Richard Beck Rublev Tattoo

Richard Beck My Rublev Icon Tattoo.  The spirit is really Mary the mother of gods and beasts.

Well, I've been hiding from you the big news in the Beck house.
I got a tattoo!

Richard Beck: If this is an icon of the events in Genesis 18 then why is the icon called Rublev's trinity? Well, the Orthodox iconographers were not allowed to depict God directly. That would be making a graven image.

7.31.15 Other views of the MARK show Abraham about to make a sacrifice: this repudiates the temple and the sacrificial system since "God has provided."  If one of the three is the Lord represented as a person, the other two are probably on their way to Sodom which had been condemned to destruction.  Eusebius says that the Son of God showed Himself to Abraham, and had given knowledge about the Father.   None of the events between Abraham and the realized Covenant by baptism (Gal 3) had anything to do with the godly people God quarantined from the animal slaughter.

Rublev.Lord.Added.gif

No Bible reader and God respector was/is permitted to make graven images:  the musical idolatry of the Egyptian etal trinity of father having lost his begetter, a mother (spirit dove) who had the begetting power and little Horus: these were represented by the golden calf or calves and it was a sin beyond redemption.

Jer 10:10 But the Lord (Jehovah) is the [1] true (Elohim) God, he is the
        [2] living God (Elohim) , and an
        [3] everlasting king (ascends the throne):
        at his
wrath the earth shall tremble,
                and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation
               [Israel had become a NATION]

Ex. 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,
Ex. 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt,
        out of the house of bondage.
Ex. 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Ex. 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,
        or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,
         or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Ex. 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them:
        for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God,
        visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

So one of the "though leaders" of a university decides that he will make many graven images. The reason this was so evil and beyond redemption is that:

Num. 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie;
        neither the son of man, that he should repent:
         hath he said, and shall he not do it?
        or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Job 25:6 How much less MAN, that is a worm?
        and the SON of man, which is a worm? [breeding maggots]

Hear, O Israel: The Lord (Jehovah) our God (Elohenu) is one Lord: Deut 6:4
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deut 6:5

Of all of the elohim, including Moses, Jehovah is the ONE true El.

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.  Deuteronomy 32:39

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him. Is.59:16

John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know
        thee the only true God,
        and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

As a radical departure from all recorded history, the historical fathers defining the triad nature of the ONE GOD and the Restoration Movement, the idea that God is "three centers of consciousness" able to hold meetings and make decisions is, for readers of John, the mark of antichrist.

So the iconographers would use the hospitality of Abraham as an indirect way of depicting God as the Trinity,

We will show below that the orthodox depicted the "spirit OF God" or His Breath as tongues of fire and wind. What the Rublev Fad of tattoos or MARKS depicts is called The Holy Family and the middle figure is Mary the Mother of gods and beasts.

with the three angelic visitors described as "the Lord" in the text representing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the icon the Son, in brown, is the central figure. The Spirit is on the right of the picture in green. The Father is on the left in red. All also wear blue to represent their divinity.

This is the Blessed Family: Mary as the Mother of God is in the CENTER.  No student would picture the spirit or BREATH of God as a person.  When the Bible readers pictured the breath as the messenger of Father to Son they use a dove or pigeon. The pigeon is defined as a carrier pigeon: this bird was the symbol of Semiramis as the Babylon Mother: she was the Mother of a Daughter but God demonstrated in a parable to hide from the clergy that Jesus was the SON of a FATHER.

First, the Babylon Mother has a Daughter as her messenger: she is pictured as a pigeon with mother on the throne.
Most of the Prophets and Apostles reveal the antithesis of ancient and modern paganism.
Second. Only after Jesus obeyed the command of Christ in the prophets did God acknowledge that He was the SON of a FATHER.

Richard Beck as thought leader of young people decides to take the mark, boldly on his body showing God as a man: In fact the word MAN carries an ugly connotation as the woman eve.  As the Holy Family the middle figure is actualy Mary the MOTHER of Gods and beasts.

Contrary to the Bible, most recorded history and the Restoration scholars the once-christian universities have decided that God was wrong and He really looks like a love-sick woman.

John Mark Hicks says that God is Three centers of consciousness: separated but ONE GOD in that "they" are friendly as in a COMMUNITY.  There is UNITY IN DIVERSITY. They do not know that elders were gifted by Christ to eject the cunning craftsmen or SOPHISTS.  Sophists are fueled by SOPHIA the Daughter of a mother replacing the Son of a father.  They are Scribes and Pharisees: speakers, singers or instrument players (Ezekiel 33).  Jesus said that God HIDES from the wise or sophists; especially those Paul called "corrupters of the Word" or Selling learning at retail.  Universities produce doctors of the Law but Jesus said that they take away the key to knowledge.  God IS sovereign: if you SELL it he makes certain that you must REPLACE the Word with your own words violating the CENI of Christ in Isaiah 55, 58.

Rublev used "fire" to represent the "spirit of fire and judgment" and others use the dove to represent the breath of God because wind or breath cannot be pictured.  They are also called "The Divine Family" where the middle figure is "Mary the mother of god."  They are all clearly pictured as female.

THE MARK OF ANTICHRIST.

Num. 23:18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear;
        hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
Num. 23:19 God is NOT a man, that he should LIE;
        neither [is God] the SON OF MAN he should repent:
        hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Hos. 11:9 I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim:
        for I am God, and not man; the Holy ONE in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

All of those permitted to "buy at sell" at universities and workshops and book stalls say that HEY: the LORD here is actually THREE MEN whom people CAN SEE.  Hicks says there is Unity in diversity.

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see;
        for a SPIRIT hath not FLESH and BONES, as ye see me have.

Luke 1:32 He shall be great, and
        shall be called the SON of the Highest: [Called by the NAME of Emmanuel]
        and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of HIS father David:
John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all;
        and no MAN is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
John 14:28  Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you.
         If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father:
        for my Father is greater than I

If God is Not a man then no MAN can be GOD even with a Phd.

GOD SAID THAT HE WAS NOT A MA
N

1Tim. 2:5 For there is ONE GOD,
        and one mediator between God and men, the MAN Christ Jesus;
1Tim. 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1Tim. 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle,
        (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

If Jesus WAS GOD then both God and Paul are called LIARS. A Christian is a disciple and a student teaches and listens to the WORD, the LOGOS the Regulative Principle.

GOD SAID THAT HE WAS NOT A SON OF MAN

Matt. 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him,
        The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests;
        but the
SON OF MAN hath not where to lay his head.

God said that He was not the SON OF MAN. Jesus said that He was THE SON OF man.
Therefore, He said I am NOT GOD
Those who say that Jesus the SON OF MAN is really GOD call both God and Jesus Liars.

Matt. 9:6 But that ye may know that the SON OF MAN hath power on earth to forgive sins,
        (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,)
        Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
Matt. 9:27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him,
        crying, and saying, Thou SON OF DAVID, have mercy on us

Saying that the Son of David was God is like saying that Mary was the MOTHER of God Who created herself.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Those who  hire a STAFF to worship Him IN THE FLESH deny the woman at the well who understood that the ROLE of Messiah was HE WILL TEACH US ALL THINGS.

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself:
        handle me, and see;
        for a SPIRIT hath not FLESH AND BONES
        as ye see me have.
Eph. 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

2John 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world,
        who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the FLESH.
        This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Jesus of Nazareth CAME IN THE FLESH: Contrary to Lucado-Shelly God did not deliver a veil of light into Mary.

Richard Beck mixes his psychology (perhaps the irrational branch) to pronounce certainty on doctrine.  He now has his arms covered with Rublev Tatoos.

All pagan "trinities" derive from the Babylonian Triple Goddess: as in Spiritual formation. The FAMILY always consisted of impotent father, spirit [self-germinating, daughter, dove]. The Christian antithesis is that God is imaged forth in the singular Jesus of Nazareth Who has all of the power of the allways-pagan triads. Both "father" and "son" are depicted as female.

Rublev.Holy.Family.gif Ditto John Mark Hicks: Andrei Rublev painted the “Holy Trinity” around 1411. He was beatified by the Russian Orthodox Church as “St. Andrei” solely for the extraordinary intensity and majesty of this icon. The image embodies the essence of Trinitarian dogmaThe icon portrays the visit of the angels to Abraham in Genesis 18 but excludes Abraham and Sarah from the picture in order to focus on the dogmatic meaning of the Trinity. The three sit around a table with a chalice as the centerpiece.

Each one is also dressed in blue to represent their equality—they are divine.
The unity and diversity of the triune life is thus pictured in vivid colors.

Gen. 18:1 And the Lord [Jehoval] appeared to him in the vale of Mambre as he was sitting at the door of his tent, in the very heat of the day.

But Latine

Gen. 18:2 And when he had lifted up his eyes, there appeared to him three MEN [
h582] standing near to him: and as soon as he saw them, he ran to meet them from the door of his tent, and adored down to the ground.

God does not send men wearing the noble dress of men or the effeminate. These were starving derelicts and not the wise or sophists from whom God hides.

He saw 3 MEN h582 [frail, feeble, desperately wicked, sick: Enosh: a mortal and not the more dignifie h120 , Latin vīrus , I.a slimy liquid, slime. A poisonous liquid, poison, venom, virus (syn. venenum). Futtĭlis  untrustworthy, vain, worthless, futile: used of Eve.

Abraham speaks only to the singular Lord Gen. 18:3 And said, My Lord [136.Adonay], if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant:

Jesus didn't send graduates of Jerusalem University but men defined totally the opposite of the artists depiction. Whatever the case Abraham treated them with respect. Some believe that two of these angels or messengers came to destroy Sodom. Lot treated them with hospitality but the the men of Sodom wanted to sodomize them.

Richard Beck: So I picked this icon to simply say "God is love." God is loving community and relationship. This is the theological bedrock of everything I believe about God. God is love. That belief is now written on me. (And written is the right word as icons are "written" rather than "painted." An icon is the Word being proclaimed.)

An Icon is an Idol: The Word being proclaimed is "Go preach the gospel." The Word is the Logos or regulative principle: it outlaws private opinions, rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting, dancing or making love in the Babylonian Tripple Goddess.

Richard Beck: The aspirational reason for this tattoo is related to the fact the hospitality of Abraham is the primal text in the bible that points to welcoming God in the stranger. The icon represents hospitality and welcome. In this the icon is aspirational. I look at the icon and am reminded to welcome the person in front of me as I would welcome Christ himself. Matthew 25. Welcoming the little one. As the Benedictines say, Hospes venit, Christus venit. "When a guest comes, Christ comes." I want to live my life that way. Rublev's icon reminds me of that. So I wanted to always have it with me. And thanks to Travis, now I do.

John gave us the NAME of the Holy Spirit Comforter and defined trinitarianism as despising Jesus:

1John 1:1  That which was from the beginning,
        which we have heard,
        which we have seen with our eyes,
        which we have looked upon,
        and our hands have handled, of the Word OF life;
1John 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness,
        and shew unto you that eternal life,
        which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you,
        that ye also may have fellowship with us:
        and truly our fellowship is with the Father,
        and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.
         And if any man sin, we have an advocate [paraklete] with the Father,
        Jesus Christ the righteous:
1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar,
        and the truth is not in him.
1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word,
        in him verily is the love of God perfected:
        hereby know we that we are in him.
1John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

MANY ARTISTS READ THE TEXT FOR CONTEXT AND THEN ILLUSTRATED THE TEXT.

Most pictures picture the Spiirit OF God as Fire or a Dove: pretty hard to depict spirit or BREATH.

Descent of the Holy Spiri
tDescent.Holy.Spirit.Icon.gif

Contemporary icon portraying Pentecost that includes the characteristic Orthodox depiction of the Third Person of the Trinity (the Holy Spirit) as a small flame on the head of each Apostle. The central female figure is the Virgin Mary, Bogoroditsa in Slavonic and Theotokos in Greek.

Of course, MARY was NOT in the upper Room: they were  all male.

Theotokos (/ˌθiəˈtɒkəs/; Greek: Θεοτόκος, transliterated (Greek) Theotókos, translation (Syriac-Aramaic): ܝܳܠܕܰܬ ܐܰܠܳܗܳܐ, transliterated (Syriac): Yoldath Alloho) is the Greek title of Mary, the mother of Jesus used especially in the Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, and Eastern Catholic Churches. Its literal English translations include "God-bearer", "Birth-Giver of God" and "the one who gives birth to God." Less literal translations include "Mother of God" (Latin: Mater Dei).

Last time I looked the DOVE and the SOUND in the AIR (defined as smell of incense) Jesus was being baptized  by John.  The DOVE or pigeon  was the SIGN of the Babylonian Mother of a Daughter. As most often antithesis God proved that His messenger was the SON of a FATHER.

THE FEMALE LEADERSHIP IN 'SPIRITUAL FORMATION, LECTIO-DIVINA ETAL' IN IGNATIAN MEDITATIONS HO
NOR MARY THE MOTHER OF GOD.
In the 16th century, Saint Ignatius of Loyola promulgated an ardent love to the Virgin Mary.[139] Ignatius admired images of the Virgin Mary and before his death instructed the Jesuits to preserve Madonna della Strada, which was later enshrined in the Church of the Gesu in Rome.[140] Filippo Neri, a contemporary of Ignatius, called Mary "mother and advocate" and is credited with the innovation of daily Marian devotions during the month of May.[141] Saint Peter Canisius is credited with adding the Hail Mary to his catechism of 1555.[142][143][144]

ANDROGYNY: THE PAGAN SEXUAL IDEAL 17 A leading history of religions “Christian” scholar, Huston Smith, believes that the present work of the Spirit is producing an “invisible geometry to shape the religions of the world into a single truth.” 18 In a similar vein, the late Joseph Campbell combined Jungian psychology and New Age spirituality in his The Hero with a Thousand Faces to express the notion that all human civilizations have the same monomyth with only minor differences in details.19

According to pagan esoterism, spiritual understanding through intuition and meditation is the only way to salvation. This comes through a nonrational, mystical experience of seeing oneself as the center of a circle that has no boundaries, where all distinctions are eliminated. As the great modern gnostic C. G. Jung said, “The self is a circle whose center is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere.” 20

From the center of one’s own limitless universe, the self is sovereign. The unitive experience, essential to this worldview, is engendered through drugs, time-honored (Hindu) meditation or otherwise induced trance. Meditation, rightly practiced, enables the mind-soul to be disconnected from the limitations of the body and to be in direct contact with cosmic spiritual unity. In the words of a leading neo-pagan mystic, “The ultimate metaphysical secret, if we dare to state it so simply, is that there are no boundaries in the universe. Boundaries are illusions, products not of reality but of the way we map and edit reality. And while it is fine to map out the territory, it is fatal to confuse the two [illusion and reality].”

Richard Beck: The theological reason is that for the Orthodox the Trinity is the theological articulation that God is a relational, communal being. Ontologically, God is loving community.

In the John Mark Hicks God as COMMUNITY fails to read the text. The communion of the Holy Spirit is Christ protecting His Word "communicating" to His Disciples.

John.Mark.Hicks.Our.Triune.God-The.Wonder.of.the.Story.html

John Mark Hicks LU: The starting point for understanding the Trinity is the economic Trinity—God’s self-revelation in the narrated history of redemption.

Jesus, the Son, prayed to the Father who poured out the Spirit upon him.
The Man Jesus of Nazareth prayed to HIS Father in heaven Who commissioned Him as the SPERM of Abraham. God BREATHED on the Son who spoke WORDS and became--when He first spoke--the Son or Word of God.
This economic revelation is an authentic revelation of the God’s own identity (immanent Trinity, e.g., God’s own transcendent life before the creation). In the history of redemption, the one God is revealed as, in some sense, three.

The God of Israel is one God. There is no other. Israel confessed this monotheistic faith through the Shema: “Hear, O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is one” (Deuteronomy 4:6).

Paul unpacked the Shema where the Father is the one God and the Son is the one Lord (1 Corinthians 8:6). Christians reinterpreted the Shema as the affirmation of God’s community as well as unity.
JESUS LEFT MONOTHEISM PACKED SO HE CANNOT BE UNZIPPERED:

Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master,
        Thou hast said the truth: for there is one God;
        and there is none other but he:
Mark 12:33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding,
        and with all the soul, and with all the strength,
        and to love his neighbour as himself,
        is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Mark 12:34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly,
        he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God.
        And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Romans 3:30 Seeing it is one God,
         which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

1Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him;
        and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God,
        and one mediator between God and men,
        the man Christ Jesus;
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God;
        thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Richard Beck:  The Spirit appears as the medium of the communion of Jesus with the Father and the means by which believers participate in Christ. This is clear in terms of the resurrection and the indwelling of the Spirit in Rom. 8:11-15.

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually,
        that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not:
        for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

The assembly in the entire Old Testament met to communicate the Word of God:  both vocal and instrumental rejoicing was excluded for the synagogue so any kind of praise was speaking that which was written for their learning at that time and place.  Communicate includes meeting any physical need of the ekklesia but more importantly it communicated the literature ordained by Christ for that purpose.

God didn't goof and change His Mind for the godly people to gather at the synagogue quarantined from the sacrificial altar. Since God changes not in this sense, Jesus approved of the synagogue (not the show offs) and commanded the church defined as ekklesia or synagogue.  The Lord's Supper reminded the assembly of the Death of Jesus as the Passover was observed at the gatherings under the Law. Therefore, there are only TWO ACTS OF WORSHIP.
