Russ Adcox Women in Ministry

The hidden Agenda is always SLOW but Calculated before WE collect the Money. As equal to Christ and superior to the apostles, Russ Adcox dismisses Christ's PROPHETIC TYPE in Isaiah 57 as He defines the Future REST from Male and Female Burden Laders as Scribes and Pharisees: Ezekiel 33 defines them as hypocrites meaning self speakers (outlawed in Isaiah 58), singers and instrument players. They are the BEASTS from the garden of Eden to the Babylon Mother of harlots (Revelation 17) who controls "lusted after fruits" and uses them as speakers, singers and instrument players. John calls the sorcerers who HAD deceived the whole world and would be cast alive into the lake of fire.  .

CLICK: PROOF RUSS' PROFANING MYTHS, FABLES AND OLD WIVES TALES

Paul breaks rabbinic tradition in which he was raised and insists that women should learn the Word of God just like men in humility of heart and in full submission to the truth of Jesus Christ. Paul wants to equip women who will teach the truth of Scripture rather than myths and lies.

"One of the greatest of all Greek dramas, The Bacchae powerfully dramatizes the
conflict between the emotional and rational sides of the human psyche.
When the people of Thebes deny the existence of the god Dionysos, he punishes them
by unleashing the full force of female sexuality,
thereby destroying social order and driving them to certain tragedy.

"It is symptomatic of structures that have lost their elasticity, becoming too rigid to accommodate further development, to intensify the semantics of self-reference as a sort of final act of self-reassurance.

The patterns of self-reference by drama to drama as we see them in The Bacchae of Euripides reflect a crisis in the very genre of tragedy,

in the context of drastic changes in Athenian society toward the end of the fifth century; the prospect is one of abrupt confrontation and loss." -- Nagy, Pindar's Homer p. 388

Russ Adcox:  1) Why did you include the senior minister position with the elders? The reason I included this position as a restriction is because in many churches (including Maury Hills) the senior minister operates in a very similar capacity as an elder in that he provides authoritative teaching and oversees the affairs of the church. In our context, the elders have delegated a good deal of authority to me in regards to preaching/teaching, leading the staff, overseeing the daily operations/ministry of the church, having a vote in key decisions, etc.

Matthew 23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men:

THE TWISTED SCRIPTURES WHICH SILENCES BOTH RUSS ADCOX AND THE WOMEN.

Russ Adcox intends to win through intimidation wiithout understanding the only reason for the assembly. With Scot McKnight as his foundation he asks:
1. Males should pray with their hands lifted up (2:8).
2. Males should pray without anger or disputing (2:8).
3. Women should dress modestly (2:9).
4. Women should not have elaborate hairstyles or wear gold or pearls or expensive clothing (2:9).
5. Women should have good deeds (2:10).
6. Women should be silent and quiet (2:11, 12).
7. Women should not teach or have authority (2:12).
It is certain that Scot Mcknight doesn't know how to read whole thought patterns either. If you don't know what the meaning of IS IS you are probably a doctor of the law who "takes away the key to knowledge." That is their job: they are predestinated.

A person following the Direct Commands and the mark of a disciple of Christ would have begun PREACHING 1 Timothy by READING what Paul wrote.  Russ Adcox impugns the Spirit OF Christ by just making it a personal letter: who would attempt to teach the Letters of Thomas Jefferson by quoting Scot McKnight?  Anyone who would cut and paste has no respect for the writer who CLAIMS inspiration and is the FOUNDATION for which Russ pretends to do SCHOOL OF CHRIST.

Russ Adcox  Again, we have to apply good principles of interpretation. What’s the context? What’s the author’s original intent? What’s the specific historical situation that prompted the letter?

Peter said that the Prophecies by Christ and the prophecies made more certain by Jesus and left for our "memoby" and said that ANYONE who does not teach that is a FALSE TEACHER. Church is A School of the Word: it must be understood in the context of that period.  If we find Maury Hills reproducing those same practrices then we have to apply the definition of words throughout the whole series of letters.

Russ Adcox   What was Paul trying to say to that audience in that day and time? What are the transferable principles to our day and time? You don’t have to be a Bible scholar to do that. It’s just about asking the right questions and a lot of times the answers are right here in the text.

I think he was doing a pretty good job of explanation the CONDITIONS which apply to men and women to make the ekklesia or School of the Word of Christ (only) understandable.  Christ issued the Prophetic Type which repudiates the AWAKENING psalms where David tried to AWAKEN his lyre so that he could awaken the DAWN: the Jews worshipped the starry host. The pattern often repeated of the spiritual temple:
Habakkuk 2:18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
Habakkuk 2:19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone,
Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver,
and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.

We even have a mention at a later date of a similar custom in connection with the cult in Jerusalem, where certain Levites, called me'oreim, 'arousers," sang every morning this verse from Ps 44: 'Awake, Lord, awake! Do not abandon us for ever." The Talmud tells us that Johy Hyrcanus suppressed the practice because it recalled too readily a pagan custom.

A similar practice is attested in connection with the cult of Herakles-Melkart. According to Menander, as he is quoted by Josephus, the king Hiram, who was a contemporary of Solomon, rebuilt the temples of Tyre and, 'he was the first to celebrate the awakening of Heracles in the month of Peritius." (de Vaux, p. 247)

In an inscription from Cyprus, in one from Rhodes and in several from around the district of Carthage, there are references to important personages who bear the title Mqm"lm which we can translate as 'arouser of the god." (de Vaux, p. 247)

Habakkuk 2:20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.
PROOF RUSS' PROFANING MYTHS, FABLES AND OLD WIVES TALES
Russ Adcox: “As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith. But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.” (1st Tim 1:3-7).

2Timothy 4:5 But watch [nēphō to be sober, drink no wine] thou in all things, endure afflictions,
do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Russ Adcox: The specific situation that prompted the letter of 1st Timothy was false teachers in Ephesus. That’s the context of the entire letter. Paul is giving Timothy encouragement and instruction to combat false teaching. At the end of that chapter he tells him to “fight the good fight” and “keep the faith.” It’s all about standing against this false teaching that is obviously entered the church

Russ misses the fact that Paul defines the EXCLUSIVE meaing of the Church Assembly: women are excluded because it is impossible to display a female body without understanding that people will GIVE ATTENDANCE to the lady and her actions:

1Timothy 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to [public] READING, to exhortation, to doctrine.
1Timothy 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy,
with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. [teaching]
1Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
1Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them:
for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Psallo never means melody in a tuneful way: Paul is saying the same thing we TEACH that which is written for our learning and we MEDITATE in the heart.

Russ seems to think that the DOCTRINE given by inspiration of Christ and for which apostles lgave their lives, no longer applies. Of course preaching as in self-composed diatribes are outlawed along with poetry or music because "men set their lies to melodies to deceive the simple."

"Ephesus was famous for its shrine of Diana, where thousands of sacred prostitutes believed fornication brought believers into contact with deity in much the same way the Gnostics used authentia (new female authority) to bind the flesh and the divine together.

When these women converted to Christianity they had to unlearn these pagan practices. 'Virtually without exception, female teachers among the Greeks were courtesans, such as Aspasia, who numbered Socrates and Pericles among her students. Active in every major school of philosophy, these hetairai made it evident in the course of their lectures that they were available afterwards for a second occupation.

But the Bible teaches that to seduce men in such a manner was indeed to lead them to slaughter and the halls of death (cf. Prov. 2:18; 5:5; 6:27; 9:18). The verb authentein is thus peculiarly apt to describe both the erotic and murderous." (Trombley, Who says Women Cannot teach, p. 177).

Russ Adcox: Again, both men and women, I want you to pray and exhibit the characteristics of godliness. “A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness.” (1st Tim 2:11).

That's true: but he didn't tell EITHER to LEAD prayers as an act of LITURGY.
We will all pray that EVERYONE sits down and shuts up and listen to the word PREACHED by being READ for Comfort and Doctrine.

Russ Adcox:   Let’s try to answer the first question first. At issue here are the words “to teach” and “exercise authority.” That’s the only two things Paul addresses here in 1st Timothy 2. These verses have nothing to do with a woman praying in the assembly or reading Scripture or serving communion or leading worship, etc. The only way you can apply these verses to those activities is by saying that they somehow constitute exercising authority, but I don’t see it. When John led prayer this morning he wasn’t usurping anyone’s authority (the act of standing on stage and speaking words doesn’t equate to authority). And when the men passed the trays they were not participating in some type of church leadership role. There were just passing trays. The rest of you did it as well, it’s just that they were standing and you were seated.

Russ is working really hard to do a LEGALISM when it is a fact that no one LED prayer or CAN pray my own prayers. Russ is speaking of an ACT of liturgy which does not exist in the School of the Word. It is a fact that when people are PRAYING they are most often trying to Teach God.  Furthermore, the AUTHENTIA does no mean the authority that Russ as the Authoratative Teacher ENDOWS upon a mere female.  It is exposing the body and voice of a female which automatically detracts from the prayer.  It is impossible for godly men to watch or listen to a female PERFORM without being led into temptation. THAT is why false teachers boast about USING women. Passing down the row of sets is a pretty juvenile legalism.

Russ Adcox:   When Tom Eddins preached he told the story about a church where the secretary fielded a call from someone who was irate. He’d heard that women had served the Lord’s Supper the other day and wanted to know if it was true. “Were women passing the trays yesterday?” he angrily demanded. The secretary was quick on her feet and said “Are you talking about front to front or side to side?” Even the most conservative complementarian scholars that I read agree that there is nothing here in 1st Timothy or 1st Corinthians that would prohibit a woman from praying or serving in the assembly. The only area of debate surrounds teaching and exercising authority?

That's probably why Russ Adcox's PLANT did not take root and wilted!

Russ Adcox: Meaning that Paul is not addressing the specific situation of “women teaching in a domineering way” although that would certainly be forbidden of both men and women. Nor is Paul prohibiting women from any and all forms of teaching. What he’s addressing is “authoritative teaching.” Which means what? Who constitutes “authoritative teaching” in the New Testament church? You don’t have to read far to find your answer.

We noted above that Authoritative Teaching is not possible while preaching or singing: both pretend that the Spirit OF Christ was not bright enough to be the MASTER Teacher. The elders were authoritative teachers ONLY when they taught that which HAD been taught.

Russ Adcox:Then in Titus 1:9 he writes that one of the qualifications is “holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.” So we see that another function of the elders is protecting the doctrinal purity of the church. He goes on Titus 1:10-11 to say “For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach for the sake of sordid gain.” The reason this qualification is there is related to false teaching. Of course we also know that

Note that it is the ELDERS as Christ-ordained Pastor-Teachers.  Furthermore, Exhort does not mean PREACH

paraka^leō , Att. fut. -kalō, later Jesus is the Comforter or Paraclete: In Romans 15 the COMFORT comes from reading the Word written for our learning. III. exhort, encourage, “taxis taxin parekalei, 2. comfort, console, “tous penthountas” LXX Si.48.24:—Pass., Ev.Matt.2.18, 5.4.

Russ Adcox CONFESSES that he intends to DISCOMFORT lots of people and nothing he can do or say will ever relieve the discomfort or SOWING OF DISCORD which makes him almost alone in fighting against the Holy spirit. Russ in his RUSH for legalism to support him just flat MISSED those who must be SAT DOWN AND SHUT UP.

Scripture by word definition defines this as SORCERY or WITCHCRAFT which is the natural result of violating direct commands and the wisdom of all ages.  Jesus died to give us REST from this laded burden and burden laders and John said that they will be or are being Cast Alive into the Lake of Fire.

The history of ancient witchcraft of Sorcery from Clay Tablets onward shows that Jesus died to give us REST from that which all recorded history and MRI images prove to be destructive to the minds at any age.

1Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Russ Adcox as Authoratative Teacher (Christ) says that this was based on CULTURE: if you watch the subverted "worship services" you concluded that the Post-Biblical theologians think that NOISE and MADNESS is NOW acceptable.  Now, the olden GOD wanted everyone--including Russ to sit down and be QUIET and lift holy PALMS to the Word and not WAVE arms which was the girls saying 'I am available."

Jesus prophesied and Paul affirms that EVERYONE must be Quiet and Peaceable and Honest because the Purpose of the Purpose Driven Church is:

1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved,
        and to
come unto the knowledge of the truth.

THAT is the PATTERN from the Church in the wilderness to a True Church of Christ as A School of the Word.

Rhetoric and music intends to Make the Lambs Dumb before the Slaughter. Now, speaking to MEN who do not lift up Holy Palms and women who speak on their own is to REPUDIATE and REMOVE anyone who claims that they are the mediator in song and sermon.  Musical Worship Teams claim that they can lead you into the presence of God.  However,

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God,
and one mediator between God and men,
        the man Christ Jesus;

1Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

1Timothy 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

1Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

The Command for the Church in the Wilderness, the Approved Example of Jesus,  the practice and command Paul and the historic practice of The Church of Christ before SERMON and SONG writers invaded to take captive any gathered assembly.  That command was the PREACH the WORD by READING the Word for Comfort and Doctrine. Therefore, since Russ Adcox has invaded and became the Authoratitive Teacher (taking Chris't place) He can whine about evil Paul.

PAUL PRAYED THAT EVERYONE BE IN SILENCE, IN PEACE AND HONEST. Why is it that Russ Adcox gives himself the right to SPEAK where Scripture is SILENT and insists that the WOMEN do not have to LEARN in silence?

This utterly silences the women in a non-sedentary role which automatically projects "authentia" or sexual authority which is also murderous. If women are quite the OUTBREAK even in frontier awakenings--like Iraq devil worship--would not break out.

"One of the greatest of all Greek dramas, The Bacchae powerfully dramatizes the conflict between the emotional and rational sides of the human psyche.
When the people of Thebes deny the existence of the god Dionysos, he punishes them

thereby destroying social order and driving them to certain tragedy.

authent-ria , h(, fem. of authentēs, A. = kuria, Keil-Premerstein Zweiter Bericht14

Russ Adcox may be the Kuria but he cannot give authority which HE does not have.

The form of "authority" outlawed by Paul in the "non-sedentary" role was and is sexual authority. It is not possible to have attractive and talented women standing between the "audience" and God claiming power to lead them into God's presence without insulting God and seducing men. See an example.

"Ephesus was famous for its shrine of Diana, where thousands of sacred prostitutes

believed fornication brought believers into contact with deity in much the same way the Gnostics used authentia (authority) to bind the flesh and the divine together. When these women converted to Christianity they had to unlearn these pagan practices. 'Virtually without exception,

female teachers among the Greeks were courtesans, such as Aspasia, who numbered Socrates and Pericles among her students.

The verb authentein is thus peculiarly apt to describe both the erotic and murderous." (Trombley, Who Says Women Can't Teach, p. 177).

Quasten notes that: "Women's singing was a vital part of all pagan worship. In very early times women became priestly singers of the gods in the temple.

"Women and girls from the different ranks of society were proud to enter the service of the gods as singers and musicians. The understanding of this service was universal: these singers constituted the 'harem of the gods'."

The Egyptian Opis (Apis) and others which Israel worshipped at Mount Sinal were worshipped throughout the area. "In preference to all other hymns these choirs generally sang the so-called epiphany hymns, which were intended to invite the gods to appear. Plutarch wrote:

Why do the women of Elis call upon God in song to approach them with the bull's foot? Their song is the following:

Come, Dionysus, Hero,
into the holy temple of Elis,
together with the Graces [Grace = Chara or Charis = charismatic = homosexual)
come violently into the temple with the bull's foot!
Double Entendre
Then they sang twice at the end: "Sacred Bull!" (Johannes Quasten, Music & Worship
in Pagan and Christian Antiquity, p. 76)

Choirs of young girls often officiated and they wore garments of the dancers consecrated to the gods. (The ephod was a feminine apron)

"the testimonies of neighboring civilizations are of little value, as they concern chiefly the music of courts or temples, which in Sumer, Babylon, and Canaan was then in the hands of professional priests-musicians. We have only a few remarks of Herodotus about Egyptian practices, which were similar to those of ancient Hebrew popular singing. He refers to the 'lament for Linos,'

also to women's chants in procession of the cult of Osiris and the Diana of Bubastis. "In Phoenicia and Syria almost all popular music reflected the worship of Ishtar, the goddess of fertility.

Thus, popular song was usually a prelude to sexual orgies in honor of the goddess, led and organized by her thousands of hierodules." (Interpreter's Dict of the Bible, Music, p. 461).

The Propensity was for WOMEN to usurp authority (Remember Eve and Miriam?).  Therefore, the women should not usurp authority over the men. This does NOT mean that the MEN have authority beyond "teaching that which has been taught."

BECAUSE
1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved,
        and to
come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1Timothy 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

1Timothy 2:14 And Adam was not deceived [wholly seduced],
but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

1Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Russ Adcox: Now, I have no idea was v. 15 means so don’t ask me. That’s one of the most baffling verses in the Bible. It just goes to show you that sometimes there are things that were obviously clear to Paul and his original audience but we’re too far removed from the culture to make sense of it. That’s OK because the key verse to me is v. 13. Here Paul gives the reason for his directive in v. 12 and he ties it to the created order of things

The Feminist promote Mother Goddess Worship: Eve is Zoe who in the literature is called "The BEAST and female instructing principle.'

Eve is mentioned only twice in the New Testament and because Jesus spoke in parables to HIDE the truth from the WISE (sophists=rhetoricians, singers, musicians, actors).  Moses was writing an INVERTED version of Babylon Myths AFTER the nation fell from grace BECAUSE of instrumental idolatry at Mount Sinai.  Therefore, those who mock Paul do not understand that Paul knew all about Eve and scholars know nothing. While not necessarily true, Paul understood that women especially looked to EVE (Zoe, Mary) as THEIR Mediatrix.
The serpents, however, of the magicians-(that is,) the gods of destruction-withstood the power of Moses in Egypt, but the rod of Moses reduced them all to subjection and slew them. This universal serpent is, he says, the wise discourse of Eve. This, he says, is the mystery of Edem, this the river of Edem;
this the mark that was set upon Cain [from a musical note]
that any one who findeth him might not kill him. This, he says, is Cain, [Gen. iv. 15] whose sacrifice [Gen. iv. 5. ] the god of this world did not accept.
Theophilus to Autolycus

This Eve, on account of her having been in the beginning deceived by the serpent, and become the author of sin, the wicked demon, who also is called Satan, who then spoke to her through the serpent, and who works even to this day in those men that are possessed by him, invokes as Eve. And he is called "demon" and "dragon," on account of his revolting from God. For at first he was an angel. And concerning his history there is a great deal to be said; wherefore I at present omit the relation of it, for I have also given an account of him in another place.

Referring to the bacchanalian ORGIES [wrath] in which " Eva " was shouted, and which the Fathers professed to believe was an unintentional invocation of Eve, the authoress of all sin.

The word "abomination" is also key to understanding the context. In Hebrew, the word "to 'evah," (abomination) is almost invariably linked to idolatry. In the passages from which both verses are taken, God tells Moses to tell the people not to follow the idolatrous practices of the people around them, people who sacrificed their children to Molech, or who masturbated into the fire to offer their semen to Molech, for example. Chapter 20 starts off with the same warning.

"To 'evah" also means "something which is ritually unclean."

Hippolytus Book V - The Refutation of All Heresies - Satan Worship

They rashly assume in this manner, that  whatsoever things have been said and done by all men, (may be made to harmonize) with their own particular mental view, alleging that ALL things become spiritual. Whence likewise they assert, that those exhibiting themselves in theatres, not even these say or do anything without premeditation.

Therefore, he says, when, on the people assembling in the theatres, any one enters clad in a remarkable robe, carrying a harp and playing a tune (upon it, accompanying it) with a song of the great mysteries, he speaks as follows, not knowing what he says:
"Whether (thou art) the race of Saturn (Satans) or happy Jupiter, or mighty Rhea (ZOE, Eve), Hail, Attis, gloomy mutilation of Rhea. Assyrians style thee thrice-longed-for Adonis, and the whole of Egypt (calls thee) Osiris, celestial horn of the moon; [The bull, Apis, at Sinai] Greeks denominate (thee) Wisdom; Samothracians, venerable Adam; Haemonians, Corybas; and them Phrygians (name thee) at one time Papa, at another time Corpse, or God, or Fruitless, or Aipolos, or green Ear of Corn that has been reaped, or whom the very fertile Amygdalus produced-a man, a musician."
This, he says, is multiform Attis, whom while they celebrate in a hymn, they utter these words:
"I will hymn Attis, son of Rhea, not with the buzzing sounds of trumpets, or of Idaean pipers, which accord with (the voices of) the Curetes; but I will mingle (my song) with Apollo's music of harps, evoe, evan, ' inasmuch as thou art Pan, as thou art Bacchus, as thou art shepherd of brilliant stars."
On account of these and such like reasons, these constantly attend the mysteries called those of the "Great Mother,"supposing especially that they behold by means of the ceremonies performed there the entire mystery. [Moved into the presence of the gods with music]

For these have nothing more than the ceremonies that are performed there, except that they are not emasculated: they merely complete the work of the emasculated.

For with the utmost severity and vigilance they enjoin (on their votaries) to abstain, as if they were emasculated, from intercourse with a woman. The rest, however, of the proceeding (observed in these mysteries), as we have declared at some length, (they follow) just as (if they were) emasculated personsAnd they do not worship any other object but Naas, (from thence) being styled Naasseni.

But Naas is the serpent from whom, i.e., from the word Naas, (the Naassene) says, are all that under heaven are denominated temples (Naos).  And (he states) that to him alone-that is, Naas-is dedicated every shrine and every initiatory rite, and every mystery; and, in general,  that a religious ceremony could not be discovered under heaven, in which a temple (Naos) has no existence; and in the temple itself is Naas, from whom it has received its denomination of temple (Naos)

God never commandled an earthly Temple or House so Russ Adcox's Jacob-Cursed and God-Abandoned Levites as PATTERNS fulfills prophecy of sentencing people to BABYLONIANSM where the Word or Logos was the DAUGHTER of a Mother.
  1. Loud New Style singing with or without instruments produces Decibel Poisoning and it can lead to premature labor and probably creation of the epidemic of Anxiety in much of our generation. Maury Hills intends to INCREASE that Laded Burden meaning "spiritual anxiety through religious rituals" which is ANTI-Christian.

Furthermore, the Authentes were women who PRODUCED births to be burned to Molech in Jerusalem.  The CLERGY told them that they could WORSHIP their (the Jews) god if they gave up their child as a sacrifice.  The loud screaming of the children accompanied by instrumental music was CLAIMED to be a message from their god.  Nothing has changed since mothers ABUSE their children by subjecting them to the ANTI-SILENCE, Anti-Peace and Anti-honest NOISE the false teachers claim is leading them into the presence of their "gods."
