None of the historic scholars ever thought of the Spirit OF God being another god person which Mary Elllen Pereira and others make the ENABLER of helpless Jesus: this is consistent with the feminist-gnostic theology who declared that Zoe or Eve had to instruct the little logos and jehovah to make them able to function at all.  Jeanene Reese with a NEW PARADIGM makes Eve the superior of Adam so that his cleaving to her is equaled to everyone cleaving as inferiors to God. On the contrary, any reader of the Latin will understand that Eve was the Virus or Venum which God extracted from Adam so that he would not be hindered in bearing his own Children.  Eve, in fact, said that she got Cain (a musical note or mark) from god when Paul said she was wholly seduced as a young bride is seduced and so Cain was OF that wicked one.

Problem One: failure to understand prepositions: spirit is almost always the spirit OF a person or mental disposition..
Problem Two: perhaps as a mark SPIRITUS personified points to Abaddon or Apollon leader of the muses.
Problem Three: Spirit literally means only WIND.
Problem Four: utter inability to read the context. That means lacking A holy spiririt.

Polytheism or the Trinity was a female dominated theology of the ancient near east which God corrected by separating Eve (Virus, Venus or Venum) from the ADAM people.

Music is the ancient role of women used by religionists to seduce men to fleece them.

Revelation 17f prophesies of the END TIME unleasing of this ancient paganism with the locusts or MUSES sent to separate people our who do not have the mark of the beast: beast is Therion meaning "a new style of music or satyric drama" at a church near you with arm flailing self preachers Jesus called hypocrites.
SPIRIT in Hebrew. Holy just means WHOLLY with no flesh, bones, or blood.
SPIRIT in Greek.  Spirit can never define a PERSON but only the Mental Disposition or MIND OF That person

The Spirit OF Christ BREATHED or INSpirited the Prophets

The Prophets radically repudiated the Civil-Military-Clergy complex as robbers and Parasites (PARASITE defines religious instrument noise makers such as Miriam and the Levites. And those who do NOT speak that which HAS been taught.

Christ in the prophets warned about the mercinary prophets who stole words from workshops and told lies.
God made Jesus TO BE both Lord and Christ so that He said My WORDS are SPIRIT. He made the prophecies more certain and the inspired writers left us a memory or THEIR PART.

Peter said this eye-- and ear-- witnessed record is NOT subject to private interpretation or further expounding.

Peter said that the MARK of a false teacher is one who does not speak that which is written for our LEARNING.
The Restoration Movement of the Disciples-Christian Churches when women became instrumental in missionary societies intending to save all of the Jews to make it POSSIBLE for Jesus to return as William Miller prophesied for 1844.  Music plagued the Disciples of Christ when Organ peddlers made a clergy role possible for women.

Preview of the World History of the Stone-Campbell Movement a falsehood.

"From the North, where the Society system was deeply imbedded in the churches, people moved into Nashville and many filled the Woodland Street church. By the end of 1882, a woman from Kentucky asked Sewell about forming an auxiliary society to the Christian Woman's Board of Missions. Sewel objected, and gave his reasons.

But as always, when a group in a congregation wants something, and the preacher stands in their way, there is only one thing to do: dismiss the preacher. Sewell was ousted and at the beginning of 1883, W. J. Loos, son of C. L. Loos, president of the Foreign Society, was hired. In the fall of that year young Loos attended the annual convention at Cincinatti, telling them with some embarassment that he was ashamed to admit he was from Tennessee for the churches of his state were doing nothing."
When he returned, Sewell refuted the false charges about Tennessee churches. Loos was check-mated and was replaced later by R. M. Giddens who "fanned the flames of Societyism."

"The women were soon busily at work to form an auxiliary society. Sewell's pleas to Giddens went unheeded. During the following summer,

the women wrote letters to the churches of the state
asking funds be
sent to them
so
they could hire a State Evangelist. Before long, plans were laid
to secure the services of A. I. Myhr.

"Lipscomb had agreed to publish information in the Advocate after being assured that evangelism was the goal. However, Giddens failed to get the work under the Woodland Street elders. J. C. McQuiddy who had helped raise the money and Sewell who was an elder were not consulted about Myhr.

Myhr made his goals clear about promoting the Society and Instrumental music
even though it would divide the churches. Myhr's goal, Lipscome believed, was to
"ostracize, boycott, and starve every preacher that does not APPROVE the society."
Jo Bass began an early apostasy about the Direct Operation of A holy spirit person. She has been followed by Jeanene Reese, Rhonda Lowry and others going over the edge with Spiritual Formation and Lectio-Divina as a way for women or effeminate monkish males to get messages directly from God.  The Divina speaks of the Thessalian Hag or Witch who led the women into Moon Worship.

Mrs. C. C. Babcock  Women in the Pulpit" Christian Standard June 4, 1892
It is a question in my mind if Bro. Briney could have chosen any subject that would have arrested thought, set brains and pens in rapid motion, and so aroused American womanhood, as his interpretation of Paul on the woman question.
Anyone with a copy of the SCRIPTURES especially the Prophets and Apostles HAS 168 hours a week to obey the command to GO and preach or dialog the Word. However, as Mrs. Babcock understood from a denominational background a gathered assembly called SYNAGOGUE by Paul has no professional positions to be grasped: Jesus removed the ROLES and DOLE for anyone as a mediator or authority for teaching.  Mrs. Babcock clearly did not mean to go door to door and speak the BIBLICAL text.

The Christian Church or the NACC would not exist for another 35 years.  The Standard too both sides of the issue but Briney's views of instrumental music switched. However, his views were opposed to any congregation and the boast was that "we will take Tennessee for the organ and society party within ten years..

A Female preacher in the Christian Churches means "pastor" or senior elder while Jesus in defining hte gifts failed to mention "preeacher." The elders were pastor-techers and their authority was exercised when the local members of the ekklesia gathered as SYNAGOGUE where the Winderness Forward singular pattern was to PREACH the WORD by READING the Word. Jesus sais that doctors of the law take away the key to knowledge and it is no surprise the the female role as oracles or soothsayers or sorcerers has little interest in understanding the TEXT which the elders were commanded to teach that which has been taught.

The Christian School of the Word is defined as the SECT called the WAY the way is the PATH or PATTERN while the feminists have invented a NEW PARADIGM which dismisses PAULINE as a dirty word.  This has given rise to the unholy claim to Spiritual Formation and Lectio-divina where the ladies and the "monkish" meditate and honor Mary the mother of gods and men. This is the ancient EVE woman which Scripture defines as a theology or Virus, Zoe, Virus, Venum all facilitated by rhetoric, singing and playing instruments.  In Revelation 17 the same Babylon Mother arises pushing rhetoric, singing, playing instruments and virtual sexuality as "worship." John calls them sorcerers and says they WILL BE CAST ALIVE INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.

Feminist theology and missional church: An exploration into the doctrine of the Trinity and its understanding in four denominational systems by Stache, Kristine M., Ph.D., LUTHER SEMINARY, 2008, 196 pages; 3360826

This dissertation is an exploration into the history, theology, and day-to-day thoughts around missional church from leaders and lay persons of four different denominational systems. Interview data was collected from 350 individuals in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church USA's Synod of the Trinity, Mennonite Church USA, and a fellowship of Churches of Christ connected with Abilene Christian University. This data was coded, analyzing common themes and areas of disconnect. How these interviewees understood themselves, their congregation, and their relationship to God in light of the missional church conversation guided the process of discovery.

In addition, a new way of understanding the Triune God as a social reality and in relationship with humanity is introduced through the hermeneutic of feminist theology. Specifically, how can the experience of women help one better understand the kingdom of God present today and coming at us from the future? What does it mean to become part of God's new creation by participating in the life of God? Implications for understanding God in light of this hermeneutic are presented for furthering the missional church conversation.

GODESS THEOLOGY: Spiritual Formation, Lectio-Divina

FROM ACU AGENDA:   Carroll D. Osburn: Trainers use Prophetic roles to Channel and Facilitate the method of subverting the 'hierarchial" views of Jesus and Paul. the end-time subversion is the beginninng-time version which is "Feminist hermeneutics stands over against patriarchal hermeneutics" its goal achieved "by small, often unnoticed acts of SUBVERSION. Numerous such incremental changes, like EROSION, will eventually bring down the FORTRESS " (IN THE CHURCH: Reclaiming the Ideal p. 32).

"Philodemos considered it paradoxical that music should be regarded as veneration of the gods while musicians were paid for performing this so-called veneration. Again, Philodemus held as self-deceptive the view that music mediated religious ecstasy. He saw the entire condition induced by the noise of cymbals and tambourines as a disturbance of the spirit  He found it significant that, on the whole, only women and effeminate men fell into this folly."

"According to Philo, the gods of the pagans exploit this weakness of men. For the sake of a better effect, and with the intention of more easily cheating their devotes, that they have set their lies to melodies, rhythms and meters.." (Father Johannes Quasten, p. 52)

When Women suddenly began to TEACH OVER and exercise authority as AUTHENTIA which is erotic and murderous at universities. Christ in Isaiah 3 prophesies the addition of BOYS who are forced to guard their career path by agreeing with the women who suddenly came into their prophesied temple.

The Gift OF A holy spirit is the gift of A good conscience after were are SAVED AT BAPTISM.  OUR old spirit is made into A holy spirit after sins have been washed away.  Spirit is WIND (hot air) ONLY: it is used figuratively of BREATH.  To be BREATHED ON is to be INSPIRED and Jesus followed up with teaching what they needed to REMEMBER.  SPIRITUS personified applied to Abaddon-Apollon which is marked by the rise of the MUSES or his musical worship team up the road from Corinth.

John says that
There is ONE GOD THE FATHER
And one LORD the SON
GOD (Theos) made the MAN Jesus of Nazareth both LORD AND CHRIST.
If you deny the ONE GOD the Father and ONE Son John says that you are ANTICHRIST.

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow:  Certainly Jesus intended the gift of the Holy Spirit to be such a gift for believers. Yet, we often regard the Holy Spirit with the same skepticism we might give to a package offered by one whose motives we have learned to question. Although we have no doubt about Christ's deep, self-sacrificing love for us, we still approach his gift with hesitation. A closer look at the Holy Spirit through the eyes of the apostle John, however, can help us realize several details about this precious gift.

The Gift of A holy spirit or A good conscience or co perceptions marked by being able to READ BLACK text on BROWN paper ( 2 Corinthians 3) is the KEY to knowledge.  Why would a tiny mortal want a God Person to live inside of their bodies and apparently teach them beyond the sacred pages. Listen to any "doctor of the law" and you will understand that it it is impossible to read the text in context.  If one makes a profession of CONTRADICTING the LOGOS this is the mark of the EVE STORY which they women worshipped as Meditrux.  Eve is Evah which means "an abomination" so one had better grasp that God is creating a nation and not the universe: he excises EVE (Virus, Venum) from ADAM which is the removal of the very first Babylon Mother of Harlots worshipped by the Jewish women as the Queen of Heaven.

There is only One God the Father

1Timothy 2:5 For there is ONE God,
and one mediator between God and men,
        the man Christ Jesus;

How is it possible to call Timothy a liar unless in the words of Jeanene Reese and most feminists and effeminite the need to REMOVE what they slander as PAULINE CHURCHES?

Repudiates: the father is god, Jesus is God, the holy breath is god.

An imagined holy spirit person (Apollon leader of the female musicians) is NOT another Comforter. If the One God the Father cannot BREATHE (spirit) and have the Son ARTICULATE words then the neo-trinitarians blaspheme by saying that ALL AUTHORITY was NOT given to Jesus.  Father-son-spirit is the ALWAYS-PAGAN family of gods including father (impotent)-spirit (mother, dove, seed planter) and infant and impotent son.  As ANTI-thesis God gave only one male being as the image the pagans wanted to see as a trinity.

The spirit is the "breath" (to fool the clergy Mat 13) which passes between the ONE GOD as Source and ONE SON as the personified WORD Who articulates invisible breath into audible words.

You will notice that KNOWLEDGE passes between the ONE GOD in heaven and Jesus of Nazareth whom God has made to be both Lord and Christ.

Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man,
no, not the angels which are in heaven,
        neither the Son,
        but the Father.

Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father:
        and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father;
and who the Father is, but the Son,
and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me,
even so know I the Father:
and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants;
for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth:
        but I have called you friends;
for all things that I have heard of my Father
I have made known unto you.

2Corinthians 11:31 The God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

1John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,
that we should be called the sons of God:
therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

JESUS IN HIS POST-GLORIFIED WAS PROMISED AND WAS CALLED THE HOLY SPIRIT.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name, [His Name will be Jesus Christ]
he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you. [Christ in Spirit form]
Saving Grace would for Jesus to say "I will teach you all things I have never taught you."
John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away,
and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice,
because I said, I go unto the Father:
for my Father is greater than I.
John 14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass,
that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you:
for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
John 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father;
and as the Father gave me commandment,
even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
Jesus of Nazareth was not a god person nor was the BREATH of God or of Christ another person. WE have to think, breath and articulate words: why disparage God by claiming that He REQUIRES another person to speak to His SON. How awful.  Jesus was not even Christ or Messiah nor LORD until God made him to be.  He returned in this evangelistic role at Pentecost as Wind (spirit) anf FIRE.
Acts 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted,

and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost,
HE hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
Acts 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens:
        but he saith himself,
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Acts 2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly,
        that God
hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified,
        both Lord and Christ.

JESUS GIVES Us THE SAME SPIRIT THAT WAS WITH HIM ON EARTH

I speak the
truth in Christ--I am not lying,

ALEXANDER CAMPBELL AND WALTER SCOTT UNDERSTOOD THE CLEAR TEXT.

The dove rested UPON Jesus and did not fly inside of.

Alexander Campbell and others understand that A holy spirit is OUR unholy spirit which has been cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ and not His "spirit."

This is...understood by every attentive reader. The original phrase is hagiasmos pneumatos, and is found only in II. Thess. ii. 13; I. Pet. i. 2. In both places it appears to refer to the sanctification of the spirit of believers.   It is literally rendered "sanctification [or holiness] of spirit." There is no article in the original and no epithet that suggests the Holy Spirit in either passage.

God has chosen men to salvation through (or by) holiness of spirit;

not through the holiness of HIS Spirit,
but through the holiness of their spirit.

When Jesus prayed (John xvii.) for the sanctification or holiness of his disciples,
          it was through the truth: "Sanctify them through the truth;
          thy word is truth."

The belief of the truth is, therefore, by Paul associated with this holiness or sanctification of spirit.

The Spirit of God is frequently denominated in these days, "the Sanctifier." Let it be granted that it is the Spirit that sanctifies or sets apart men to God, still it must be argued from the Record
that he sanctifies them only through the truth or gospel believed.
A sanctified unbeliever is inconceivable;
        and, as "without holiness [or sanctification of spirit] no man can see the Lord;
so, without faith, there can be no holiness, and no action acceptable to God.

All persons sanctified to God to any high office or function, were anointed, and thus consecrated to his special service. So all Christians, being priests,

are anointed or sanctified by the Holy Spirit
[135] through the obedience of the truth,
and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus,
cleansing their consciences from dead works to serve the living God.
A Good Conscience or consciousness as a REQUEST only when BAPTISM SAVES US is A holy spirit (ours) cleared of sin and made a Co-percepter or as in 2 Corinthians 3 able to read BLACK text on BROWN paper: then he says we will know that THE LORD IS THAT SPIRIT.

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow: The Holy Spirit was intimately involved with Jesus during his earthly ministry. At the time of Jesus' baptism by John, the Holy Spirit descended from heaven and rested on him. The gospel writer makes it clear that it was this particular SIGN that identified Jesus as the Son of God, come to take away the sin of the world (1 :29, 34)

JESUS SPOKE AND ACTED PARABLES HIDE THE TRUTH FROM THE CLERGY WHO HAVE NO RIGHT TO KNOW

Jesus is the SON of a FATHER and not the DAUGHTGER of a BABYLONIAN MOTHER:

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow: But the role of the Holy Spirit extended far beyond that of simply identifying Jesus as the expected Messiah; the Spirit also remained with him (1 :32).

The symbol of the DOVE rested on Jesus probably visible only to John: the Carrier Pigeon did not REMAIN on top of Jesus' head or somone would have talked.

The Wife of Jesus? Ready to Drink?

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow: This becomes especially significant as we note that it was the Spirit that empowered the message of Jesus (3:32-34). Just as God sent Jesus to proclaim the message of salvation, God also sent the fullness of the Spirit to empower the proclamation of Jesus, even in the midst of people who would reject his message

The SEAL that the WORD breathed by the BREATH was not a little bird resting on your head: when God BREATHS you SPEAK and nothing more.

John 3:33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the WORDS of God:
for God giveth not the Spirit [breath] by measure [meter] unto him.

The context shows that this was a SIGN promised only to John:

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith,
Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
John 1:30 This is he of whom I said,
After me cometh a man which is preferred before me:
        for he was before me.
John 1:31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel,

John 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I

The Jewish women worshipped the Queen of Heaven or the Mother goddess.  She was worshipped under the image of the golden calf by women playing wind, string and percussion instruments. Osiris had been killed and his body parts scattered. Isis was able to collect everything but his member. Isis not needing the old father god just made a wooden penis and became a virgin. This was the THESIS of the Jewish Women who dared their husbands to stop them. In time the men joined in.  The NEW PARADIGM (re Reese) is the ANTITHESIS so that the Babylonian-Egyptian etal spirit-mother-dove-power is repudiated. Jesus is the SON of a FATHER and the sound above was not of ISIS.

John 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water,
        the same said unto me,
Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending,
        and remaining on him,
the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

Only the Apostles were BAPTIZED or immersed in the Upper Room when Jesus returned as promised and "poured out what you see and hear."  The spirit was the BREATH of God bringing knowledge to the godly and a BURNING UP of the chaff who were not candidates for "washing with water into the WORD" or into the School of Christ.

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow: Prophets foretold that an abundant measure of the Spirit would be evident in the Messiah when he came. They noted that both the mission and message of God's anointed one would be marked by God's Spirit (e.g., Isa 42:1,61:1).

Other Gospel writers record that Jesus himself acknowledged that his commission to ministry was not by means of any human application of oil, but by direct anointing with the Spirit OF the Lord (Matt 12:18; Luke 4:18-21).

1John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time:
and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come,
even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
1John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they
might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

God anoints with His WORD: once you have learned it the warning is that you should never listen to women bearing A NEW PARADIGM.

1John 2:20  But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
1John 2:21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth,
but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
1John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ?
He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:
(but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
1John 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning.
If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you,
ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

It was this Spirit that undergirded Christ's work of justice and mercy

The Spirit OF God is the BREATH of God WHICH teaches the WORD of God.  There is nothing that a believer can do other than let that WORD or LOGOS undergird our work because the command is to TEACH THAT WHICH HAS BEEN TAUGHT.  This is a rational or left-brained activity and women will want to EMBELLIS the Word to ASSIST what has been written.

This is CONTRARY to the message of the Spirit OF Christ in the prophets.

Isa 42:1 BEHOLD my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth;
I have put my spirit UPON HIM: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

b. In gen., to get, beget, or bear children:filia, quam ex te suscepi,

From the Commentary on the Whole Bible (Jamieson, Fausset and Brown, 1871).
"Messiah, as "the servant of Jehovah" (Isa 42:1), declares that the office has been assigned to Him of encouraging the "weary" exiles of Israel by "words in season" suited to their case; and that, whatever suffering it is to cost Himself, He does not shrink from it (Isa 50:5, 6), for that He knows His cause will triumph at last (Isa 50:7, 8).

If you say that Jesus was too feeble without another GOD person to assist them then you are an ANTICHRIST.

        and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Now, look at the fulfilment--but not so fast. First, look at:

Luke 3:21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass,
that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,
Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him,
and a voice came from heaven, which said,
Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

The Spirit OF God is not another God person: Paul will say in 1 Corinthians 2 that

The Holy Spirit
        Is to God
What our spirit
        is to us.
Then says, "but WE have the MIND of Christ.

JESUS SAID MY WORDS ARE SPIRIT AND LIFE

Philippians 2 proves that the MIND was that of Christ who diminished Himself to become a mortal man--a "body prepared for me." When Jesus came back from "fully preaching baptism" by fulfilling all righteousness, he was also FILLED with the Words of the Father.

In a lesser sense we are baptized we receive A holy spirit or A good conscience which to us means that we can read black text on white paper. This is confirmed by Paul in 2 Corinthians 3.

John 3:33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent
.......... speaketh the words of God:
.......... for God giveth not the Spirit
.......... by measure unto him.

This is a parallelism: Speaking the Words of God is the meaning of Spirit without measure. Jesus said My WORDS are SPIRIT and they are LIFE.  Jesus as the "son" never spoke on His own but what he heard from the "Father within." Father, Son and Spirit are not names.

Is.59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord;
.......... My spirit that is upon thee,
.......... and my WORDS which I have put in thy mouth,

shall not depart out of thy mouth,
nor out of the
mouth of thy seed,
nor out of the mouth of thy
seeds seed,
saith the Lord,
from henceforth and for ever.

Pr 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

Pr.1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold,
.......... I will pour out my spirit unto you,
.......... I will make known my WORDS unto you

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow: The very Spirit that participated in the ministry of Jesus is the same Holy Spirit that participates in the lives of Christians today.

She means that YOU have the ability to HEAR the Word of God just like Jesus as the SON of God.  It is strange that "doctors of the law" do not have the ability to read the text. Jesus is the COMFORTER in the Spirit dimension: He is still king over His kingdom and only teacher.  Even quoting 1 John 2 does not reveal that the ONLY comforter-intercessor is the MAN Jesus Khrist.

1John 2:1 ---
And if any man sin, we have an advocate
[parakletos] with the Father,
        Jesus Christ the righteous:

But, He only speaks through Prophets and Apostles: the Apostles recorded the eye- and ear-- witness of Jesus fulfilling the prophecies about the future REST both inclusively and exclusively.

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow: Rather than reacting with unwarranted skepticism concerning the character of the Spirit, we can realize that the Holy Spirit was a welcome presence involved in the earthly life and ministry of Jesus. Here is one who intimately knew the work and passion of our Lord

THE SPIRIT Is SENT FROM GOD AT JESUS' REQUEST

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow:  Believers cherish the reminder in John 3:16 that God loved us so deeply that he sent his Son, Jesus, to us. We don't avoid this divine gift, wondering whether we really want to receive its fullness.

Instead, we accept Jesus as our Redeemer and Lord, a beloved gift for God's beloved. We are often more wary, however, about the Holy Spirit, a gift that was provided for us at the special request of Jesus himself In the last hours before Jesus' crucifixion, he tried to prepare the disciples for the impending difficulties

Jesus requested and God gave Him the PROMISE of the Holy Spirit: that means that the same Jesus of Nazareth in spirit form was sent back at Pentecost and poured out what you see and hear. SPIRIT is only personified in the text as Abaddon or Apollyon who is the leader of the LOCUSTS which for readers of the literature are the MUSES.

Mary Ellen Pereira Follow: Concerned about their coming grief at his departure, Jesus spoke words of encouragement, telling of the special arrangements he was going to make on their behalf. After promising that he would prepare a place in his Father's home where they could be together again, he spoke of another, more immediate gift that he would provide for the believers

Jesus disclosed that he would ask the Father to give them another Advocate in his place (14:16; cf. 1 John 2: 1). The united efforts of both the Father and the Son in providing this new Advocate are apparent  At Jesus' request, the Holy Spirit would be sent as a gift from the Father in the name of the Son (14:16,26)

Of the another Comforter or in ANOTHER FORM, Jesus said I WILL COME to You.  He returned at Pentecost as promised and poured out what you see and hear (breath) ONLY to the Apostles.  The same John said that the NAME of this new spiritual Comforter is named Jesus Christ the Righteous.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them,  he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
There is ONE GOD THE FATHER: the Son is not a god people.
1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar,
and the truth is not in him.
John 14:26 But the Comforter [parakletos], which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,  whatsoever I have said unto you.
1John 2:1 ---
And if any man sin, we have an advocate
[parakletos] with the Father,
        Jesus Christ the righteous:
The SEAL of the Holy Spirit is A holy spirit given after obedience in baptism.
1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his WORD, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him,
If a man love [1] me, he will keep my words:
and my [2] Father will love him,
and WE will come unto him,
and make OUR abode with him.
Jesus includes ONLY Father and Son.

If you deny the One God the Father and One Lord the MAN Jesus John says that you are ANTICHRIST.

Unless you walked and were taught by Jesus about 2,000 years ago He is not going to REMIND you of anything.

Jesus didn't send another PEOPLE to bring comfort and Peace: Jesus left PEACE when He denounced the people who make worship wars.

John 14:27 PEACE I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:
not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you.
If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

There is no spirit person which ENABLES the Almighty to speak to His Prophets.

John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings:
and the WORD which ye hear is not mine,
but the [1] Father’s which sent [2] ME.
The Father BREATHED on Jesus whom articulated Words. God ordained Jesus to be the Incarnate Word and God SENT the SAYINGS WHICH God sent him
John 14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

Being Yet With you
John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

[parakletos] with the Father,
        Jesus Christ the righteous:
John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
John 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Further, as we love Jesus and keep his WORD, the Father loves us (14:23). And, most incredibly, through the presence of the Spirit both the Father and the Son come and make their home with the believer (14:23)

That's not what the text says: The Father is competent: He BREATHES (spirit) His Word into Jesus His Son who ARTICULATES what to us is inaudible. If YOU hear voices know that you are NOT the Messiah.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him,
If a man love [1] me, he will keep my words:
and my [2] Father will love him,
and WE will come unto him,
and make OUR abode WITH him.

The DOVE which rested on Jesus was to prove that God's LOGOS is a Son of a Father and not the Daughter of a Mother.

The One God the Father BREATHES (spirit) and the Son articulates that breath. Because God is the LOGOS or regulative principle

logos , ho, verbal noun of legō Opposite ODE.  A holy spirit will understand that SPEAK does not mean SING in the outward form

THE SPIRIT GIVES Us LIFE FROM ABOVE

We know that Jesus was confirmed as the Son of God at his baptism when the Holy Spirit descended from heaven and remained on him. But we have a tendency to ignore a second identification pronounced by John the Baptist at the same time. John's testimony regarding Jesus as Son of God was predicated by the Spirit's confirmation of Jesus as "the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit" (1 :33).

Acts 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs,
being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem,
but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

The only "overwhelming" or "immersing" happened in the upper room when Jesus poured out WIND or Breath which gave them the power to SPEAK.  If you have the SPIRIT covering you then YOU must speak some revelation. I think the women call that A New Paradigm.

Of the FIRE Notice the two GROUPS which is always the meaning of PREDESTINATED purpose.

Reserved does not mean predestiated but:

The "breath" of God in His Word separates the "viper" race which was not "just" and therefore not capable of being baptized in Water.  The masses of people at Pentecost were probably Edomites and always antagonistic to Christ Who warned them through the prophets whom they murdered. The  wind separates the chaff from the grain and is constructive.

Google Book, THE GOD WHO COMES: The winnowing-fan ("liknon") featured in the rites accorded Dionysus and in the Eleusinian Mysteries: "it was a simple agricultural implement taken over and mysticised by the religion of Dionysus," Jane Ellen Harrison remarked. [Harrison, "Prolegomean to the Study of Greek Religion", 3rd ed. (1922:159).] "Dionysus Liknites" ("Dionysus of the winnowing fan") was wakened by the Dionysian women, in this instance called "Thyiades", in a cave on Parnassus high above Delphi; the winnowing-fan links the god connected with the mystery religions to the agricultural cycle, but mortal Greek babies too were laid in a winnowing-fan. [Karl Kerenyi, "Dionysus: Archetypal Image of Indestructible Life" (1976:44).] . In Callimachus' "Hymn to Zeus", Adrasteia lays the infant Zeus in a golden "liknon"; [The translation "cradle" loses the image.] her goat suckles him and he is given honey.

I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

THE THRESHING SPIRIT IN JEREMIAH:

Jeremiah 4:11 At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem,

A dry wind [spirit] ruwach h7307] of the high places in the wilderness
toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse,

Jeremiah 4:12 Even a full wind [spirit] from those places shall come unto me:
now also will I give sentence against them.

    Jeremiah 4:13 Behold,
he shall come up as clouds
and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind
his horses are swifter than eagles.
Woe unto us for we are spoiled

Jeremiah 4:14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness,
             that thou mayest be saved.
How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?

The necessity of this baptism is seen more clearly in Jesus' discussion with Nicodemus. Jesus emphatically stated that no one would see or enter the kingdom of God without being born again-that is, born "from above" (3:3,7).

FIRST STATEMENT OF A CLEAR CONVERSATION:

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot SEE the kingdom of God.

The kingdom is invisible and out spirits are translated or we are added to the universal ekklesia only after we are baptized INTO WATER

FIRST LOGICAL QUESTION OF A CLEAR CONVERSATION:

John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him,
        1. How can a man be born when he is old?
        2. can he ENTER the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born

Nicodemus is not confused: he understands born AGAIN to be born a SECOND time.  It seems that he was logically a literate man.

g1208 Deuteros as a second time (in time, place or rank), afterward, again, second.

Mark 14:72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

Latin Itero to do a second time I. to do a thing a second time, to repeat to be restored to life by way of death

BORN ANOTHEN IS BORN DEUTEROS

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man BE born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,
        Ye must be born again.

The parallelism of Jesus' comments further clarify that the birth from above requires being born of the Spirit (3:5,6,8). In the gospel of John, this baptism with the Holy Spirit does not point to charismatic gifts but results in the regeneration of the believer's spirit with life from above. Being born of the Spirit allows the believer to see and enter the kingdom of God

JESUS WAS THE FIRST BORN AND ONLY BELOVED: Women need the trinitarian folly to justify Mary or Eve as the mother of gods.

Henry Alford: "There can be no doubt, on any honest interpretation of the words, that 'born of water' refers to the token or outward sign of baptism 'born of spirit' to the thing signified, or inward grace of the Holy Spirit. All attempts to get rid of these two plain facts have sprung from doctrinal prejudices, by which the views of expositors have been warped. Such we have in Calvin." (Alford's Greek Testament, Vol. 1, p. 714).

W. Robertson Nicoll: "To remove as far as possible the difficulty of Nicodemas as to the how (how, dp) of the new birth our Lord declares that the two great factors in it are 'water' and 'spirit.'" (Expositors Greek Testament, Vol. I, p. 713).

Marvin R. Vincent: "The exposition of this much controverted passage does not fall within the scope of this work. We may observe, 1. That Jesus here lays down the preliminary conditions of entrance into His kingdom, expanding and explaining His statement in ver. 3. 2. That this condition is here stated as complete, including two distinct factors, water and the Spirit. 3. That the former of these two factors is not to be merged in the latter; that the spiritual element is not to exclude or obliterate the external and ritual element. We are not to understand with Calvin, the Holy Spirit as the purifying water in the spiritual sense: 'water which is the Spirit.' 4. That water points definitely to the rite of baptism, and with a twofold reference to the past and to the future." (Word Studies In The New Testament, Vol. 2, p. 91).

B. F. Westcott: "It can, then, scarcely be questioned that as Nicodemus heard the words, water carried with it a reference to John's baptism, which was a divinely appointed rite (i.33), gathering up into itself and investing with a new importance all the lustral baptisms of the Jews." (The Gospel According To John, p. 50).

A. T. Robertson: "We are puzzled by the placing of 'water' here before 'Spirit' as a necessity to entering the Kingdom of God. But Nicodemas was troubled about 'Spirit.' He was thinking only of the physical birth. On the whole it is probable that by 'water' Jesus refers to baptism. John the Baptist preached repentance and practiced the baptism of those who confessed their sins." (Minor Characters In The New Testament, p. 6).

H. A. W. Meyer: "water, inasmuch as the man is baptized therewith (1 John v. 7, 8; Eph. v. 26) for the forgiveness of sins (Acts ii. 33, xxii.16; 2 Cor. vi. 11), and spirit, inasmuch as the Holy Ghost is given to the person baptized in order to his spiritual renewal and sanctification" (Critical And Exegetical Hand-Book To The Gospel Of John, p. 123).

Although the descent of the Spirit on Jesus at his baptism permitted John the Baptist to identify Jesus as the promised Son of God, the primary function of this sign was to confirm that Jesus was indeed the one who would baptize with the Spirit. In contrast with John's baptism of repentance, Jesus offers a baptism of regeneration by the Spirit. This birth through the agency of the Spirit is the power that enables us to become children of God (1:12-13)

THE SPIRIT CONFRONTS THE WORLD ABOUT JESUS

The Holy Spirit continues to mediate the presence of Christ in the world even today. In his farewell discourse, Jesus explained that the Spirit would be given to the believers as an Advocate (14: 16). The world, however, would experience the Spirit much differently, for it would reject the Spirit, just as it rejected the Son of God (14:17; cf. 3:32-34, 5:43, 6:66, 8:59, 11:53, 12:37)

1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin,
we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word,
in him verily is the love of God perfected:
hereby know we that we are in him.

1John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life,
        is not of the Father,
        but is of the world.

3 The language of the imagery confounds the torture of slaves giving evidence on the rack with the strings and pegs of a musical instrument. For the latter cf. Horace, A.P. 348, “nam neque chorda sonum reddit quem vult manus et mens Poscentique gravem persaepe remittit acutum.” Stallbaum says that Plato here was imitated by Aristaenetus, Epist. xiv. libr. 1ti pragmata parekhete khordais;

The world's dual rejection of both the Son and the Spirit is understandable. Jesus testified that he did nothing and said nothing on his own but only that which was given to him by the Father (5:30, 14:10). Even his death was a fulfillment of the Father's will (5:30, 17:1-5, 18:11, 19:29-30)

The Holy Spirit, who had accompanied Jesus throughout his time on earth, was sent with the same commission. After Jesus' departure, the Spirit would take the things of Jesus and declare them to the world (16:14-15). Sent from the Father at the request of Jesus, the Spirit would testify about Jesus (15:26). A consistent message was assured because neither Jesus nor the Spirit spoke on their own but only as the Father directed (14:10, 15:15, 16:13-15)

Jesus took His blood into the heavenly kingdom and opened the Tabernacle to all not requiring priests or levites or professors. He promised to return and He did so at Pentecost.

Not everyone, however, would receive their message. The world rejected the Son who was sent by the Father and would not listen to the Spirit (14: 17). Jesus explained that three evidences would be used by the Spirit to convict the world, proving it to be wrong in its basic premises about sin, righteousness, and judgment (16:8)

The first incriminating evidence will be the world's own disbelief in Jesus and its professed lack of sin

The Spirit testifies that the Son of God was sent to take away the sin of the world (1:29). But those who will not believe in the Son will die in their sin (8:24). In the end, refusal to believe in Jesus will prove that the world was wrong in failing to recognize its sin (16:9)

Just as the sin-cleansing death of Jesus will prove the world wrong about its stance on sin, Jesus' resurrection and ascension is the evidence that proves the world wrong about Jesus' righteousness (16: 10). When he returned to the Father, Jesus was restored to the glory that he had before the creation of the world (17:5)

Although he died a criminal's death, Jesus was the righteous one sent from God. At the end of the age, the Holy Spirit will use the ascension of Jesus to prove that the world was wrong in questioning his righteousness

The world is also mistaken in its belief that there is no judgment to which it is accountable. Although the world might reject the testimony of the Spirit, it will finally learn the truth: there is a judgment. Jesus' death on the cross was not Satan's victory but his defeat (12:31-32). And if the world continues to follow its false prince, it will know the reality of judgment because the ruler of this world has already been condemned by God (16:11)

If the world would accept the testimony of the Spirit regarding the Son of God, it would know the truth concerning its sin, Jesus' righteousness, and Satan's condemnation. But if the world continues to reject the Son of God, the Spirit will prove it wrong on each of these matters

THE SPIRIT EMPOWERS OUR WITNESS IN THE WORLD

Jesus reassures us that God's Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, a characteristic that he shares with both the Father and the Son (3:33,14:6,17,16:13). This has certain implications for our lives. Not only does the presence of the Spirit allow us to worship God in spirit and in truth (4:23-24) but it also directs our witness to the world

We can be confident that the Spirit of Truth testifies accurately on Jesus' behalf (15 :26). He guided Jesus' disciples to recall what Jesus had taught them (14:26) and helped them to understand how to apply his teachings in coming situations (16: 13). The Spirit did not create new information but declared only what had already been given to Jesus by the Father and taught to the disciples (14:26,15:15,16:15)

By protecting the truth of the disciples' witness, the Spirit also ensures the truth of our witness in the world. We relied on gospel accounts from eyewitnesses like the apostle John as we came to believe that Jesus was the Christ and accepted life in his name (20:31). Our testimony about Jesus continues to rest on the authority of scriptures that the Spirit inspired and guarded. And as we draw from the testimony of those who listened to Jesus' teaching, the Spirit also guides us to understand how to apply them in our present day, just as He guided the early disciples (16:13)

The last narrative involving the Holy Spirit in the gospel of John indicates a close connection between the gift of the Holy Spirit and the witness of Jesus' disciples to the world. The apostle records that on the evening of the resurrection day, Jesus came to his disciples as they hid behind locked doors, afraid of those who had crucified Jesus (20: 19). Some had seen the empty tomb (20:3-10). Others had heard Mary Magdalene's announcement that she had actually seen and spoken with the risen Lord (20: 18). Still, Jesus' disciples hid behind locked doors, afraid of persecution

The apostle John recalled that suddenly Jesus stood in their midst, commissioning them to leave their silent safety and go beyond the familiar walls. "As the Father has sent me," Jesus said, "so I send you" (20:21). Knowing that it was time for the Advocate to be given to them, Jesus breathed on them and said,

"Receive the Holy Spirit" (20:22). The importance of fulfilling their commission was underscored by Jesus' reminder that they were now involved in a work that had the potential to bring forgiveness of sin to others (20:23)

Matthew 28

Just as Jesus' disciples needed the Holy Spirit in order to witness to the world, we also rely on the Spirit's power and presence.

It is God's Spirit that continues to remind us that we too have been commissioned to carry the message about Jesus to a world in need of God's forgiveness. And it is the Spirit who reminds that when we fail to go beyond our safe walls, the sins of others go unforgiven

A careful look at the teaching found in the gospel of John regarding the Holy Spirit illumines a presence who was intimately involved in the ministry of Jesus.

The Spirit identified Jesus as God's Son, who in turn baptized with the Holy Spirit. Jesus specially requested that the same Spirit who dwelled with him be given to his followers when he ascended to the Father.

The Holy Spirit did not testify on his own behalf but reminded Jesus' disciples about the things the Lord taught

There is no need to be skeptical or afraid about the worth and work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He is not a gift offered by a bully or a trickster but one given by God to be a cherished reminder of the presence of our Lord.

The Spirit bestows new birth from above, regenerating us so we can worship God in spirit and in truth

The Holy Spirit abides with us and in us-a gift from God in the name of His beloved Son to his beloved children
