Review of Instrumental Music Plan

Ronnie Norman part of the "restructure" of Churches of Christ into an instrumental church: the  3rd service is the old punch line meaning we intend to go all the way. Please note that we warned you in 2004 and you laughed in our face. Click for the forum and discuss it.

Matthew 26 Jesus sung a hymn and went out

Well if you present yourself as a Doctor of the Law willing to deliberately sow discord it would really be nice if you defined words in the context in which Christ taught the foundational resource through the Prophets and Apostles.  They did not sing as in "sang and clan in whiney-falsetto praise songs singing their OWN material."  Both in Greek and Latin Hymn means to SPEAK and Latin Dicto means to SPEAK.  In that time and place before the rules were changed the word SPEAK was the opposite of poetry or music.  Poets, song writers and rhetoricians were not permitted to write TRUTH but what truth WOULD have been if they had been in charge.

1 Corinthians 14 Speaking in tongues OUTLAWS lifeless instruments

Paul used a word "speaking" which is used in the real world:

La^l-eō ,Mark of the Locusts
II.  chatter, opp. articulate speech, as of locusts, chirp, Theoc.5.34; mesēmbrias lalein tettix (sc. eimi), a very grasshopper to chirp at midday,
III.  of musical sounds, “aulō [flute] laleōTheoc.20.29; of trees, v.supr.1.2; “di'aulou [flute] ē salpiggos l.”[trumpet] Arist. Aud.801a29; of Echo, D.C.74.14: also c.acc. cogn., magadin lalein sound the magadis, Anaxandr.35. [double flute]
1Corinthians 14:8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

Salp-igx , iggos, , A. war-trumpet hupai salpiggos by sound of trumpet, S.El.711, cf. Ar.Ach.1001; also apo s. X.Eq.Mag.3.12, Plb.4.13.1.

The only thing a trumpet can do is make SOUND. It was a war trumpet or reserved for sending life-saving signals. If Silly Willy is blowing his cow's horn he is endangering the society.

5.01.11 Well prophesied in Revelation 17-18

John T. Willis 2. "Sing" is vocal; "make melody" is instrumental. Psalms 33:2-3; 144:9; 149:1, 3 make this crystal clear. Amos 5:23 further verifies this reality.  People forget that God turned Israel over to worship the starry host because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai. The Levites were under the KING and the COMMANDERS of the army: they made war and not worship. We will examine these passages in context.

Church is Ekklesia or Synagogue: both for instruction only: both exclusive of any performing arts: you don't do music when God's Word is taught.  I submit that you cannot be a Christian if you do not understand the meaning of "teach them what I have commanded to be taught."

1.04.11 When people speak out of their own imagination instead of the Word as Spirit by Christ in the Prophets and Apostles, Christ calls it blasphemy.  Of Hezekiah's Plague stopping exorcism used to say that "God commanded instrumental praise and we must not be disobedient" Christ calls them BLASPHEMERS.

The first two reasons assert that under the Old Testament, God did not just allow instrumental music, He commanded and blessed it. Rick offered the following passages for these contentions: 2 Chronicles 5:13-14; 7:6; 29:25-26; Psalm 33:1- 3; 92:1-3; 150:1-6.

Never mind that the godly tribes were quarantined. No singer or player went INTO or NEAR a holy thing or place on the penalty of death. Some of these patterns are separated from the last by up to 300 years.

CHRIST IN THE PROPHETS WARNED ABOUT THE LYING PEN OF THE SCRIBES.

Stand in the gate of the Lords house [courts], and proclaim there this word,
and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah,
that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord. Jeremiah 7:2

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel,
Amend your ways and your doings,
and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Jeremiah 7:3

Trust ye not in lying words, saying,
The temple of the Lord, The temple of the Lord,
The temple of the Lord, are these. Jeremiah 7:4

Jer. 8:8 How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is WITH US?
        LO, CERTAINLY IN VAIN MADE HE IT;
THE PEN OF THE SCRIBES IS in vain.

For I spake NOT unto your fathers, nor commanded them
in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt,
concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: Jeremiah 7:22

Cyril of Alexandria, Commentary on John,

That the Pharisees puffed up unto strange boasting,
were wont to pretend that the Divine Word was with them and in them,
and therefore foolishly affirmed that they had advanced to marvellous wisdom,
        the Spirit Itself will testify,
since Christ says by the Prophet Jeremiah unto them,
How do ye say, WE are wise, and the word of the Lord is with us?
                For nought to the scribes became their lying pen;
                the wise
men were ashamed, were dismayed and taken;
                what wisdom
is in them? because they rejected the word of the Lord.

For how are they not taken rejecting the Living and Hypostatic Word of God,
receiving not the faith to Him-ward,
but dishonouring the Impress of God the Father,
and refusing to behold His most true Form (so to say)
through His God-befitting Authority and Power?

THE PROPHECIES BY CHRIST WERE FULFILLED BY JESUS CHRIST: JESUS AND PETER MAKES THE APOSTLES AND PROPHETS THE ONLY TRUTH.

John 6:44 No man can come to me,
except the Father which hath sent me draw him:
and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:45 It is WRITTEN IN THE PROPHETS
And they shall be all taught of God.
Every man therefore that hath heard,
and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

2Pet. 3:2 That ye may be mindful of the words
which were spoken before by the HOLY PROPHETS
and of the commandment of us the APOSTLES of the Lord and Saviour:

IT WAS THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST WHO SPOKE THROUGH THE PROPHETS AND NOT LYING SCRIBES whom He called hypocrites by naming speakers, singers and instrument players in Ezekiel 33.

1Pet. 1:10 Of which salvation the PROPHETS have inquired and searched diligently,
who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Pet. 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time
the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify,
when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ,
and the glory that should follow.

God did NOT speak through the lying pen of the Scribes who recorded the Monarchy which God had NOT commanded.

Heb. 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners
spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Heb. 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us BY HIS SON
whom he hath appointed heir of all things,
        by whom also he made the worlds;
Heb. 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory,
and the express image of his person,
and upholding all things by the WORD of his power,
when he had by himself purged our sins,
sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high

THOSE WHO DELIBERATELY SOW DISCORD BY QUOTING THE LYING PEN OF THE SCRIBES (hypocrites: speakers, singers, instrument players) are defined by the Spirit:

Jer. 23:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts,
Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you:
they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart,
and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

Jer 23:17 They say still unto them that despise me,
        The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace;
and they say unto every one that walketh
after the imagination of his own heart,
No evil shall come upon you.

Blasphēm-eō , pf. A. “beblasphēmēka” D.18.10:—speak profanely of sacred things, “eis theous” Pl.R.381e; offer rash prayers,

1. Because Christ as Spirit spoke ONLY through the prophets.
2. Those who use use the pattern of the Lying Pen of the Scribes, in fact despise and ignore the SPIRIT message.
3. Christ in Jeremiah defines that as blasphemy

Hebrew: H5006 nâ’ats naw-ats' A primitive root; to scorn; abhor, (give occasion to) blaspheme, contemn, despise, flourish, X great, provoke.

Updated 1.19.10 Jeremiah's parallel to the NOT musical passages in Ephesians 5 and Colossians 3. It is an absolute certainty that the eternal conflict is between the Word of God which produces rejoicing "in the heart" and perverse (crooked generation) use of music to SILENCE the Lamb's Voice and replace it with rejoicing in sight, sound and body movements.

Updated 1.18.10 To show that the Scriptures always defines the assembly as for SPEAKING the Word of God and then meditate (word similiar to MELOS but not musical) on that which they have taught one another. This is defined for the Church of Christ in the wilderness as to READ and REHEARSE the Word of God.  Ephesians 5 is the only place where psallo is substituted which must be understood in light of all of Paul's other identical commands
1Tim. 4:15 Meditate upon these things;
        give thyself wholly to them;
that thy profiting may appear to all.

G3191
meletaō mel-et-ah'-o From a presumed derivative of G3199 ; to take care of, that is, (by implication) revolve in the mind:--imagine, (pre-) meditate

Bible Class 101a: you SPEAK or teaching from the RESOURCE
Then you meditate, contemplate or resolve the meaning in your own heart or spirit.
Updated 12:56 1.11.09 Worked on Lying Wonders. Any of the "hypocritic" art Jesus marked in Isaiah and Ezekiel as rhetoricians, singers and instrument players used under the pretense that they can appease or please God by making themselves look more delicate and attractive.  It was Nimrod of Babylon who led about a female musical worship team claiming to correct morals by external means. We call that idolatry and rank legalism since a musical instrument is defined as "a machine for doing hard work mostly in making war and creating the shock and awe of religious spectacle."

Music? Since Ronnie and friends claim the Bible commands making music, I have added some of the universal Biblical and literary evidence that the MUSES which John called sorcerers or locusts were always dirty adulterers. Besides you couldn't sing any of the commanded Biblical text tunefully if your life depended on it.  "Melody as tunefulness belongs to the 19th century." It is still a series of single notes.

Updated 1.06.10, 12:02p
To define a sample of the universal meaning of "lying wonders" which are to MARK people who have lied to God and about Him and the Word. Because it is easy to prove that the "proof texts" are out of context and ignore that the national Jewish system had been abandoned to Sabazianism or STAR worship, I have decided to not be "infiltrated and diverted" and look at music as the MARK of people who have told God in Christ to shut His mouth.  The Levites (an old cult from Egypt cursed by their father) made sacrificial noise to "make the lambs dumb before the slaughter." In all sacrificial systems the instrument players were called PARASITES and religious music has always been known as sacred violence. The CROSS has the meaning of cooling down the blood and flesh lust of tribalists still ritually murdering their gods, then kings, then scapegoats and finally animals.  Christ in the prophets says that it was NOT commanded when God rescued Israel by pure grace and they rose up in musical idolatry of the Egyptian trinity under the golden Calves.

1.04.10
a work under construction.  People who violated their trust and Biblical base appealed to the "instruments" used during animal sacrifices to say that God commanded instrumental praise and we should not be disobedient. This has been a clear shift within the NACC and those they have worked with. This was at times used by original discorders to say that the psallo word demanded the use of instruments. The result is that nothing is off the table when dealing with ANTI-instrumentalists who refuse to used instruments and continue to teach what the Bible and all of church history makes clear.
  1. David Faust has been the most recent "unity" point man and handler of the few men betraying their flock.
  2. Ronnie uses 2 Chronicles 5 as a patternism for imposing instruments.
  3. A similar study of the dedication of the Temple Stephen says God did not authorize.
  4. 2 Chronicles 29: Hezekiah's plague stopping BURNT OFFERING with instruments the prophets say were NOT COMMANDED.
  5. Ronnie Norman on Romans 14 which FORBIDS private diversities in the assembly
This is based on two sermons: Music Matters (Pt. 1).mp3 and Music Matters (Pt. 2).mp3. Ronnie Norman also rests his case on the sermons presented by Rick Atchley which were prepared from material from David Faust then president of the NACC.
KEY WAYS TO IDENTIFY A CHURCH ABANDONED AND DELUDED.
CLICK for a small sample of Lying Wonders which Paul would have understood in his writings EASY to be twisted by twisters.
CLICK to read that Christ the Rock defined the Church of Christ in the wilderness and defined the only "worship" concept both inclusively and exclusivey.  That practice never changed with the Church as the reign of Christ other than adding the Lord's Supper as a teaching or evangelism act.

CLICK TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE MARKS LEFT BY THE PSALLO CODE WORD.  First rolled out in 1878 and again about 100 years later.

I will link you to most of the false "proof words" and not try to do it over based on Ronnie's Music Matters.  I will note the universal view that NOT using instruments in what everyone -- including the Campbells -- knew to be a school of the Word of God, was not a tradition invented by the Church of Christ.
Ronnie Norman: The Anti-instrumental music view is a product of the Restoration movement bact to the Bible no creed but Christ, Christians only, in Essentials unity, in all things love. He further says that "churches of Christ were founded around the non-instrumental ussue.
The PRO-instrumental music view is defined by the SERPENT in the garden of Eden: the word defines a Musical Enchanter(ess).  Christ in Isaiah and Ezekiel defines the king of Tyre who stole souls and property as LUCIFER the singing and harp-playing prostitute in the garden of Eden.  With a never-silent attack on people using music as the Lucifer Principle, Scripture ends by warning about the same Babylon mother of harlots (Rev 17) who uses the same lusted after fruits (as in the garden and defined by Amos) as rhetoricians, singers and instrument players. John calls them SORCERERS who had deceived the whole world.

In fact, those imposing the hypocritic arts into the spiritual "Holy Place" claiming to be god by claiming to lead you into His presence are the PROPHESIED sorcerers as SCAPE-GOATS John defined with CERTAINTY in Revelation 18.  When religionists fail and the coffers faltar the musicians are imposed to STAND FOR the false preachers and ABSORB the punishment due them.

Contrary to the known facts, those who will not bow when others pipe--like those of the Church who had never used instruments for two thousand years--are slapped with the guilt clause.

They invented the ANTI-instrumental music term and declared that to continue to oppose the use of instruments (even imposed in their own congregation) put people beyond the pale and made them fair game for games mostly foul. The "unity" concept clearly insisted on the ANTI-instrumentalists confessing that they had been wrong NEVER to have been confiscated and beginning "fellowship." That would demand affirming, endorsing, attending and actively supporting the instrumentalists.

The TRUTH is that none of the denominations which flowed into the Restoration Movement churches could imagine anyone being so deprived that they would add instruments. Instruments became an issue among the presbyterians before discorders began to IMPOSE instruments in the Disciples of Christ. The Baptists were still fighting the takeover around the turn of the Century when Churches of Christ simply declared that they were not PART OF and could not be COUNTED by the Disciples of Christ.   Groups known as The Church of Christ had never in its history used instruments. Even if they came out of the Catholic church they would not have endured "congregational singing with organ accompaniment."  The direct command, all of the examples and necesarily inferred in Christ's, Paul's and the Campbelll's "school ov the bible" was to use "that which is written," Scripture and "that which has been taught."  None of the Bible is metrical and could not be sung if your life depended on it. Protestants introduced singing in a tuneful sense only after the Reformation.

SOME POINTS NEED TO BE MADE BEFORE FOLLOWING THE RED HERRING PROOF TEXTS WHICH ASSUME THAT THE FLOCK HAS BEEN ALREADY STARVED FOR LACK OF THE WORD USING MUSIC IN GRADUALISM. Just in case you may be under attack we first need too alert you to:

WHAT ARE THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS OF LYING WONDERS?

I felt the need to jump ahead of the story to prove that at SOME TIME people will be deceived with "Biblical proportions" and now may be the time.  One lying wonder would be to sow discord to add a performing "Musical Worship Team." There are two lies: the unique worship word for the Church of Christ in the wilderness was to rest, read and rehearse the Word of God: the Campbell's knew that "church is a school of the Bible" and "worship is reading and musing the Word."  Both Paul and Peter define that over and over.  Worship would be to give heed to "that which is written" or the Word of Christ in the never-musical passages. If using the performing artists singing their own compositions is claimed to give heed to Christ and His word it is both a lie and a wonder or "show" of godliness. Such "teams" were introduced as having the power to "lead the worshipers into the presence of God" which claims the role of God in Christ standing in the holy places of church architecture.

IF NOT NOW UNDER YOUR WATCH THEN WHEN COULD THE PATTERN FIT MORE PERFECTLY?

As Jesus spoke in parables to fool the foolish Paul and John looked to the Greek world's understanding to that even a school boy would understand not to believe in the lies and "magic" of the pagan religionists.

At this time we need to watch for the lying wonders which you will miss if you follow the misdirection as promoted in Navigating the Winds of Change.

whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit [breath] of his mouth,

Lying Wonders: -Teratourg-eô, A. WORK wonders, pseudôsti Sch.Pi.I.7(6).13.

Opposite epagōg-ē , 2. bringing in to one's aid, introduction, 4. allurement, enticement b. incantation, spell, leading away into captivity.

Aristot. Rh. 3.6.3 [3] Use metaphors and epithets by way of illustration, taking care, however, to avoid what is too poetical. Aristot. Rh. 3.6.7   Poets also make use of this in inventing words, as a melody "without strings" or "without the lyre"; for they employ epithets from negations, a course which is approved in proportional metaphors, as for instance, to say that tNhe sound of the trumpet is a melody without the lyre.

Note: Psallo is never translated "melody" in the Greek literature.  If you want to sow discord instead of psallo and add TUNEFUL MELODY with an instrument the word is Melos. That's why Paul nor the Bible ever uses the word and why it is A LIE to make "melody or grace IN the heart mean melody WITH a harp.  The word PSALLO would absolute outlaw using any instrument you cannot pluck WITH YOUR FINGERS and never with a plectrum.
From the Church in the wilderness onward and defined by the Campbells the command was to speak the Words of God externally and rehearse or meditate on them in the heart.

-[3. 8. 1 The form of diction should be neither metrical nor without rhythm. If it is metrical, it lacks persuasiveness, for it appears artificial, and at the same time it distracts the hearer's attention, since it sets him on the watch for the recurrence of such and such a cadence.

-Pindar, Pythian, Odes 4:[216] Aphrodite [ZOE] of Cyprus brought the maddening bird to men for the first time, and she taught the son of Aeson skill in prayerful incantations, so that he could rob Medea of reverence for her parents. and a longing for Greece would lash her, her mind on fire, with the whip of Persuasion.

A WORK OR WONDER WOULD BE TO PERFORM ANY RITUAL CLAIMING THAT IT IS DOING A DIVINE WORK OR WORSHIP.  A heretic is someone who chooses to CARRY AWAY something that belongs to another.

-Plato Athenian Laws  [884a] Next after cases of outrage we shall state for cases of violence one universally inclusive principle of law, to this effect:--
No one shall carry or drive off anything which belongs to others,
        nor shall he use any of his neighbor's goods unless he has gained the consent of the owner;
for from such action proceed all the evils above mentioned--past, present and to come.
Of the rest, the most grave are the licentious and outrageous acts of the young; and outrages offend most gravely when they are directed against sacred things, and they are especially grave when they are directed against objects which are public as well as holy, or partially public, as being shared in by the members of a tribe or other similar community
. [885a] As to temple-robbing, whether done by open violence or secretly...
Most deliberate sowing of discord has been fueled by Lynn Anderson's Navigating the Winds of Change. The message is how to BLOW the winds of change SLOWLY and pushy enough not to get fired.

Then after boasting, in some circles, of "infiltrating and diverting" to turn the church house of widows into a "theater for holy entertainment"
the patternism never changes and therefore sometimes prophecy is based on human nature.
Plato Athenian Laws [885b] it has been already stated summarily what the punishment should be...  [885d] For as it is, this and such as this is the account of them we hear from those who are reputed the best of poets [poiêtôn], orators [rhêtorôn], seers [Mantisoida], priests [hieros], and thousands upon thousands of others; and consequently most of us, instead of seeking to avoid wrong-doing, do the wrong and then try to make it good.

Because all arts are second or third imitations of nature, using art is in fact nature worship.

Lying wonders think that they can make music (sorcery says John) and appease God or make the performers look appealing:

-Plato Laws 10.909
But as to all those who have become like ravening beasts, and who, besides holding that the gods are negligent [909b] or open to bribes, despise men,
charming the souls of many of the living,
and claiming that they charm the souls of the dead,
and promising to persuade the gods by bewitching them,
as it were, with sacrifices, prayers and incantations,2
and who try thus to wreck utterly not only individuals, but whole families [Oikia  and States for the sake of money,—if any of these men be pronounced guilty, the court shall order him to be imprisoned according to law in the mid-country jail,

-Plat. Rep. 364b and disregard those who are in any way weak or poor, even while admitting that they are better men than the others. But the strangest of all these speeches are the things they say about the gods and virtue, how so it is that the gods themselves assign to many good men misfortunes and an evil life but to their opposites a contrary lot; and begging priests and soothsayers go to rich men's doors and make them believe that they by means of sacrifices and incantations have accumulated a treasure of power from the gods that can expiate and cure with pleasurable festivals

The radical invasion of "musical worship teams" made the claim that they could "lead the worshipers into the presence of God."  Fittingly this was the role of Hermes the father of the "new hermeneutic" which was old at the Towers of Babylon.

For he says I am a maker of gods; and because I make new gods and do not believe in the old ones, he indicted me for the sake of these old ones, as he says. Euthyphro I understand, Socrates; it is because you say the divine monitor keeps coming to you. So he has brought the indictment against you for making innovations in religion, and he is going into court to slander you, knowing that slanders on such subjects are readily accepted by the people. Why, they even laugh at me and say I am crazy
Poietes or maker of new dramas or songs is always used with the word HYPOCRITE one who responds, interprets or expounder, plays a part on the stage, orator, recites, pretender, dissenbler.

-Rhesus 915 Yes, for it was your pride, your own undoing, and your rivalry with the Muses that made me mother of this poor son of mine. For as I crossed the river's streams [920]  I came too near to Strymon's fruitful couch, that day we Muses came to the brow of Mount Pangaeus with its soil of gold, furnished forth with all our music for one great trial of minstrel skill with that clever Thracian bard; and we blinded him, [925]  Thamyris, the man who often reviled our craft.
-Pindar Istmian 7 Odes: [1] In which of the local glories of the past, divinely blessed Thebe, did you most delight your spirit? Was it when you raised to eminence the one seated beside Demeter of the clashing bronze cymbals, flowing-haired [5] Dionysus? [The New Wineskins god]

AN EXAMPLE OF A LYING WONDER

-Xenophon, Socrates, Symposium 2 When the tables had been removed and the guests had poured a libation and sung a hymn, there entered a man from Syracuse, to give them an evening's merriment. He had with him a fine flute-girl, a dancing-girl—one of those skilled in acrobatic tricks,—and a very handsome boy, who was expert at playing the cither and at dancing; the Syracusan made money by exhibiting their performances as a spectacle. [2] They now played for the assemblage, the flute-girl on the flute, the boy on the cither; and it was agreed that both furnished capital amusement. Thereupon Socrates remarked: “On my word, Callias, you are giving us a perfect dinner; for not only have you set before us a feast that is above criticism, but you are also offering us very delightful sights and sounds.” [3] “Suppose we go further,” said Callias, “and have some one bring us some perfume, so that we may dine in the midst of pleasant odours, also.”

3
After this the boy, attuning his lyre to the flute, played and sang, and won the applause of all; and brought from Charmides the remark,
“It seems to me, gentlemen, that, as Socrates said of the wine,
so this blending of the young people's beauty and of the notes of the music
lulls one's griefs to sleep and awakens the goddess of Love.
WHICH IS THE OPPOSITE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

[4] “Very well, then,” said Callias, “I will now tell you what I take greatest pride in. It is that I believe I have the power to make men better.”

“How?” asked Antisthenes. “By teaching them some manual trade, or by teaching nobility of character?”The latter, if righteousness is the same thing as nobility.”“Certainly it is,” replied Antisthenes, “and the least debatable kind, too;

for though courage and wisdom appear at times to work injury both to one's friends and to the state,
righteousness and unrighteousness never overlap at a single point.”

ANOTHER EXAMPLE
-7.5 Nor is it any more diverting to watch the young and beautiful going through bodily contortions and imitating hoops than to contemplate them in repose [5] However, these questions also fail to promote the same object that wine does; but if the young people were to have a flute accompaniment and dance figures depicting the GRACES, the Horae, and the Nymphs, I believe that they would be far less wearied themselves and that the charms of the banquet would be greatly enhanced.
“Upon my word, Socrates,” replied the Syracusan, “you are quite right; and I will bring in a spectacle that will delight you.”
Note: Or, the Seasons. Or it may be used here in the Homeric sense of the maidens who kept the cloud gate of Heaven.  The Horae are the goddesses of FRUITS associated with Aphrodite (Zoe, Lucifer), Apollo (Abaddon, Apollyon) and Helios (the Sun. Opora ripe virginity, ripe for plucking, fruits. Belonging to Bakch-eios and his rites
-Pind. I. 2 The men of old, Thrasybulus, who mounted the chariot of the Muses with their golden headbands, joining the glorious lyre, lightly shot forth their honey-voiced songs for young men, if one was handsome and had [5] the sweetest ripeness that brings to mind Aphrodite on her lovely throne. [6] For in those days the Muse was not yet a lover of gain, nor did she work for hire.
And sweet gentle-voiced odes did not go for sale,
with silvered faces, from honey-voiced Terpsichore.
But as things are now, she bids us heed [10] the saying of the Argive man, which comes closest to actual truth: [11] “Money, money makes the man,” he said, when he lost his wealth and his friends at the same time.

He also welcomed all the banquets for the gods, [40] and the force of the blowing wind never made him furl his sail around his hospitable table;

-The Horae [Whore or any priestess performing religious rites]

Yet another version of Aphrodite as Triple Goddess,
        Agape 'love feast,'
        Irene 'peace,' and
        Chione 'snow queen.'
Irene was also a Goddess in her own right, and she had an attendant named Opora 'autumn.' The Horae who 'greeted' Aphrodite on the shores of Kyprus were her three high priestesses who carried her statue through the shallows, clothing it on the beach during her bathing and purification festival.
Irene was the Crone, bringer of the peace of death,  Agape the ruler of sacred sexual rites, and Chione was the new year, born at Winter Solstice, unapproachable and serene.

Regarding the cultic associations and the Love-Feast, Rudolph comments: the ceremony only superficially resembles the Christian eucharist, but rather continues older Greek and Hellenistic secret cults (like that of Eleusis and that of the god Sabazios,

in which the snake was worshipped as a symbol of the chthonic deity and fertility). For the Ophites or Nassene gnostics the snake was a medium of revelation and mouthpiece of the most sublime... Resource GNOSIS: The Nature & History of Gnosticism by Kurt Rudolf p. 242

No one willing to sow massive discord can possibly be speaking the truth: any Bible reader knows that all of the "proof texts" are from those whom God turned over to worship the starry host.  You have to go OUTSIDE of the massed multitudes to find Jesus and suffer reproaches before He will give you rest to "come learn of Me."
God's Word is intentionally NOT metrical (with measure) because the Spirit or Mind of Christ is not an enchanter or sorcerer.

NO ENLIGHTENED PERSON IN HISTORY DID NOT KNOW THAT THE "LOCUSTS" LULL YOU TO SLEEP SO THEY CAN GIVE YOU THE STING OF DEATH.

The Bible points outside of itself to identify the false religionists before it defines the church or ekklesia as a synagogue or school of the Bible.  Those familiar with the musical fall from grace at Mount Sinai will know that MUSICAL noises were excluded when the common people assembled ONLY for instruction from God.

SPEAK is defined inclusive of a conversational style: it is definned EXCLUSIVE of rhetoric, poetry or music which is the MARK of those conceiving to deceive.

Ronnie Norman asks: "Is there a whole book on how to do church services? No. Is there a chapter? No.  Are there verses? No. Is there ONE verse? No.

The unique "worship" word beginning in the wilderness for the civillians was synagogue: people were gathered together for the sole purpose of PREACHING the Word by READING the word and to "gather" or center their minds on the only resource of "textbook." This would be oral teaching from Moses handed down to leaders of small groups. Then, it would be any written material which any competent elder would store in their minds.  An APT elder would be capable of memorizing much of the whole text.

Well, sorry we missed the Qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ in the wilderness.  It is defined inclusively and exclusively of vocal or instrumental rejoicing or "high sounding speech."

After the Israelites fell or were led into musical idolatry at Mount Sinai God abandoned specificially the tribe of Levi to lead the worship of the starry hosts: Acts 7 is parallel to Amos. Christ ordained the Qahal, synagogue or church of Christ in the wilderness. This was the common word for "synagogue" which was for all of the SPIRITUAL people who were quarantined from the Levi clergy who had been CURSED by Jacob and ABANDONED to worship the starry host. Whatever you find being done "musically" it is defined as EXORCISM noise and never called "music."

WHY TAKE A CHANCE ON THE ABSOLUTE SIGNS THAT GOD HAS SENT YOU STRONG DELUSIONS?

We know exactly what the Church of Christ is inclusively and exclusively beginning in the wilderness after the evil sect fell into musical idolatry at Mount Sinai.

WHAT IS DIRECTLY COMMANDED FOR THE CHURCH
AFTER THE FALL INTO MUSICAL IDOLATRY
Catholic Encyclopedia. Every seven years, that is in the year of release, during the feast of Tabernacles, the Law was to be read before all the people according to the command found in Deut., xxxi, 10.

But this enactment was probably soon found to be impracticable;
and thus the Jewish authorities arranged to read on every sabbath,
commencing with the sabbath after the feast of Tabernacles in one year of release
and ending with the feast of Tabernacles in the next year of release,
a portion of the Law so calculated that the whole Pentateuch would be read through in seven years.

This would in some way the commandment be fulfilled. Some time later,
the Jews of Palestine lengthened the sections for each sabbath
in such a manner that he entire Law could be read in three years (Talm. Babyl. Megillah, 29b).

Miqra (h4744) mik-raw'; from 7121; something called out, i. e. a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal: - assembly, calling, convocation, reading.

So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. Ne.8:8

Bible students understand that never changed and explained why the Gentiles were ready to hear the gospel.

Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

WHAT IS DIRECTLY EXCLUDED FOR THE CHURCH

God only authorized the two silver trumpets: these were reserved for sending important signals.  However, many people had their own flutes or shofars, tambourines and sistrums: Miriam had her sistrum as a priestess or prophetess in Egypt.  The women especially were prone to parade around singing, clapping, dancing and beating on instruments.   As a prophetess the word means soothsaying just as does the prophesying of the Levitical warriors.

Therefore, the command:

Num. 10:5 When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
Num. 10:6 When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey:
they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

These instruments never made "music" but were used by direct command to be reseved for signalling people.

The general population was called into assembly to communicate information from God through Moses to sub-groups.

Num. 10:7 But when the congregation is to be gathered together
ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.  [h7321 Ruwah explaining the boast about Worship Wars.]

See how Judas would fail to alarm or triumph over Jesus: this was left for the Levitical Warriors to musically mock Jesus up to the Cross.

The command of God which did not include "musical instrument" in the Law of Moses were only for the tribe of Levi and sons of Aaron.  No one else was permitted to blow trumpets which were reserved for sending "certain sounds" as signals.

Num. 10:8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets;
and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

When the plague-stopping animal slaughter in 2 Chronicles 29 used as proof text for instruments, this is the COMMAND given for the trumpets because God abandoned the Civil-Military-Levite complext to make war and not make worship.

There were other specific signals for other events.  In the not-commanded animal sacrifices they signalled events and never "made music."

The Synagogue or Church of Christ is well documented by Commands, Examples with no one "inferring" instruments IN thhe synagogue "holy place" until the year 1815.

See a history of the synagogue or Church of Christ begun in the wilderness.

See John Calvin's understanding that instruments and "elevated speech" was outlawed.

No one earlier would have assumed that anyone could be so evil or ignorant as to violate this direct command.

Cynics Diogenes, in particular, was referred to as the Dog.. a distinction he seems to have revelled in, stating that "other dogs bite their enemies, I bite my friends to save them."  Later Cynics also sought to turn the word to their advantage, as a later commentator explained:
There are four reasons why the Cynics are so named. First because of the indifference of their way of life, for they make a cult of indifference and, like dogs, eat and make love in public, go barefoot, and sleep in tubs and at crossroads. The second reason is that the dog is a shameless animal, and they make a cult of shamelessness, not as being beneath modesty, but as superior to it. The third reason is that the dog is a good guard, and they guard the tenets of their philosophy. The fourth reason is that the dog is a discriminating animal which can distinguish between its friends and enemies. So do they recognize as friends those who are suited to philosophy, and receive them kindly, while those unfitted they drive away, like dogs, by barking at them.

He once masturbated in the Agora; when rebuked for doing so, he replied, "If only it was as easy to soothe my hunger by rubbing my belly."

ALL of the historic literature used by the NACC to prove that psallo means or commands to "play a musical instrument" as an act of worship points to older males. They plucked the harp string in order to seduce a younger male whose hairs had been plucked. Paul speaks of these emasculated males.

Human nature, then, is without doubt ashamed of this lust; and justly so, for the insubordination of these members, and their defiance of the will, are the clear testimony of the punishment of man’s first sin. And it was fitting that this should appear specially in those parts by which is generated that nature which has been altered for the worse by that first and great sin,—that sin from whose evil connection no one can escape, unless God’s grace expiate in him individually that which was perpetrated to the destruction of all in common, when all were in one man, and which was avenged by God’s justice.

Huxley also said and we quote to assist Lynn Anderson's explicit promostion.

Abused as we abuse it at present, dramatic art (preaching) is in no sense cathartic; it is merely a form of emotional masturbation. It is the rarest thing to find a player who has not had his character affected for the worse by the practice of his profession.

Nobody can make a habit of self-exhibition, nobody can exploit his personality for the sake of exercising a kind of hypnotic power over others, and remain untouched by the process. From Source

A man who strains himself on the stage is bound, if he is any good, to strain all the people sitting in the stalls. Bertolt Brecht

The actor searches vainly for the sound of a vanished tradition, and critic and audience follow suit.

We have lost all sense of ritual and ceremony -- whether it be connected with Christmas, birthdays or funerals -- but the words remain with us and old impulses stir in the marrow.

We feel we should have rituals, we should do something about getting them and we blame the artists for not finding them for us.

So the artist sometimes attempts to find new rituals with only his imagination as his source: he imitates the outer form of ceremonies, pagan or baroque, unfortunately adding his own trapping -- the result is rarely convincing. And after the years and years of weaker and waterier imitations we now find ourselves rejecting the very notion of a holy stage.

It is not the fault of the holy that it has become a middle-class weapon to keep the children good. Peter (Stephen Paul) Brook

THOSE ABANDONED TO WORSHIP THE STARRY HOST JUST CONTINUED THEIR EGYPTIAN IDOLATRY

"Despite the differences between the Mosaic and the Egyptian cults, it can hardly be denied that Egyptian influence on Jewish musical practices were quite significant. They would stand to reason because of the high quality of egyptian cultic music.

The tambourine or timbrel, a hoop of bells over which a white skin was stretched, came from Egypt. Miriam used this instrument to accompany the singing and dancing on the shores of the Red Sea (Ex. 15).

The trumpet blown for decampment, at the gathering of the people and on different cultic occasions, especially during sacrifices (2 Chron. 30:21; 35:15; Num 10:2), was the signaling instrument of the Egyptian army.

The sistrum, according to 2 Sam 6:5, was used by the Israelites and bore the name mena'aneim. It was the same as the Egyptian kemkem which was employed in the cult of Isis.

The solemnity celebrated on the occasion of the transferring of the Ark to Sion, as well as the dances of the daughters of Israel at the annual feast of the Lord of Shiloh (Judg 21:21), were similar in thier musical embellishments to Egyptian customs in the liturgy and at parades. As Herodotus reports,

women sang the praises of Osiris while likenesses of the gods were born about and, during the festival of Diana at Bubastis,

choirs of men and women sang and danced to the beating of drums and the playing of flutes." (Quasten, Johannes, Music and Worship in Pagan and Christian Antiquity, p. 65

Ronnie Norman claims that the: Separated practiced non-instrumental, no more beautiful instrument. Elevated to be a test of being faithful, matter of salvation, litmus test of orthodoxy.
The Churces of Christ never belonged to the Disciples and could not have separated: it was the Christian Churches who sected out of the Disciples from 1927 to 1971.  Ronnie and friends seem to think that the ANTI-instrumntal Church of Christ REMOVED instruments from the church.  Some confessions were made that grand buildings constructed out of full carpetbags could not be supported. Therefore, the building war led to the worship wars with church organists being high paid professionals. The intention was to attract the largest miscellaneous crowd.  One of the first free black Methodists churches discovered that a loss of support caused by division could be made up by having concerts. This quickly led to introducing music in the church.
Presbyterian group: In the realm of Church Praise there was at that time throughout the Presbyterian Church a movement to overcome the old antipathies towards the introduction of instrumental music and the congregation was not immune from this tendency. In May, 1887, the Committee voiced the ever increasing desire for such innovation in a request to the Session to agree to the School organ being used at public services, but, by August it had become evident that agreement could not be reached and the matter was allowed to drop in the meantime.

By November, 1907, the question of the installation of an organ in the Church was again raised and, this time, the Session agreed to the proposal. It was arranged, pending the purchase of a suitable instrument, to hire one.
The same FALL into musical idolatry happened at about the same time and split all protestant groups.

None of the groups influenced by the Campbells had ever used instruments because they were Biblically literate and ethically reverent.

Those who IMPOSED instruments deliberately SOWED DISCORD and offended many of the OWNERS forced to "love it or leave it." Those who IMPOSE anything not absolutely required are defined as heretics or sectarians.  Those willing to "steal the church house of widows" ELEVATE it to a litmus if you remain.   Shooting people and blaming them for bleeding is part of the sectarian patternism.
Ronnie Norman claims that the: Says that Ephesians 5  demands that we speak, sing and MAKE MUSIC.
That's not true. The "musicians" in Revelation 18 are called "lusted after fruits" [same as in Amos] under the Babylon mother of harlots. Along with the instrument players and other worship technicians John calls them sorcerers who had deceived the whole world.

The PATTERN is defined inclusively and exclusively for the Church of Christ in the wilderness. In both the Old and New Testament the writers WARN us against the musical and always perverted practices of the Gentiles. Getting drunk on wine is commonly made to mean "getting PIPED DOWN with wine."  Only after you have caused the minds to be calm and not aggitated is it remotely possible to speak CHRIST'S songs and sermons to EDUCATE.

The Disciples invented the word PSALLO to justify their musical sectarianism for the first time in 1878.  However, every heresy carries along the MARK to identify the NATURE of those lying about God and to God about His Word. The fact that you can PLUCK a harp string does not mean "make music." All of the NACC's proof texts proving that it means to play a harp are from the context of older males plucking the harp string skillfully to seduce the young males whose hairs had been plucked as "priestlings of the mother goddess."

PSALLO: WHY WOULD GOD IN CHRIST THE SPIRIT PICK A WORD DEVOTED TO WARFARE AND PERVERSION FOR WORSHIP?

PSALLO LITERALLY MEANS TO MAKE WAR: THE LEVITES (baby burners from Egypt) were under the KING and COMMANDERS OF THE ARMY.

GOD gave them kings IN HIS ANGER because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai and DEMANDING a human king because they wanted to live and worship LIKE THE NATIONS. So, Jerusalem is called SODOM and the CENTER of STAR and SERPENT worship.

Lynn Anderson is still honored by the once-Christian colleges for being so instrumental in introducing instruments AFTER "sowing the winds of change." Anyone who ever read Ephesians 4 would know that God ordained men to reveal the Word to PREPARE people to resist this WINDY storms which speak of music and perversion.
Lynn Anderson Proof Text: Zondervan Pictorial Bible Dictionary.  Grand Rapids, Michigan, 1963.  P.694.
Psalmos – “Its name in Latin and English Bibles . . . comes from the Greek, Psalmos, which means ‘twangings [of harp strings]’, and then, as a result, songs sung to the accompaniment of harps.  This latter name originated in the LXX (cf. its NT authenticity, Luke 20:42) and reflects the form of the book’s poetry.  The same is true of its alternate title, Psalterion, meaning ‘psaltery,’ and then, a collection of harp songs, from which comes the English term ‘Psalter.’”
That was never stated in any historical document.  Psallo means to "pluck with the fingers and never with a plectrum" because it is derived from plucking the bow to make war .  It never MEANS to twang a harp strings: it was used IN CONNECTION with a harp string and could just as easily mean to pluck out the private hairs of the youth being seduced by harp lucking.

As the INSTRUMENTS were under the KING and commanders of the ARMY to make WAR and never worship, why would people use a word claiming--with the modern discorders--to MAKE WAR to drive out the OWNERS in order to turn the property over to the original WAR MAKERS?

PSALLO MEANS to touch or strike
: that's it.  If you touch or pull a bow you intend to damage the literal heart.
When you psallo or TOUCH or STRIKE a harp string you produce a twanging sound: that does not mean make music.

Psallo was used to mean "play" or pluck a STRINGED instrument."  It still means to play or pluck but when used to indicate the plucking of a harp string the CONTEXT was of sexuality or perversion in the civil or pagan festivals.

To MARK those he defines, Paul placed the melody IN THE HEART and in Colossians 3 used the equivalent word with GRACE in the heart: melody and grace were qualities of speech among the civil people.

Psallô primarily to pluck a bow string to make it twang to send forth a singing arrow
When used of the strings of a musical instrument "play a stringed instrument with the FINGERS, and not with a PLECTRUM."
  1. Psallo only PERMITS plucking a string with your FINGERS:
  2. it specificially EXCLUDES plucking with a guitar pick because it is a BOW PLUCKING WORD.
  3. Psallo can NEVER mean to blow a flute, beat on percussion instruments, play a piano, play an organ or blow a trumpet.
  4. Psallo can never mean (1) sing and (2) pluck a (3) stringed instrument.  Psallo can NEVER be used of anything but a STRINGED bow or a STRINGED instrument.
If you want one word meaning to PLAY THE HARP to accompany a song the word is
Anti-Psallo A. play a stringed instrument in accompaniment of song,

But, again, you are MARKED by the psallo words just as a BEAST is defined as "a new style song or drama."
Aristophanes Birds
From within; singing.

Chase off drowsy sleep, dear companion. [210] Let the sacred hymn gush from thy divine throat in melodious strains; roll forth in soft cadence your refreshing melodies to bewail the fate of Itys, which has been the cause of so many tears to us both. [220] he gathers the choir of the gods and from their immortal lips pours forth a sacred chant of blessed voices.
So, you are STUCK with worshiping Apollo or Abaddon the HAVING FALLEN star.

Revelation marks that as the worship of the Babylonian mother of harlots in chapter 17 and calls the speakers, singers and instrument players SORCERERS.  Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees hypocrites by naming speakers, singers and instrument players in Isaiah and Ezekiel

BUT HOW ABOUT DAVID?

God abandoned the nation of Israel to worship the starry host BECAUSE of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai. When the ELDERS fired God and demanded a SENIOR PASTOR God understood that they wanted to worship like the nations.  Anyone who has read Samuel knows that God terminated His favors to the nations whater the King's Scribes wrote.
Psalmos also appears in the LXX as equivalent to the Hebrew word neginah [5058]. This Hebrew term is used to describe a wide variety of songs. Neginah is translated by psalmos in Lam 3:14 (song), in Lam 5:14 (music) and in Ps 69:12 (song). It is striking to observe that in the LXX translation of Lam 3:14 and Ps 69:12, psalmos, or its verbal form, is used for songs that are not only uninspired but are in fact the product of the wicked, even drunkards, who mocked God and His word. The Hebrew term neginah is used elsewhere in the Hebrew Scriptures of: the songs of the wicked, Job 30:9 (song); the inspired praise of God, Psalm 61 title (Neginah-a song performed on a stringed instrument); and the uninspired praisd of the Lord composed by King Hezekiah, Is 38:20 (my songs).
Lam 3:12 He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
Lam 3:13 He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.
Lam 3:14 I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.
Lam 3:15 He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.

THE PRIMARY MEANING OF PSALLO IN LATIN

Notice that words are not "defined" but show how they are used.  Psallo does not mean "play upon a stringed instrument" but means "play" or "pluck."  If you tell someone to PLAY they will think you are crazy unless they tell you WHAT to play.

Where psallo is used IN CONNECTION with an instrument ALL of the recorded examples identify pagan and often perverted people.

Psallo means to PLAY: you have to define what to play
Latin Psallo , i, 3, v. n., = ψάλλω. I. In gen., to play upon a stringed instrument; esp., to play upon the cithara, to sing to the cithara: “psallere saltare elegantius,Sall. C. 25, 2 (but in Cic. Cat. 2, 10, 23 the correct read. is saltare et cantare;

Sal. Cat. 25 In the number of those ladies was Sempronia, a woman who had committed many crimes with the spirit of a man. In birth and beauty, in her husband and her children, she was extremely fortunate; she was skilled in Greek and Roman literature; she could sing, play, and dance, with greater elegance than became a woman of virtue, and possessed many other accomplishments that tend to excite the passions. But nothing was ever less valued by her than honor or chastity. Whether she was more prodigal of her money or her reputation, it would have been difficult to decide. Her desires were so ardent that she oftener made advances to the other sex than waited for solicitation. She had frequently, before this period, forfeited her word, forsworn debts, been privy to murder, and hurried into the utmost excesses by her extravagance and poverty. But her abilities were by no means despicable; she could compose verses, jest, and join in conversation either modest, tender, or licentious. In a word, she was distinguished  by much refinement of wit, and much grace of expression.

Cic. Catil. 2.10.23 In these bands are all the gamblers, all the adulterers, all the unclean and shameless citizens. These boys, so witty and delicate, have learnt not only to love and to be loved, not only to sing and to dance, but also to brandish daggers and to administer poisons; and unless they are driven out, unless they die, even should Catiline die, I warn you that the school of Catiline would exist in the republic. But what do those wretches want? Are they going to take their wives with them to the camp? how can they do without them, especially in these nights? and how will they endure the Apennines, and these frosts, and this snow? unless they think that they will bear the winter more easily because they have been in the habit of dancing naked at their feasts. O war much to be dreaded, when Catiline is going to have his bodyguard of prostitutes!

Cicero Catiline 4. The night after the events mentioned in the argument to the preceding oration, Cicero's wife Terentia, with the vestal virgins was performing at home the mystic rites of the Bona Dea while Cicero was deliberating with his friends on the best mode of punishing the conspirators. Terentia interrupted their deliberations by coming in to inform them of a prodigy which had just happened that after the sacrifice in which she had been engaged was over the fire revived spontaneously...

Bona Dea was Eve worshipped as the mother of the gods and the mediatrix, transferred to Mary.  This also speaks of the pagan trinity of two mothers and little dumb son.  As defined more fully in Gnosticism the mother is Sophia the serpent, the daughter is Zoe as the "beast and female instructing principle" and the little dumb jehovahs or logos.

IT IS TRUE: PSALLO IN THE LATIN IS USED IN CONNECTION WITH A HARP:  Why would a shepherd allow the CERTAIN meanings which are defined for the SECULAR or pagan world?

THE ONLY WAY PSALLO IS USED IN CONNECTION WITH THE RIGHTEOUS
II. In PARTICULAR, in Ecclesiastical  Latin, to sing the Psalms of David, Hier. Ep. 107, 10; Aug. in Psa. 46; 65; Vulg. 1 Cor. 14, 15

PAUL AND THE SPIRIT HAD MANY WORDS TO INDICATE EITHER PLAYING A HARP OR SINGING WITH A HARP.

To play a harp you need the word psallo (to play) and then indicate what instrument is to be used what what melody which would have been a rhythm and not a "tune."
Each instrument was indicated by a compound word.
To play AND sing there were other COMPOUND words.
This what all historic scholarship understood

THE PRIMARY WAYS PSALLO IS USED IN GREEK
5567.  Psallo, psal´-lo; probably strengthened from yaw psao (to rub or touch the surface;
        compare 5597);  1 Ep.Cor.14.15Ps.9.12 ,
If you look up twitch you will find psallo.
And from 5597 there is no musical content but a destructive grinding to SOP.

5597.  psocho, pso´-kho; prolongation from the same base as 5567;
to triturate [to grind into a fine powder]
i.e. (by analogy) to rub out (kernels from husks with the fingers or hand): — rub.

John 13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop,
when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop,
he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
John 13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him.
Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
John 13:30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.

Ruwph (h7322) roof; a prim. root; prop. to triturate (in a mortar), i. e. (fig.) to agitate (by concussion): - tremble.

Judas was such a musician because his bag was uniquely made to carry the mouthpieces of wind instruments. The Psalmist defends this conclusion by saying:

Hereddotus 3.58. They could not understand this oracle either when it was spoken or at the time of the Samians' coming. As soon as the Samians put in at Siphnus, they sent ambassadors to the town in one of their ships; [2] now in ancient times all ships were painted with vermilion;

Why you won't get out of the marketplace to attend ekklesia in the morning or any morning. Remember that Jesus consigned the pipers, singers and dancers to the MARKETPLACE with all of the others He identified as hypocrites by naming speakers, singers and instrument players.
Aristophanes, Acharnians
[3] But the day when I was impatiently awaiting a piece by Aeschylus,[4] what tragic despair it caused me when the herald called, "Theognis,[5] introduce your Chorus!" Just imagine how this blow struck straight at my heart!

On the other hand, what joy Dexitheus caused me at the musical competition, when he played a Boeotian melody on the lyre! But this year by contrast! Oh! what deadly torture to hear Chaeris[ 6] perform the prelude in the Orthian mode! [7] --Never, however, since I began to bathe, has the dust hurt my eyes as it does to-day.

Still it is the day of assembly; all should be here at daybreak, and yet the Pnyx[8] is still deserted. They are gossiping in the marketplace, slipping hither and thither to avoid the vermilioned rope.

Note: 9 Several means were used to force citizens to attend the assemblies [ekklesia]; the shops were closed; circulation was only permitted in those streets which led to the Pnyx; finally, a rope covered with vermilion was drawn round those who dallied in the Agora (the market-place), and the late-comers, ear- marked by the imprint of the rope, were fined
So, the evidence is, as boasted, that people are dissociated by forcing them to endure music.  The purpose is that with time the deliberate mixing of God's people with the ungodly will gradually be tolerated. The person who USES music has a long list of ancestors dating back to Satan. For instance, Revelation 17 says that the end time Babylon mother of harlots will use the "lusted after fruits" as speakers, singers and instrument players.  John in Revelaiton 18 calls the sorcerers who HAD deceived the whole world.

That is the purpose driving PSALLO

[4] Such objects are to be found in virtuous deeds; these implant in those who search them out a great and zealous eagerness which leads to imitation. In other cases, admiration of the deed is not immediately accompanied by an impulse to do it. Nay, many times, on the contrary, while we delight in the work, we despise the workman, as, for instance, in the case of perfumes and dyes; we take a delight in them, but dyers and perfumers we regard as illiberal and vulgar folk. [5] Therefore it was a fine saying of Antisthenes, when he heard that Ismenias was an excellent piper: "But he's a worthless man," said he, "otherwise he wouldn't be so good a piper." And so Philip once said to his son, who, as the wine went round, plucked the strings charmingly and skilfully, "Art not ashamed to pluck the strings so well?" It is enough, surely, if a king have leisure to hear others pluck the strings, and he pays great deference to the Muses if he be but a spectator of such contests.

Heredotus Speaking of Cyrus about how to DISABLE men captured in war.

And quickly, O king, you shall see them become women instead of men,
so that you need not fear them, that they might revolt.”

YOU HAVE BEEN CUCKOLD BY YOUR PREACHER.

Aristophanes, Knights
This is what he bids us say in reply to your questions; [515] it is not without grounds that he has courted the shade, for, in his opinion, nothing is more difficult than to cultivate the comic Muse; many court her, but very few secure her favours. Moreover, he knows that you are fickle by nature and betray your poets when they grow old. [520] What fate befell Magnes, when his hair went white? Often enough had he triumphed over his rivals; he had sung in all keys, played the lyre and fluttered wings; he turned into a Lydian and even into a gnat, daubed himself with green to become a frog. All in vain! When young, you applauded him; [525] in his old age you hooted and mocked him, because his genius for raillery had gone. Cratinus again was like a torrent of glory rushing across the plain, up-rooting oak, plane tree and rivals and bearing them pell-mell in his wake. The only songs at the banquet were, [530] “Doro, shod with lying tales” and “Adepts of the Lyric Muse,” so great was his renown. Look at him now! he drivels, his lyre has neither strings nor keys, his voice quivers, but you have no pity for him, and you let him wander about as he can, like Connas, his temples circled with a withered chaplet; the poor old fellow is dying of thirst;

PSALLO: Psallo later, sing to a harp

But, a harp is never indicated in the passages where the word is used.  In fact, Psalm 7 has the MAJOR meaning of psallo being used BY GOD against false teachers.  God has bent bent and strung HIS BOW which is a sign of judgment.
Psalm 7.[11]  God is a righteous judge, Yes, a God who has indignation every day. [12]  If a man doesn't relent, he will sharpen his sword; He has bent and strung his bow. [13]  He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death. He makes ready his flaming arrows.
        [14]  Behold, he travails with iniquity;
Yes, he has conceived mischief, And brought forth falsehood.
[15]  He has dug a hole, And has fallen into the pit which he made.
[16]  The trouble he causes shall return to his own head.
His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.  [Psallo is a VIOLENCE word]
[17]  I will give thanks to Yahweh according to his righteousness,

PSALM 9: [9]  Yahweh will also be a high tower for the oppressed; A high tower in times of trouble. [10]  Those who know your name will put their trust in you, For you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
[11]  Sing praises to Yahweh, who dwells in Zion,
And declare among the people what he has done. [STUDIUM application of learning]
[12]  For he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn't forget the cry of the afflicted. [13]  Have mercy on me, Yahweh. See my affliction by those who hate me, And lift me up from the gates of death; [14]  That I may show forth all your praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in your salvation.

SALLUST All our power is situate in the mind and in the body. Of the mind we rather employ the government; of the body, the [p. 4] service. The one is common to us with the gods; the other with the brutes. It appears to me, therefore, more reasonable to pursue glory by means of the intellect than of bodily strength, and, since the life which we enjoy is short, to make the remembrance of us as lasting as possible. For the glory of wealth and beauty is fleeting and perishable; that of intellectual power is illustrious and immortal.

even as when a man well-skilled in the lyre and in song easily stretches the string about a new peg,

These men care for things like these, the lyre and song, [160] full easily, seeing that without atonement they devour the livelihood of another, of a man whose white bones, it may be, rot in the rain as they lie upon the mainland, or the wave rolls them in the sea.
He spoke, and made a sign with his brows, and Telemachus, the dear son of divine Odysseus, girt about him his sharp sword, and took his spear in his grasp, and stood by the chair at his father's side, armed with gleaming bronze.

Homer to Hermes. 4.[50] Also he put in the horns and fitted a cross-piece upon the two of them, and stretched seven strings of sheep-gut. But when he had made it he proved each string in turn with the key, as he held the lovely thing. [55] At the touch of his hand it sounded marvelously; and, as he tried it, the god sang sweet random snatches, even as youths bandy taunts at festivals. He sang of Zeus the son of Cronos and neat-shod Maia, the converse which they had before in the comradeship of love, telling all the glorious tale of his own begetting. [60] He celebrated, too, the handmaids of the nymph, and her bright home, and the tripods all about the house, and the abundant cauldrons.

Enope from Euripides, Ion singing and playing is a MARK of neglect of wife and son.
O you, who cause a voice to sing from your seven-stringed lyre, a voice that lets lovely-sounding hymns peal forth in the rustic lifeless horn, [885]  son of Leto, I will blame you before this light. You came to me, your hair glittering with gold, when I was plucking into the folds of my robe yellow flowers [890]  to bloom with golden light; grasping my white hand in yours, you led me to the bed in the cave, hearing me call on my mother, god and consort, [895]  shamelessly paying homage to Aphrodite. I, the unhappy one, bore you a son, whom in fear of my mother I placed in that bed of yours, [900]  where you joined with me, the miserable, the unfortunate one, in unhappy union. Alas! and now my son and yours, oh cruel one, is gone, torn apart, a feast for birds; [905]  but you are singing to the lyre, chanting hymns.
Iliad 9.[185] And they came to the huts and the ships of the Myrmidons, and found him delighting his soul with a clear-toned lyre, fair and richly wrought, whereon was a bridge of silver; this had he taken from the spoil when he laid waste the city of Eëtion. Therewith was he delighting his soul, and he sang of the glorious deeds of warriors; [190] and Patroclus alone sat over against him in silence, waiting until Aeacus' son should cease from singing. But the twain came forward and goodly Odysseus led the way, and they took their stand before his face; and Achilles leapt up in amazement with the lyre in his hand, and left the seat whereon he sat; [195] and in like manner Patroclus when he beheld the men uprose.

Euthydemus: Socrates 277c

[277c] is not yet having knowledge?
He agreed with him.
Then are those who receive anything those who have it already, or those who have it not?
Those who have it not.
And you have admitted that those who do not know belong also to this class of those who have it not?
He nodded assent.
And the learners belong to the class of the receiving and not to that of the having?
He agreed.
Hence it is those who do not know that learn, Cleinias, and not those who know.
Euthydemus was proceeding to press the youth for the third fall, when I,

[277d]
perceiving the lad was going under, and wishing to give him some breathing-space lest he should shame us by losing heart, encouraged him with these words: Cleinias, do not be surprised that these arguments seem strange to you; for perhaps you do not discern what our two visitors are doing to you. They are acting just like the celebrants of the Corybantic rites, when they perform the enthronement of the person whom they are about to initiate. There, as you know, if you have been through it, they have dancing and merrymaking: so here these two

[277e]
are merely dancing about you and performing their sportive gambols with a view to your subsequent initiation. You must now, accordingly, suppose you are listening to the first part of the professorial mysteries. First of all, as Prodicus says, you have to learn about the correct use of words--the very point that our two visitors are making plain to you, namely, that you were unaware that learning is the name which people apply on the one hand to the case of a man who, having originally no knowledge about some matter, in course of time receives such knowledge;

In every Greek city the god Dionysus was worshipped by fraternities and sororities and also by mixed communities. Dionysus was a god of fruitfulness and vegetation but especially of wine. The Dionysiac festivals provided an opportunity for stepping outside of the daily routine. The festivals included not only drinking wine and engaging in sexual activity but also participating in such significant features of Greek civilization as choral singing and mimes. In many cases, only the initiated could participate in the ceremonies. As almost every Greek did join in, initiation into the Dionysiac cult might be compared to tribal initiations. It seems that initiation into the Dionysiac Mysteries was accompanied by initiation into sexual life. The act of producing offspring, however, could never be wholly separated from the thought of death, so that the worshippers of Dionysus were aware of a mystic communion among the ancestors, the living generation, and the future members of the community. She said, and from her quiver chose with speed
The winged shaft, predestin'd for the deed;
Then to the stubborn yew her strength applied,
Till the far distant horns approach'd on either side.
The bowstring touch'd her breast, so strong she drew;
Whizzing in air the fatal arrow flew.
At once the twanging bow and sounding dart
shrill piping sound, hissing of a serpent, sign of derision
The traitor heard, and felt the point within his heart.
Him, beating with his heels in pangs of death,
His flying friends to foreign fields bequeath.

The welcome message to her mistress brings.

Psalmoi toxôn does not mean "sing and play a harp" WITH a bow.  Psalmoi just means pluck or twang a bow. Only in a secondary sense do we PLUCK a harp string which does not music make. Even then Psalmos is often used of evil songs.

THIS IS BASED ON THE FACT THAT THE PSALMS WERE USED TO MAKE WAR AND NOT TO MAKE WORSHIP.

Payne insists that the Hebrew of 1 Chronicles 25:1 unambiguously identifies these leaders as militarycommanders, an interpretation favoured by several Bible translations. (Payne, p 423-4; NASB, NIV, NKJV, NRSV, Jerusalem Bible) If military commanders had a particular interest in the appointment of musicians, it suggests a strong link between music and warfare

Jesus identified the MEN of that generation as CHILDREN in the marketplace piping to force others to sing or lament and dance. This was the perverted Dionysus or "old wineskin" worship practiced in Egypt onward.
It would appear to the rational that those who lie about the Scripture (they always did) in order to IMPOSE machines for doing hard work and DRIVING OUT the owners are the ones who define a test of fellowship. When none of the churches had instruments because they were informed from the Bible and all recorded history and SOME imposed instruments that meats the test of heresy or sectarianism.   When then imposed the organ over the objections of J.W.McGarvey and refused to let him preach the truth, they claimed that he became sectarian when he left the church.  The old guilt clause began with Adam.

THE TONGUES OF ANGELS

The example Jesus used inspired by the Spirit of Christ in Isaiah and Ezekiel of a HYPOCRITE and "nothing" of value identified with the Scribes and Pharisees was speakers, singers and instrument players.  Paul in 1 Corinthians will identify NOT LOVING others with the clangs and gongs of the theater, making war or witchcraft.

Almost always of charismatic music "it is the women and effeminate males who can fall into it."  Even if you could literally hear the voice of angels, because the church is a school of the Bible (Only) it would NOT be a sign of love if everyone tried to sing their own song or gibber.
Impure religion is "Threskia" which defines the music invented by Orpheus and the Lesbian women  who claimmed supernatural power by the use of his music. The New Wineskin parable or MARK of the beast.

The Mad Women in Corinth influenced by Apollo (Apollyon) but Paul said;

Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Vincent notes: Render delighting in humility. This rendering is well supported by Septuagint usage. See 1 Sam. xviii. 22; 2 Sam. xv. 26; 1 Kings x. 9; 2 Chronicles ix. 8. 200 It falls in, in the regular participial series, with the other declarations as to the vain conceit of the teachers; signifying not their purpose or their wish to deprive the Christians of their reward, but their vain enthusiasm for their false doctrine, and their conceited self-complacency which prompted them to sit as judges. The worship of angels involved a show of humility, an affectation of superior reverence for God, as shown in the reluctance to attempt to approach God otherwise than indirectly: in its assumption that humanity, debased by the contact with matter, must reach after God through successive grades of intermediate beings.
Worship Teams work great for this: it is not unloving to kick out many of the owners if some "spirit" or "angel" has told you to go all theway.
Worship of angels (qrhskeia). See on religious, Jas. i. 26. Defining the direction which their humility assumed. The usage of the Septuagint and of the New Testament limits the meaning to the external aspects of worship. Compare Acts xxvi. 5; Jas. i. 27.

"It is a great mistake to imagine that back of their idolatry and their idol sacrifices there is nothing but an empty vacuity. True enough, as 1 Cor 8:4 makes plain, the gods of the idols have no existence whatever; no being by the name of Jupiter exists, and this is true with respect to all other gods. But something does exist, something that is far more terrible than these pseudo-gods, namely an entire kingdom of darkness which is hostile to God, a host of demons or fallen angels who are ruled by the greatest of their number, namely Satan, Eph. 2:3; 6:12. "Peckham 1987:84-87: the association of Astarte with the dying god, Eshmun, may well be related to child sacrifice, as Peckham; Robertson 1982:329. GIVING YOUR BODY TO BE BURNED

Thalrgelia in Greek religion, one of the chief festivals of Apollo at Athens, celebrated on the sixth and seventh days of Thargelion (May-June). Basically a vegetation ritual upon which an expiatory rite was grafted, the festival was named after the first fruits, or the first bread from the new wheat.

On the first day of the festival, one or two men (or a man and a woman), representing the deity but also acting as scapegoats for community guilt, were first led through the city and then driven out. Occasionally, as in times of heavy calamity, they were sacrificed, being either thrown into the sea or burned on a funeral pyre. On the second day of the festival, there were a thanks offering, a procession, and the official registration of adopted persons.

"dionysus's worship is thus established by the simple means of killing the opposition. It has been suggested that every tragic hero who suffers and dies on stage at the Dionysia, the great dramatic festival at Athens (of the South?), is in fact dionysus himself, being killed."

In the Eleusian mysteries, the wine was not noted for its alcohol but for drugs perhaps from fermented barley or from mushrooms used to bring on the exhilaration. Of the priest, it is said that:

"As he performed the service, he intoned ancient chants in a falsetto voice, for his role in the Mystery was asexual, a male who had sacrificed his gender to the Great Goddess.

Hebrew Sa'ir La-'aza'zel ("goat for Azazel"), in the Old Testament ritual of Yom Kippur (Lev. 16:8-10), a goat symbolically burdened with the sins of the Jewish people. Some scholars believe that the animal was chosen by lot to placate Azazel, a wilderness demon,  then outside Jerusalem to rid the nation of its iniquities. By extension, a scapegoat has come to mean any group or individual that innocently bears the blame of others.

The use of scapegoats has a long and varied history involving many kinds of animals, as well as human beings. In ancient Greece, human scapegoats (pharmakos) were used to mitigate a plague or other calamity or even to prevent such ills. The Athenians chose a man and woman for the festival of Thargelia. After being feasted, the couple was led around the town, beaten with green twigs, driven out of the city, and possibly even stoned. In this way the city was supposedly protected from ill fortune for another year.

    Greek Religion: Popular religion flourished alongside the civic cults. Peasants worshiped the omnipresent deities of the countryside, such as the Arcadian goat-god Pan, who prospered the flocks, and the nymphs (who, like Eileithyia, aided women in childbirth) inhabiting caves, springs (Naiads), trees (Dryads and Hamadryads), and the sea (Nereids). They also believed in nature spirits such as Satyrs and Sileni and equine Centaurs. Among the more popular festivals were the rural Dionysia, which included a phallus pole;

the Anthesteria, when new wine was broached and offerings were made to the dead; the Thalysia, a harvest celebration; the Thargelia, when a scapegoat (pharmakos) assumed the communal guilt; and the Pyanepsia, a bean feast in which boys collected offerings to hang on the eiresione ("wool pole"). Women celebrated the Thesmophoria in honour of Demeter and commemorated the passing of Adonis with laments and miniature gardens, while images were swung from trees at the Aiora to get rid of an ancient hanging curse. Magic was widespread. Spells were inscribed on lead tablets. Statues of Hecate, goddess of witchcraft, stood outside dwellings, while Pan's image was beaten with herbs in time of meat shortage.

See Nadab and Abihu who did several things presumptiously and for which God imposed the SCAPEGOAT or a sacrifice to Satan to protect them after they had lost God's protection.

Because Apollo is Abaddon or Apollyon and the Muses are called Locusts as "dirty adulterers," and the burning of the scapegoat id defined as PHARMAKOS, the message of the Mother of the Babylon harlot who uses lusted after fruits as speakers, singers and instrument players in Revelation 18, John calls them SORCERERS or PHARMAKON: scapegoats FIT to be burned.

1 And Azazel [scapegoat see Nadab-Abihu] taught men to make swords, and knives, and shields, and breastplates, and made known to them the metals of the earth and the art of working them, and bracelets, and ornaments, and the use of antimony, and the beautifying of the eyelids, and all kinds of costly stones, and all

2 colouring tinctures. And there arose much godlessness, and they committed fornication, and they

In the Plague Stopping Slaughter by Hezekiah which Ronnie Norman imposes on people. the instruments of David were only used for the GOAT SACRIFICE to try to reconcile Israel.  It is probably true that the CAPPELLA or goat singers are REALLY being offered up as a sacrifice to Satan because there is no other evidence. The Beast is Pan who is pictured as the eternal enemy of the WORD. It is a fact that the Levites were made a SACRIFICIAL OFFERIING for the sins of the people

Later I thought of this clown of the flute as a grotesque modern form of the great god Pan of the forest whom the Greeks worshipped as the symbol of cosmic vitality--serene, goat-footed Pan who plays the sacred syrinx (pan pipes) in the sinking dusk and with its magic sound evokes an echo in all things: leaves and fountains shiver, the stars begin to tremble, and the shaggy goats dance at the edge of the grove. Lysias Against Andocides 6.53] 52] Moreover, transgressing the law that you made, whereby he was debarred from the temples as a reprobate, he has violated all these restrictions and has entered into our city; he has sacrificed on the altars which were forbidden him, and come into the presence of the sacred things on which he committed his impiety; he has entered into the Eleusinium, [sanctuary at Athens] and baptized his hands in the holy water.

Who ought to tolerate these doings? What person, whether friend or relation or townsman, is to incur the open enmity of the gods by showing him secret favour? You should therefore, consider that to-day, in punishing Andocides and in ridding yourselves of him,

you are cleansing the city, you are solemnly purifying it from pollution,
you are dispatching a foul scapegoat, [Pharmakos, sorcerer, magician,
criminals were reserved for this fate, ]
you are getting rid of a reprobate; for this man is all of them in one
AEGA Aega and her sister Helice nursed the infant Zeus in Crete, and the former was afterwards changed by the god into the constellation called Capella.   from each other. Her name is either connected with aix, which signifies a goat, or with aïx, a gale of wind; and this circumstance has led some critics to consider the myth about her as made up of two distinct ones, one being of an astronomical nature and derived from the constellation Capella, the rise of which brings storms and tempests (Arat. Phaen. 150), and the other referring to the goat which was believed to have suckled the infant Zeus in Crete.
Because the Christian Church under Barton W. Stone and the Reformers under the Campbells found commonality in a "back to the Bible" understanding of faith and practice. The agreement to do things together was clearly based NOT discussing doctrinal views: in the words recorded it meant NOT to add anything which had no clear Biblical command to do so. See the Basis for Unity
Ronnie Norman asks: What does the Bible say: 2 Chronicles 5, could be a performance, God, joined in one voice, sang, he is good.
I have covered the Temple Dedication where God CUT OFF access to His symbolic presence, the Word and the Mercy Seat here.

Most preachers missed the fork at the road at Mount Sinai: when they engaged in musical idolatry God turned them over to worship the starry host.  When they denounced God and demanded a human king God told them that they were beyond redemption.  When they built the temple it was NOT commanded.  You have to decide whether you want to listen to the cursed Monarch's Scribes or Christ who denounced them in the prophets.

Israel rose up to play in musical idolatry at Mount Sinai: this was the same Levite or Levius or Dionysus worship practiced in Egypt and many nations.

1 Chr 25:1  David, together with the commanders of the army, set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun for the ministry of prophesying, accompanied by harps, lyres and cymbals. Here is the list of the men who performed this service:

Payne insists that the Hebrew of 1 Chronicles 25:1 unambiguously identifies these leaders as military commanders, an interpretation favoured by several Bible translations. (Payne, p 423-4; NASB, NIV, NKJV, NRSV, Jerusalem Bible) If military commanders had a particular interest in the appointment of musicians, it suggests a strong link between music and warfare

"The Hithpa'el of nb', in the ancient texts, refers to ecstasy and delirium rather than to the emission of a 'prophecy'." (de Vaux, Roland, The Bible and the Ancient Near East, p. 243 Doubleday

"Maniac inspirations, the violent possession which threw sibyls and priestesses into contortions--the foaming lip and streaming hair and glazed or glaring eyes-- have no place in the self-controlling dignity of Christian inspiration. Even Jewish prophets, in the paroxysm of emotion, might lie naked on the ground and rave (1 Sam. xix. 24); but the genuine inspiration in Christian ages never obliterates the self-consciousness or overpowers the reason. It abhors the hysteria and stimulation and frenzy which have sometimes disgraced revivalism and filled lunatic asylums." (Pulpit Commentary, 1 Cor., p. 460).
While Ronnie Norman sides with the Kings the prophets by the Spirit of Christ called robbers and parasites, Stephen refused to follow them and preached:
    Acts 7:42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven;
as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered
to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?

After God abandoned the national leadership to worship the Starry host, and ordained the Qahal, synagogue or church in the wilderness for the spiritual people to rest, read and rehearse the Word of God, there is NOTHING in the curse of the NATIONAL sacrificial system which any honest person would try to impose on the church.
Acts 7:43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan,
figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
Acts 7:44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed,
speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
Acts 7:45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles,
            whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
Acts 7:46 Who found favour [Grace] before God, and desired
to find a tabernacle [Tent] for the God of Jacob.
Acts 7:47 But Solomon built him an house.
Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Acts 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool:
what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Acts 7:50 Hath not my hand made all these things?
Human sacrifice of infants to Molech at Jerusalem was, at times, replaced with a BURNT OFFERING.  That, too, was part of the paganism to which God had abandoned them althogh He still regulated to protect the SPIRITUAL THREAD who attended school of the Bible or synagogue beginning in the wilderness.

Why would Ronnie and Faust etal think that God was inside having what sounds like a charismatic fit of joy IF God was NOT in the house: the CLOUD meant that God "went into exile."   Because God promised a FAMILY but not a HOUSE or Temple then and now people were resisting the Holy Spirit.
Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears,
ye do always resist the Holy Ghost:
as your fathers did, so do ye.

The Cloud Ronnie Norman Etal impose as a "strong delusion"

The cloud h6051:  Does this sound like people who would steal the church house of widows and other owners to prevent them from themselves coming boldly before the throne of Grace WITHOUT viper mediators?

WHAT JESUS CAME TO DESTROY AS THE VIPER OR CROOKED GENERATION

    Hesiod, Works and Days
[180] And Zeus will destroy this race of mortal men also when they come to have grey hair on the temples at their birth. The father will not agree with his children, nor the children with their father, nor guest with his host, nor comrade with comrade; nor will brother be dear to brother as aforetime. [185] Men will dishonor their parents as they grow quickly old, and will carp at them, chiding them with bitter words, hard-hearted they, not knowing the fear of the gods. They will not repay their aged parents the cost of their nurture, for might shall be their right: and one man will sack another's city. [190] There will be no favor for the man who keeps his oath or for the just or for the good; but rather men will praise the evil-doer and his violent dealing. Strength will be right, and reverence will cease to be; and the wicked will hurt the worthy man, speaking false words against him, and will swear an oath upon them. [195] Envy, foul-mouthed, delighting in evil, with scowling face, will go along with wretched men one and all
Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this crooked generation.

Plutarch: what god is worshipped by the Jews: When all the company requested and earnestly begged it of him; first of all (says he), the time and manner of the greatest and most holy solemnity of the Jews is exactly agreeable to the holy rites of Bacchus; for that which they call the Fast they celebrate in the midst of the vintage, furnishing their tables with all sorts of fruits while they sit under tabernacles made of vines and ivy; and the day which immediately goes before this they call the day of Tabernacles.

Within a few days after they celebrate another feast, not darkly but openly, dedicated to Bacchus, for they have a feast amongst them called Kradephoria, from carrying palm-trees, and Thyrsophoria, when they enter into the temple carrying thyrsi.

What they do within I know not; but it is very probable that they perform the rites of Bacchus. First they have little trumpets, such as the Grecians used to have at their Bacchanalia to call upon their gods withal.

Others go before them playing upon harps, which they call Levites, whether so named from Lusius or Evius,--either word agrees with Bacchus.

[Bacchae: Dionysus = Bacchus = Evius = Bromius (all different names for the same god]

They called Mithridates a god, they called him their father and the preserver of Asia, they called him Evius, Nysius, Bacchus, Liber.

And I suppose that their Sabbaths have some relation to Bacchus; for even now many call the Bacchi by the name of Sabbi, and they make use of that word at the celebration of Bacchus's orgies.

And this may be discovered out of Demosthenes and Menander. Nor would it be out of place, were any one to say that the name Sabbath was given to this feast from the agitation and excitement [Greek omitted] which the priests of Bacchus display.

So in the nocturnal ceremonies of Bacchus (as the fashion is amongst us), they make use of music, and call the god's nurses

High up on the wall of their temple is a representation of the thyrsus and timbrels, which surely suits no other god than Bacchus.

With the Israelites having a TENT at a Jebusite High Place because David could never return to Gibeon to seek God, Solomon got confused and built Him a HOUSE just like the one in Tyre for the "singing and harp playing prostitute." The Scribal affirmation of the Curse of the king, kingdom, temple and pagan sacrifices DO NOT trump the prophets by the Spirit of Christ.

ACTIVELY OR PERMISSIVELY GOD AGAIN DESTROYED THE TEMPLE OF THE VIPER GENERATION

Freemasons noting that there is no evidence of a Hebrew temple in Jerusalem:

The name of Solomon is made up of the three ancient Sun names: The Roman SOL, the Hindu OM, and the Chaldeo-Egyptian ON.

1.) The founders of Jerusalem were the Turanian Hurrians. The Bible calls them Jebusites. Manetho the Egyptian priest (300 BC.) called them Royal Shepherds, he also called them Royal Scythians and Phoenices  The city which they founded was called Solyma. Alexander the Great put the world "Iero" or "Hiero" (Holy) in front of the city's name and pronounced it "Hiero-solyma". The city was called Solyma or Hierosolyma for many years. Josephus Flavius the Hebrew historian (37-100 AD.) in his writings always uses the name Solyma instead of Jerusalem. In 70 AD. when the Roman Titus destroyed the Temple and demolishing the city, the soldiers were shouting "Hierosolyma est perdita!" meaning "Hierosolyma (Jerusalem) is destroyed!"

2.) In 1,015 BC. David purchased a small part of the city of Uru-Salem from Urukhi or Uriah, king of the Jebusites. The Bible says: "and the children of Benjamin did not drive out the Jebusites that inhabited Jerusalem; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Benjamin in Jerusalem unto this day" (Judges 1:21). So, the Jebusites still dwelled Jerusalem in the 7th century AD. in the period when the Masoretic Bible was constructed. The Jebusites shared their Sun-God Temple with the Hebrews, who were worshipped Tammuz Moloch and other gods. This Temple was built on Mt .Moriah to the Jebusites' Sun-God "Nib-Utu" (Shamash)
When the MARK of the loud NOISE never called music making ONE NOTE was heard, God SHUT DOWN access to God's Grace, the Word once under the mercy seat and to God Himself: only one high priest could go before the Lord once a year. Jesus died to destroy that CURSE so that we can ALL come boldly before the throne of Grace without any pseudo-Christs claiming to "lead you into the presence of God."
King Solomon's Temple   2 Chronicles 5: was the Temple Dedication a pattern for the New Testament Church? No, God promised David a tent but Solomon built a house at a pagan site but God does not dwell in houses built by human hands.  Nor, is God worshipped by the Works of human hands.  The NACC has actively promoted Solomon's Temple Dedication animal sacrifice with loud noise as a patternism for New Testament Worship and the basis for ecumenical unity.

Second Chronicles Chapter 5. The dedication of Solomon's HOUSE is not that which God promised David as a TENT.  Even Jacob warns us not to attend the assemblies of the Levites.

2 Chronicles 29: Hezekiah's Plague stopping Animal exorcism as a political move to get the priests back to clean out the garbage in the Temple. No Levitical singer could enter any holy place without getting killed.
A shorter version called Hezekiah's Plague Stopping Animal Slaughter.
Revelation 22 is a direct parallel to the Temple Dedication Slaughter: the DOGS or cynics or the old style praise singers called sorcerers in Revelation 18 under the Mother of Harlots (Revelation 17).  The CONTRAST is that ONLY the Alpha and Omega sends His messengers to the churches to protect "speaking that which has been taught."

Revelation 22  In most of the Bible there is a clear contrast: the evil thread which began with Jacob's prophecies and warning NOT to attend the assemblies of the tribe of Levi, and a clear definition of the synagogue or Ekklesia where Jesus Christ, the Alpha and Omega provides "angels" and instructs them what to speak. Quick outtake of King Solomon's Temple.

If you are a glutton for punishment I have reviewed Lynn Anderson's list of PROOF TEXT here. This is the largest list I have found so this can be a double check if you decide to do the Judas Maneuver.  Neither Lynn Anderson or any of the false teachers bother to list  the Prophets speaking by the Spirit of Christ who radically condemn the Civil-Military-Religious complex as robbers and parasites.
All I can tell you that this band has been sent STRONG DELUSIONS and they will never recover.
Ronnie Norman was featured at Lipscomb University with others actively sowing doscord by adding instrumental music and restoring the SHEPHERDING MOVEMENT.

See the universal MARK OF THE BEAST.

See how HOLDING the harps in Revelation 5 repudiates literal instruments.  The problem was that no human could LOOSE the seals of the book: that includes preachers.  Only the Lamb of God can loose the seals. HOLDING never means playing a harp; it means A holy spirit of a mind which can understand the Word. The result is that when we let Jesus do the speaking our own spirit vibrates in harmony with God's Word which is spirit. The OPPOSITE meaning of HOLDING points to Apollo or the Devil using literal instruments to set AMBUSH.

It is not possible to judge motives but because there are always those pleading for help, it is important to speak the truth about the Bible and how it seems to be easy to adopt the CURSED THREAD of the Monarchy and fail to listen to the Spirit of Christ in all of the prophets repudiating the rituals.

A QUICK REVIEW OF RONNIE NORMAN'S discussion of GENRES of Old Testament literature. However, ALL of them radically associate musical instruments with Lucifer, warriors, exorcism animal noise makers, prostitutes or Sodomites.  He claims that he KNOWS THE BIBLE and claims that the Holy Spirit leads him (or someone) to understand the text.  He ends with a STAFF study Matthew 7 about NOT JUDGING apparently to cut off at the pass anyone who opposes his twisting of all the Bible to JUDGE others by sowing discord. We have done a quick review of Matthew 7 and it is amazing that they did not grasp that Jesus addresses the Scribes and Pharisees as religious sectarians and MARKS them as hypocrites.  Jesus markes them by pointing to Isaiah and Ezekiel who points out performance preachers, singers and instrument players: all with a sexual and mercinary connotation.

THE WARNING BY A "FIRST ALERT"

Here is a post on a forum

"I just received an email from a concerned friend at church who was telling me that there was going to be a meeting explaining how instrumental music was going to be added. May 4th is the target date. The note said that this information needed to be on the "QT" because the congregation did not know this was about to happen. There will be a meeting later this month and a DVD presentation by Rick Atchley. The minister at First Colony is not as dynamic a speaker as Rick Atchley and needs help to get this message across, because the majority of the congregation has already heard about this instrumental music service. The shepherds have become sheep! I am curious as to why the darkness! Bring this out into the light if this is good and just!. John 3 states that evil is afraid to be found out and that is why they stay in the dark.

The email said that the congregation would be completing a brief survey--I guess to determine a consensus? Is this the Oracle of Dephi technique being used on good people?
    The Shepherding Movement

The manipulation is certainly one of the brain washing techniques.  Ronnie Norman worked in Max Lucado's area to a mislead "conservative" church of Christ defining Lyn Andersons Shepherding Movement which he got from Promise Keepers and identical to the Crossroads and IOCc sect.  Music is historically just to BIND the "community church" meaning commune to the dominant tribal leader.

The real reason for the MUSIC of course is that the Community Church defined as COMMUNE will not work--as we learned in Cave Man 101--with the use of the musical prophesiers to lead you into the presence of the gods and BIND you to the AGENT of the gods.  When the Mega Church breaks down you typically have to break up into CIRCLES in smaller groups. Joseph Campbell notes that when a group loses connection to their roots they "crack away to an archaic form of superstitious tribalism."

"When tribes grew too large for effective co-operation (and inbred), they often became subdivided into smaller kinship groups (clans, sibs, gentes) which continued to regard each other as close allies. Government was exercised by individual chieftains assisted by councils of elders" (p. 26).

"In this fashion evey common tribal interest--the recurrence of the seasons, the increase of the food supply, successful hunting--was likely to become embodied

in some regularly repeated ceremony, which usually included group dancing, singing, and feasting.

Besides enabling men to express, and thereby to allay, ANGER and ANXIETY, such ceremonies also promoted tribal UNITY and strengthened the loyalty of the individual to TRIBAL TRADITION,

for the emotional excitement they aroused had the effect of breaking down the barriers between individuals

and thus fusing all tribesmen into a collective whole. Meanwhile, whole systems of magical devices were gradually elaborated." (Parkes, p. 29)

'Certain members of a tribe, marked out either by unusual skills or by some emotional abnormality, ususally became particularly adept at these operations, and gradually assumed specialized functions. RELEASED from the duty of hunting, and concentrating on the practice of MAGIC, the shaman, SORCERER, or medicine man was the world's first professional." (Parkes, H. Bamfort, of Gods and Men, p. 29).

The development both of religion and of the arts can be traced back in a continuous line to the hunting era. The group ritual of the primeval tribesmen were the origin not only of all religious ceremonial, but also of the drama and of poetry and music, while magic gave birth to the visual arts." (Parkes, Henry Bamford, On Gods and Men, p. 30).

"Awed by the mysteries of his own spirit no less than by those of nature, primitive man was likely to attribute to divine influence

any abnormal emotional state, whether above or below the usual level. Medicine men customarily went into states of trance in which they were believed to be in communication with the gods,
    and many tribes supposed
lunatics and sexual deviants to be divinely possessed.

It is an absolute certainty that all religious music was conducted by women or if males we are told that they were drunk or perverted. That is why all of the PLAY and SPORTING words in the Bible point specificially to the DOGS or Wolves which identify elders who have let the CYNICS in and who were identified by their "singing style."

All of these people read off the script suppled by the NACC most recently by David Faust promoting UNITY and USING a few dupes.  Ronnie is simply following in the steps of the small band: Milton Jones, Chris Seidman, Max Lucado, Rick Atchley and Mark Henderson. They all use the same words.  This movement was finally brought to a head when they discovered that literate Bible students could not be SEDUCED.

This began with a secret agenda to restructure all churches of Christ into Christian Churches.  It has features lots of help by once-Christian universities, the Tulsa Soulstealing Workshop, the Jubilee and other programmed effort to slowly "boil the frog" and make the Church of Christ members feel evil for following the Bible and all of church history in rejecting "machines for doing hard work" which John identifies as SORCERERS using "lusted after fruits" under the Mother of Harlots (Rev 17-18)

To their credit out of over 13,000 congregations the have SEDUCED none but the congregations of that band of merry men who started the massive sowing of discord to steal the church houses of widows."
This email was sent to the FCCC members mailing list on 4/25/08:
This Sunday I Start A Two Week Series Called “Music Matters” And We Will Ask For Your Feedback Next Sunday, May 4… I plan to talk very openly about our musical heritage in the churches of Christ (much of which is so very positive).
We’ll bathe this discussion in the light of scripture and ask for your prayers.
[This will be a bath of 100% lying about the cursed Monarchy Scribes while they are not even aware that only the PROPHETS by the Spirit OF Christ defined the church and  repudiated the king-priests-and Levites as robbers and PARASITES]
Last summer & fall, all the elders began to study, reflect, discuss and pray about asking the church to consider offering well-done, tasteful, live instrumentation in one of our worship services and if so, when should that service be offered. By “well-done” I mean a service where the instrumentation complements rather than overwhelms and where participatory singing remains a high value.

Bottom line: all the elders felt fine about allowing a service with live instrumentation (but only if well-done and only if a strong exclusively acappella presence continues in other services) and we’ve even talked about some possible specifics with one another and our deacons. However, the reality is we are not married to anything specific regarding dates and times. We have certainly given this some thought but nothing is set in stone. We are not even married to offering an instrumental service. But we are married to a clear and open process where we ask the entire church to consider the possibility of live instrumentation in one of the worship services of our church family. We ask you to consider this through a process of evaluating scripture, praying for God’s leading, considering one another, and providing feedback.

Specifically, on Sunday May 4 we will ask you to fill out a brief survey telling us your perspectives regarding “church music”. That survey will also be available on-line and here’s what it will do: it will help us know more accurately where we are as a church family and what you think. When it comes to even considering any kind of transition in our church culture, our elders will move slowly & gently and will provide time for study, evaluation, prayer and dialog. I’m looking forward to presenting these two messages and I hope you’ll be encouraged.

That means the DECISION has been made and the honorable elders have agreed to resign rather than toss the discorders out.  Here is the survey and you will note the high pressure used on the options:
Notice: here is how WE want you to vote:
After much study and prayer, we are asking the church to consider the use of tasteful, live musical instrumentation in one of the worship services in our church family. We are not asking you to attend an instrumental service but to allow it for others. We have no desire to transition all services to instrumental. We want to know your perspectives. Please complete the confidential survey below for your elders. Thank you
    1. My preference is instrumental and I would often attend the instrumental service
    2. I enjoy both acappella and instrumental and would attend either
    3. My preference is acappella but I can allow an instrumental option for others
    4. My choice is acappella and I do not believe that an instrumental option should be offered to others.
    Shouldn't the question be:
    • Do you believe that the preacher has the authority to intimidate the elders into doing something contrary to the founding principles of the owners?
    • Do you think elders have the authority to teach that which is REJECTED by the Bible and church history.
    • Or, do you believe that the 2,000 year old history of not using machines in worship should continue?
    • Or, do you believe that Jesus exampled, Paul commanded and the church practiced vocal teaching one another in Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs?
    • Or, if you PREFER using instruments and cannot worship without them would you consider buying your own building and NOT deliberately sow discord.
You must understand that the MOTIVE of the Shepherding movement--at any level--is to seek out and collect information about anyone foolish enough to "confess" or be held "accountable." Erasmus wrote a wonderful piece on the CONFESSIONAL which was and is always a way to find that HIDDEN sin and use it to blackmail elders and others who stand in their way into silence.

SOME FEEDBACK WHERE YOU MAY SHARE YOUR VIEWS:

"I have been involved with what has happened at several churches, not all are Churches of Christ, and there are some very familiar similarities to what has happened at First Colony Church of Christ. What is happening is a programmed change. There are specific guidelines on how to make changes and when to “back off” the pace of the changes. If you are in the know you will know that specific aspects of the way we do ‘church’ has changed and some changes are still coming and will be rolled out as the congregation can accept the change. When Ronnie started sitting down to do his sermon last year (which is fine), was that due to his health condition or was that because of coaching from an external source? When the children’s classes started having Guitar players sing children’s songs to them while they were in Sunday school and the players quickly exit before the parents picked them up, (Are parents aware what is going on? I wasn’t) was that not a change that the community church has facilitated? If you are interested in what I am suggesting, read the article about what happened to Madison church of Christ. That article was posted in 2002 and the path that man describes is similar to the one First Colony is on.

What I am concerned with is the method and the time line, which suggest an agenda.

One question: How could 28 elders that grew up in the Church of Christ, several were very conservative, agree on overturning such historically controversial issues? This is where I believe the “darkness” exists. I see the Delphi technique being administered. As warm and friendly as surveys and polls of the congregation seem, they have a purpose. I will cut and paste a definition here: If your not familiar with what it is - it is a manipulative method used by Governments, Organizations and Unions to cause a ‘pre-selected outcome' at a meeting, event, or function. Its usage is also implemented in any on line instrument such as a chat room, forum or newsgroup that has 'Moderators.'

Darkness! I think there has been some planning since 1999! Planning that has included deception of a lot of people. A lot of people at church are broken hearted and hurting and somehow changing the way we do a service helps! I think the Bible is speaking to First Colony church in Revelation 3:14. You know the riches people on the earth are not the people that have the most, but the people that need the least.

One last thing, I sat in the audience at Rick Atchley’s church for six years. He could inspire people to get out on a Sunday afternoon for weeks and help widows with their needs—and it was not a church program it was people doing what they felt they needed to do. It was not a habitat for humanity, it was people wanting to develop relationships with each other and work for good. I have witnessed his dynamic, change a great church and turn it downward into what it is now!

The Delphi technique is named after the Oracle of Delphi: this was the "seeker center" of Apollo who is the Abaddon or Apollyon (Satan) in the book of Revelation.  It was from her that the girl with he divining spirit of Pythian spirit Paul cast out.

HERE IS WHAT JOHN WARNED ABOUT:

Rev. 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev. 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev. 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

HERE IS THE MARK OF THE OPERATIVES:

Rev. 18:14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all

THUS hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit. Amos 8:1

And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the Lord unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more. Amos 8:2

    A basket:
    Keluwb
(h3619) kel-oob'; from the same as 3611; a bird-trap (as furnished with a clap-stick or treadle to spring it); hence a basket (as resembling a wicker cage): - basket, cage.

As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. Je.5:27

Keleb (h3611) keh'leb; from an unused root mean. to yelp, or else to attack; a dog; hence (by euphemism) a male prostitute: - dog.

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly [multitude, swarm] of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. Ps.22:16

Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Is.56:11

    Rev. 18:22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone [prostitute] shall be heard no more at all in thee;
Rev. 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee:
            for thy merchants were the great men of the earth;
for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
Rev. 18:24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

DON'T LET SATAN SNUFF OUT YOUR CANDLESTICK: THERE IS NO LAW OF GIVING TO BE AN ENABLER.

The present major HANDLER using dupes is David Faust of the NACC.  David was invited by an "insider" at Freed Hardeman University to speak of "unity." Of course, David unleashed his who "white paper" full of "black lies" which was published and used to fool churches of Christ. They all lie about the Old Testament.  You may plow through the rebuttal by clicking here.

King-Priest-Temple system as robbers and PARASITES. Musical Instruments are THE MARK of those who have decided to "shut God's face."  Therefore, you are following the 666 pattern of Chiun and Molech which is the PATTERNISM of burning infants God used as a type of Hell where He will beat his enemies there with wind, string and percussion instruments Lucifer--the singing and harp playing prostitute--brought into the garden to wholly seduce Eve.

Timeline leading up to the old Shepherding, Crossroads or International Church of Christ takeover.

I was asked to look at the "leadership" structure and comment:

Ronnie Norman is our Senior Minister. Ronnie's gifts of preaching and providing leadership to the church family continue to be a catalyst for effective ministry. Serving the church since 1985, Ronnie is the only Senior Minister in the history of First Colony. 1985 is about the time a small band of merry men concocted their plan and made masterful use of Machiavelli and Mein Kampf.

Ronnie Norman became a Directing elder in 2004

A nasty conflict of interest. The Astrix denotes the older, original elders which existed before the planned conversion to a Shepherding movement

    Dates they became elders: 2007, 2005, 2001, 1992, 2007, 2007, *1996, 2005, 2007, *1987, 2007, 2005, *1991, 2007, 2001, 2007, ronnie 2004, 2005, 2005, 2005, *1991, 2007, *1991, 2005, 2005, 2005, 2007

You have a brand new CROP and THAT is part of the Purpose Driven scam.

Shepherding elders have been well defined by men like Rubel Shelly as SHEPHERDING THE MINISTER "who by training and charisma is best suited to be THE leader." By working with the deacons and staff you can see that you have been transistion from a Scriptural church of Christ where the elders are the TOTAL overseers and feeders of the flock who are named along with the deacons. This was charted by Rick Atchley using the PYRAMID because the NEW INSTITUTE is a virtual ziggurat or Tower of Babel where the agent of the gods sits up on top where the collection plate is located. The slaves sing and play instruments on their way to "lay by in store" being told that they will meet the gods or angels ascending and descending. The Mother of Harlots lives again.

Lynn Anderson used some slick willie pressure to get a very conservative eldership to permit him to hold

    http://www.piney.com/Anderson-Shepherds.html

This was San Antonio June 19-21, 2003, so you can see that an OVERPOWERING crop of new elders undoubtedly infused by Ronnie Norman was just in time to "start boiling the frogs" because deception takes time and lots of planning. The SHEPHERDING elders will be the ones in contact and the old faithful elders have been KICKED UPSTAIRS.

I quote: "The first annual National Shepherd's Clinic will be held in San Antonio June 19-21, 2003 at Northside Church of Christ. Join me and hundreds of other church leaders for two rich days: Shepherding skills, Case studies from churches in transition, Moving from control to empowerment, Litigation-proofing your church....
In the Purpose Driven Cult "litigation" includes how to forge your bylaws so that when YOU steal the property the OWNERS cannot steal it back.

    "The sessions addressed Transitioning:
Transition n 1: the act of passing from one state or place to the next [syn: {passage}] 2: an event that results in a transformation [syn: {conversion}, {changeover}] 3: a change from one place or state or subject or stage to another 4: a musical passage moving from one key to another [syn: {modulation}] 5: a passage that connects a topic to one that follows
Moving church leadership style from a Managing Board to a Shepherd's Circle of shepherding, mentoring and equipping. The agenda featured eight case studies from congregations at one stage or another along "Transition Trail" -- sharing both successes and difficulties.

Now you know that the old Managing Board has been usurped by a "Shepherd's Circle of Shepherding." Old Lynn lifts lots of stuff directly from Wicca or Witchcraft "patternism."
1 Cor. 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast,
unmoveable, alway abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

    G277 ametakinētos am-et-ak-in'-ay-tos From G1 (as a negative particle) and a derivative of G3334 ; immovable:—unmovable
G3334 metakineō met-ak-ee-nah'-o From G3326 and G2795 ; to stir to a place elsewhere, that is, remove (figuratively):—move away.
G2795 kineō kin-eh'-o From κίω kiō (poetic for [ εἶμι eimi to go]); to stir (transitively), literally or figuratively:—(re-) move (-r), way.

Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death,
to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Col 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled,
and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel,
            which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven;
            whereof I Paul am made a minister;
Rev. 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen,
and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly,
and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Rev. 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
    PATTERNISM OF PERFIDITY.

1985 marks the time when a small group banded together to transition YOUR church property away from you and turn it into what Lynn Anderson clearly defines as a Shepherding Cult.

1999 Comment from an observer or Rick Atchley total defection:
The email has been prolific with one more topic that has been stated by an elder, “our church will be more market driven”. Truly that would not trump a Faith driven church. Please once again Google “Market Driven Church”. A minister from a Bible church in Illinois described it best. I believe the minister’s last name is Gilley. I do not know if the elder is researching what he is saying about ‘market driven’ or if it just a buzz word that has no meaning to him.

Here is how the Delphi technique works (and boy its effective). It is based upon the Hegelian Dialectic of creating ones own opposition in order to manipulate that opposition to a unified consensus. One exposing document from the Education Reporter accurately describes it:

In group settings, the Delphi Technique is an unethical method of achieving consensus on controversial topics. It requires well-trained professionals, known as "facilitators" or "change agents," who deliberately escalate tension among group members, pitting one faction against another to make a preordained viewpoint appear "sensible,” while making opposing views appear ridiculous.
    A. This is well documented perfectly by Hitler in Mein Kampf who used the word SEEKER.
    B. Here is where Hitler insisted that WE must SET ASIDE ALL DIVIDING FACTORS.
    C. How THE leader must use Psychology and Propaganda had to run far in advance of organization and provide it with the human material to be worked on.
    D. And don't forget the OCCULTIC view of the Volkish community.   This will define the Promise Keepers SHEPHERDING which Lynn Anderson is promoting. Don't forget that Max Lucado was a Vice President and promoter of the CULT.
2003 Teaching others by CASE STUDIES about how to TRANSISTION your church.
2004 Ronnie Norman gets to be a Directing Elder
Chris Seidman had turned the trick: they wrote a white paper filled with black lies and dared me to refute. I did.
Max Lucado had a VISION to remove CHRIST out of the way and ADD instruments: you understand just soft strings in maybe a class room. Lies. Wrote out his vision which parallels Chris Seidman which parallels the script handed to them by the NACC.
Rick Atchley--college roomie of Max--went next. The Holy Spirit guarded, guided and directed to do his sermons: all lies and the same script.
Mark Henderson was the next one to get goosed: same lies with Atchley's CD."
Having figured the LOSSES as acceptable in
2008 Ronnie Norman STACKS THE DECK and goes with the long-planned flow

Lynn Anderson's Shepherding Movement: DON'T JOIN ANY CIRCLES!

Lynn Anderson: Accountability Group (no more than 3) What are some good questions to ask each time 2 or 3 of us men meet to hold each other accountable. What are the do's and don'ts of such a commitment...size limits...suggestions for such a commitment. If women want to do this, what accountability questions would be asked in this case? Your ideas and experiences and suggested resources please. We are ministers wanting to lead holy lives before our community in the hope that we may have opportunities to minister and teach.

Maybe something I say about this can be of help.
I think we all know that accountability is an essential part of Christianity in that we are to help each other grow and become sharpened as iron sharpens iron.

Accountability questions need to be positive focused, direct, and geared toward motivating people to grow.

This type of accountability can be hard but it is where people really grow. Especially us ministers have a hard time admitting our faults for fear of discovery and losing our jobs and/or reputations. The end result is that many of us live double lives with secret sin being our second god that we worship when no one else is looking.

Obviously in some cases this deeper type of accountability is only appropriate within all male or all female groups.

Accountability groups only work when there is trust and openness. This may take a while to develop.

Give it time and START SLOW until you feel that your relationship can progress into these more INTIMATE areas.

Here's the list from Steve Farrar's "Point Man" (Promise Keepers)

    1. Have you been with a woman this week in such a way that was inappropriate or could have looked to others that you were using poor judgment?

    2. Have you been completely above reproach in all your financial dealings this week?
    3. Have you exposed yourself to any explicit material this week?
    4. Have you spent daily time in prayer and in the Scriptures this week?
    5. Have you fulfilled the mandate of your calling this week?
    6. Have you taken time off to be with your family this week?
    7. Have you just lied to me?

As implemented OPERATIVES claim to use violence on non-conformers: nothing more violent than lying to steal the church house of widows.

Actually, Hope Network Ministries exists to coach, mentor and equip spiritual leaders. For that reason we do not use our web site to process doctrinal issues, denominational peculiarities or personalities.

Rather we use this forum to encourage christian leaders, share ministry resources, coach and respond to questions regarding strategies, systems, skills etc. - things of this nature.

I will add notes to prove that all of these people are deliberately lying about all of the "instrument" passages in the Bible and known history. They are RESTORING the Monarchy thread of the sacrificial system which God imposed as a curse because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai.
