Whatever interferes with preaching or reading the Word and listening to that Word is outlawed. A. The Majority View
The discussion presented here represents the view of a majority of your elders. These views are not based merely on opinion, but are based on study, reading from a number of experts on both sides of the issue and prayer for God to lead us to and convict us of His will for Skillman.
God has fully expressed Himself: you MAY be listening in a echo chamber. It seems clear that the PURPOSE DRIVEN goal will be reached even if you have to do what all of the musical discorders: deliberately lie about God and to God and put a twisted vision into His mind.

Your only choice is to decide to EXCISE all of Paul's writings as many of Dwight's fellow preachers have done in order to JUST PREACH JESUS and the "GOSPEL." Paul's doubtful disputations is outlawed in Romans 14 before the "synagogue" is defined in Romans 15 which EXCLUDES everything but speaking "that which is written." There were no revealing prophets in Corinth: prophesying was speaking the Word of God. The hymn celebrated the sufferings and actions of the god in a style corresponding to the passionate character of his worship. In the course of time it developed into a distinct kind of Greek lyric poetry.
