

Ezek. 33:30 Also, thou son of man,
         the children of thy people still are talking against thee
        by the walls and in the doors of the houses,

Ezek. 33:31 And they come unto thee AS the people cometh,
        and they sit before thee AS my people,
        and they hear thy words, but they will not do them:
        for with their mouth they shew much love,
        but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

Jameson Fawcett Brown notes: Vulgate translates, "They turn thy words into a song of their mouths." heart goeth after covetousness--the grand rival to the love of God; therefore called "idolatry," and therefore associated with impure carnal love, as both alike transfer the heart's affection from the Creator to the creature.

SING in Scripture or the Greek world was NOT a musical production which is ANTI-teaching.

But the ancient and, almost universally, the primitive idea of music is LIKE THAT OF SPEECH in which most inflections are in fact cadences, while rising inflexions express less usual sentiments, such as surprise or interrogation.

Christ's definition of nothing of value

Ezekiel 33:32NIV Indeed, to them you are nothing more
        than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice
        and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words
        but do not put them into practice.

Ezek. 33:33 When all this comes true–and it certainly will–
        then they will know that a prophet was among them."

The Prototype of Babylon-Tyre Israel. Sodom not spiritual Israel. Jesus referenced Isaiah and Ezekiel to define the national Worship of the Starry Host--Abaddon The End-Time Fulfillment

For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people. Ezek 26:7

They will plunder your wealth and
    loot your merchandise;
    they will break down your walls
    and demolish your fine houses

    and throw your stones, TIMBER and rubble into the sea. Ezek 26:12

Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses,

and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying,

Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. Eze 33:30

Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
I will put an end to your noisy songs, and the music [sound] of your harps will be heard no more. Ezek 26:13

The LXX is more forceful in showing that both the music and the musicians would be silenced---

"And he shall destroy the multitude of thy musicians, and the sound of thy psalteries shall be heard no more." Ezek. 26:13 LXX

My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words,

    but they do not put them into practice.

With their mouths they express devotion (Lord, Lord as amorousness - inordinate love),

    but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain (commerce or trade or attendance). Eze 33:31

Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird

And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; Rev 18:22

I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more:
    though thou be sought for,
    yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord God. Ezek 26:2

Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone

And altogether the ancient philosoj)hy of the Greeks appears to have been very much addicted to music; and on this account they judged Apollo to have been the most musical and the wisest of the gods, and Orpheus of the demigods. And they called every one who devoted himself to the study of this art a sophist, as
Aeschylus does in the verse where he says — And then the sophist sweetly struck the lyre.

Musae (Mousai). In Greek mythology the Muses were originally the nymphs of springs, whose waters gave inspiration, such as Hippocrené, Castalia, etc.; then goddesses of song in genera. They are all female and are considered goddesses dwelling in Olympus, who at the meals of the gods sing sweetly to the lyre of Apollo. They are the nine daughters of Zeus.

The Two Witnesses are the Prophets by the Spirit OF Christ and the Prophecies made more Certain by Jesus of Nazareth. The apostles were eye- and ear-witnesses and left a MEMORY for us to follow.

Luke 11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles,
         and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

A Church of Christ is built upon the foundation of these Prophets and Apostles.  The Beast people began to KILL these two witnesses by preaching Just Jesus and denying that the Epistles were TRUTH (Leroy Garrett)

JESUS IS IN ABSOLUTE COMMAND UNLESS YOU WISH TO MURDER THE TWO WITNESSES
1Tim. 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to (public) reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
1Tim. 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy,
        with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
1Tim. 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them;
         that thy profiting may appear to all.
1Tim. 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine;
        continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Meditate is Meletae which is the meaning of speaking with GRACE or the Divine influence on the heart (Col 3:16). That is the meaning of PSALLO which is never used to speak of MUSICAL MELODY.
THE FIRST WITNESS IS FAITHFULLY FOLLOWED BY THE SECOND WITNESS
2Corinthians 3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
2Corinthians 3:13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face,
        that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
2Corinthians 3:14 But their minds were blinded:
        for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away
        in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
2Corinthians 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
2Corinthians 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn [be baptized] to the Lord,
        the vail shall be taken away.
For those who have A SPIRIT tell them that God COMMANDED INSTRUMENTAL  praise (Rick Atchley) the Holy Spirit is now Jesus Christ the Righteous in His Holy Spiritual form. HE is the only teacher when the elders "teach that which has been taught."
2Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit:
        and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
The Spirit OF The Lord is available through the WORDS of Jesus into whom God breathed (spirit) His word without METER as the word most often means.
Of those who Private Interpret or Further Expound with one's own opinion is outlawed and is the MARK of those who:
2Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
2Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord,
        are changed into the same image from glory to glory,
         even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Peter Affirmed the PROPHETS as the FIRST WITNESS and His "memory" as an APOSTLE as the second witness.
1Peter 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently,
        who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Peter 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ
        which was in them did signify, when it testified [WITNESSED] beforehand the sufferings of Christ,
        and the glory that should follow.
1Peter 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves,
        but unto us they did minister the things,
        which are now reported unto you
        by them that have preached the gospel unto you  [The Second Witness]
        with the Holy Ghost [Living Word] sent down from heaven;
        which things the angels desire to look into.

Jesus went into heaven in His CHANGED state and received the PROMISE of the Holy Spirit: that is God gave Him the evangelistic role as the LIVING Spirit of God and HE is still the only SPEAKER when the elders "teach that which has been taught."

Revelation 22:9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not:
        for I am thy fellowservant,
        and of thy brethren the prophets,
        and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

The Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites always murdered the Prophets: Ezekiel 33 names them self-speakers, singers and instrument players speaking their OWN word.

Matthew 23:30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers,
        we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
Matthew 23:35 That upon you may come
        all the righteous blood shed upon the earth,
         from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias,
        whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
Luke 11:51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias,
        which perished between the altar and the temple:
        verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

Revelation 11:4 These are the two olive trees,
        and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

THE SEVEN SPIRITS WHICH RESTED ON MESSIAH

Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the [1] LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of [2] wisdom and [3] understanding, the spirit of [4] counsel and [5] might, the spirit of [6] knowledge and of the [7] fear of the LORD;
Isaiah 11:3 And shall make him of quick understanding [spiritual] in the fear of the LORD:
         and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes,
        neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Isaiah 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth,
        and with the breath [spiritu] of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
Isaiah 11:5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins,
        and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Revelation 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city,
        which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Revelation 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

Revelation 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth
        shall rejoice over them, and make merry,
        and shall send gifts one to another;
        because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

Revelation 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them,
        and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

Revelation 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them,
        Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud;
        and their enemies beheld them.

Revelation 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake,
        and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake
        were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted,
        and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Revelation 11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded;
        and there were great voices in heaven, saying,
        The kingdoms of this world are become the
        kingdoms of our Lord,
                and of his Christ;
                and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Revelation 11:16 And the four and twenty elders,
        which sat before God on their seats,
        fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

Revelation 11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks,
        O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come;
        because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

Revelation 5:8 And when he had taken the book,
        the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb,
        having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours,
                which are the prayers of saints.

When the Elders and the Beasts finally fall in front of the Lamb, they will NOT play.

Revelation 11:18 And the nations were angry,
        and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead,
        that they should be judged,
        and that thou shouldest give reward
                unto thy servants the prophets,
                and to the saints, [Informed by the Apostles in the written record]
                and them that fear thy name, small and great;
                and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

The Spirit OF Christ spoke through the Prophets. Jesus of Nazareth made these prophecies more certain. Peter said that this not subject to private interpretation of further expounded. That would blaspheme Christ because Peter said that the apostles were eye-- and ear--witnesses of the teaching and risen Lord. No human has anything to add to that. It is outlawed.

Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven,
        and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament:
        and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

All of these sounds create panic or terror: when you hear these musical bands making all of these sounds in Zion or A Church of Christ the second angel in Revelation 14 warns of judgment and commands the LIVING to preach the gospel to all nations.

Baptized believers are translated into His heavenly Kingdom. Tabernacle in heaven took blood. All of these SOUNDS-LIKE produce panic and they are the prelude to Satan attacking the Church of Christ.
