10.08.21   I will add Miriam from John T. Willis

John.T.Willis Thesis for Women Preachers: "Huldah and other prophetesses are commended in the Bible for their prophetic work. In view of the divinely approved role of women as God's servants, it is important that these commendations be understood accurately."

LET'S BEGIN WITH ONE STATEMENT WHICH PROVES THAT JOHN T. WILLIS COLLECTS PROOF TEXTS BUT HAS NOT READ HOLY SCRIPTURE.

In harmony with this portrait of Miriam, “the prdphet Micah (6:4) regards her as a DIVINELY COMMISSIONED  leader ALONGSIDE Moses and Aaron during the wilderness journey.

John.T.Willis Asserts that: "The Lord spoke through HER just as he spoke through Moses and Aaron (Num 12:2)".

IS THIS A DELIBERATE FALSEHOOD! IT IS BLASPHEMY--DESPISING THE WORD.

This is the Highland Church and ACU's rationale for calling Jesus, in His STATE of Holy Spirt and Paul liars. In all of the SILENT WOMEN (mostly) passages, Paul's rationale was that women and a few effeminate males claimed that THE TRUTH BEGAN WITH THEM.

THIS IS ONE OF SEVERAL "THUS SAITH THE LAW" BEGINNING WITH EVE, MOTHER OF CAIN WHO  WAS OF THAT WICKED ONE.

Num. 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake AGAINST Moses
        because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married:
        for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
Pl. Per. 2.2 Feminam scelestam te astans contra contuor.

MIRIAM'S LIE IS JOHN T. WILLIS' AUTHORITY FOR WOMEN TO STAND ALONGSIDE MEN AGAINST THE WORD OF GOD.

John T. Willis says: Num. 12:2 And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses?

        hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it.

THE LORD HEARS ALL THEOLOGIANS FROM WHOM GOD HIDES, SAYS JESUS. The wise or sophists are SPEAKERS in place of God, Singers, instrument players, actors or PAY TO PLAY.

Num. 12:3 (Now the man Moses was very meek,

        above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
Num. 12:4 And the LORD spake SUDENLY unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam,
        "Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation.
        And they three came out.
Num. 12:5 And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud,
        and stood in the door of the tabernacle,
        and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

Num. 12:6 And he said, Hear now MY WORDS.:  [Dabar, Logos, Regulative Principle]

        IF there be a prophet among you,
        I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a VISION,
        and will speak unto him in a dream.

Therefore, we should grasp that God denied that Miriam was His PROPHETESS.  We know that Miriam, as a defacto princess, had been a Prophetess of Hathor the female APIS or the Golden Calf. Any one interested in the Bible would be able to define the EGYPTIAN prophetess meaning a SOOTHSAYER-SORCERESS

TO ALL OF THE SUDDEN END-TIME ADVERSARIES OF CHRIST AND HIS WORD---

Num. 12:7 My servant Moses is not so, who is FAITHFUL in all mine hous

The meaning of SPIRIT (never a person) is defined by God Himself]

Num. 12:8 With him will I speak MOUTH TO MOUT

        even apparently, and not in dark speeches; a
        and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold:
        wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

FACT : WHY ARE ALL OF THE APOSTATE THEOLOGIANS NOT AFRAID?

Num. 12:9 And the ANGER [RAGE] of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.

Num. 12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle;
        and, BEHOLD, MIRIAM BECAME LEPROUS, WHITE AS SNOW.
        and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

THE INSTRUMENTAL-TRINITARIAN-PERVERTED IDOLATRY WAS BEYOND REDEMPTION.  Moses promised that they would be blind and deaf until ANOTHER Prophet arrives.

FACT 2: JOHN T. WILLIS DID NOT KNOW ABOUT DEUTERONOMY

Deut. 24:8 Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently,
        and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you:
        as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do.
Deut. 24:9 Remember what the LORD thy God did unto Miriam by the way,
        after that ye were come forth out of Egypt.

Jesus defined Holy Scripture as the PROPHETS and other prophecies CONCERNING ME

FACT 3:

Mic. 6:1  Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise,
        contend
thou before the mountains, and let the hills HEAR THY VOICE

Command for women AND men.

Mic. 6:2 Hear ye, O mountains,
        the LORD’S controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth:
        for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel.

Mic. 6:3 O my people, what have I done unto thee?
        and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me.

Mic. 6:4 For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt,
        and redeemed thee out of the house of servants;
        and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Mic. 6:5 O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted,
         and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal;
        that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD.

Mic. 6:6 Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

Mic. 6:7 Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

Mic. 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee,
         but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Mic. 6:9 The LORD’S VOICE crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.

1. Aaron made the golden calf and allowed Instrumental-Trinitarian-Perverted Idolatry.
2. Aaron ignored the command to SPEAK what MOSES told him to Speak
3. Aaron and Miriam USURPED the authority of MOSES and claimed special revelation. Miriam as a PROPHETESS is defined as a Soothsayer-Sorcereress.  She had been the chief PARASITE or the chief speaker as a defacto princess of Egypt

Gender-focused churches are not related to the Apostolic teaching nor to the historic Church of Christ. To say that Scripture from Genesis to Revelation and the danger of Mother Goddess worship has always and has now NEUTERED many churches of Christ so that their performance preaching and music calls forth a lot of ridicule.  They have to say that all of the Scriptures lie and simply did not understand OUR CULTURE.  At the same time they twist the Scriptures to say that what Paul outlawed did not prevent what THEY want to impose. This normally happens after a senior preacher has usurped all authority, intimidated the elders, fired the vocational ministers and HIRED female ministers.  Christ in Isaiah 3 defined this time perfectly where the women and BOYS or the effeminate (or worse) rule over you. Men have already violated the direct command to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for Comfort and Doctrine.

Paul wants everyone to PRAY FOR SILENCE AND PEACE.  Both male and female are ONE: Neither are said to have the right or command to LEAD a rote prayer just to perform the ACT OF WORSHIP.  Women also must pray IN THEIR HEART. Only then can the purpose be fulfilled that "all may be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.

Jesus said that "doctors of the Law take away the key to knowledged." He defined them as Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites. In the Ezekiel 33 example the Spirit OF Christ named "speakers, singers and instrument players." Because they were mercinary they had no intention of obeying the Word of God.  That is why those who call all of the evidence about a few bad women and Paul just flat liars and WE know better, strong delusions means that God will not let them read BLACK text on BROWN paper (2 Corinthians 3). That is why massive "scholarly" work has been done to UPDATE Paul's evil teaching but totally missed the CORE of keeping men from engaging in wrath (orgy) and women from TEACHING when the command is to PREACH the Word by READING the Word for education and comfort.  The CORE they do not intend to let happen is:

1Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

That's a fact: patterns repeat.  In Revelation 17 John warns against the Babylon Mother of Harlots. She uses lusted after fruits (same as in Amos) as speakers, singers and instrument players. The craftsmen are ANY and all religious teknokrats claiming to enhance what they  call "worship" by all of what Jesus called the hypocrites: speakers, singers and instrument players (Ezekiel 33).

Prophesying has many meanings: the only of what John Calls a supernatural gift meaning the Scriptures available at Corinth was that which had been provided by the Apostle Paul. Prophesying then was telling forth or teaching the Word by this supernatural gift bestowed by Paul.
1Corinthians 1:4 I thank my God always on your behalf,
        for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

The Grace of God (Jesus as Word) hath appeared TEACHING:

1Corinthians 1:5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him,
        in all utterance, and in all knowledge;

verbum , words, expressions, language, discourse, conversation,
logos Opposite your personal experiences, Opposite any aids, Opposite of poetry, Opposite of Music.
gnōsis , seeking to know, inquiry, investigation,

: The Testimony of Christ is the Spirit of prophecy (Rev 19:10)

1Corinthians 1:6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
1Corinthians 1:7 So that ye come behind in no gift;
        waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Corinthians 1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end,
        that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This gift which enabled prophesying by inspiration came by the teachings of Paul who as an apostle had the power to confer supernatural gifts but there is no evidence.
2Corinthians 12:11 I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.
2Corinthians 12:12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience,
        in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.
Acts 5:12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.
2Corinthians 12:13 For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches,
        except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong

That supernatural work ended when the Apostles or their writers finished their PARTS.

1Corinthians 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies,
        they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease;
        whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Tongues were known minor dialects. However, Paul was given the supernatural ability to speak in many minor dialects because he revealed the Mind of Christ by using real-life experiences. SPEAKING absolutely forbids any kind of musical or theatrical performance:

John calls them SORCERERS using a word pointing to the Babylon Mother Goddess: John said that they HAD deceived the whole world and they would be cast alive into the lake of fire.  The Spirit OF Christ issued the same warning in Isaiah 30: the marks in sight and sound of God driving His enemies into "hell" are the same wind, string and percussion instruments which Lucifer the singing and harp playing prostitute brought into the garden of Eden.  Lucifer is ZOE and also EVE as worshipped as the mediatrix to replace Jesus as the one mediator. The rise of the end-time women from the Methodist feminists and lesbians denies Christ and looks to Sophia (mother of Zoe) as their mediator. Silly males are forced to go along to get along.
Theophilus to Autolycus

This Eve, on account of her having been in the beginning deceived by the serpent, and become the author of sin, the wicked demon, who also is called Satan, who then spoke to her through the serpent, and who works even to this day in those men that are possessed by him, invokes as Eve.58 And he is called "demon" and "dragon," on account of his revolting from God. For at first he was an angel. And concerning his history there is a great deal to be said; wherefore I at present omit the relation of it, for I have also given an account of him in another place.

58 Referring to the bacchanalian orgies in which " Eva " was shouted, and which the Fathers professed to believe was an unintentional invocation of Eve, the authoress of all sin.

The word "abomination" is also key to understanding the context. In Hebrew, the word "to 'evah," (abomination) is almost invariably linked to idolatry. In the passages from which both verses are taken, God tells Moses to tell the people not to follow the idolatrous practices of the people around them, people who sacrificed their children to Molech, or who masturbated into the fire to offer their semen to Molech, for example. Chapter 20 starts off with the same warning.

"To 'evah" also means "something which is ritually unclean.

Catullus,Carmina 63     Notes
Thy timbrel, Mother Cybele, the firstings of thy rite,
And as her tender finger-tips on bull-back hollow rang
She rose a-grieving and her song to listening comrades sang.

"Up Gallae, hie together, haste for Cybele's deep grove,
Hie to the Dindymnean dame, ye flocks that love to rove;
The which affecting stranger steads as bound in exile's brunt
My sect pursuing led by me have nerved you to confront

The raging surge of salty sea and ocean's tyrant hand
As your hate of Venus' [ZOE] hest your
manly forms unmann'd,
Gladden your souls, ye mistresses, with sense of error bann'd.
Drive from your spirits dull delay, together follow ye
To hold of Phrygian goddess, home of Phrygian Cybebe,
Where loud the cymbal's voice resounds with timbrel-echoes blending,
And where the Phrygian piper drones grave bass from reed a-bending,

Where toss their ivy-circled heads with might the Maenades
Where ply mid shrilly lullilooes the holiest mysteries,
Where to fly here and there be wont the she-god's vaguing train,
Thither behoves us lead the dance in quick-step hasty strain."

It is impossible to be a Disciple of Christ through the Prophets and Apostles and the "memory" they left as their eye- and ear- witnesses and confirmed by supernatural signs and wonders and attempt to DECEIVE people by quoting isolated verses or the record of theologians or doctors of the Law whom Jesus said take away the key to knowledge.

PAGAN THESIS: "prophesying" by using the sounds of wind, string or percussion instruments is the world OLDEST profession.  A prophesier (not a prophet) gained a profession and became a parasite because he-she-it made people believe that they could help them ascend or descent into the presence of the gods.  History affirms that such people were emotionally or sexually abnormal. The Babylon thesis was that the god's made humans as labor-savings-devices.  The ziggurats in Babylon and the Jerusalem temple were places the serfs brought they food and money to make certain that the agents of the gods got them a good deal.

GOD'S UNIVERSAL ANTITHESIS

When israel rejected God's Word and fell back into the musical idolatry of the always-pagan trinity under the image of the golden calf, God turned them over to worship the starry host and sentenced them to return to beyond Babylon--meaning no return. Moses wrote the antithesis of the record on clay tablets which are the FOUNDATION on which all instrumental prophesying is built.

THE JACOB-CURSED AND GOD-ABANDONED LEVITE THESIS:

The serpent in the garden was not a snake: he-she-is was a Musical Enchanter(ess): the spirit OF Christ speaks of Lucifer the singing and harp-playing prostitute being cast as profane (that halal or praise word) with wind, string and percussion instruments. Miriam and the Levites were SOOTHSAYERS using the magic of musical sounds. The Levites stood in ranks to execute any godly person who came near the sacrificial system or into any "holy' place. They were under the King set over us (senior pastor) and the commanders of the army.

"She was "the sister of Moses, was the eldest of that sacred family; and she first appears, probably as a young girl, watching her infant brother's cradle in the Nile, (Exodus 2:4) and suggesting her mother as a nurse. ver. 7. After the crossing of the Red Sea "Miriam the prophetess" is her acknowledged title. ch. (Exodus 15:20) The prophetic power showed itself in her under the same form as that which it assumed in the days of Samuel and David, poetry, accompanied with music and processions. ch. (Exodus 15:1-19)

"She took the lead, with Aaron, in the complaint against Moses for his marriage with a Cushite, (Numbers 12:1,2) and for this was attacked with leprosy. This stroke and its removal, which took place at Hazeroth, form the last public event of Miriam's life. ch. (Numbers 12:1-15) She died toward the close of the wanderings at Kadesh, and was buried there. ch. (Numbers 20:1) (B.C. about 1452.) (Smith's Bible Dictionary)

THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST IN THE PROPHETS ANTITHESIS

The Spirit OF Christ denied that God commanded animal sacrifices or burnt offering which is the ACU pattern for commanding instrumental praisers or PROPHESIERS.  In the prophets the Civil-Military-Clergy complex are called ROBBERS and PARASITES.

Peter said that Jesus Whom God made to be both Lord and Christ made the prophecies MORE CERTAIN.  After that, these prophecies which define a Church of Christ both inclusively and exclusively are no longer subject to private interpretation or further expounding. That "filling in the presumed silences" with human imagination was left as THE MARK of a false teacher even as being ignorant of the Prophets marks a false prophet then and now.

THE ACU THESIS OF WOMEN PROPHETS OUTED

The Spirit OF Christ defined the Jewish Women Lamenting for Tammuz while the men held the first Sun-Rise service as SUN WORSHIP to which God had abandoned them.  In Ezekiel 13 the Spirit OF Christ CONDEMNED women prophesiers.

Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people,
        which
prophesy out of their own heart;
        and prophesy thou against them, Eze 13:17

And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows (seductive suggestion) to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you? Ezekiel13:18

The nature of prophecy is twofold: either inspired (by visions or revelatory auditions), or acquired (by learning certain techniques). In many cases both aspects are present. The goal of learning certain prophetic techniques is to reach an ecstatic state in which revelations can be received. That state might be reached through the use of music, dancing, drums, violent bodily movement, and self-laceration. The ecstatic prophet is regarded as being filled with the divine spirit, and in this state the deity speaks through him.

Ecstatic oracles, therefore, are generally delivered by the prophet in the first-person singular pronoun and are spoken in a short, rhythmic style. (See inspiration, revelation, ecstasy.)

That prophets employing ecstatic techniques have been called madmen is accounted for by descriptions of their loss of control over themselves when they are "possessed" by the deity. Prophets in ecstatic trances often have experienced sensations of corporeal transmigration (such as the 6th-century-BC Old Testment prophet Ezekiel and the 6th-7th-century-AD founder of Islam, Muhammad). Such prophets are believed to have a predisposition for such unusual sensations.

Greek: ekstasis, "to stand outside of or transcend [oneself ]"), in mysticism, the experience of an inner vision of God or of one's relation to or union with the divine. Various methods have been used to achieve ecstasy, which is a primary goal in most forms of religious mysticism. The most typical consists of four stages:

(1) purgation (of bodily desire);
(2)
purification (of the will);
(3)
illumination (of the mind); and
(4)
unification (of one's being or will with the divine).

Other methods are: dancing (as used by the Mawlawiyah, or whirling dervishes, a Muslim Sufi sect); the use of sedatives and stimulants (as utilized in some Hellenistic mystery religions); and the use of certain drugs, such as peyote, mescaline, hashish, LSD, and similar products (in certain Islamic sects and modern experimental religious groups).

Most mystics, both in the East and in the West, frown on the use of drugs because no permanent change in the personality (in the mystical sense) has been known to occur.

In certain ancient Israelite prophetic groups, music was used to achieve the ecstatic state, in which the participants, in their accompanying dancing, were believed to have been seized by the hand of Yahweh, the God of Israel, as in the case of Saul, the 11th-century-bc king of Israel.

The Pythia (priestess) of the Greek oracle at Delphi often went into an ecstatic state during which she uttered sounds revealed to her by the python (the snake, the symbol of resurrection), after drinking water from a certain spring.

Her "words" were then interpreted by a priest to help a suppliant find a way to avoid calamities, especially death. In primitive religions, ecstasy was a technique highly developed by shamans, religious personages with healing and psychic-transformation powers, in their "soul," or "spirit," flights. (See Delphic oracle.) "ecstasy" Encyclopζdia Britannica Online

Nevertheless DOUG HURLEY and the ACU end-time pattern under female domination who says "if WE train women ministers THEY will be forced to find roles for them."

As they waited, the promised Holy Spirit descended with power upon them. "Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting" (Acts 2:2).1 Jews from every nation who had come to Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost gathered around. Amazement seized each of them as they heard Galileans speaking in their own respective languages. Some wondered what it all meant, and others made fun of the spectacle, claiming the disciples were simply drunk. Surely, it must have appeared so.

The Wind is BREATH which is THE meaning of Jesus Christ pouring out that which you see and hear.

DOUG HURLEY:   Peter, outspoken among the disciples, stepped forward to explain publicly the miraculous occurrence tha t the Lord, on tha first Easter, had said would occur (Acts 2:14-21). He explained to his fellow Jews that what they were witnessing was actually the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy, not drunken carousing.

However, Peter stood up with the eleven meaning Apostles.  The speaking in tongues was an affront to the Hebrews who held that one should speak about their God only in the native language. Paul was speaking to ALL NATIONS.  Since there was no prophesying other than teaching at Pentecost--not holy Ishtar day--the problem applied only to the twelve MEN.

DOUG HURLEY:  Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say. These men are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: "In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy ... " (Acts 2:14b-18)

Do not be mislead by proof texting or Theology-Speak: It was Jesus who received the PROMISE OF THE SPIRIT which means that He received His commission or Evangelistic Role as the Holy Spirit or the audible MIND of God guiding the APOSTLES only into all truth. These SIGNS will spell the doom of the nation of Israel and spell the absolute end of the Prophets speaking by the Spirit of Christ.  It would be the Son of God which trinitarians call the WORD OF GOD when God speaks to whom we must listen. ACU seem doomed to bringing down the end time MARK OF THE BEAST (a new style of music and drama) on anyone willing.

There were no women who stood up or spoke.

DOUG HURLEY: What exactly did Peter have in mind by quoting the book of Joel? How did he view this day, and how did he see Joel's words fitting into the occurrences of the start of the Christian church? Did Peter suddenly envision an egalitarian world where men and women were equal partners in ministry, specifically in prophecy?

No: he signaled the end of the almost unique WOMEN PROPHESIERS: Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites. In the Ezekiel example the Spirit OF Christ identified self-preachers, singers and instrument players. This would be the supernatural sign that they were being cast down as burden laders (singers, preachers, players).

The baptism of Spirit (Wind) and Fire was promised to the Viper Race whom John refused to baptized.  Christ called it the Spirit OF fire and the spirit OF judgment.

Does Doug Hurley believe that he and others prophesy in the sense of being PROPHETS? Joel by the Spirit OF Christ was not defining a future ministry of both male and female.  Joel and Peter were speaking about a baptism of WIND (not a spirit person) and FIRE: A spirit OF fire and a spirit OF Judgment.  Those who heard the BREATH of God and obeyed would be saved: those who refused to be baptized would soon be baptized with FIRE and judgment.

The qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ (the Rock) was defined both inclusively and exclusively. It eleminated egalitarianism because Exodus 18 before the fall into the musical idolatry of an always-pagan Egyptian trinity assigned the PREACHING by TEACHING role down to as few as 10 males or heads of families.

The Synagogue specificially OUTLAWED vocal or instrumental rejoicing or elevated form of Rhetoric--the first meaning of a hypocrite.  Therefore, when that happened on the day of Pentecost it was the end of the road for most of the Jews especially the clergy.

Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain:
        let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

H7321 rua roo-ah' A primitive root; to mar (especially by breaking); figuratively to split the ears (with sound), that is, shout (for alarm or joy):blow an alarm, cry (alarm, aloud, out), destroy, make a joyful noise, smart, shout (for joy), sound an alarm, triumph.

This was OUTLAWED in the synagogue or Church of Christ in the wilderness.  Psalm 41 prophesied that Judas would try to TRIUMPH OVER Messiah.  The Judas Bag was for carrying the mouthpieces of wind instruments. The SOP has the same root meaning as PSALLO. Therefore, when you heard the PSALLO word for the first time in history used to impose instruments, it was the SIGN that people would begin to TRIUMPH OVER the Word of Jesus Christ.

H7322 ruph roof A primitive root; properly to triturate [SOP] (in a mortar), that is, (figuratively) to agitate (by concussion):--tremble.

millstone

H7264 ragaz raw-gaz' A primitive root; to quiver (with any violent emotion, especially anger or fear):--be afraid, stand in awe, disquiet, fall out, fret, move, provoke, quake, rage, shake, tremble, trouble, be wroth.

Tremble:

H7265 regaz reg-az' (Chaldee); corresponding to H7264 provoke unto wrath.

H7267 rτgez ro'-ghez From H7264 ; commotion, restlessness (of a horse), crash (of thunder), disquiet, anger:fear, noise, rage, trouble, (-ing), wrath.

Joel 2:2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

Joel 2:3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

Hebrews 12 prophesied another END-TIME shaking like that at Mount Sinai when the Israelites were abandoned to captivity and death in Babylon BECAUSE of musical idolatry. At this time history is certain that this musical PROPHESYING with instruments is called SOOTHSAYING. The Levites as the pattern for musical worship teams were also soothsayer-sorcerers performing exorcism on the not-commanded sacrifices.

DOUG HURLEY: Furthermore, toward what did Joel's prophecy point? In this examination of Joel 2 and its use in Acts 2, we seek to gain some insight into the meaning of God's pouring out his Spirit upon all people, both men and women, who in turn will prophesy. As noted above, the context for Peter's quotation of Joel 2 was the gathering of

The Spirit OF God is the BREATH of God or the threshing wind which will separate the godly and burn up the "prophesiers" or witch. The identifying signs of JUDGMENT to the Jews was of WIND and FIRE. A spirit person did not rush into their bodies. Jesus returned as Holy Spirit and "poured out that which you SEE and HEAR." He returned to "guide them into all truth." The sign was JUDGMENT when the elders fired God and demanded a king (pastor) ser over us.

1Samuel 10:5 After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy:

Timothy was already "wise unto salvation". Timothy was a prophet or teacher WITH the hands of the presbyters and BY the hands of Paul. There can be no latter day prophets since there are no more APOSTLES unless ACU is into the Missional Church restoring the five-fold ministry REPUDIATING Jesus Christ:

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners
        spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
1Peter 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently,
        who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Peter 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ

which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ,
         and the glory that should follow.
Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,
        whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
How can one have ever read either Joel or Hebrews and think that FEMALE PROPHETS deserve to be on the DOLE alongside self-preachers for which there is no ROLE either.
Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory,
        and the express image of his person,
        and upholding all things by the word of his power,
        when he had by himself purged our sins,
        sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
The Church is built upon (educated) by the Prophets and Apostles: Peter said that the Spirit OF (preposition) spoke through the Prophets and Jesus made the prophecies more certain. They are THE teaching resource and He will not tolerate any help.  Peter said that this was not subject to private interpretation or further expounding. Those who do not rely SOLELY on that PART which Peter and others left are to be MARKED as false teachers.

Up to a million Jews were killed and tossed into "hell" to be consumed on a bed of maggots. Not a single Levite as far as we know escaped.  The Jews are still looking for the HARPS so they can RELIGHT the sacrificial fires in a blood and flesh lust.

Joel 2:27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel,
       and that I am the LORD [Jehovah] your God [Elohim],
       and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

The seven Spirits which would rest UPON Messiah or the Branch were all forms of Divine Knowledge (Isaiah 11:1-4) connected to the fact that God will not judge acording to His EARS or His EYES.

Pr 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity?
        and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

A parallelism:

Turn you at my reproof: behold,
        I will pour out my spirit unto you,
        I will make known my
words unto you. Proverbs 1:23

Paul in 2 Cor 3 said that until you turn or are converted to Christ you will not be able to hear the words of God.
Both Jesus and Luke in Acts shows that conversion happens at baptism (only)

When Jesus is said to have the Spirit without measure, the parallelism is that "He spoke the very words of God."

In Proverbs 1:23 having the Spirit OF God means that we have the Word of God made readable.

Isaiah and Amos prove that it was MUSIC which starved the people for the water of the Word.

For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty,

I will pour my spirit upon thy seed,

DOUG HURLEY:  "God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven" who heard in amazement the Galilean disciples speaking in their own language.' C. K. Barrett is hesitant to see the listing of the horne nations of the Jews as representing the gathering of the Gentiles to Mount Zion, which would anticipate the End.' He suggests that 2:39 really means that the promise is for you (Palestinian Jews) and for those who are far off (Diaspora Jews). Countering this view, Van de Sant feels that the Jews from the Diaspora "seem to be central to this pericope and to act as representatives of the world population."" The list then represents the world population that was potentially present at the day of Pentecost. Certainly, it would appear that the multiethnic crowd serves as a precursor to Jesus' claim that the apostles' preaching would begin at Jerusalem but end up going out to all nations.

The Great Commission speaks only to those with a GO button: willing to go, preach, baptize, suffer and die.  Theology is what Jesus called the Doctors of the Law who take away the Key to Knowlege.

Acts 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons,
        which the Father hath put in his own power.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power,
        after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
        and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria,
        and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

This fulfilled the PROPHECY by the Spirit OF Christ.

Matthew 28:17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying,
        All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
        baptizing them in the name [singular] of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
        and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

There is no statute of limitations on the Word of Christ or the RULERSHIP and sole Teacher for His Body, the church. Not even superior males are permitted to SPEAK ON THEIR OWN: Christ outlawed this in Isaiah 58 and Jesus said that is the identifying mark of the SONS OF THE DEVIL.  The Church of Christ is built upon (educated) the Prophets and Apostles: the Spirit OF Christ guided them into all truth. There is nothing for anyone else to say.

DOUG HURLEY: On them I will pour out my Spirit Although these verses closely parallel Ezekiel's message (Ezek 36:26; 39:29), only the Joel passage stresses that it is the Spirit of God, not the man or the woman, that is the source of the prophetic activity."

We have an UHholy spirit: When sin is removed from OUR spirit then we have A holy spirit.  God's Spirit does not guide you "beyond the sacred pages" but if your spirit is A holy spirit you CANNOT even hallucinate USING women to get a NEW set of commands. Both Alexander Campbell and Walter Scott prove that it is OUR spirit which will be made int A holy spirit so that we can hear or read the text.

Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

This is clearly an INTERNAL thing because the ceremonial washings could not give you A clean conscience or A holy spirit.

Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and A new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

God does His supernatural "sprinkling" when we obey in baptism. The sprinkling is done in the heart:

Heb.10:2 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith,

having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience,
and our
bodies washed with pure water.

Jesus knew about Ezekiel because the prophets wrote by the Spirit of Christ. Jesus showed that the FULFILMENT would be at baptism:

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

The same Peter said that this fulfills the TYPE of the Ark in the flood:

1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the request for A good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you,
         and cause you to walk in my statutes,
        and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Jesus said My WORDS are SPIRIT and they are LIFE. Spirit OF Christ means the spirit which BELONGS to Christ. His Spirit is His Mind and He put His Mind into His Words.

Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. Isa 58:14

DOUG HURLEY:  in Joel, the Spirit of God is seen as "impelling prophets to utter instruction or warning."lO Concerning the Spirit's ability to inspire prophetic speech, Micah proclaims, "But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the LORD, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, to Israel his sin" (Mic 3:8).

The writing prophets spoke by the Spirit OF Christ.  Notice that Micah uses the preposition OF. We all know that the Spirit OF the Lord is not another person or "people."

Micah was a writing prophet: He spoke by the Spirit OF Christ: no one at ACU is a prophet. Micah speaks of FOR HIRE prophets.

Micah 3:1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob,
        and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
Micah 3:2 Who hate the good, and love the evil;
        who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
Micah 3:3 Who also eat the flesh of my people,
        and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones,
        and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
Micah 3:4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them:
        he will even hide his face from them at that time,
         as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

Micah 3:5 Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err,
        that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace;
        and he that putteth not into their mouths,
        they even prepare war against him.
Micah 3:6 Therefore night shall be unto you,
        that ye shall not have a vision;
        and it shall be dark unto you,
                 that ye shall not divine;
                 and the sun shall go down over the prophets,
                and the day shall be dark over them.
Micah 3:7 Then shall the seers be ashamed,

Not speaking of DOUG HURLEY:

Micah 3:8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD,
        and of judgment,
        and of might,
        to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
Micah 3:9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob,

Micah 3:10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
Micah 3:11 The heads thereof judge for reward,
        and the priests thereof teach for hire,
        and the prophets thereof divine for money:
        yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us?
        none evil can come upon us.

Micah 3:12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field,
        and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

DOUG HURLEY: The Spirit is the great equalizer, and the general Christian community is the recipient of what God has poured out on all flesh (Rom 5:5).

That's true: He commanded EVERYONE to sit down, shut up, read the word and discuss the Word (only).  The pulpit held up the Bible Scrolls in the synagogue: it did not hold up a preacher.  Paul commanded Timothy how to hold synagogue and it took many centuries before sermonizers began to take over and get rich because special pleading was much more fun than listening to the PREACHING of the WORD by Reading the Word: That's the pattern. Remember the death of Jesus in the Lord's Supper and that SILENCES ll self-speak.

Jesus said my WORDS are SPIRIT and LIFE: Spirit was ministered by Paul by PREACHING.  The SPIRIT in the never-musical passage of Ephesians 5:19 is the WORD OF CHRIST in the never-musical passage of Colossians 3:16.

Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand,
        and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
Romans 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed;
        because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts
        by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Paul said that:
The Holy Spirit
        is to God
What our spirit
        is to us.
But WE have the MIND of Christ.
The Mind of Christ is the Spirit of Christ. When we have the MIND of Christ we have the WORDS of Christ and we know that we have the love of God.

The prophets of Baal and Asherah under JEZEBEL identifies the FEMALE effort to overcome the Word of God.  These prophesiers used music and drove themselves into a frenzy (female prophesying) and often WOUNDED themselves.  In Zechariah 13 the Spirit OF Christ proves that the PROPHESYING during the formation of the church would be a supernatural sign.  If any of the female prophesiers or old men seeing visions prophesied AFTER that proof of Christ's mission their parents were commanded to KILL THEM.  A person who claims to be a prophet and cannot prove it must be killed says scripture.

ZECHARIAH 13 PROVES THAT THE WOMEN PROPHESIERS AND THE RARE MALE PROPHESIER WILL BE CUT OUT AND PURGED LIKE DUNG.

In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness. Zech 13:1

The word of Yahweh came to me again, saying, [2] What do you mean, that you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge? [5] But if a man is just, and does that which is lawful and right, [6] and has not eaten on the mountains, neither has lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither has defiled his neighbor's wife, neither has come near to a woman in her impurity,

The women were taught and believed that the smell and tast of menstrual blood worked MAGIC.  That was the meaning of the pagan Agapae.  The only way to guarantee that this does not happen -- as among Methodist feminists and lesbials -- is to PERMIT NOT women any preside over roles which will ALWAYS work the magic of forcing the males to submit to a MUSICAL SERVICE known to work only on females and effeminate males.

MENSTRUAL UNCLEANNESS REMOVED

See a Summary on the Agapae

Based on the origins of the Agapae and the Marzeah we know that menstrual blood was worshipped and must be a part of the worship of the goddesses.  Uncleanness therefore had a broader meaning than simple impurity.

"Almost every part of the female genitals eventually became personified as a Goddess, as did the fluids associated with them. The hymen was no exception, ruled by an eponymous Goddess later considered an emanation of Aphrodite.

She carried a torch in one hand, a flute in the other, and wore a crown of flowers, symbol of sexual self-knowledge and maturity. Hymen is the Greek word for veil, the same one that 'no man draws asunder' among the Amazon Goddesses Athena, Medusa, and Neith.

"Menstrual blood was the original blood shed on the honeymoon, once a literal month. The connection between bees, fertility, and sexuality begins here. In Greek bees are called 'hymenoptera' veil winged. At Eryx in Sicily, Aphrodite was represented by a honeycomb, and the priestesses were called Mellisae.

They presided over sexual and funerary rites, using honey and wax for embalming prior to burial in catacombs and beehive shaped mounds.

"The power and sanctity of menstrual blood 'Moon honey' was enshrined even in Olympian myths, for all oaths were sworn by the Goddess Styx, ruler and personification of the stream of Gaea's menstrual blood. Ambrosia and nectar were originally a mixture of honey and menstrual fluid provided by Aphrodite and/or Hera. Long after Hymen was masculinized in a piece or profoundly ridiculous revision, the Goddess was invoked by calling 'O Hymen, Hymenie!' exclusively by women. Source

The Ophites (from the Greek word ophis

Specific Article

"serpent") reinterpreted the mythological theme of the Fall of Man in Genesis. According to the Ophite view, the serpent of the Garden of Eden wanted Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, to eat from the tree of knowledge (gnosis) so that they would know their true identities and "be like God" (Genesis 3:5). The serpent, thus, is interpreted as a messenger of the spiritual god, and the one who wanted to prevent Adam and Eve from eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge is viewed as the Demiurge. In their rejection of the God of the Old Testament, who gave the Ten Commandments, the Ophites flaunted their sexual freedom from the law and conventionality by extreme sexual license, a trait common to other Gnostic groups as well.

The Phibionites in Alexandria were a Gnostic sect described by Epiphanius. They gathered at banquets that became ecstatic orgies. Married couples changed partners for dramatic sexual performances. Sperm and menstrual blood were gathered and offered as a gift to God before being consumed as the Body and Blood of Christ. By such erotic communions they sought to regather the elements of the world-soul (psyche) from the material forms into which it had been dispersed through a cosmic tragedy at the beginning of time. The regathering amounted to salvation, for all things would be gathered up into the one glorious body of Christ.

On Menstrual Blood:

"Another name for the agape was synesaktism, "the Way of Shaktism," meaning Tantric yoni-worship. Synesaktism was declared a heresy before the 7th centuryA.D.53 Subsequently the "love-feast" disappeared,

and women were forbidden direct participation in Christian worship, according to St. Paul's rule (1 Timothy 2:11-12).

Epiphanius described the agape practiced by Ophite Christians, while making it clear that these heretical sexual activities filled him with horror:

"Their women they share in common; and when anyone arrives who might be alien to their doctrine, the men and women have a sign by which they make themselves known to each other. When they extend their hands, apparently in greeting, they tickle the other's palm in a certain way and so discover whether the new arrival belongs to their cult. Husbands separate from their wives, and a man will say to his own spouse,

"Arise and celebrate the love feast (agape) with thy brother."

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord of hosts,

        that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land,
        and they shall no more be remembered:
        and also I will cause the PROPHETS and the unclean [impurity] SPIRIT
        to pass out of the land. Zechariah 13:2

singular GALLUS, priests, often temple attendants or wandering mendicants, of the ancient Asiatic deity, the Great Mother of the Gods, known as Cybele, or Agdistis, in Greek and Latin literature. The galli were eunuchs attired in female garb, with long hair fragrant with ointment.

Together with priestesses, they celebrated the Great Mother's rites with wild music and dancing until their frenzied excitement found its culmination in self-scourging, self-laceration, or exhaustion. Self-emasculation by candidates for the priesthood sometimes accompanied this delirium of worship.

The name galli may be Phrygian, from the two streams called Gallus, both tributaries of the Sangarius (now Sakarya) River, the waters of which were said to inspire religious frenzy.

"raved, lost consciousness and rational ability, chanted, mutilated themselves and exhibited all kinds of abnormal behavior... these Nebhiim are to be identified with the prophets of Baal who exhibited such frenzied conduct on Mount Carmel (1 Sam. 10), the schools of the prophets under Elijah and Elisha (2 Ki. 2-6), and the band of four hundred prophets who were attached to King Ahab's court (1 Ki. 22)."

"All these texts point, explicitly or implicitly, to the fact that the dance had a musical accompaniment. Even though the Bible makes no mention of it we must assume that the movements of the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel were made with an accompaniment on certain musical instruments... (de Vaux, p. 242).

"There is an obvious satirical intent in the biblical story and we could find no better illustration of a similar attitude than a rather curious bas-relief in the Museo delle Terme in Rome which derides a ceremony of Isis. "In front of a row of images of the gods, men and women are dancing with grotesque contortions; their knees are all bent their heads thrown back and their arms upraised; they are holding castanets or the double flute. An aged choirmaster and a group of spectators mark time by clapping their hands." (de Vaux, p. 242).

What is the WAGES due to a man who blatantly lies TO GOD and lies ABOUT GOD.  If they claim that the "spirit person" TOLD them to sow discord and violate the whole history of music as polluting then that man is MARKED as worthy of death and no doubt, he is DEAD WHILE HE STILL LIVETH because there can be no redemption for such a person. DOUG HURLEY: Joel's Eschatological Vision The idea of the outpouring of God's Spirit extending to even the "manservants and maidservants" suggests the all-inclusiveness of the people of God (Exod 20:10, 17).

If Christ speaking through Joel heard anyone use "Eschatological Vision" they would be hurt REALLY BAD.

That was a SIGN: anyone who continued to prophesy (bowing to Baal) was to be executed by their parents.

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

The Lord (Jehovah) is the god (Elohim) who created all things. Exod 20:10
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exod 20:11

Exodus 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. Ac.3:23

DOUG HURLEY: Joel's vision certainly longed for a day when all people would be partakers of God's gracious gift and would use that gift to build up others.

The building up is eification or EDUCATION. Education happens when we use one mind and one mouth to speak that which is written for our learning.  Singing, preaching our of one's own imagination or a worship minister does NOT education. Music derived from mystery meant and does "make the lambs dumb before the slaughter."

the Bible it means instructing another person with the Word of Christ which He defined as the source of SPIRIT and LIFE. Notice how the word is defined in the Greek from resources normally not available or used by people who destroy rather than build up with the Word:

Aedificatio, III. Figurative, building up, instructing, edification. Absolute: loquitur ad Aedificationem Ecclesiae, Vulg. 1 Cor. 14, 12 ; ib. Eph. 4, 12.

The phrase loquitur ad Aedificationem Ecclesiae defines THE meaning of the ekklesia or church and the same METHOD excludes music of any kind--more later.

Here is what Paul said: Speak where sing or ODE also defines PSALMUS as Hebrew Cantillation which is SPEAKING with the normal range of the human voice--Only.

Demonstrations of Aphrahat

6. Therefore, brethren, because we know and have seen that from the beginning it was through woman that the adversary had access unto men,

and to the end he will accomplish it by her-
for she is the
weapon of Satan, and through her he fights against the champions.
Through her he
makes music at every time, for she became as a harp for him from the first day.

For because of her the curse of the Law was established, and because of her the promise unto death was made. For with pangs she bears children and delivers them to death. Because of her the earth was cursed, that it should bring forth thorns and tares.

19. Now thus is faith; when a man believes in God the Lord of all, Who made the heavens and the earth and the seas and all that is in them; and He made Adam in His image; and He gave the Law to Moses; He sent of His Spirit upon the prophets; He sent moreover His Christ into the world. Furthermore that a man should believe in the resurrection of the dead; and should furthermore also believe in the sacrament of baptism.

This is the faith of the Church of God. And (it is necessary) that a man should separate himself from the observance of hours and Sabbaths and moons and seasons, and divinations and sorceries and Chaldaean arts and magic, from fornication and from festive music, from vain doctrines, which are instruments of the Evil One, from the blandishment of honeyed words, from blasphemy and from adultery. And that a man should not bear false witness, and that a man should not speak with double tongue. These then are the works of the faith which is based on the true Stone which is Christ, on Whom the whole building is reared up.

DOUG HURLEY:  When Moses was told that Eldad and Medad were prophesying in the camp and that he should go stop them, he retorted, "Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the LORD'S people were prophets and that the LORD would put his Spirit on them!" (Num 11:29).

Prophesying is ALWAYS a prelude to God's Judgment: a Prophet speaks the Word of Christ.

Numbers 11:20 But even a whole month,
        until it come out at your nostrils,

Num 11:23 And the LORD said unto Moses, Is the LORD'S hand waxed short?
        thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not.

Num 11:24 And Moses went out, and told the people the words of the LORD, and gathered the seventy men of the elders of the people, and set them round about the tabernacle.
Num 11:25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass,
        that, when the spirit rested upon them,
        they prophesied, and did not cease.

The people BLASPHEMED God by denying that He could take care of them. The prophesying was/is always a sign of God's judgment.

DOUG HURLEY: Moses also longed for a time when the leaders among the people would not be just certain key individuals, but when all could partake in the ministry of prophecy. In Joel, "an age is anticipated in which the Spirit will endow not just designated individuals but the entire commumity."

Both God and moses was upset by the whining and murmuring: they had already been turned over to worship the starry host and sentenced to beyond Babylon meaning "no return."

"Where the Church after Christ believes herself able to recognize the goal of salvation history in legalistic piety and in hierarchical-liturgical activity,
        she is therefore in need of the same awakening as Israel."29
        Often the rebuke and admonishment of the Old Testament prophets toward Israel centered on the issues Wolff mentions.

Todays church likewise struggles with similar issues. Christians who "just go to church," are complacent, or rely on their ancestry or church affiliation as their righteousness before God need once again the stern warning of God's spokespersons.

Could it be that such spokespersons include women as well as men? When looking at the texts concerning God's gift of the Spirit, one cannot help but conclude that they do. "T

There is no evidence that anyone in Corinth had the slightest Gift OF CHRIST. Paul is REPUDIATING them and modern "scholars" who think that since EVERYONE SPEAKS IN TONGUES then everyone must have a direct operation of a Holy Spirit PERSON (people).

Aristoph. Ach. 551 everywhere are chaplets, sprats, flute-girls, black eyes; in the arsenal bolts are being noisily driven home, sweeps are being made and fitted with leathers; we hear nothing but the sound of whistles, of flutes and fifes to encourage the work-folk.

TIn the case, then, of those whose opinions are at variance with facts and who are deceived, this error evidently slips in through some resemblances. Then he who does not understand the real nature of things will not possess the art of making his hearers pass from one thing to its opposite by leading them through the intervening resemblances, or of avoiding such deception himself?
1Corinthians 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand,
        that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed:
        and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
Jesus commanded that we teach and observe what HE commanded to be taught and observed. That is because if one can read the text the PROPHETS spake in time past by the Spirit OF Christ.  Jesus as The Holy Spirit guided the apostles into all truth. All means all.  If you teach that we need PROPHETS especially WOMEN PROPHETS then you blaspheme (despise) the Spirit OF CHRIST in the prophets and apostles.

Hebrews 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners
        spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hebrews 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son,
        whom he hath appointed heir of all things,
        by whom also he made the worlds;
Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person,
        and upholding all things by the word of his power,
        when he had by himself purged our sins,
        sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

1John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us,
        because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world,
        that we might live through him.

The church needs men and women who will "rattle the cages" when there are people who need to be called to turn back to God in repentance. Hopefully, in our day we will realize Joel's vision of all God's people
        prophesying, dreaming, and receiving directives
from the Lord
        that can be passed on in encouragement
        and exhortation to brothers and sisters who will accept them with eager hearts.
        As Amos said, "The lion has roared - who will not fear? The Sovereign LORDhas spoken-who can but prophesy?"
        (Amos 3:8).

Peter MARKED those who do not receive the "memory" he and others left for our "memory" are false teachers.  When people hear voices or see visions we and all of the PROPHESYING literature marks them as insane or MANIACS.

John Calvin speaking for all Bible students

All the Principles of Piety Subverted By Fanatics, Who Substitute Revelations For Scripture.

(From Institutes of the Christian Religion Book One, Chapter Nine)
Sections:

1. The temper and error of the
Libertines, who take to themselves the name of spiritual, briefly described. Their refutation.
(a). The Apostles and all true Christians have embraced the written Word. This confirmed by a passage in Isaiah; also by the example and words of Paul.
(b). The Spirit of Christ seals the doctrine of the written Word on the minds of the godly.
(2) Refutation continued.
a) The impositions of Satan cannot be detected without the aid of the written Word. First Objection. The Answer to it.
1.The fanatics wrongly appeal to the Holy Spirit

Those who, rejecting Scripture, imagine that they have some peculiar way of penetrating to God, are to be deemed not so much under the influence of error as madness. For certain giddy men have lately appeared, who, while they make a great display of the superiority of the Spirit,
reject all reading of the Scriptures themselves, and deride the simplicity of those who only delight in what they call the dead and deadly letter.

But I wish they would tell me what spirit it is whose inspiration raises them to such a sublime height that they dare despise the doctrine of Scripture as mean and childish.
If they answer that it is the Spirit of Christ, their confidence is exceedingly ridiculous;
since they will, I presume, admit that the apostles and other believers in the primitive Church were not illuminated by any other Spirit.

None of these thereby learned to
despise the word of God, but every one was imbued with greater reverence for it, as their writings most clearly testify.

It is a certain fact that PROPHESYING as defined in all of scripture IS TAKING PLACE as we write: it is a MARK just as in the wilderness that God is pouring out His Wrath on people who despise the Word and think that ACU can manufacture prophets to whom we MUST be rattled and must obey.

Am 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid?
        shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

Am 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing,
        but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

The prophets are the Writing Prophets who spoke by the Spirit OF Christ. God spoke through the PROPHETS but now speaks only through his SON.

Am 3:8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear?
        the Lord GOD hath spoken,
        who can but prophesy?

The Lord spoke to Amos and Amos prophesied against wine, WOMEN and "singing in the temple." Amos calls them FRUITS just like the "lusted after fruits" under domination of the Babylon mother of harlots: her SORCERERS are self-speakers, singers and instrument players. When you HEAR that in A Church of Christ God is casting them still alive into the lake of fire.

Am 3:9 Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt,
        and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria,
        and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof,
        and the oppressed in the midst thereof.

călumnĭa  trickery, artifice, chicanery, cunning device.
2.  In discourse, etc., a misrepresentation, false statement, fallacy, cavil
3.  A false accusation, malicious charge, esp. a false or malicious information, or action at law, a perversion of justice

Tumults is the PAGAN prophesying which here is a CURSE imposed on those who tamper with the Word and REST Jesus died to give us: to free us FROM any presumptuous RATTLER of cages. Paul calls the Mad Women of Corinth mania or prophesiers.

insānĭa ,B. Of speech: “orationis,” Cic. Brut. 82, 284
C.
Poetic enthusiasm, rapture, inspiration: “auditis? an me ludit amabilis Insania?” Hor. C. 3, 4, 6.

It is INSANITY to play instruments or PLAY PROPHET when Jesus comes to teach when the elders teach that which has been taught.

lūdo B. To sport, dally, wanton (cf. "amorous play,
A. To sport, play with any thing, to practise as a pastime, amuse one's self with any thing:
“ludere opus,” to imitate work, make believe work, Esp., to play on an instrument of music, to make or compose music or song: “ludere quae vellem calamo permisit agresti,” Verg. E. 1, 10:
“quod tenerae cantent, lusit tua musa, puellae,” id. Am. 3, 1, 27
“carmina pastorum,” id. ib. 4, 565; Suet. Ner. 3

Hor. Od. 3.4
Come down, Calliope, from above:
Breathe on the pipe a strain of fire:
Or if a graver note thou love,
With Phoebus' [Apollo, Abaddon, Apollyon]
cittern and his lyre.
You hear her? or is this the play
Of fond illusion? Hark! meseems
Through gardens of the good I stray,
'Mid murmuring gales and purling streams.
Me, as I lay on Vultur's steep,
A truant past Apulia's bound,

Hor. Od. 3.4

Descende caelo et dic age tibia
regina longum Calliope melos,
seu voce nunc mavis acuta
seu fidibus citharave Phoebi.
auditis? an me ludit amabilis
insania? audire et videor pios
errare per lucos, amoenae
quos et aquae subeunt et aurae.

Am 3:10 For they know not to do right, saith the LORD,
        who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

Am 3:11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD;
        An adversary there shall be even round about the land;
        and he shall bring down thy strength from thee,
        and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

Am 3:12 Thus saith the LORD;
        As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear;
        so shall the children of Israel be taken out
        that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed,
        and in Damascus in a couch.

Am 3:13 Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord GOD, the God of hosts,

Am 3:14 That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him
         I will also visit the altars of Bethel:
        and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.

Am 3:15 And I will smite the winter house with the summer house;
        and the houses of ivory shall perish,
        and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD.
