John T. Willis is a Theologian and Anti-Biblical. Revelation 17 The Babylonian Mother of Harlots

Rev. 17:5 And upon her FOREHEAD was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

John T. Willis: At the Highland Church of Christ, a faithful Christian woman who studied the Bible very carefully,         TAUGHT the elders at Highland that THIS TRADITIONAL view was far from the truth of the Bible.
She cited numerous texts in the Bible that the Holy Spirit works in our lives
just as MUCH as he did in the first century.

Slowly, but surely, the whole church listened and learned
and changed our position FOR THE GOOD

This was a VERY IMPORTANT truth. Unfortunately, many of the issues
which we used to think were very important were insignificant,
to say the least, as future blog will point out.
If ANYONE studies the Bible,
it will become clear that the Holy Spirit not only exists,
but is very ALIVE and important in the lives of individuals and the church.

John 6:62 What and if ye shall see the SON OF MAN ascend up where he was before?
John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
        they are
SPIRIT, and they are LIFE.
John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

His Name is Jesus of Nazareth:

1Cor. 15:45 And so it is written,
        The first man Adam was made a living soul;
the last Adam was made a QUICKENING SPIRIT.

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another [in another form] COMFORTER

that he may abide with you for ever;

John 14:17 Even the Spirit OF truth; whom the WORLD cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him:

but ye know him; for HE DWELLETH WITH YOU
you, and shall be IN you.

John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am IN my Father, and ye IN me, and I IN you.
1John 2:1 Ά My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an ADVOCATE

with the Father, JESUS CHRIST the righteous:

1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that WE KNOW HIM,
IF we keep his commandments.

1John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1John 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that WE ARE IN HIM.
1John 2:6 He that saith he ABIDETH IN him ought himself also so to WALK, even as he walked
1Tim. 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved,  [KEPT SAFE]

1Cor. 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches:
        for it is not permitted unto them to speak;
but they are commanded to be under obedience,
        as also saith the law.
1Cor. 14:35 And if they will LEARN any thing,

For it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

And lofty heav'ns derive their glorious birth;

In the note to Hercules it appears that RHEA is one of the progeny of the intellectual EARTH, resident in Phanes; and from the note to Hymn 5, to Protogonus, we learn from Proclus, that Phanes is to be considered in the intelligible as well as in the intellectual orders. Hence Rhea is, with perfect agreement to the Orphic theology, the daughter of Protogonus, considered as subsisting among the intelligible Gods.

JEANENE P. REESE Adam became subject to the soil from which he had been taken.
Eve became subject to Adam from whom she had been taken. . . .

As a result of Satan’s work man was now master over woman,
just as the MOTHER-ground was now master over
man.

For these reasons it is proper to regard both male dominance and death as being antithetical to God’s original intent in creation.

1 According to Hesiod (Hes. Th. 126ff.), Sky (Uranus) was a son of Earth (Gaia), but afterwards lay with his own mother and had by her Cronus, the giants, the Cyclopes, and so forth

Gaea, also called Ge,  Greek personification of the Earth as a goddess. Mother and wife of Uranus (Heaven), from whom the Titan Cronus, her last-born child by him, separated her, she was also mother of the other Titans, the Gigantes, the Erinyes, and the Cyclopes (see giant; Furies; Cyclops).

[35] But why all this about oak or stone?1 Come you, let us begin with the Muses who gladden the great spirit of their father Zeus in Olympus with their songs, telling of things that are and that shall be and that were aforetime with consenting voice.

Before this man an extraordinary band of women slept, seated on thrones.
No! Not women, but rather Gorgons I call them; and yet I cannot compare them to forms of Gorgons either. Once before I saw some creatures in a painting,2 [50] carrying off the feast of Phineus; but these are wingless in appearance, black, altogether disgusting; they snore with repulsive breaths, they drip from their eyes hateful drops; their attire is not fit to bring either before the statues of the gods or into the homes of men. [55] I have never seen the tribe that produced this company, nor the land that boasts of rearing this brood with impunity and does not grieve for its labor afterwards.
terra
B.Personified, Terra, the Earth, as a goddess; “usu. called Tellus, Magna Mater, Ceres, Cybele, etc.: jam si est Ceres a gerendo, Terra ipsa dea est et ita habetur: quae est enim alia Tellus?

The especial worship of Cybele was conducted by emasculated priests called Galli (or, as in vv. 12 and 34, with reference to their physical condition, Gallζ). Their name was derived by the ancients from that of the river Gallus, a tributary of the Sangarius, by drinking from which men became inspired with frenzy (cf. Ov. Fast. 4.361ff.).

The worship was orgiastic in the extreme, and was accompanied by the sound of such frenzy-producing instruments as the tympana, cymbala, tibiζ, and cornu, and culminated in scourging, self-mutilation, syncope from excitement. and even death from hemorrhage or heart-failure

The early connection of Attis with the Mother of the Gods seems to point to the association of an original male element with an original female element as the parents of all things. But in the age of tradition Attis appears as a servant instead of an equal, and the subordination of the male to the female element is further emphasized by the representation of Attis, like the Galli of historic times, as an emasculated priest.

1.Timothy.2.Women.Produce.Wrath.html

"The physiological act of sex and orgasm not only greatly enhances the prospects, but also fires up further excitement.

"Repeatedly induced states of orgasmic collapse can produce, and have been used to produce, states of deep trance."

This is precisely the sexual purpose of an orgy as religious rite, and, in part, what the Greek God APOLLO fed CYPARISSUS in the wilds. The orgia, from which our word orgy is derived, of THE MYSTERY RELIGIONS of DIONYSOS and his homosexual SATYRS, were (in addition to the magic mushrooms and other psychoactive potions) rituals of this kind.

This is an appropriate response to God if the church is on that crest.
It is inappropriate if it is
whipped up or if the focal point is on the dance rather than on true jubilation in the Lord.

Expression then moves to a zenith, a climatic point, not unlike physical lovemaking (doesn't Solomon use the same analogy in the Song of Songs?). We have expressed what is in our hearts and minds and bodies,

and now it is time to wait for God to respond. Stop talking and wait for him to speak, to move. I call this, the fourth phase, visitation: The almighty God visits his people.

THE STATED PURPOSE OF CHARISMATIC (GENDER-TINDER) WORSHIP IS UNDERSTOOD

Worship.Androgyny.The.Pagan.Sexual.Ideal.html

The first major line of evidence involves group sex in cultic contexts. Originally, an orgia  [Wrath in 1 Timothy 2]was a religious rite in honor of the god of wine, Dionysos, called Bacchus by the Romans.[5] Because the god’s ceremonies were held at night and in secret, it is unclear just what went on at these gatherings, though we know that they were originally exclusively attended by women and were said to culminate in ecstatic revelries. During the early second century BC, popular rites associated with the worship of Bacchus spread throughout Italy attended by both men and women simultaneously, which was a novelty. In 186 BC, a scandal broke out of such magnitude that the Roman Senate itself became involved. Livy, the tutor to the emperor Augustus’ grand-nephew and one of the most eminent of all Roman historians, describes the problem in book 39.8 of his Ab Urbe Condita.

This is the message of Paul in Romans 14: The pattern was to outlaw such self-pleasure (rhetorid-music-scenic] to enable the UNISION speaking of "that which is written for our learning."

The Beast: thēreutēs deinos
. “A mighty hunter,” a very Nimrod. For the notion of the chase in erotics, cp. the use of helein and diōkein in 182 E, etc., and of thēra in Soph. 222 D tōn erōntōn thēra (cp. thērōmai in Isocr. Hel. 219 D):

When (the orgy-goers) were heated with wine and the nightly commingling of men and women, those of tender age with their seniors, had extinguished all sense of modesty, debaucheries of every kind commenced; each had pleasures at hand to satisfy the lust he was most prone to. Nor was the mischief confined to the promiscuous intercourse of men and women; false witness, the forging of seals and testaments, and false informations, all proceeded from the same source, as also poisonings and murders of families where the bodies could not even be found for burial. Many crimes were committed by treachery; most by violence, which was kept secret, because the cries of those who were being violated or murdered could not be heard owing to the noise of drums and cymbals.[6]

The Babylon Mother of Harlots uses lusted after clergy as singers, instrument players, any religious craftsperson clearly defined as a PARASITE. Why women and men now say WE WILL NOT LEARN IN SILENCE. Jo Bass on The Holy Spirit and I informed John T. Willis. Like all peophe who make merchandise of a Holy God, John T. Willis gets it wrong ALL of the time.   All sowing of discord came out of Highland. Here is an example of how John T. Willis teaches:

John.T.Willis.and.Jo.Bass.The.Holy.Spirit.html

John T. Willis: Whether this is the correct interpretation or not,
Exod 15:19-21 shows that Miriam was a prophetess,
and that she called on her fellows to praise God
in song to celebrate his victory over the Egyptians.
In harmony with this portrait of Miriam, “the Prophet Micah (6:4) regards her
        as a divinely commissioned leader
alongside Moses and Aaron during the wilderness journey.”1

"The Lord spoke through her just as he spoke through Moses and Aaron (Num 12:2)."

Num. 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
Miriam one of the Thus Saith the LAW . In ALL of the women silent passages, Women then and now claimed that they uniquely spoke FOR the Gods.
Num. 12:2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses?
hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.
Num. 12:3 (Now the man Moses was very meek,
above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
Num. 12:4 And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron,
and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation.
        And they three came out.
Num. 12:5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud,
and stood in the door of the tabernacle,
and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
Num. 12:6 And he said, Hear now my words:
If there be a prophet among you,
I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision,
and will speak unto him in a dream.

SPIRIT is figurative or a Parable to hide from all wise clergy. It is ALWAYS in the form of God puts His WORDS into the MOUTH of a Moses, the prophets and the MAN Christ Jesus for the LAST TIME.
Num. 12:7 My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house.
Num. 12:8 With him will I speak MOUTH TO MOUTH
even apparently, and not in dark speeches; a
nd the similitude of the LORD shall he behold:
wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
Num. 12:9 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
Num. 12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle;
and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow:

John T. Willis Thinks that a usurping women who wants to speak FOR God is YOUR PATTERN. He backes it up by quoting Micah and claims that this VALIDATES his CONTRADICTION in the face of God.

Mic. 6:2 Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD’S controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth:
for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.
Mic. 6:3 O my people, what have I done unto thee?
and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.
Mic. 6:4 For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt,
        and redeemed thee out of the house of servants;
and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
Mic. 6:5 O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted,
and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; t
hat ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.
Mic. 6:6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God?
shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

Mic. 6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,
or with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
shall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
Mic. 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever commanded a DAY for worship.
It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever commanded any action by the hands of men as worship.
It is a STRONG DELUSION to claim that Jesus died in vain unable to "supply all that applies to life and godliness."
It is a STRONG DELUSION that God ever authorized ANY FUNDING for any STAFF to ride on the backs of widows
It is a STRONG DELUSION to claim that God commanded SINGING with or without a Mechanical Device.
It is a STRONG DELUSION and a LIE that there is a Law of Tithing or a Law of Giving

Worship is always defined as the most humble approach often FALLING ON YOUR FACE.  That is the meaning of worship.  Reverence and Godly fear recognizes that  GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.  WORSHIP is IN the Spirit or WITH the spirit giving attention to TRUTH, the Word, Logos, Regulative Principle outlawing any works with the hands of men.

Theologians being supported claim that Jesus and others were LYING. Jesus defined Holy Scripture as the Prophets and Prophecies CONCERNING ME.  One such message claimed to be but into the MOUTH of Isaiah.

The serpents, however, of the magicians-(that is,) the gods of destruction-withstood the power of Moses in Egypt, but the rod of Moses reduced them all to subjection and slew them. This universal serpent is, he says, the wise discourse of Eve. This, he says, is the mystery of Edem, this the river of Edem;
this the mark that was set upon Cain,
that any one who findeth him might not kill him. This, he says, is Cain, [Gen. iv. 15] whose sacrifice [Gen. iv. 5. ] the god of this world did not accept.

Theophilus to Autolycus

This Eve, on account of her having been in the beginning deceived by the serpent, and become the author of sin, the wicked demon, who also is called Satan, who then spoke to her through the serpent, and who works even to this day in those men that are possessed by him, invokes as Eve.58 And he is called "demon" and "dragon," on account of his revolting from God. For at first he was an angel. And concerning his history there is a great deal to be said; wherefore I at present omit the relation of it, for I have also given an account of him in another place.

58 Referring to the bacchanalian orgies in which " Eva " was shouted, and which the Fathers professed to believe was an unintentional invocation of Eve, the authoress of all sin.

The word "abomination" is also key to understanding the context. In Hebrew, the word "to 'evah," (abomination) is almost invariably linked to idolatry. In the passages from which both verses are taken, God tells Moses to tell the people not to follow the idolatrous practices of the people around them, people who sacrificed their children to Molech, or who masturbated into the fire to offer their semen to Molech, for example. Chapter 20 starts off with the same warning.

"To 'evah" also means "something which is ritually unclean."
But also, concerning music, some have fabled that Apollo [Abaddon, Apollyon]  was the inventor, and others say that Orpheus discovered the art of music from the sweet voices of the birds. Their story is shown to be empty and vain, for these inventors lived many years after the flood. And what relates to Noah, who is called by some Deucalion, has been explained by us in the book before mentioned, and which, if you wish it, you are at liberty to read.

The serpents, however, of the magicians-(that is,) the gods of destruction-withstood the power of Moses in Egypt, but

"At the Highland Church of Christ, a faithful Christian woman who studied the Bible very carefully,
TAUGHT the elders at Highland that THIS TRADITIONAL view was far from the truth of the Bible.
She cited numerous texts in the Bible that the Holy Spirit works in our lives
just as much as he did in the first century.

Slowly, but surely, the whole church listened and learned and changed our position FOR THE GOOD. "

The SPIRIT produces WORDS: When Jesus spoke those WORDS He said that they ARE Spirit and LIFE. The Shepherdess didn't read Scripture but a Baptist Preacher attack upon E. R. Harper to drive him out. She did what Paul warned against when women claim to have supernatural guidance and can intimidate males though university professors are Bible Illiterate.

Why would it take a committee to determine what Scripture OUTLAWS for BOTH male and female. Willis thinks that NEITHER male nor female means BOTH. However, the context is that we all have one father or TEACHER. Both male and female are to sit down and shut up other than the Jesus-Like reader who follows the eternal plan to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for doctrine and comfort.

A Church of Christ is built upon or educated by the Prophets and Apostles: John T. Willis and disciples are NEITHER. Peter said that what Jesus revealed from the prophets is not to be "private interpreted" or further expounding: this would despise God THE Spirit and His revelation only through Jesus.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep MY commandments.
John 14:16 And I will pray the Father,

"The chant of ancient Hebrews was rhythmical, but probably free of fixed meter. Perhaps the only exceptions were the dancing songs of women, usually accompanied by percussion instruments." (Interpreters Dictionary of the Bible, p. 466).

"While the Greek and Roman songs were metrical, the Christian psalms were anitphons, prayers, responses, etc., were unmetrical; and while the pagan melodies were always sung to an instrumental accompaniment, the church chant was exclusively vocal" (Edward Dickinson, History of Music, p. 54).

"All the music employed in their early services was vocal, and the rhythmic element and all gesticulation were forbidden" (Frank L. Humphreys, The Evolution of Church Music, p. 42).

"One of the developments in which Beza was of great assistance was in Reformed psalmody. Zwingli had opposed music in public worship and it was a century or so after his death before the Reformed Churches in which his influence was strong departed from that precedent. Calvin did not go as far as Zwingli, but confined the use of music to congregational singing in unison of metrical versions of the Psalms and Canticles." (Kenneth Latourette, p. 760).

John T. Willis Promotes Instrumental Music: noted of men who are Drunk, perverted or just having fun. That is what the MEN Jesus called BOYS were doing when they exposed Jesus' nakedness and mocked Him with instrumental sounds. This is defined as the Abomination of Desolation in Deuteronomy speaking of the Instrumental-Trinitarian-Perverted PLAY at Mount Sinai. God turned them over to worship the Starry Host whose king over the Muses or Locusts or Dirty Adulteresses is Apollon-Abaddon.  This is the meaning of the Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned Levites SERVICE,.

I have tried to respond to each of John T. Willis things which HE and the self-elected elders and STAFF have decided can be done by WOMEN in what the scholars laughingly call a WORSHIP SERVICE.  I will post the more extensive research into the REAL literature not available at the stolen once-Christian Bible colleges.  You might conclude that the new theologians cannot read the text at any level but Paul warned that the goal may be more sinister.

Jesus said that the kingdom does not come to such observations but is WITHIN US.  That's why men and women are silenced so that "we might all be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth." People can write encyclopedias calling Paul a liar and miss that clear reason. A Church of Christ is a School of Christ and it has no other role than to make known the manifest wisdom of God.  Paul silenced effeminate men and women specificially because they would bring on the wrath, orge or orge which you can see in a few "progressive" churches of Christ.  John T. Willis boasts of Jo Bass and "the Holy Spirit and I" and the key instructor of the elders but unable to read BLACK texst on BROWN Paper.  The date of 1950 defines the apostate roots which surfaced the Non-Institutional revulsion maybe to the extreme.  It was and is a historic fact "If you build an institution Satan will come." Thomas Campbell understood the menaing of the Qahal, synagogue, ekklesia or Church of Christ (the Rock) from the wilderness onward without any change from being a School (only) of the Word (only) having silenced "vocal or instrumental rejoicing or self-speak rhetoric."
Thomas Campbell The Meaning of Worship
"who, at the same time
are ignorant of, and even averse to, the religion it inculcates; and whilst others profess to embrace it as a system of religion,

without imbibing the spirit, realizing the truth, and experiencing the power of its religious institutions; but merely superstruct to themselves, rest in, and are satisfied with, a form (acts) of godliness; and that, very often, a deficient, imperfect form, or such as their own imagination has devised;

"let us, with an open bible before us, distinguish and contemplate that religion which it enjoins and exhibits--I mean the religion of christianity, for it also exhibits the religion of Judaism;
but with this, in the mean time,
we christians have nothing directly to do--
we derive our religion immediately from the New Testament.

"The principle of this holy religion within us, is faith, a correspondent faith; that is, a belief, or inwrought persuasion by, and according to, the word of truth,

in all points corresponding to the revelation which God has made of himself through Jesus Christ by the Spirit. Hence, being rooted and grounded in the truth of this revelation, by faith in the divine testimony,

we contemplate and worship God inwardly;
that is, adore and reverence him
in our souls, according to the characters and attributes under which he has revealed himself to us.

The one piece pattern from the wilderness onward was to PREACH the WORD by READING the Word for comfort and doctrine. The Lord's Supper preaches the DEATH of Jesus which will silence all godly Disciples of Christ who are STUDENTS who attend school and not a worship service devoted to ceremonial legalism. What John T. Willis calls the pulpit preacher does not follow the pattern assigned to the APT elders: "To teach that which has been taught."

Jesus SPOKE only what the Father breathed (spirit) into Him without metron which most often means "without meter" since there is nothing tuneful in the Word of God.

Because Jesus promises no fame nor fortune anyone who "gets on the book and lecture circuit" is defined by Jesus who called the Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites.  In Ezekiel 33 Christ names speakers for hire, singers and instrument players

And altogether the ancient philosoj)hy of the Greeks appears to have been very much addicted to music; and on this account they judged Apollo to have been the most musical and the wisest of the gods, and Orpheus of the demigods. Aeschylus does in the verse where he says — And then the sophist sweetly struck the lyre.

Musae (Mousai). In Greek mythology the Muses were originally the nymphs of springs, whose waters gave inspiration, such as Hippocrenι, Castalia, etc.; then goddesses of song in genera. Jesus promised that those who spoke ONLY what He commanded to be taught would be hated, despised and rejected of men.  MEN who refuse to GO want women on the STAFF who themselves "speak of themselves" and therefore "see glory." Any man, woman or child can grab a Bible and hit the trai.

Jesus said that Doctors of the Law take away the Key to Knowledge.  He called the Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: in the Ezekiel 33 version Christ named preachers for pay, singers and instrument players. Jesus said that they were the marks of NOTHING: neither preacher not assembly had any intention of listening to and obeying the WORD. The LOGOS is the Regulative Principle: it is opposite of opinions or rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting or dancing. Dancing is a defacto part of the MUSIC word.

Still, when it happens of Biblical Proportions you shudder at those who have jacked themselves up to be Thought Leaders and then misrepresent every single passage.  They might be a Laughing Stock like the musical idolaters at Mount Sinai but they do their assigned work because as Paul said in Ephesians 4 refuting unity in diversity THEY ARE LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

Men who bring on wrath or orgy are silenced along with the women who exercise authentia: both erotic and murderous.  Any kind of polished rhetoric, singing, playing instruments or acting was the mark and cause of the "female disease": the voice made effeminate by attendance at the altars.

I am clothed in blackness

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. Psalm 22:16

Linus was the same god as the Bacchus of Greece, or Osiris of Egypt; for Homer introduces a boy singing the song of Linus, while the vintage is going on (Ilias), and the Scholiast says that this son was sung in memory of Linus, who was torn in pieces by dogs.

The epithet "dogs," applied to those who tore Linus in pieces, is evidently used in a mystical sense, and it will afterwards been seen how thoroughly the other name by which he is known--Narcissus--identifies him with the Greek Bacchus and Egyptian Osiris.

This defines the fall into the musical idolatry of the always-pagan trinity under the image of the golden calves.

Yet another version of Aphrodite as Triple Goddess,
Agape 'love feast,'  watch out for the "moon juice" in the communion.
        Irene 'peace,' and
        Chione 'snow queen.'
Irene was also a Goddess in her own right, and she had an attendant named Opora 'autumn.' The Horae who 'greeted' Aphrodite on the shores of Kyprus were her three high priestesses who carried her statue through the shallows, clothing it on the beach during her bathing and purification festival.
Irene was the Crone [old wives], bringer of the peace of death,
Agape the ruler of sacred sexual rites, and
Chione was the new year, born at Winter Solstice, unapproachable and serene.

Regarding the cultic associations and the Love-Feast, Rudolph comments:

superficially resembles the Christian eucharist,
but
rather continues older Greek and Hellenistic secret cults (like that of Eleusis and that of the god Sabazios [Jewish worship was Sabazianism]

Because vocal and instrumental sounds STRIKE or SMITE at the very nature of human nature it is logical that all of the musical and instrumental terms connect to enchantment or sorcery. History notes that those who attack you with instrumental or other sight and motion INTEND to hurt you. They tell you that the endorphins created are a holy spirit person after which we pass the plate.  The Greeks and Carol Wimber boasts about producing a sexual-like climax just before "giving of substance."

John T. Willis:
From the 1950s or earlier, the Highland Church committed herself to be willing to study any and every subject pertaining to God and HIS ways. We have tried to submit ourselves to the Word of God in dealing with each issue.

Wouldn't it be more scholarly to study all of the Bible to understand God and His ways first?  The purpose is to read or recite the great epics which has been the historical method of transmitting values.  When we recite the story we do not grind it into proof-texts (as illustrated by John T. Willis' decision that the Bible and history was wrong).  When we read the story of Abraham Lincoln we do not dishonor him by cutting out snippest and selling our own version.  NONE of the "subjects" Willis is going to study--and affirm his old original opinion--will find a Role or Dole in the ASSEMBLY which is that hour or two hours of the week where we let Jesus be heard.

That was about the time the schools began to MAKE Doctors of the Law to such up the G.I. Bill money. They taught THEOLOGY which has the same standing as Phrenology because its target is to repudiate the Bible upon which they see godliness as a means of financial gail.

The Logos or Word of God is the Regulative Principle: it is opposite of rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting or dancing.  The universal command CENI is to silence the self pleasure:

Speak "that which is written for our learning" meaning "Scripture for Comfort and Doctrine.
Of Elders they are commanded to "teach that which has been taught." They get no private opinions and Purpose Driven search of the "word" or prayer will not save elders who turn WOLVES to invite other wolves in to eat up the flock.  Devour is a double entendre where those Paul identifies as Dogs or Concision are permitted in the worship service: Paul obviously understood Jesus when he said that Christian worship is IN THE SPIRIT (a place) as opposed to IN THE FLESH.

That would MOCK the Prophets by Christ, the prophesied made more certain by Jesus with signs and wonders to validate HIS words and the eye-- and ear-- witnesses of the Apostles who left a memory for UST to whom God does not speak.

THE BABYLONIAN MOTHER OF HARLOTS RULES THE END-TIME RELIGIOUS WORLD

All craftsmen such as speakers, singers, instrument players and even harlots are defined as the Lusted After Fruit: the same fruits Amos warned about in Amos 8 when the songs in the temple are turned into howling as the mark that God had been there and would not pass by again:

Delitzsch on Psalms: Moreover, we must take into consideration the facts that the compass of the tenor extends even into the soprano, that the singers were of different ages down to twenty years of age, and that Oriental, and more particularly even Jewish, song is fond of falsetto singing. We therefore adopt Perret- Gentil's rendering, chant avec voix de femmes, and still more readily Armand de Mestral's, en soprano; whereas Melissus' rendering, "upon musical instruments called Alamoth (the Germans would say, upon the virginal)," has nothing to commend it.

"Hebrew music... was used in the luxurious times of the later monarchy the effeminate gallants of israel, reeking with perfumes, and stretched upon their couches of ivory, were wont at their banquets to accompany the song with the tinkling of the psaltery or guitar (Am. v1. 4-6), and amused themselves with devising musical instruments while their nation was perishing... music was the legitimate expression of mirth and gladness, and the indication of peace and prosperity." (Smith's Bible Dictionary, Music, p. 590).

A Cappella identifies the castrated French Opra singers imported into the Sistine Chapel which had previously employed falsetto singers: ALL religious rituals must be performed by MALES but performing the roles of women.

.

Ancient literature from Babylonian tablets and beyond agree with Johannes Quasten. In Music and Worship in Pagan and Christian Antiquity, beginning on page 41 He uses many of the church Fathers and Classical resources we also rely upon:

"Philodemus considered it paradoxical that music should be regarded as veneration of the gods while musicians were paid for performing this so-called veneration. Again, Philodemus held as self deceptive the view that music mediated religious ecstasy. He saw the entire condition induced by the noise of cymbals and tambourines as a disturbance of the spirit.

He found it significant that, on the whole, only women and effeminate men fell into this folly.

Accordingly, nothing of value could be attributed to music; it was no more than a slave of the sensation of pleasure, which satisfied much in the same way that food and drink did.

Similar opinions may be found in the writings of Philo. On one occasion he spoke of the Jewish "Feast of Fasting," used by the Greeks for the Day of Atonement:

"Now, many a man from the false religions, which are not ashamed of criticising what is noble, will ask: how can there be a feast without carousing and overeating, without the pleasant company of hosts and guests, without quantities of unmixed wine, without richly set tables and highly stacked provisions of everything that pertains to a banquet, without pageantry and jokes,

bantering and merry-making to the accompaniment of flutes and citharas, the sound of drums and cymbals and other effeminate and frivolous music of every king,

enkindling unbridled lusts with the help of the sense of hearing. For in and through the same [pleasures] those persons openly seek their joy, for what true joy is their they do not know.

Women's singing was a vital part of all pagan worship. In very early times women became priestly singers of the gods in the temple.

"Women and girls from the different ranks of society were proud to enter the service of the gods as singers and musicians. The understanding of this service was universal: these singers constituted the 'harem of the gods'." (End of Quasten)

"Jingling, banging, and rattling accompanied heathen cults, and the frenzying shawms of a dozen ecstatic cries intoxicated the masses. Amid this euphoric farewell feast of a dying civilization, the voices of nonconformists were emerging from places of Jewish and early Christian worship ..." (Encyclopaedia Judaica, 1971 ed., s.v. "Music")

Jesus said that Doctors of the Law Take Away the Key to knowledge so as Scribes, Pharisees, Hypocrites you might expect them to try to get even to SILENCE the mouth of the VICTIM of their religionism.

JOHN T. WILLIS: Can a woman give a charge during Parent Affirmation Sunday?

THE HIGHLAND ELDERS CLAIM To submit ourselves to the Word of God in dealing with each issue.

How much digging does a doctor do while finding Jesus speaking about Parent Affirmation Sunday? The church is a School (only) of the Word (only): that was the direct command for the synagogue and later Christian ekklesia. You simply cannot do Parent Affirmation Sunday without deliberately SLIGHTING Jesus who commanded that you teach and observe what HE commanded to be taught.  A Godly Disciple could never even hallucinate Charging during Parent Affirmation Sunday.

JOHN T. WILLIS: Can a woman speak to the church via videotape?

The command is to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for Comfort and Doctrine.  Why would a woman have to do a videotape of READING the Word without any private opinions, personal examples or the use of RHETORIC?  The exercise of AUTHORITY is Authentia which is both erotic and murderous: you cannot make the female voice audible or visible as a MEDIATOR of the Word without distracting the men and some women away from Jesus Christ Who is the only teacher when the elders teach that which has been taught.

JOHN T. WILLIS: Can a woman sing with the praise team at the front?

The praise siners are the world's OLDEST profession which included the second oldest. Where would John T. Willis ever dredge up the blasphemous concept of a Praise Team?  It is blasphemous because it despise the Word of God.

"The development both of religion and of the arts can be traced back in a continuous line to the hunting era. The group ritual of the primeval tribesmen were the origin not only of all religious ceremonial, but also of the drama and of poetry and music, while magic gave birth to the visual arts." (Parkes, Henry Bamford, On Gods and Men, p. 30).

"Awed by the mysteries of his own spirit no less than by those of nature, primitive man was likely to attribute to divine influence any abnormal emotional state, whether above or below the usual level. Medicine men customarily went into states of trance in which they were believed to be in communication with the gods, and many tribes supposed lunatics and sexual deviants to be divinely possessed.

John T. Willis:  Among the problems we have addressed are: the role and work of the Holy Spirit

Jesus returned as PROMISED in the Role of Holy Spirit as in the Flesh He had spoken the WORD.  The wind in the upper room was BREATH (not a person) and when Christ breathes on you you SPEAK Words.  Jesus said "I" will come to you as the "another Comforter" and in 1 John 2 he says the comforter or paraclete is Jesus Christ the Righteous. The Breath of God is not a person.  Neither in Hebrew nor Gree does Spirit speak of a person but "the mental disposition" or MIND of that person.  Jesus guided the Apostles into writing ALL TRUTH and this was left in parts by Peter who was an eye- and ear- witness of the risen Christ.  If you hear "A" spirit like Rick Atchley saying that God COMMANDS INSTRUMENTAL PRAISE then the music connection proves that it is the spirit of Apollo, Abaddon or Apollyon who is the MUSICAL WORSHIP LEADER and the Muses or musicians are called sorcerers and marked in the Greek text as dirty adulteresses.  No prostitution is as bad as SELLING your body parts claiming that you are being gyrated by the Spirit OF Christ.

God CALLS through His Word:

John 6:45 It is written in the prophets,
And they shall be all taught of God.
Every man therefore that hath heard,
and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are life.

There is only One God the Father before H. Leo Boles
Gal. 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man,
        but by Jesus Christ,
        and God the Father,
who raised him from the dead;)
Gal. 1:3 Grace be to you and peace
        from God [Theos] the Father,
and from our Lord [Kurios] Jesus Christ,

Eph. 1:2 Grace be to you, and peace,
        from God our Father,
and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph. 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father
        of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly,
        that God hath made
that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified,
        both Lord and Christ.

There is nothing in the Bible or historic scholarship which imagines that the Spirit OF a person is another person or people: God is not a people and SPIRIT is never the name of a person. God IS holy Spirit or wholly spirit without body parts.  John says that if you deny the One God the Father and One Lord Jesus Christ you are an ANTI-Christ.

Paul wants the men to HAVE holy hands or PALMS to turn up to God othewise they will introduce WRATH or Orge or ORGY. Orgy is defined as the singing, playing, clapping or any body selling which is defined in the Classics and Paul as prostitution.

The WOMEN are to be silent and not teach over or anyone because the Purpose Driven Church is a One Piece Pattern.
1Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God,
and one mediator between God and men,
            the man Christ Jesus;
1Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
This should stop both men and women who claim some authority or resource to speak beyond that which is written for our learning.

The Spirit OF Christ BREATHED or INSpirited the Prophets

The Prophets radically repudiated the Civil-Military-Clergy complex as robbers and Parasites (PARASITE defines religious instrument noise makers such as Miriam and the Levites. And those who do NOT speak that which HAS been taught.

Christ in the prophets warned about the mercinary prophets who stole words from workshops and told lies.
God made Jesus TO BE both Lord and Christ so that He said My WORDS are SPIRIT. He made the prophecies more certain and the inspired writers left us a memory or THEIR PART.

Peter said this eye-- and ear-- witnessed record is NOT subject to private interpretation or further expounding.

Peter said that the MARK of a false teacher is one who does not speak that which is written for our LEARNING.

John T. Willis: ethnic and racial relationships, divorce and Remarriage the function of shepherds (elders) and deacons (ministers), prayer, interdenominational worship and unity, grace and works, ministry models in the United States and abroad,

John T. Willis:  supporl of agencies such as the Herald of Truth, Christian Homes, Faith Works and numelous others, salvation and so-called social movements, hierarchical and egalitarian views of Christian belief and life, and several others. This is a reporl of how Highland Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas, addressed the issue of women playing a role in worship practices. Several of our members were very concemed about expanding the function of women and children in every aspect of the church, including public worship. I emphasized the importance of the function of women in the Bible as early as the 1970s at Abilene Christian University (ACU).

Of Course the only way you could ENDORSE the "functions" of women in the Bible would have to be blind to the Story Line of the Bible.  From the wilderness onward the Qahal, synagogue, ekklesia or Church of Christ [the Rock] the role is defined

EXCLUSIVELY of Vocal or Instrumental rejoicing or elveated speech beyond reading the Word.
INCLUSIVE of Rest, Reading and Rehearsing the Word.

That was the PATTERN throughout the Bible when the godly people were assembled, it was patterned and endorsed by Jesus, commanded with the ekklesia or synagogue, practiced and commanded throughout the Bible and continuing through recorded history before the Catholic Church accepted unwashed "priests" who were no longer the poor priests or preachers of the Church of Christ.

including public worship Of course there is no command, example or remote inference about "public worship" in the imaginatioon of John T. Willis. The only reason the godly people were called into assembly was to be A School of the Word.  Willis is thinking about the "worship of the starry host" to which God abandoned because of the women's influence at Mount Sinai involving singing, playing and the RESULTING sexual and homosexual outrages.  If you read Romans 1 you will be far ahead of the theologians.

God did not command the King, kingdom, Temple, animal sacrifices, priests, Levites or the EXORCISING noise made by David's instruments. The godly people were quarantined from Jerusalem and might assemble to hear the Word PREACHED by being READ.  There are none of the ROLES invented by Doctors of the Law.

Before Jeaneene Nichols, Jo Bass broke up the party with her "The Holy Spirit and I."  John T. Willis was led by Jo and Jo attended John T. Willis' classes.  Of course, spirit is always couched in a phrase such as "The Spirit OF Christ." You have to have missed prepositions to hallucinate that the Spirit OF a Person is another PEOPLE.  God is Holy or WHOLLY Spirit and does not have body parts or two other people to enable Him to SPEAK by using His BREATH (spirit) to articulate His WORD which is His son when it goes forth from him.

John T. Willis: In 1990, Jeanenne Nichols wrote two articles on this issue the Restoration Review. In 1993 and 1995,

None of the examples of godly women had anything to do with a RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION which the Doctors of the Law have invented to give GLORY and MONEY for people to be mediators in either song or sermon.  The ROLE of an assembly is to READ the Word which is defined as PREACHING.  The word "authentia" means sexual, homosexual or erotic. It is not remotely possible that a charismatic man-boy or female profession to become visible and audible and therefore powerful without distracting everyone to the body and presentation of the PERSON and not the Word. Preaching the Word (only) by READING the Word by a older, godly male is the ONLY way to keep from imposing into the Word of God and therefore disrespecting it which means blasphemy.

JOHN T. WILLIS: Canoll D. Osbum, Marcia Moore, Fred Aquino, Jeff Childers and I, who were at that time members of Highland Church, contributed articles on the function of women in the two-volume work Essays on Women in Earliest Christianity, edited by Canoll D. Osburn, Joplin, Missouri: College Press.

Jeff Childers and Frederick Aquino at the River's Edge

Jeff Childers and Frederick Aquino: "Yes! We are saved by grace through faith and baptism is a picture of our salvation." "They know that not all change is growth, yet they also realize that there is no growth without change. The thought of adjusting their beliefs, accepting new practices, or correcting their understanding of some passage of Scripture does not frighten them" (p. 15).

I read the two articles and I see Jeanenne as a VICTIM of males who do not understand the Word.  There are 168 hours during the week for ministry and the short assembly time has no roles for MINISTRY.

1Peter 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth:
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

The SPEAKING Roles relate to the LOGOS which is the opposite of making sermons, singing, playing or acting.  The command is to SPEAK the WORD by READING the Word.  Paul silences both male and female as TEACHERS OVER others.   John T. Willis wants to USE the women as readers to stand up and read verse 3d which probably has nothing to do with the sermon.  It is an insult and legalism to do the ACT of reading performed as long as someone just DOES IT.

John T. Willis:

JOHN T. WILLIS: In 1999, Clois Fowler', chairman of the Highland elders, sent a first draft of a proposed change to the 'Women's Role Task Group, initiated by Vince Swinney and Don Jackson, and submitted to David Wray and myself. The members of this task group were Angi Brenton, Kathy Merrill, Jerry Strader, Kelli McKnight, Kathryn Witherspoon, Tim Sensing, Jack Griggs and Dickie Porche, chair.

John T. Willis and others are brash enough to say that they are ACTING as a direct result of PRAYING.  Paul outlaws doubtful disputations about private diversities which have nothing to do with edifying which means EDUCATING in the assembly (Paul called them synagogues."  In Romans 15 Paul OUTLAWED Self-pleasure  which includes all of the rhetoric, singing, playing, drama or PERSONAL DECISIONS of the group. The Purpose was to "Use one mind and one mouth to teach that which is written for our Learning" meaing Scripture.

See how Livy Described the Bacchanalibus or New Wineskins Worship Paul warned against in Romans 14

This also described why Jesus would not LAMENT and DANCE when the Clergy PIPED. They wanted to initiate Him into the Gay Brotherhood believing that Bacchus was to be their Messiah.

The making of inquisition concerning clandestine meetings was decreed to both the consuls. A Greek of mean condition came, first, into Etruria,

not with one of the many trades which his nation, of all others the most skillful in the cultivation of the mind and body, has introduced among us,
but
a low operator in sacrifices, and a soothsayer;

nor was he one who, by open religious rites,
and by publicly professing his calling and teaching,
imbued the minds of his followers with terror,

but a priest of secret and nocturnal rites.
These mysterious rites were, at first, imparted to a few,
but afterwards communicated to great numbers, both men and women
.

To their religious performances were added the pleasures of wine and feasting,

to allure a greater number of proselytes.
When wine
, lascivious discourse, night, and the intercourse of the sexes had extinguished every sentiment of modesty, then debaucheries of every kind began to be practiced, as every person found at hand that sort of enjoyment to which he was disposed by the passion predominant in his nature.

Nor were they confined to one species of vice---the promiscuous intercourse of free-born men and women;

but from this store-house of villainy proceeded false witnesses,
counterfeit seals (marks)
, false evidences, and pretended discoveries.

From the same place, too, proceeded poison and secret murders, so that in some cases, not even the bodies could be found for burial. [Judas was a siccari or assassin and his bag carried mouthpieces for wind instruments]

Many of their audacious deeds were brought about by treachery, but most of them by force;

it served to conceal the violence, that, on account of the loud shouting, and the noise of drums and cymbals, none of the cries uttered by the persons suffering violence or murder could be heard abroad.

AFTER the the women were LED OUT to escape WITH Singing and Clanging and after the men fell back into musical idolatry of the Egyptian Trinity, God removed the Covenant of Grace (Abrahamic) and impose The Book of The Law and sentenced the people to captivity and death back in Mesopotamia, Moses wrote a RETROSPECTIVE account of the Fall and restoration of the Hebrew and not of the universe.  That destruction of isolated city-states began in Sumer almost exactly in the year B.C. 4000.  The Old Testament defines the future by defining the past when evil men turn away from God and His Word of peace and liberty.

That means and the history of prophecy marks the year ad 2000 as the end of Day Six. Led Intentionally by the ACU pseudo scholars the SURVEY was a way to SET AMBUSH by an appeal to human imagination which God said is only evil continually.

John T. Willis: On September 9,2000, I chaired the Highland elders retreat. After much prayer study and discussion, the eldership drafted twenty-two questions, asking each elder to answer the following questions: "Is this biblical, yes or no?" and "Should this be considered by the Women's Role Task Group, yes or no?"

John T. Williss would not have taken the SURVEY if he had not made up his mind.   The claim of PRAYER AND SCHOLARSHIP is a substitute for the Word of God and may be without redemption. The Spirit OF Christ in Ephesians 4 listed the ROLES for which there was no ROLE and no "venue" for performing arts and crafts: cunning craftsmen or Sophists.  APT elders as opposed to Doctors of the Law have the ONLY teaching Role in a School of Christ and his CENI Is to "teach that which has been taught" and to reprove or sit down anyone who opposes THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN for our Learning.

This is the ABSOLUTE LAW according to Paul because Jesus said that the "Doctors of the Law take away the key to knowledge" and the cunning craftsmen of Sophists are LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

OF THE BOOK OF THE COVENANT OR ABRAHAMIC AS THE ONLY SPIRITUAL COVENANT:

JOHN T. WILLIS: The questions were:

. Can a woman make the family concern announcements?

. Can a woman lead worship (singing)?

There is no Worship leader possible in The School of Christ.  Claiming to LEAD others into worship is worse than claiming to be a LEADER when you make love to your wife. Worship is IN the spirit which is a PLACE in contrasted to houses where Jesus will NOT COME.  Worship is giving attention or meditating with yourself about what is commanded to be PREACHED by being READ.

. Can a woman lead prayer from the pulpit?

There is no Prayer Leader as liturgy in the Bible.  Both male and female pray their OWN prayer, thank you very much.  Paul's goal that ALL might be silent and no one humming during personal praying.  The "prayer" in the synagogue was to recite the SHEMA which repudiates the trinity.

. Can a woman share communion thoughts in the pulpit?

. Can a woman pass the communion trays to the congregation?

A woman EXERCISES authority when she is purposefully VISIBLE or AUDIBLE.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 1 Timothy 2:12

The only way that women can ignore this 'doctrine' is to deny inspiration or falsely Accuse Paul. This denial along with performance preaching "with a tune" is the first step to exercising feminine or effeminate sexual authority. There can be no stand up or non-sedantary roles for women in the public assembly which does not ignorantly put this sexual power into operation. Seeker forms of performance worship is a deliberate attempt to use feminine or effeminate sexual authority to "attract the customers." And so all history identifies musical worship with this form of sexual authority. The word Paul used is:

Authenteo (g831) ow-then-teh'-o; (a worker); to act of oneself, i.e. (fig.) dominate: - usurp authority over

"Dionysus is the wine-god, and thus should be a pleasant fellow, a benefactor. But wine has both positive and negative aspects. It makes people drunk, causes them to behave in strange ways. The Greeks were well aware of the dual natures of wine, mirrored by the dual nature of its god.... He betrays a dual nature: being bright, joyous, and vital for life,

while also having a side that is dark, mysterious and deadly.

"The adored wife of the fallen Hector, is taken as a concubine by the authentes, who can command her domestic and sexual services. The word also occurs in a homosexual sense in a speech by Theseus, king of Athens, where love of young boys was considered a virtue rather than a vice." ( Charles Trombly, Who Said Women Can't Teach, p. 174)

"dionysus's worship is thus established by the simple means of killing the opposition. It has been suggested that every tragic hero who suffers and dies on stage at the Dionysia, the great dramatic festival at Athens (of the South?), is in fact dionysus himself, being killed."

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority (authenteo) over the man, but to be in silence.1Ti.2:12

But the Bible teaches that to seduce men in such a manner was indeed to lead them to slaughter and the halls of death (cf. Prov. 2:18; 5:5; 6:27; 9:18).

The verb authentein is thus peculiarly apt to describe both the erotic and murderous." (Trombley, Who Says Women Can't Teach, p. 177).

The silence which contrasts with usurping authority is:

Esuchia (g2271( hay-soo-khee'-ah; fem. of 2272; (as noun) stillness, i.e. desistance from bustle or language: - quietness, silence.

Esuchios (g2272) hay-soo'-khee-os; a prol. form of a comp. prob. of a der. of the base of 1476 and perh. 2192; prop. keeping one's seat (sedentary), i.e. (by impl.) still (undisturbed, undisturbing): - peaceable, quiet.

. Can a woman read scripture to the congregation?

. Can a woman introduce graduating seniors?

. Can a woman ministry leader report on ministry activities?

. Can a woman baptize someone?

. Can a woman read or pray a baby blessing?

. Can a woman introduce parents of a newbom baby?

. Can a woman make a public confession?

. Can a woman collect items passed to the ends of the rows?

. Can a woman give testimony of God's work in her life?

. Can a woman lead a singing group in a special song?

. Can a woman be in a Christian drama?

Christian Drama is an oxymoron: ACTING along with PREACHING out of your head is the definition of a HYPOCRITE.  All actors, poets or musicians were known to INTERPRET the LOGOS which specificially OUTLAWS singing, playing or acting.

Can a woman be interviewed by a male leader?

The LOGOS is defined as the OPPOSITE of Pathos.  There is absolutely NOTHING that can happen to a man or women which does not REPUDIATE the assembly as Reading the Word for comfort and doctrine.  The woman has nothing "written for our lerning."

[3] Now the virtues and vices are not emotions because we are not pronounced good or bad according to our emotions, but we are according to our virtues and vices; nor are we either praised or blamed for our emotions—a man is not praised for being frightened or angry, nor is he blamed for being angry merely, but for being angry in a certain way—

The elders responded with an overwhelming yes to issues of biblical authority and whether to consider that in the process of deciding women's roles. Howeve‘ the only two restrictions were that women could not serve as elders or conduct public preaching.

From 2000 to2002,the shepherds (elders) organized many meetings of all kinds involving the entire church in various ways. We had numerous meetings in groups of approximately 150-200 people at a time to discuss the function of women in public worship. In time, we invited every member of the church to attend and most members accepted these invitations. In addition, we invited speakers to Highland who had various types of expetiise in dealing with the function ofwomen inpublic worship.

We encouraged every member at Highland to study these articles, and to do their own research using additional books and afticles on this topic. We also had a series of sermons and classes on the function of women in public worship.

In the classes, each member was encouraged to share his/her thoughts, insights and concems.

Following the ideas presented in scripture is important to us and there were many passages that were consulted. First, 1 Corinthians 11"4-5 states that both men and women prayed and prophesied in public assemblies as long as the men did not cover their heads and the women did cover their heads.

John T. Willis: 1 Corinthians 14.34-35 says women are to be silent in the churches in the larger context that men are to be silent if more than two or three men speak in tongues, or if there is no interpreter when someone speaks in tongues in the verses just before in I Corinthians 14.26-33.

BOTH men and women are to be silent unless they receive a REVELATION which never happend in corinth or they SPOKE the revealed Word of God by supernatural power which never happened in corinth.

Psallo is IN the heart or mind and defacto SILENT. Unless someone had something in the MIND which did not edify they were to KEEP SILENT: both men and women. The CULTURAL thing is that apostles and prophets were given the GIFT OF CHRIST: they were to silence the cunning craftsmen or sophists: speakers, singers or instrument players because they were LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

IF THE PURPOSE IS THAT ALL MIGHT BE SAVED AND COME TO A KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH BY WHAT WACKONESS WOULD MEN WANT TO GIVE WOMEN THE RIGHT TO SPEAK OUT OF THEIR OWN HEAD?

Oak Hills Church wrote a 119 page book on women speaking.  However, no one seems to recognize that the Purpose Driven Church was "that all be saved and come to a knowledge of the Truth."

1 Corinthians 14 Speaking in Tongues

I Corinthians 14.26-33. These practices are cultural, occasional and isolated, not universal Christian truths.

Culture does not change: IF the purpose was to silence anyone who did not speak "that which has been taught" or that which is written for our learning, why would doctors of the law USURP the Word claiming that "a" spirit now guides them beyond the sacred pages: KoolAid is a health drink now.

1Cor. 14:32 And the spirits [minds] of the prophets are subject to the prophets
1Cor. 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

1Cor. 14:34   Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
1Cor. 14:35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home:
for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Men more than women attended that sector of the Synagogue schools which used the Bible as the textbook for learning how to read and teach.  Because the CENI was to PREACH the Word by READING the Word and translating from the originals, the men more than the women would understand the WRITTEN WORD better.  If the wife did not understand the translation from the original or any explanation by the elder that did not mean that the rest of the people failed to grasp it. NONE of the men were authorized to interrupt the reader (prayer) because Job One was to LISTEN to the READING.  Noting but the Text and primarily the Prophets were read for the Spiritual education.  That means that they would all speak the same things and people got frequent chances to hear the WORD.

The Mad Women of Corinth were famous or infamous. As prophetess of Apollo or other "god" a prophet is always a female drunk on wine, music or some other disturbance of the soul.

The WOMEN were silenced because there were no women ordained as PROPHETS

The apostles laid their hands on men who became prophets or able to speak the WORD as it was once delivered to the saings.

Second, Paul's instructions in lTimothy 2.8-15 are: .

Men lift up holy hands when they pray . Women dress modestly and decently in suitable clothing . Women not have their hair braided . 'Women not to wear gold, pearls, or expensive clothes . 'Women to do good works . Women learn in silence . 'Women not to teach or have authority over a man

Women will be saved through childbearing, providing they continue in faith and holiness, with modesty The following types of questions began to be raised:

Women will be KEPT SAFE from the outbreak of ORGIES caused by effeminate males.

Must we insist that all men lift up holy hands when they pray? Must women dress modestly and decently in suitable clothing only in public assemblies? Must women not have their hair braided? Must women not wear gold, pearls, or expensive clothes?

MUST is a human imagination: the POINT is that the command of PAUL was to READ the letters and not PREACHE out of their own heads.  The POINT is that the men turned up holy PALMS which was a sign of dedication to the Word.

Gen. 14:22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand [palm] unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
Psa. 28:2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee,
when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
Psa. 119:48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments,
which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

The point was that the prayer was for PEACE and SILENCE so that "we might all be saved and come to a knowledge of the TRUTH.

The Worship of the Serpent Dean: The old Magian idolatry assumed, under his hand, a more alluring appearance. Some of its metaphysical absurdities were removed, and its simplicity of worship put on the gorgeous apparel of a faith which appealed to the senses rather than to the imagination. Fire temples arose above the naked "hill altars" of their ruder ancestors; and the sacred flame which his hallowed or daring hand was supposed to have brought down from heaven, was religiously guarded by an appointed priesthood. So awful were the sanctions of this new religion, that the whole nation gave way to the irresistible evidence of its divine authority. The worshippers of the serpent, if any remained, quailed under the genius of a prophet who had gazed upon the true Schechinah; and the portion of fire which he exhibited, in token of his ascent to heaven,

Must women do good works, but not men? When and where must women learn in silence-at home, at meals, visiting with friends, studying in classes, in Bible classes, in public assemblies, etc.?

Must women never teach or have authority over a man-like Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, Philip's four daughters, the Samaritan woman, Mary, etc.?

Miriam and the Levites PROPHESIED or were Soothsayer-Sorcerers serving the same Egyptian gods. Miriam is the protypical usurping women: when she claimed to speak FOR God He slapped here with Leprosy and the disappers.  If the men are too cowardly and you have a Deborah then by all means let her lead you out to slaughter the gentiles  (denominations).  Huldah kept the Mishna or Library: if the king nor priests knew anything about the Bible it was logical to go to Huldah where a copy of the Law was stashed way.

Because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai God had turned the nation over to worship the starry host: that included Apollo, Abaddon or Apollyon.

John T. Willis: If women do not have children, will they be lost?

Paul promised that God sends strong delusions to those who do not know the truth.  And doctors of the law take away the key to knowledge. Is it possible that Dr. Willis cannot read the text or is he just mocking in order to set up silly examples to make it easier for or TRAP elders into become wolves and claim INSPIRATION to repudiate the clear teachings from EVAH and the fall in the garden of Eden to the Babylon Mother of Harlots (fruits) in Revelation.

It must be MOCKING God and godly believers to lay out the red herring that people must believe that having a child is a STEP TO SALVATION meaning a punched ticked to heaven.

People are saved by having their UNholy spirit cleansed of sins so that they have A holy spirit and can read BLACK text on BROWN paper.  We are washed in water INTO the Word or into the school of Christ. A lady Disciple will have no urge to become a hireling so she can speak beyond the sacred pages as John T. Willis claims by God answering their BATHING IN PRAY and giving them INSPIRATION which is reputed by all recorded history.

Paul wants the women to be SAFE in giving birth to children.  Music can induce premature labor

Women who engage in the ORGE or ORGY were never SAFE.  Musical rituals which brought on "prophesying" was almost always associated with sexuality or homosexuality among the bands.

1 Thessalonians 2:[3] For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in deception. [4] But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts. [5] For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness (God is witness), [6] nor seeking glory from men (neither from you nor from others), when we might have claimed authority as apostles of Christ.

FAITH COMES BY HEARING: no man or woman can continue in FAITH (means to comply) and defend any kind of rhetorical or musical performance in the School of Christ in the prophets and apostles.

Love or Charity could not possibly INTENTIONALLY sow discord: if you ONLY sow discord and offend a hundred or so you only need to offend one to be lost beyond redemption if you do it intentionally.

You DESPISE God and His WORD when you deliberately sow discord over the PSALLO word.  You INSIST that the Spirit OF Christ and Paul were just too ignorant NOT to know that:

There is no recorded example of psallo meaning to PLAY a harp to make MUSIC.  Silly Sally would know from Bible 101a and grammar grade 6 that you must have:

Psallo or [1] pluck with your fingers ony, a
[2] string and the name of the [3] instrument to be plucked. That would not include "melody" or a series of single notes.
Or, you have compound words dedicated to EACH instrument and whether singing is to take place.

Upon raising such questions, we have concluded that the instructions in I Timothy 2.8-15 are cultural and situational, not eternal truths.

We have concluded that Paul's REASON was based on two stated facts:

First: The church was not a place for men or women to teach OVER others because the STATED purpose was so that "all might be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. Godly women would never assume that THEY were the source of revelation as with modern songs and sermons.  Women just out of paganism would interpret any gas pain as a revelation.

Second, There is just ONE MEDIATOR between God and Man, the MAN Jesus Christ. That is why the PATTERN or CENI is to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for comfort and doctrine.

John T. Willis:  Third, in Galations 3.28, Paul states that in Christ "there is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slaveor  free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus." God has broken down the walls or bariers between different races,. slave dnd free, rich and poor, old and young, male and female, etc.

Well, John T. Willis is contradicting Scripture and saying that WOMEN and MEN are the same EXCEPT they cannot be ONE and take OUR job as elders or preachers.

The Point from reading 101a is that there is no racial distinction which made anyone superior. However, since the ONLY role was for an older male to READ the Word and elders as Pastor-Teachers are commanded to Teach that which has been taught, we know that younger males with a unisexual persona is excluded as well as women who carry the same sexual attractant as hand waving preachers

Gal. 3:23 But before FAITH came, we were kept under THE LAW,
shut up unto THE FAITH which should afterwards be revealed.

Gal. 3:24 Wherefore THE LAW was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ,
that we might be justified by (the) FAITH

But after that (THE) faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster (THE LAW). Gal 3:25

Verse 25 is not a complete sentence.

WHAT?      FOR ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:26

BECAUSE   FOR as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:27

[27] quicumque enim in Christo baptizati estis Christum induistis

quīcumque (or -cunque ), quaecumque, quodcumque (also separately:

Enim why because, for, for instance, namely, that is to say, I mean, in fact I. To corroborate a preceding assertion, yes indeed, yes truly, of a truth, to be sure, certainly, indeed: A.  To prove or show the grounds of a preceding assertion

IT IS A FACT THAT WE ARE ALL ONE AND THERE ARE NO TITLES OF HONOR OR AUTHORITY. A baptized woman is just as saved as a baptized man or Jew. The POINT was to destroy the SUPERIORITY of persons.  This has nothing to do with the assembly. We know for a fact that once a Preacher with no role and no dole is imported, ALL males are not equal to the Alpha Male and are silenced at all times other than when "on the preacher's program."

The Spirit OF Christ defined the asssembly in the prophets

Habakkuk 2:18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image,
and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?

We even have a mention at a later date of a similar custom in connection with the cult in Jerusalem, where certain Levites, called me'oreim, 'arousers," sang every morning this verse from Ps 44: 'Awake, Lord, awake! Do not abandon us for ever." The Talmud tells us that Johy Hyrcanus suppressed the practice because it recalled too readily a pagan custom.

A similar practice is attested in connection with the cult of Herakles-Melkart. According to Menander, as he is quoted by Josephus, the king Hiram, who was a contemporary of Solomon, rebuilt the temples of Tyre and, 'he was the first to celebrate the awakening of Heracles in the month of Peritius." (de Vaux, p. 247)

In an inscription from Cyprus, in one from Rhodes and in several from around the district of Carthage, there are references to important personages who bear the title Mqm"lm which we can translate as 'arouser of the god." (de Vaux, p. 247).

Fourth, Paul names numerous Christians at Rome in Romans 16 with approximately half of these people being women .l6.l says Phoebe is a deacon;

Phoebe was a SERVANT of the Corinthian church but she SERVED at  cenchrea as an official of the Greek government. She met transients just off the ship and made certain that they kept going to the next port of exit unless they wished to settle down in Greece.  She then found him a JOB and sponsored him as an alien as she did Paul. If they didn't want to work then neither shall they eat and she got them on the next ship leaving the area.  The same was the practice of those who claimed to be evangelists or apostles: they let him tell them what they didn't already know for a week or two and then SENT him on his way.

The Greeks had no word for Deaconess.  Phoebe was a busness woman and Paul didn't know why she was going to Rome but it was not as a preacher.

16.3-5 says Prisca (Priscilla) and Aquila worked with Paul in Christ Jesus and hosted a local church;

John T. Willis: 16.7 says Junia is prominent among the apostles;

That's fine, but never in the assembly which was to Rest, Read and Meditate on the Word (Melete, not Melos). The Apostles knew about then and they were IN PRISON WITH PAUL: NOT women "apostles."

Paul wants ALL to be silent: Men are to lift holy PALMS a symbol of READING the Text. This will PREVENT Wrath or ORGY.  Brandon Scott Thomas has been hired to bring on ORGY defined by hypocritic mockers outrageoulsy claiming that they are Jesus Christ--the one Mediator--and can lead you into the presence of God. These "feelings" were always known to be drugn-induced sexual feelings.

John T. Willis:  16.13 says the mother of Rufus was a mother to Paul also. Paul worked hand in hand with women and men in Christ.

That's fine, everyone SERVES as commanded and exampled by Jesus but NO ONE presides over in a clergy role.  The role was to READ the Word as a School of Christ.  She didn't have an office, a budget, make reports to the assembly and silence everyone else on the "ministry."  Preachers should be like Phoebe and GO out and minister to the needy.  There is no reason that a woman cannot pick up her Bible and plunge into the areas of the city that the Mega church will never reach.

John T. Willis:  Fifth, Luke specifically names Mary called Magdalene, Joanna, Suzanna and many others who traveled with the twelve apostles and provided for them out of their resources in Luke 8.1-4, Jesus worked equally with men and women to cany out his mission.

Probably women including Widows helped violate the Law of Laying By in Store to build the church building and hire those God gave no ROLE and no DOLE. Then along comes a spider and says HEY we gonna Infiltrate and Divert your MONIES into something we HATCHED UP. Paul called the Scribes and Pharisees HYPOCRITS: they made long prayers (HYMNS) while fabricating their own Scriptures so they could EAT UP the livings of the Widows. They were pikers: today we lie, cheat and steal the CHURCH house and CHURCH FAMILY of weeping widows told to "get over it or get out."

John T. Willis:  Finally, in Philippians 4.2-3, Paul calls two women-Euodia and Syntyche-his fellow workers and significant figures in the church, commending them to the communify of faith at Philippi.

Phil 4:2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

Phil 4:3 And I entreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

John T. Willis is BOUND to collect a few co-workers and GO into all the world and preach the Word. No one has the right to build an INSTITUTION which spends all of its time and money mocking the Word and saying that Paul was NOT speaking for Jesus.

We have no example of them PREACHING or RULING OVER the flock or calling in a WORSHIP TEAM to stir up animosity and "make the lambs dumb before the slaughter." Paul DEFINED AWAY all of the performance music in this chapter which we probably didn't read at ACU.

PAUL ALWAYS DEFINES THE CHURCH BOTH INCLUSIVELY AND EXCLUSIVELY.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Phil 4:5

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil 4:6
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil 4:7

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report;

if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things. Phil 4:8

Think is: Logizomai (g3049) log-id'-zom-ahee; mid. from 3056; to take an inventory, i.e. estimate (lit. or fig.): - conclude, (ac-) count (of), / despise, esteem, impute, lay, number, reason, reckon, suppose, think (on).

Logikos (g3050) log-ik-os'; from 3056; rational ("logical"): - reasonable, of the word.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable (spiritual NIV) service. Ro.12:1

Service is: Latreia (g2999) lat-ri'-ah; from 3000; ministration of God, i.e. worship: - (divine) service.

The synagogue was not a pagan worship center; it was an ekklesia or school of the Bible. Showing that TRUTH belongs in the synagogue as the "worship" of the non-sectarian Jews, Jesus warned:

They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will that he doeth God service. Jn.16:2

As newborn babes, desire (intensly crave) the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Pet 2:2

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Phil 4:9

John T. Willis:  Our experiences over these several years led to certain results, which proved to be very important. At every step of this study,
we bathed our study, our discussions, our daily life in prayer before God.

Then it is a proven example that God sent strong delusions that they believe their own lies and be damned.  The MARK or PROOF is the performance of lying wonders.

2Th. 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

X.Smp.2.2 Xenophon, Symposium  II. When the tables had been removed and the guests had poured a libation and sung a hymn, there entered a man from Syracuse, to give them an evening's merriment. He had with him a fine flute-girl, a dancing-girl--one of those skilled in acrobatic tricks,--and a very handsome boy, who was expert at playing the cither and at dancing; the Syracusan made money by exhibiting their performances as a spectacle. [2] They now played for the assemblage, the flute-girl on the flute, the boy on the cither; and it was agreed that both furnished capital amusement. Thereupon Socrates remarked: “On my word, Callias, you are giving us a perfect dinner; for not only have you set before us a feast that is above criticism, but you are also offering us very delightful sights and sounds.” [3] “Suppose we go further,” said Callias, “and have some one bring us some perfume, so that we may dine in the midst of pleasant odours, also.” “No, indeed!” replied Socrates
“What use will you make of them?” the other asked.
“I will dance, by Zeus.”

We came to understand the various backgrounds, insights and inner feelings of a wide diversity of people in race, age and gender. We slowly grew in love closer to God and to one another as we tried to understand many issues in life, not just the function of women in public worship.
We received improved perceptions of the meaning and application of scripture
and of contemporary thought and life.
This has confirmed our former studies about the religious issues mentioned above,
and inspires us to approach new issues for the church in the future.

John T. Willis: The Highland Church in the early 2000s had approximately two thousand members. During the years of this experience, we may have lost one hundred people at most. Most of those who left Highland refused to discuss this issue from the start. After much study and discussion, at least 95 percent of the members not only remained at Highland, but also enthusiastically supporled the decisions the entire church decided upon.

If John T. Willis counted the original bodies STILL there he would discover that he and Mike Cope in the Words of the Christian Standard "TRANSISTIONED" the membership by chasing out the INVESTORS and replacing them with simpletones who could swallow those really false sermons.  Godly and literate Bible Students do not HAVE to discuss anything with Willis.  If they have ever read the Bible they KNOW that God HATES the "music in the temple" and He HATES people who sow discord.  The Purpose Driven Cult assumes that you can LOOSE half of the owners and make it financially profitabley by ATTRACTING the butterlies.

The meaning of the Beastia or Serpent is to introduce things like creeping songs that wind around and around.  If you SPRING all of these false teachings at once Lynn Anderson would tell you that you might SPOOK the frogs and they might jump ship.  This is called gradualism which is the meaning of the serpent or a creeping plague.

Of the twenty-two issues discussed, the elders introduced approximately six issues at a time, not all at once. We gave several months to make sure everyone was comfortable with what we were doing and how we needed to improve on each issue. It took approximately two years to get through all twenty-two matters of discussion. Since approximately 2005, most members seem happy about the diverse use of women in public worship in many ways, and look forward to both men and women functioning in public worship.

After 2005, several events occurred which have put off a fuither study of the function of women as elders or shepherds and the function of women as public preachers.

I'm at a congregation that has struggled with this issue.
We've been atempting to make our Sunday morning assemblies as relevant as possible.

One way we did that was
      A. to start using a praise team,
      B. not every Sunday,
      C. but at first only occasionally,
      D. and now about every other week,
      E. before the actual service starts-

Rev. Dr. KERR, Reformed Presbyterian Church of Scotland, Glasgow Their plan of campaign would be marked by the following stages at considerable intervals:

1. adverse comments on the simplicity of the worship observed;
2. a
choir, who would alone sing;

3. a hymnal, with hymns from Romish sources, and
4. frequent use of hymns by
Newman and other notable Romanists;

5. a harmonium in the Sabbath school;
6. an
organ in the church (a gift if possible);
7. occasional references to Protestants as
bigots;
8. frequent use of the terms "the church," "
holy communion," and "holy orders;"
9. a
new church in shape of a cross, with chancel, nave, organ loft, apse, altar, and reredos;

10. introduction of saints' days and holy days, including Ash Wednesday, Maunday Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday; crosses, crosiers; candles; incense; thurifers; and so on.

We have been involved in a study of "missional" living and worship over the past three to four years.

Missional is a LIE WORD: it is not related to missionary but of using the funds and influence of stable churches of Christ to establish instrumental churches.

2. The Missional Church

As a passionate participant in (and observer of) the Church, I see God raising up 'missional communities' that can influence 'from the margins.' I can't remember where I first heard the term 'missional communities', or I'd give the person credit. But the picture it paints in my mind is a group of people who are highly intentional about truly obeying Jesus' commands so as to increasingly be like him. The individuals pursuing this life-goal are in community [COMMUNE]. They live out their new, loving, powerful kingdom reality not as 'Lone Ranger Christians' (going about their work-a-day life isolated except for an hour on Sunday), but non-negotiably as a vital part of a group of Christ-followers.

The Missional Church and Restoring the Five Fold Ministry--including unquestioned Apostles and Prophets. When people DENY the inspiration of the Word God sends them strong delusions and the CRACK AWAY to some archaic religionism.

In 19th century England, Christians were ripe to flock to apocalyptic prophecies about the coming Millennial Age. The upheaval that the French Revolution had produced left God's people wishing for a reign of peace under their Lord that would set all things right.

In the year 1824, Edward Irving, a Presbyterian pastor in Scotland, began teaching that "the five-fold ministry" of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers had disappeared from the church and were in need of restoration. According to Irving, the restoration of these ministries would usher in the Millennial Kingdom of Christ on the earth.

As a result of Irving's teachings, he and his followers began the Catholic Apostolic Church in 1832. Its chief purpose was to restore "the five-fold ministry" and usher in the Millennial Kingdom. The church ordained twelve "apostles" who were to be the last days equivalent of the original Twelve whom Jesus appointed. Henry Drummond, a wealthy banker from England, became the leader of the church. Drummond himself took the highest position . . . the "apostle to Scotland."

It was prophesied that these twelve apostles would be the last apostles to appear on the earth before Christ's return. (This is a throwback to Mani of Persia of the third century who labeled himself the "Apostle of Light," the very last apostle of Jesus to exist on the earth.)

Eventually these twelve apostles died (the last one dying in 1901). Upon their death, the Catholic Apostolic Church died in England. In Germany, however, the Catholic Apostolic Church ordained twelve more apostles and took the name New Apostolic Church.

A missional church seeks to incorporate its members into being part of a larger purpose, encouraging them as subversives, giving them tools to engage their culture, teaching them how to bridge and interact with culture, setting a biblical agenda for holy living, fostering spiritual formation, developing spiritual giftedness, encourage social action, and serving in community. Thus, it attacks the demons of postmodernism: atomization, isolation, relativism, secularism, anti-supernaturalism, and apathy. It invites outsiders to a journey within a Christian community.

It also engages the outside world using relationships, rather than business tools (i.e. marketing, advertising, and entertainment). A missional community intentionally works under the authority of Christ to accomplish the Great Commission. Eddie Gibbs again says, "In postmodern society, church leaders ... must be apostolic in that they are venturing into new territory as well as reclaiming lost ground to bring people to Christ and to multiply missional communities. The confidence, technique-based ability to manage the present and face the future have been replaced by the need to seek God's wisdom and strength afresh for the novel and unanticipated challenges that face us in our ministries." Missional communities simple seek leaders who think and act apostolically, rather than like a CEO.

The disciple identity is held by all; growth in discipleship is expected of all.

8. People within the community hold themselves accountable to one another in love.
What it looks like:
Substantial time is spent with one another for the purpose of watching over one another in love.

The church was a weekly SCHOOL OF THE BIBLE: this defines a CULT or "community church" which is defined as a COMMUNE.

The church organization is characterized by the participants as one that is ever open to change, to new and expansive ways of organizational thinking and behaving that enable rather than block the cultivating of faithful discipleship.

The community gives visible evidence that its life, work, witness, and worship are influenced and shaped by what the community is learning together from Scripture's revelation of God's claim upon its life.

Believing that the Holy Spirit gives gifts to all, the entire community participates in programs and processes for identifying, commissioning, and utilizing the gifts of both new and continuing participants for service in the mission of the church.

We have been involved in reorganizing the eldership and staff into three fundamental teams: administration, pastoral work for the community of faith, and vision of the future.

A plurality of elders was given by Christ in Ephesians 4 for the tasks of EXCLUDING alll of the Cunning Craftsmen or Sophists meaning self-preachers, singers, instrument players and actors SO THAT the elders could Teach that which had been taught. By clergy force SPLITTING the eldership it is much easier to DIVIDE AND CONQUOR.  However, the body of Elders are the Christ ordained Pastor-Teachers.  Their ONLY resource is THAT WHICH HAS BEEN TAUGHT.  This lets the false teachers rise to the surface as able to impose FALSE TEACHING as ANTI-Christs because the LOGOS is the only Regulative Principle.  What John T. Lewis is a neo-pagan Temple-State just like the Ziggurats in Babylon and the Ziggurate at Jerusalem where they worshipped the stary host including Abaddon or Apollyon.

Preachers (Kerusso) and Elders (Presbyters) are called HERALDS. A herald obeys the direct command of Jesus to GO into all the world and preach what HE COMMANDED TO BE TAUGHT.

This has led to several changes with the elders and staff

After losing our pulpit minister of eighteen years, we had a long search, and now our new minister is Jonathan Storment, who has been preaching at Highland for approximately one year and a half.

Mike Cope has moved on to Pepperdine with the task of REEDUCATING any of the conservative preachers into the INSTRUMENTAL SECT.

He is doing a great job. We spent a year to cast a new vision at Highland. Now we are involved in Restoration:

"Vision casting demands theological perspective. This is work that cannot be done in a vacuum. Millennial visionaries must take a hard look back before daring to chart the course for the years that lie ahead. A vision cast outside of solid theological context will certainly promote a shallowness and emptiness that will leave the church of tomorrow in a state of sad and tragic despair.

The Spirit OF (a preposition) Christ in Jeremiah warned about the CENI, VISION CASTING AND BLASPHEMY

The Spirit OF Christ defined the ONLY way to RESTORE THE OLD PATHS.

Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones:
and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Isaiah 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places:
        thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations;
and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD,
        honourable; and shalt honour him,
not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Isaiah 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD;

In addition to Jonathan (and his wife Leslie), we have added two more staff members: Brandon Scott Thomas (and his wife Cheryl) as praise coordinator (founder and ongoing coordinator of The Zoe Group); and Ben Siburl (and his wife Emma) as staff coordinator.

Unfortunately, God cannot use and will not tolerate any human talent.  Why would God make Jesus His Lord and Christ to SPEAK the Word which was God's Spirit (Breath) without METER.  That must be true since He did not supply us any metrical text which we are commanded to speak with "one mind and one mouth."  Jesus asks: "Could you not tarry with me for one hour?"  No, not then and not now.  Since those in need do not come to musical performances to be MINISTERED TO, why not let the elders "teach that which has been taught?"  Then, those with some gift or talent will be sincere and GO OUT to those in need. That's what Peter said.

Brandon Scott Thomas of the Zoe (Eve, Venus) movement will fulfill prophecy and introduce the rise of the Mother Goddess worship. Zoe is defined as the BEAST and female instructing principle.  The BEAST in revelation is defined as A New Style of Music and Drama. Plato noted that when you see this happening people INTEND to change the LAWS.

9.25. 13

We are not a prophet or the son of a prophet.  However, the ONLY information Jesus left us through John was to avoid specific clear "when you see these signs."

FOR INSTANCE, IN THIS LAST DETAILED WARNING APOLLO, ABADDON, APOLLYON IS THE LEADERS OF THE MUSICIANS.

Mousagetēs 1 doric for Mousēgetēs leader of the Muses, Lat. Musagetes, of Apollo, Plat.

Strabo Geography [-10.3.10] And on this account Plato, and even before his time
        the
Pythagoreians, called philosophy music [Jesus doesn't PRAY for the KOSMOS or World of Pythagoreas]

andthey say that the universe is constituted in accordance with harmony,
assuming that every form of music is the work of the gods.
And in this sense, also, the
Muses are goddesses,
and
Apollo is leader of the Muses,
and
poetry as a whole is laudatory of the gods.

And by the same course of reasoning they also attribute to music the upbuilding of morals, believing that everything which tends to correct the mind is close to the gods.

Now most of the Greeks assigned to Dionysus, Apollo, Hecate, the Muses (9 women team), and above all to Demeter, everything of an orgiastic or Bacchic or choral nature, as well as the mystic element in initiations; and they give the name "Iacchus" not only to Dionysus but also to the leader-in-chief of the mysteries, who is the genius of Demeter.

the Eleusinian. Thus "Bacchus was directly called upon," he says. The Sabazian worship was Sabbatic; the names Evius, or Hevius, and Luaios are identical with Hivite and Levite.

The French name Louis is the Hebrew Levi; Iacchus again is Iao or Jehovah; and Baal or Adon, like Bacchus, was a phallic god.

The Mari texts are important in the history of prophecy because they reveal that inspired prophecy in the ancient Middle East dates back 1,000 years before Amos and Hosea (8th century BC) in Israel.

Iamblichus wrote Of the Hebrew Kadeshim and the Eleusinian. "Who shall ascend into the hill (the high place) of the Lord?" asks the holy king David, "who shall stand in the place of his Kadushu [[Heb char]]"? (Psalms xxiv. 3). Kadesh may mean in one sense to devote, hallow, sanctify, and even to initiate or to set apart; but it also means the ministers of lascivious rites (the Venus-worship) and the true interpretation of the word Kadesh is bluntly rendered in Deuteronomy xxiii. 17; Hosea iv. 14; and Genesis xxxviii., from verses 15 to 22. The "holy" Kadeshuth of the Bible were identical as to the duties of their office with the Nautch-girls of the later Hindu pagodas.

Nay, rather, to speak out more truly, the augurs, the dream interpreters, the soothsayers, the prophets, and the priestlings, ever vain, have devised these fables;

for they, fearing that their own arts be brought to nought,
and that they may
extort but scanty contributions from the devotees, now few and infrequent,

whenever they have found you to be willing that their craft should come into disrepute, cry aloud, the Gods are neglected,
........... and in the temples there is now a very thin attendance.

For ceremonies are exposed to derision,
........... and the time-honoured rites of institutions once sacred
.......... have sunk before the superstitions of new religions.

And men--a senseless race--being unable, from their inborn blindness, to see even that which is placed in open light,
dare to assert in their frenzy what you in your sane mind do not blush to believes."

"In ancient Mesopotamia its main purpose appears to have been the enhancement of what was seen as beneficial. With the sole exception of wisdom literature,

the core genres are panegyric in nature (i.e.,
they praise something or someone),
and the
magical power and use of praise
is to
instill, call up, or activate the virtues presented in the praise.

"That praise is of the essence of hymns, for instance, is shown by the fact that over and over again the encomiast, the official praiser, (See Kantor, Precenter, Worship Leader) whose task it was to sing these hymns,

closed with the standing phrase: "O [the name of a deity or human hero], thy praise is sweet." The same phrase is common also at the end of myths and epics, two further praise genres that also belonged in the repertoire of the encomiast.

"They praise not only in description but also in narrative,
by recounting acts of valour done by the hero,

thus sustaining and enhancing his power to do such deeds,
according to the magical view.

"Sometimes religion produces suggestive rituals shared by a community to create an atmosphere useful for uplifting one's thoughts and coming to one's senses. There are those who cannot do without such forms of worship. Where, however, the form takes the place of meditation, or conditions it; where human words prevail over the Spirit.. then we are no longer in the presence of true religion.

"The one who uses colours and sounds and forms and movements and other gifts of God under the illusion of creating a stairway to heaven out of his own resources can, even involuntarily and in good faith, be raising an invisible barrier between humanity and God himself. The people of Israel were all shook up when they heard God at Mount Sinai.  They refused to listen to God and fell into Instrumental idolatry.  The Levites volunteered to execute 3,000 of the "brethren" and were given the command to stand in ranks, make a great noise as a warning and to execute anyone not already abandoned to worship the starry host.

This year we surpassed our foreign missionary goal. We are in the process of securing additional missionaries in the United States and abroad. Also, we are attempting to expand our national and international mission works. Every year we take five hundred or more people from Highland to various sites to work with our missionaries and churches.

The command of individuals or by twos to go into all the world and PREACH the Gospel. His command was to command them to teach and observe what HE commanded to be taught. This is defined inclusively in Isaiah and other prophecies and Jesus certified the prophecies. One might suggest that send out massed multitudes is not the divine pattern and will undoubtedly teach them to do what Jesus did NOT command and all of the Bible condemns.

One of the passages quoted by Luther in connection with the synagogue in Romans 15 which with all recorded history denounces music which replaces the Word is Micah which is the VOICE of the VICTIM where music derived from mystery means to "silence the voice of the victim."
Micah 2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
Micah 2:2 And they covet fields,
and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away:
so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
Micah 2:3 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil.
Micah 2:4 In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled:
he hath changed the portion of my people:
how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.
Micah 2:5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.
Micah 2:6 Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame.

Prophesying or those saying Lord, Lord is singing and playing instruments and claiming God as their author.

The gods speak out their usual trash.
An ode, not to the Piper known,

Which he was order'd to repeat,
And which was closed with this conceit--
"Receive with joy, O loyal Rome,
Thy Prince just rescued from his tomb."

At which my most facetious chap
Kisses his hand, and scrapes and bows

The fool's mistake, and high in joke,

Which ended, flat upon the board

The Piper falls, the knights acclaim;
The people think that Prince's aim
Is for a crown of bays at least.
Now all the seats perceived the jest,

And with his bandage white as snow,
White frock, white pumps, a perfect beauty
Proud of the feats he had achieved,
And these high honours he received,
With one unanimous huzza,
Poor Prince was kick'd out of the play.

In the Bible, credit is assigned to antediluvian patriarchs, for example, the descendants of Cain in Genesis 4:21. There is no other biblical tradition about the invention of musical instruments." The Spirit OF Christ defined the spiritual assembly both inclusively and exclusively beginning with The Church of Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness which never changed. Both ekklesia and synagogue words defines the RESOURCE: the people who assemble hear the document read and discuss it.  The Synagogue spoke of the syllogism where the people came to an agreement.  There is nothing left for elders as Pastor-Teachers but to put out the cunning craftsmen or sophist so that everyone can understand the Word.  This assembly is defined many times if one can read the whole context.

Letter CLXIV1 Leo, the bishop [440-461], to Leo Augustus.

II. In Matters of Faith Human Rhetoric is Out of Place.

For if it be always free for human fancies to assert themselves in dispute, there never will be wanting men who will dare to oppose the Truth, and to put their trust in the glib utterances of this world's wisdom, whereas the Christian Faith and wisdom knows from the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ Himself how strictly it ought to shun this most harmful vanity.

For when Christ was about to summon all nations to the illumination of the Faith, He chose those who were to devote themselves to the preaching of the Gospel not from among philosophers or orators, but took humble fishermen as the instruments by which He would reveal Himself,

lest the heavenly teaching, which was of itself full of mighty power, should. seem to need the aid of words.

Athenian Law would not allow a poet or philosopher to be a herald (elder-presbyter, preacher-kerusso) because they couldn't resist rewriting the message and charging for it on the receiving end.

And hence the Apostle protests and says, "For Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach the Gospel, not in wisdom of words lest the cross of Christ should be made void; for the word of the cross is to them indeed that perish foolishness, but to those which are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and the prudence of the prudent will I reject. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the inquirer of this age? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world3 ?"

For rhetorical arguments and clever debates of man's device make their chief boast in this, that in doubtful matters which are obscured by the variety of opinions they can induce their hearers to accept that view which each has chosen for his own genius and eloquence to bring forward; and thus it happens that what is maintained with the greatest eloquence is reckoned the truest. But Christ's Gospel needs not this art; for in it the true teaching stands revealed by its own light: nor is there any seeking for that which shall please the ear, when to know Who is the Teacher is sufficient for true faith.

We have a play defining what happens when the women infiltrate and divert the Ekklesia

Romans 14 prohibits Doubtful disputations or private opinions which did not edify which in this context means EDUCATE.

We know in great details what Jesus and Paul defined as the practices of the marketplace or Agora where pagan temples were located and speakers preached and singers sang and harpist harps and as Parasites sold more than their talent.
