Worship of God is to FALL ON YOUR FACE.  There is no Scripture with anyone WORSHIPING by Preaching, Listening, singing, playing instruments, acting or Pay for Play

"in PRIMITIVE religion any violent or abnormal emotional state was attributed to the gods and regarded as mystical. Both in the Bible and in Homer there are examples of misleading and catastrophic inspiritation. When Jehovah wished King Ahab to be killed in battle, he put a 'lying spirit' in the mouths of his prophets in order that they might encourage the king to go to war (I Kings, xxii, 22)." (Parkes, p. 33)

"What primative men... wanted from the gods was health and strength, riches and long life, and they hoped to attain these things chiefly by ritual and sacrifice rather than by good conduct. The methods of early religion always remained largely magical, and its motivations thoroughly materialistic." (Parkes, p. 36).

Naga or
Nagash represents the musical serpent of Babylon. The word lagash is very similar and implicates speaking in tongues. It all began in the garden of Eden which is the story of the attack upon God's people by the worship of the harlot Babylon. "She" is still in business and will be until the end (See Revelation 18)

See the connection between Naga or serpent worship and speaking in tongues

See Devil and Serpent Worship Index.

See the Farmer's Branch Appeal to NAGAN which is implicated in defining Lucifer as the Harp playing prostitute in the garden of Eden and seeing both God and Ezekiel as harp playing, singing prostitutes.

The adversary, Satan, devil, serpent and the "wandering stars" or planets are names given to physical forces hostile to the human spirit. While the One True God is pure or Holy Spirit, the "gods" of the world are human heros, demons or spirits of the dead or great inventors or composers of hymns. Hymns are magical incantations which are believed to have the power to appease the gods along with food, clothing, housing or sexual favors as part of the liturgy. Musicians almost always fall into the error that God is worshiped through "the idolatry of talent." For that individual, that constitutes their "fall" and they probably can never get up.

The One Holy God cannot be evil and therefore any thing which produces evil resluts is hostile to a world of peace, right living and justice. Many of the evil forces had their beginning in visions of purity and holiness. "Fallen angels" or gods were those people or "beings" who decided that they had talent or skills or knowledge because of their own power. The result was an attempt to divert honor from a Spirit God. The way to do that is by imaging themselves as serpents, musicians, poets or soothsayers.

The "wandering stars" or planets--the host of heaven--are at one level personified as forces of good or evil.

God as Pure or Holy Spirit can only be worshiped in spirit.

The God of the Bible is Holy Spirit. Holy is not a first name: holy means pure. A Spirit god is not made up of human material. Neither does He live in the dimensions of time and space. God created mankind with a human spirit. This spirit may be used to seek Spirit. Any effort to seek God in physical rituals is not the worship of Spirit by spirit.

For instance, a physical or secular society without redemption can "worship" God by literally falling on the face.

However, the word "seek" or "give attention to" is the only way to honor a Spirit God Who also had the characteristic of absolute Truth. If we had met Isaac Asimov we would have honored him by seeking to know more about him and what he knew. If we met Isaac and tried to read him OUR latest science fiction he was grand enough to insult us.

The Christian system has a pattern: the synagogue. The synagogue like the ekklesia was devoted to informing the community. The synagogue had no "musical worship teams" to facilitate worship. Why? Why, because we honor God only by seeking to know His Holy Spirit which is the Mind of Christ. Christianity is built upon the belief that God can and has revealed spiritual values to the human mind. Like Judaism and Islam, Christianity is built at the human level on a Book.

The Christian system has negative regulations: however valuable it is to contribute to the wellfare of our community, "the collection" is not spiritual worship. Therefore, Jesus absolutely paid the temple tax and insisted that our alms be held very private. The same was true of prayers. He did give support to the public reading of the Word.

The Christian system has absolute, positive regulations: "worship" words include, like the Old Testament period, seeking God through the Word or "giving attendance to the reading of the Word and meditating on it. Spiritual worship includes speaking the Word one to another and meditating on it in the heart: making melody.

The "enemy of spirit" is Satan--the liar, the adversary. We serve him in "giving attention" to any human, physical or mythical creature or created thing. This includes the starry host or human "stars" in "the idolatry of talent."

Satan is doing his work through his agents when any human attempts to speak for God with his own words. Satan works when anyone "steals" a bit or all of the attention owed to God Who is found living only in OUR mind or spirit. However beautiful musical performance is, it is not spiritual worship and destroys spiritual worship: if you feel the thrill in you body you are not "in the Spirit on the Lord's day" or any day.

The first image the Bible reconstructs is of the intimate walk of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden with God. All of the symbolism surrounding Satan shows that the enemy of that spiritual relationship comes from the middle east or "East of Eden."

We are fully aware that "serpents" do not speak. Nor or they able to seduce people. Therefore, as the Assyrians were "the tallest tree in Eden" we look beyond the image of a serpent to try to discover how it figured in the "east of Eden" religions.

The "serpent" is related to the nagas who were the originators of the worship of the "creature" and the worshiper did not and probably was not interested in finding God in their heart. They still worship serpents and cows: holy cow's urine is still used by mothers to wash the face of their child.

Americans are no less superstitious when they believe that they can "wash the face" of God with the voice, movements or emotions of the human, carnal body. Here is some background. It is not a "short story" but a collection of information:

NAGA

"Udyana, in modern Pakistan, was famous for its water dragons. This is a story of one of those dragons. The Naga are thought to be semi-divine snakes with human faces and serpents tails. It is in the Patala, a watery region under the earth that they reside.

"It was by his subtle but powerful charms that the Naga Apalala was able to keep the wicked dragons in check. He prevented them from scourging the countryside with violent rainstorms. Asian dragons are quite often associated with the life-giving waters. Thanks to the Naga Apalala this countryside prospered and the grain grew thickly. In gratitude each family offered him a bit of grain as tribute. After some time several of the inhabitants of the place began to forego the yearly offering. The Naga became angry and prayed that he might become a poisonous dragon so that he could drench the countryside in rain and wind. So it is that at the end of his life he became the dragon of that country. To this day Rajas (local princes) in the Hindu Kush are said to be able to control the elements as their influence over local dragons provides.

NagaTrump.gif"Snakes or nagas are usually represented as gigantic cobras with several hoods, or with a human head and serpent body. They are considered the kings of all other snakes, capable of assuming beguiling human forms. They live in Patala loka and their capital city, Bhogvati, is the richest and the most beautiful city in the whole universe."

naga.gifNaga and nagi, stone statue from Bihar Sharif, Bihar, India, 9th century AD; in the Indian Museum, Calcutta Pramod Chandra

The Britannica Online notes that: Sanskrit NAGA ("serpent"), in Hindu and Buddhist mythology, a member of a class of semidivine beings, half human and half serpentine.

They are considered to be a strong, handsome race who can assume either human or wholly serpentine form.

They are regarded as being potentially dangerous but in some ways are superior to humans. They live in an underground kingdom called Naga-loka, or Patala-loka, which is filled with resplendent palaces, beautifully ornamented with precious gems.

Of the king of Tyre as the "Change Agent" of Lucifer:

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold:

the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Eze.28:13

[loka in Hindu cosmography, the universe or any particular division of it. The most common division of the universe is the tri-loka, or three worlds (heaven, earth, atmosphere; later, heaven, world, nether-world). Each of the tri-lokas is again divided into seven regions, variously described and listed depending upon the source. Sometimes, instead of the tri-loka, 14 worlds are enumerated: 7 above earth and 7 below. Whatever the division, it illustrates a basic Hindu concept, that of innumerable hierarchically ordered worlds.]

Brahma is said to have relegated the nagas to the nether regions when they became too populous on earth and to have commanded them to bite only the truly evil or those destined to die prematurely. They are also associated with waters--rivers, lakes, seas, and wells--and are generally regarded as guardians of treasure.

Three notable nagas are Sesa (or Ananta), who in the Hindu myth of creation is said to support Vishnu-Narayana as he lies on the cosmic ocean and on whom the created world rests;

Vasuki, who was used as a churning rope to churn the cosmic ocean of milk;

and Taksaka, the tribal chief of the snakes. In modern Hinduism the birth of the serpents is celebrated on Naga-pañcami in the month of Sravana (July-August).

The female nagas (or nagis), according to tradition, are serpent princesses of striking beauty, and the dynasties of Manipur in northeastern India, the Pallavas in southern India, and the ruling family of Funan (ancient Indochina) traced their origin to the union of a human being and a nagi.

In art, nagas are represented in a fully zoomorphic form, as hooded cobras but with from one to seven or more heads; as human beings with a many-hooded snake canopy over their heads; or as half human, with the lower part of their body below the navel coiled like a snake and a canopy of hoods over their heads. Often they are shown in postures of adoration as one of the major gods or heroes is shown accomplishing some miraculous feat before their eyes.

cobra.gif

The
naga, a superhuman spirit, was taken from Buddhist and Hindu texts and merged with native counterparts, with the result that different images of the naga appeared in various regions. The Burmese naga was a snake with a crested head. The Mon naga was a crocodile, and the Khmer and Indonesian naga was conceived as a nineheaded snake. Britannica Online

"The Nagas of Indian mythology were a race of serpent demons. There name means 'those who do not walk, who creep.' Most often they manifested themselves as beasts with bodies that were half-man, half-serpent, although sometimes they assumed the shape of a dragon, or simply appeared in the guise of a cobra.

A precious gem was embedded in their throats or skulls, and this emdowed them with great magical powers.

"They haunted lakes and rivers, but their true domain was a vast, idyllic region below the sea. In Patala, their underwater habitat, they hoarded great amounts of jewels and precious metals.

Here the demons dwelt with their seductive mates, the Naginis who, like mermaids, seduced mortals into the briny depths.

sirenelyre.jpg

nagini.jpgPhoto Source of Nagini: "The Nagas were greatly feared for their venom, which they used to lethally wound all those wealthy enough to be enticing prey. The Nagas once fatally wounded a king renowned for his riches, and famous for his benevolence. The kind's son obtained revenge by slaughtering thousands of serpents with a poweful incantation.

The Nagas finally hired a wise man who, with a counterspell, put a stop to the mass execution of the demons.

"A good example of the Nagas' greed is the story of how they got their forked tongues. When the elixir of immortality was being rationed by the gods, the Nagas grabbed the cup containing the sacred potion. The gods reclaimed the cup but, during the struggle, a few drops were spilled onto the ground. The Nagas eagerly licked them up, but the cutting grass, covering the earth, split their tongues which from then on remained forked. L. Savage

(© 1996) Notes that, "The word Naga is rooted in Sanskrit and means "Serpent". In the East Indian pantheon it is connected with the Serpent Spirit and the Dragon Spirit. It has an quivalency to the Burmese Nats, or god-serpents. In the Esoteric Tradition it is synonymous for Adepts, or Initiates. In India and Egypt, and even in Central and South America, the Naga stands for one who is wise. [These were trained ministers uniquely wise]

"Nagarjuna of India, for example, is shown with an aura, or halo, of seven serpents which is an indication of a very high degree of Initiation.

"The symbolism of the seven serpents, usually cobras, are also on Masonic aprons of certain systems in the Buddhistic ruins of Cambodia (Ankhor) and Ceylon.

"The great temple-builders of the famous Ankhor Wat were considered to be the semi-divine Khmers. The avenue leading to the Temple is lined with the seven-headed Naga. And even in Mexico, we find the "Naga" which becomes "Nagal." In China, the Naga is given the form of the Dragon and has a direct association with the Emperor and is known as the "Son of Heaven"...while in Egypt the same association is termed "King-Initiate". The Chinese are even said to have originated with the Serpent demi-gods and even to speak their language, Naga-Krita.

Judas was the incarnation of Satan

This Judas bag is from the Greek:

Remember that "forked tongues" of fire and speaking in tongues on the day of Pentecost was a judgmental sign against the Jewish multitude. Christ identified them as "sons of vipers" and identified their "father" as Satan.

Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Luke 3:7

A viper:

Echidna (g2191) ekh'-id-nah; of uncert. or.; an adder or other poisonous snake (lit. or fig.): - viper.

Echthros (g2190) ekh-thros'; from a prim. echtho , (to hate); hateful (pass. odious, or act. hostile); usually as a noun, an adversary (espec. Satan): - enemy, foe

Jesus refused to speak to the "multitudes" except in parables. This was to keep the "serpent disciples" from understanding His message for defeating them.

And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately,

and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. Mk.4:15

Spiritual worship under the Law and in Christianity must be "in spirit" and "in truth." National animal sacrifices were made in Gerezim and in Zion or Jerusalem. However, the people are never said to have "worshiped" by the loud noise which is not defined as "music." Rather, animal sacrifices were imposed on Israel when they rose up to play in musical idolatry at Mount Sinai. God then and there "turned them over to worship the starry hosts" all of which represent Satan.

Jesus told the Samaritan woman that God is worshiped in the PLACE of the human spirit rather than in the secular HOUSE. However, "musical" worship has always been a way to "take away the key to knowledge" by shutting down the rational (spiritual) mind and playing directly upon the human senses or emotions.

A preacher can "plant" the seed all he wishes but the "musical worship" immediately takes away all but the emotional content. All ancient scholars understood that.

And the sign to Judas was "sop" which is related to grinding one into powder or external "musical melody."

And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. Jn 13:27

Glosokomon (g1101) gloce-sok'-om-on; from 1100 (speaking in tongues) and the base of 2889; prop. a case to keep mouthpieces of wind-instruments in, i.e. (by extens.) a casket or (spec.) purse: - bag.

It is made up of two words:

1. Glossa (from Strong's g1100) means "speaking in tongues" especially an unacquired one.

Tongue is from the Hebrew--

Lashown (H3956) law-shone'; also (in plur.) fem. from 3960; the tongue (of man or anmals), used

literally. (as the instrument of licking, eating, of speech), and

figurative. (speech, an ingot, a fork of flame, a cove or water): - babbler, bay, / evil speaker, language, talker, tongue, wedge

lashan (h3960) law-shan'; a prim. root; prop. to lick; but used only as a denom. from 3956;

to wag the tongue, i. e. to calumniate: - accuse, slander.

2. Kosmos (g2889) means the "orderly arrangement" or the "adorning" world. this is derived from (g2864 or Komizo which means "to carry off."

And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 1Co.1:28

Pseudo-Apollodorus Library vol. 2.49 (Loeb) reveals some of the beliefs that Satan can lick the tongue and give you prophetic power. Of Apollo (Apollyon, Abbadon):

"Apollo deprived Cassandra of the power of persuading men of the truth of her prophecies

by spitting into her mouth.
We have seen that by a similar procedure Glaucus was robbed of the faculty of
divination.

See above, Apollod. 3.3.2. An entirely different account of the way in which Cassandra and her twin brother Helenus acquired the gift of prophecy is given by a Scholiast on Hom. Il. vii.44. He says that when the festival in honour of the birth of the twins was being held in the sanctuary of the Thymbraean Apollo,

the two children played with each other there and fell asleep in the temple.

Meantime the parents and their friends, flushed with wine, had gone home, forgetting all about the twins whose birth had given occasion to the festivity.

Next morning, when they were sober, they returned to the temple and found the sacred serpents purging with their tongues the organs of sense of the children.

Frightened by the cry which the women raised at the strange sight, the serpents disappeared among the laurel boughs which lay beside the infants on the floor;

but from that hour Cassandra and Helenus possessed the gift of prophecy. For this story the Scholiast refers to the authority of Anticlides.

In like manner Melampus is said to have acquired the art of soothsaying through the action of serpents which licked his ears. See above, Apollod. 1.9.11

Fittingly, Satan is called the Kosmokrator:

Kosmokrator (g2888) kos-mok-rat'-ore; from 2889 and 2902; a world-ruler, an epithet of Satan: - ruler.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 2 Corinthians 10:4

Weapon and musical instrument come from the same Hebrew and Greek word.

For a place that has no serpents, Tibet, they are still known in a symbolic sense and are called "Lu!" (Naga). Nagarjuna called in Tibetan, Lu-trub.

In the Western traditions we find the same ubiquity for the Naga, or Serpent. One simple example is the Ancient Greek Goddess, Athena. She is known as a warrior Goddess as well as the Goddess of Wisdom; her symbol being the Serpent as displayed on her personal shield.

Of course, in Genesis the Serpent is a Naga who instructs the new infant (humanity) in what is called the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

As Gnosticism continued this false religion, Sophia was identified as the "serpent" and ZOE was identified as the "beast." She is the "female instructing principle" and forced the junior "jehovah" to form a musical praise team. Of course, the music was to praise Zoe and Sophia.

Aristophanes Clouds Chorus (I.2)

Rain-bearing maidens, come to the glistening land of Athena, Cecrops' soil with its crop of fine he-men; here is the home of the sanctified rites none may speak of,

the temple in festival open for worship, gifts for the heavenly gods in abundance, temples on high, sacred statues and holy processions and sacrifice, ubiquitous garlands, festivities here throughout the year.

The onset of spring brings Dionysian joy, maddening dance, the music of the flute.

The "serpent" in the garden of Eden was:

Nachash (h5175) naw-khawsh'; from 5172; a snake (from its hiss): - serpent.

This word is derived from:
Nachash
(h5172) naw-khash'; a prim. root; prop. to hiss, i. e. whisper a (magic) spell; gen. to prognosticate: - * certainly, divine, enchanter, (use) * enchantment, learn by experience, * indeed, diligently observe.

The version of Eve also has its origin in India. Little is said of either Eve or Mary. However, "religions" have made both into feminist superior to both Jehovah and Jesus or the Logos. Sophia is identified as "the serpent" and Zoe is identified as "the beast." They forced the "jehovah" figure to form a musical team which forced the males to worship Zoe or Life. She is also identified as the "Lucifer" figure.

Mystically Vach is masculine and feminine at will, as in the Hebrew Genesis Eve is with Adam. It is through her power that Brahma produced the universe. Blavatsky points out that Brahma produced through Vach in the same way that the incomprehensible assumes a tangible form through speech, words, and numbers (cf SD 1:430).

Vach through her productive powers produced what Pythagoras called the music of the spheres.

The teachings of Pythagoras also speak of the hierarchies of the heavenly host as numbered and expressed in numbers. Vach is equivalent, in some aspects, to Isis, Aditi, mulaprakriti, the waters of space, chaos, and the Qabbalistic Sephirah.

"Whether as Aditi, or the divine Sophia of the Greek Gnostics, she is the mother of the seven sons: the 'Angels of the Face,' of the 'Deep,' or the 'Great Green One' of the 'Book of the Dead' " (SD 1:434).

These feminine logoi are all correlations of light, sound, and ether. In many aspects Vach approaches Kwan-yin, she of the melodious voice.

Lucifer (Latin) Light-bringer [cf Greek Phosphoros; or Eosphoros dawn-bringer]; the planet Venus, the morning star. Lucifer is light bringer to earth, not only physically as the brightest of the planets, but in a mystical sense also. In mysticism he is the chief of those minor powers or logoi who are said to rebel against high heaven and to be cast down to the bottomless pit -- the so-called war in heaven and the fall of the angels.

Sarasvati, the goddess of divine wisdom, is a later form of Vach. The Hebrew Lahgash is nearly identical in meaning with Vach

as the hidden power of the mantras, the divine sound. "But Vach being also spoken of as the daughter of Daksha -- 'the god who lives in all the Kalpas' -- her Mayavic character is thereby shown: during the pralaya she disappears, absorbed in the one, all-devouring Ray" (SD 1:430-1).

Vach is also called Savitri (the generatrix), the mother of the gods and of all living. She is identical in the human range with Eve, who is also called the mother of all living. Ila or Ida is but the second repetition of Vach in a different period of cosmogony. Vach refers to the cosmic and divine theogony, while Ila refers to a later period in the earth's history when the physiological transformation of the sexes took place during the third root-race. In this last sense Vach corresponds with Eve.

Vach is often called Sandhya (twilight), also Satarupa (a hundred forms) to describe the feminine logos unfolded into the ten planes and subplanes of the universe. The cow is a symbol of Vach, for the cow has always been the emblem of the passive generative power of nature.

HEAR this word, ye cows of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink. Amos 4:1

The Lord God hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks. Amos 4:2

And ye shall go out at the breaches, every cow at that which is before her; and ye shall cast them into the palace, saith the Lord. Amos 4:3

Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols. Amos 5:23

According to Stephen, the star image they used in the wilderness was:

Kiyyun (h3594) kee-yoon'; from 3559; prop. a statue, i. e. idol; but used (by euphemism) for some heathen deity (perh. corresp. to Priapus or Baal-peor): - Chiun.

SerpentInst.gifEnchantment, soothsaying or other magical powers of the children of Lamech (Jabal, Jubal, Tubal-Cain and Naamah) are connected with weapons and musical instruments. Jubal (Genun or keynin in various accounts) is named after the brass trumpet or yobel. this is the source of the musical Jubilee. In addition to the brass instruments such as pipes, trumpets or cymbals, stringed instruments are related to the "naga" word which carries the idea of being defeated or polluted.

The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels. Psalm 68:25

Players in this verse in Hebrew: Nagan (h5059) naw-gan'; a prim. root; prop. to thrum, i. e. beat a tune with the fingers; espec. to play on a stringed instrument; hence (gen.) to make music: - player on instruments, sing to the stringed instruments, melody, ministrel, play (-er, -ing..

Naga (h5060) naw-gah'; a prim. root; prop. to touch, i. e. lay the hand upon (for any purpose; euphem., to lie with a woman); by impl. to reach (fig. to arrive, acquire); violently, to strike (punish, defeat, destroy, etc.): - beat, (* be able to) bring (down), cast, come (nigh), draw near (nigh), get up, happen, join, near, plague, reach (up), smite, strike, touch.

Negiynah (h5058) neg-ee-naw'; from 5059; prop. instrumental music; by impl. a stringed instrument; by extens. a poem set to music; spec. an epigram: - stringed instrument, musick, Neginoth [plur.], song

As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee. Psalm 87:7

Players is the Hebrew: Chalal (h2490) khaw-lal'; a prim. root [comp. 2470]; prop. to bore, i. e. (by impl.) to wound, to dissolve; fig. to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one's word), to begin (as if by an "opening wedge"); denom. (from 2485) to play (the flute): - begin (* men began), defile, * break, defile, * eat (as common things), * first, * gather the grape thereof, * take inheritance, pipe, player on instruments, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute, slay (slain), sorrow, stain, wound.

Hebrew Dictionary linked to Strong Numbers Chalal (h2490) an instroctor/ of distance/space, start, commence; to redeem, to desecrate, make void, to create a cavity, vacuum, hollow, an empty space; a hollow/vacuum as a means to trap or bring together, nature; a vault, to make hollow: to wound, pierce, define, violate, make vulgar, wounded, slain, dead, the action of resisting: to break, disregard; violating instruction, to arrange/ an order of instruction; to assign, to pipe, play pipes

Chalah (h2470) khaw-law'; a prim. root [comp. 2342, 2470, 2490]; prop. to be rubbed or worn; hence (fig.) to be weak, sick, afflicted; or (causat.) to grieve, make sick; also to stroke (in flattering), entreat: - beseech, (be) diseased, (put to) grief, be grieved, (be) grievous, infirmity, intreat, lay to, put to pain, * pray, make prayer, be (fall, make) sick, sore, be sorry, make suit (* supplication), woman in travail, be (become) weak, be wounded.

Melody in Greek is compared to rub out grain or to triturate: to grind into powder.

Halal praise is similar. David and others often pretended insanity to declare themselves innocent before God -- not even God can condemn a crazy man:

Halal (h1984) haw-lal'; a prim. root; to be clear (orig. of sound, but usually of color); to shine; hence to make a show, to boast; and thus to be (clamorously) foolish; to rave; causat. to celebrate; also to stultify: - (make) boast (self), celebrate, commend, (deal, make), fool (- ish, -ly), glory, give [light], be (make, feign self) mad (against), give in marriage, [sing, be worthy of] praise, rage, renowned, shine.

For instance, of David trying to seduce the enemy into hiding him:

And he changed (perverted) his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad (h1984 halal) in their hands, and scrabbled (drummed marks) on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard. 1 Samuel 21:13

Satan is often personified in real people.

But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat (or burn up) of it, neither shall ye touch (naga) it, lest ye die. Genesis 3:3

Paul said that Eve was "seduced" in the garden.

The "Tree" is identified as Assyrian which was taller than all of the other trees in the garden of Eden. The fact that Eve was seduced has led to the conclusion that the sin was sexual. This is also affirmed by the traditional stories about the descendants of Cain.

The word for players, nagan, in Psalm 68 is parallel to the word Chalal (halal) in Psalm 87:

The singers went before, the players (h5059) on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels. Ps.68:25

As well the singers as the players (h2490) on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee. Ps.87:7

Heylel (h1966) hay-lale'; from 1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning-star: - lucifer.

Of the king/queen of Babylon:

Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms (maggots) cover thee. Isa 14:11

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! Isa 14:12

"Naga is one of a handful of rare words surviving the loss of the first universal language. In Buddhism, Wisdom has always been ties, symbollically, to the figure of the Serpent. In the Western Tradition it can be found as used by the Christ in the Gospel of Saint Matthew (x.16), "Be ye therefore as (wise as) serpents, and harmless as doves."

Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Eze.28:12

Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets (tambourines) and of thy pipes (flutes) was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Ezek 28:13

"In all mythological language the snake is also an emblem of immortality. Its endless representation with its tail in its mouth (Ouroboros), and the constant renewal of its skin and vigor, enliven the symbols of continued youth and eternity.
