A Church or Ekklesia of Christ is commanded to READ or SPEAK that which is written for our LEARNING. Jesus said that Doctors of the law such as Scribes and Pharisees take away the kEY to learning knowledge.  Scripture and The Classical writers drew a Red Line in the Sand against the class of people devoted to SOPHIA and those devoted to LOGOS.

There is not a single example of anyone, INCLUDING DAVID, who is ever said to have WORSHIPPED by speaking, listening, singing, playing instruments, acting or PAY FOR PLAY.   If that sounds strange it is because those for HIRE selling their own words have ever, may maybe cannot, stop long enough to understanding that worship is not in HOUSES or HANDS of "worship performers.

All words translated as Spirit or Ghost literally means WIND ONLY.  It is used of the BREATH of God who inspired the Prophets and Jesus of Nazareth who was MADE to be Lord and Christ when God gave Him that role.  Speaking of Unity in Diversity Paul silences the cunning craftsmen or sophists--speakers, singers or instrument players--because they are MARKED as LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.  It would be impossible to believe that the Spirit OF Christ is another GOD person.

The WORD or LOGOS is what God SPEAKS.  It is the Regularive Principle. It EXCLUDES rhetoric, singing, playing instruments or acting. To reject the Word is the mark of ANTICHRIST.

The Spirit OF Christ in Isaiah says of those who do NOT speak the WORD that THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM.

FIRST: Logos meant that they needed to discuss something important. In order not to be "fluted down with wine" they voted to dismiss the flute and harp boys and girls.  That was Paul's warning so that they could SPEAK the Biblical text for LEARNING.

SECOND: Sophia meant
they couldn't discuss anything. Paul outlawed self pleasure which is the heresy or sectarian disturbance of rhetoric, singing or playing instruments.

THE ONE-PIECE PATTERN OF GOD WHICH REJECTS SOPHIA:

A Church of Christ is not built upon SOPHIA or strange sexuality manifest by rhetoric, music or any self-exhibition. Corrupting the Word or selling learning at retail is defined as prostitution:

The WORD is the LOGOS and it is the Regulative Principle. It is law because it outlaws personal opinions, personal experiences, rhetoric, singing, playing instruments or acting such as the self-exhibition of the cute and popular whereas speaking the WORD like Jesus would make the HATED and murdered.

Miriam was a prophetess because she was an Egyptian and as a virtual princess would serve Hathor or the female Apis or golden calf. The musical idolatry at Mount Sinai got Israel turned over to worship the starry host (Acts 7 etal) and sentenced to captivity and death in Babylon: that is THE LAW.

The PLAY at Mount Sinai would have been led by women prophetesses. That violation of The Book of the Covenant which was SILENT about the use of Egyptian music was seen by God as their prayer and He TURNED THEM OVER TO WORSHIP THE STARRY HOST.

"The triumphal hymn of Moses had unquestionably a religious character about it; but the employment of music in religious services, though idolatrous, is more distinctly marked in the festivities which attended the erection of the golden calf." (Smith's Bible Dictionary, Music, p. 589).

When Miriam took the lead over Aaron and claimed that her "prophesying" was the WORD of God, He smacked her with leprosy

"She was "the sister of Moses, was the eldest of that sacred family; and she first appears, probably as a young girl, watching her infant brother's cradle in the Nile, (Exodus 2:4) and suggesting her mother as a nurse. ver. 7. After the crossing of the Red Sea "Miriam the prophetess" is her acknowledged title. ch. (Exodus 15:20) The prophetic power showed itself in her under the same form as that which it assumed in the days of Samuel and David,

"She took the lead, with Aaron, in the complaint against Moses for his marriage with a Cushite, (Numbers 12:1,2) and for this was attacked with leprosy. God warned:

Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do. Deut 24:8

Remember what the Lord thy God did unto Miriam by the way, after that ye were come forth out of Egypt. Deut 24:9


1Corinthians 14:35 And if they will learn any thing,

     for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Beyond the absolute PATTERN of Reading or Speaking the Logos or regulative principle it is a SHAME for men to so speak. However, we are told that singing and playing marked one as "drunk, perverted or just having fun." it was not a warning needed for Word Centered Males.

Chrysostom's Commentary on Galatians:

Second, history affirms that a male singing and playing religiously is drunk, perverted or just having fun.

Third, the warning of Paul warns about Eve whose story, says Jesus, is hidden in parables from those assuming roles and dole (Isa 48; Matthew 13)

The rise of performance so-called worship will always flow from females or wannabes: Lucifer, says Christ in the prophets, was a "singing and harp playing prostitute in the garden of Eden."  HE wanted to be remembered as a male but all religious acting out was restricted to males performing the role of a female.

        nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

MEN AND WOMEN ATTEND THE TIME OF REST, READING AND REHEARSING THE WORD OF GOD TO LEARN.  Therefore, why would any godly person want to PERFORM when Jesus comes to speak through His Word only

It would be pure legalism to think that "doctors of the law take away the key to knowledge" can be enhanced by the field of "theology."

"Philodemus considered it paradoxical that music should be regarded as veneration of the gods while musicians were paid for performing this so-called veneration. Again, Philodemus held as self deceptive the view that music mediated religious ecstasy.
He saw the entire condition induced by the noise of cymbals and tambourines as a disturbance of the spirit.

He found it significant that, on the whole, only women and effeminate men fell into this folly. Accordingly, nothing of value could be attributed to music; it was no more than a slave of the sensation of pleasure, which satisfied much in the same way that food and drink did.

That was the warning of the Spirit OF Christ in Isaiah 3.

As a GUARD Paul excludes women from performing roles and therefore eliminates what they call "religious OBSERVATIONS."  In a normal society there would be no reason to make the same law apply to males.

Greeks considered
madness an important aspect of worship.  Women in particular responded to Bacchus (also known as Dionysus), the god of madness; 'him of the orgiastic cry, exciter of women, Dionysus, glorified with mad honors'.  (Plutarch, Moralia 671c  Ancient Corinth was a center of Dionysiac worship, and Pausinius, world traveler of the second century of our era gives this description:

In the market-place, for most of the temples are there, is the Ephesian Artemis, and there are two wooden statues of Dionysus, gilt except the faces, which are painted with red paint, one they call Lysian Dionysus and the other Dionysus the Reveler [Jachin and Boaz if you will].  The tradition about these statues I will record.  Pentheus, they say, when he outraged dionysus, among other acts of reckless daring actually at last went to mount Cithaeron to spy on the women, and climbed up into a tree to see what they were doing; and when they detected him, they forthwith dragged him down, and tore him limb from limb.  And afterwards, so they say at Corinth, the Pythian priestess told them to discover that tree and pay it divine honors.  And that is why these statues are made of that very wood.  (Description of Greece, II.ii; tr. "There was in Corinth, then, a significant monument memorializing the savagery of female Bacchus worshippers.  Nor was such a feminine ferocity confined to Pentheus alone.  Women under the inspiration of Bacchus were said to have torn Orpheus limb from limb; and Alexander the Great was supposed to have incorporated a group of these maenads (mad women) into his army in his attempt to conquer India.  There was also a tradition that women during the course of the worship tore apart young animals and ate them raw, warm and bleeding, thereby receiving within themselves the life of the god.  In a 1976 address to the Mystery Religions Division of the Society of Biblical Literature, Ross Kraemer argued that there is evidence that women participated in a second level of initiation in Bacchic worship that was not available to men.  Among Dionysiac worshippers, writes Livy in his History of Rome, 'the majority are women' (XXXIX.xv)

While women were famed for their wildness in the Bacchic cult and in certain other mystery cults, other aspects of their worship were more traditional.  Of special importance to the study of the situation Paul addresses is the concept of clamor, noisy outbursts of religious pandemonium.

Is there any such among the shadowy purifications of the Law, aiding as it did with temporary sprinklings, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean; or do the gentiles celebrate any such thing in their mysteries, every ceremony and mystery of which to me is nonsense, and a dark invention of demons, and a figment of an unhappy mind, aided by time, and hidden by fable?

For what they worship as true, they
veil as mythical. But if these things are true, they ought not to be called myths, but to be proved not to be shameful; and if they are false, they ought not to be objects of wonder; nor ought people so inconsiderately to hold the most contrary opinions about the same thing,
as if they were playing in the market-place with boys or really ill-disposed men, not engaged in discussion with men of sense, and worshippers of the Word, though despisers of this artificial plausibility.
IV. We are not concerned in these mysteries with birth of Zeus and thefts of the Cretan Tyrant (though the Greeks may be displeased at such a title for him), nor with the name of Curetes, and the armed dances, which were to hide the wailings of a weeping god, that he might escape from his father's hate.
Jesus would not weep which was often the result of being sodomized as the initiation. The Jerusalem temple had been taken over by the Greeks and had become a haunt of Zeus and Dionysus "worship." The details of the associated gymnasium is defined in  Second Maccabees. By the wailing (clanging) song and dance Jesus, in all of the background material, could have escaped the wrath of God on the cross.

For indeed it would be a strange thing that he who was swallowed as a stone should be made to weep as a child. Nor are we concerned with Phrygian mutilations and flutes and Corybantes, and all the ravings of men concerning Rhea (Inanna, Eve etc.), consecrating people to the mother of the gods, and being initiated into such ceremonies as befit the mother of such gods as these.

The Pepperdine team has as its stated object to work with young preachers in legalistic churches and promote the introduction of instruments in what they call "worship" and knowingly introducing discord.  Dave Clayton is one such subverted church planter: the ETHOS Church of Christ in a bar in Nashville. None of them know that ETHOS is the STIGMA which God has imposed warning about musical idolatry. There is nothing more ANTI-Biblical and LEGALISTIC than making music under the assumption that ETHOS improves you spiritually and helps you make contact with the gods.  It turns out that the "feeling" imposed by music is known by history, medical science and the Vineyard lady is a "sexual like climatic experience with the spirit."


As we prepare the future of Bible Lectures and Church Relations at Pepperdine, Mike Cope and I are committed to doing all we can to build a network around and supportive programs for these young preachers. Though they have freed themselves from sectarian constrains, many have chosen to stay with their churches. At least  for now. In the coming years, churches of Christ will need to respond, demonstrably, to the Restoration cry coming from this young generation and in so doing may restore their full role of influence in the unfolding Christian story.
The Biggest Lie is the Drive led by the NACC to convince everyone that Churches of Christ SECTED out of the Christian Churches in 1906.  The Lipscomb Mantra is that the Campbells blundered by opposing the Disciples of Christ in several realms:
    The Name of the ChurchDenominational organizations and CreedsThe role of Baptism as FOR the Remission of SinsFellowship (attend, defend, support) most denominations.
    The approval of instrumental musicThe role of women in "worship"The Apocalyptic view of the Millennium and a few more.
    Alexander Campbell denied that there COULD be unity with the Stoneites before the small meeting in 1832 Barton W. Stone denied that their COULD be unity with the Reformers as long as they taught the necessity of baptism. After the agreement on principles in 1832 there was no UNION of the groups.  Campbell mocked Stone for boasting that the Reformers had come over to the Christians and proved that a few handshakes did or would ever UNIT because the Reformers denied the demand for a Creed.  Alexander Campbell insisted of properly baptized believers that THEY  COME OUT OF BABYLON.
Therefore, the big lie is that the "young preachers" are clamoring for a RESTORATION of the Disciples of Christ--Christian Churches. The fact is that false teachers who know nothing about the Bible set themselves the task to RESTRUCTURE all churches of Christ under the documents and hand holding of agents from the NACC.

This is what Rick Gibson and Mike Cope intend to hatch out:

Littleton Church and in fine print A Church of Christ. Boys and fat girls singing, lifting, instrumental music: hard Rock and roll, Drama that girly stuff. They have LEGACY WORSHIP which is the big lie that Churches of Christ are based on traditions

They are also working over Dave Clayton and a good work has been turned INSTRUMENTAL. The Ethos concept defines the musically sexually aroused feeling as "being lead into the presence of god."

This is spitting in the face of Jesus and Paul who said that we should pray for a Quiet and peacful life: He concludes that the women must not RULE OVER as long as they use a tune.

THE CHRISTIAN STORY HAS UNFOLDED: JUST WAITING FOR THE TRUMPET SOUNDS AS SIGNS OF JUDGMENT.
WE HAVE ALREADY HEARD THE SOUNDS-LIKE HARPS WHICH IS A SIGN OF JUDGMENT AND THE DEMAND TO PREACH THE GOSPEL. No one PLAYS harps "up in the air" over Spiritual Zion.
JESUS SAID THAT DOCTORS OF THE LAW TAKE AWAY THE KEY TO KNOWLEDGE. SO, IF IT IS OK THE MASSES OF CHURCH OF CHRIST WILL NOT JOIN IN THE URGE FOR WINE, WOMEN AND INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC.

Pepperdine University has chosen Mike Cope to represent it's views by putting him in charge of lecturships: one of the first efforts is to promote Rick Atchley whose first massive discord was by firing the DEACONS and creating Female Ministers: when challenged Rick Atchley appealed to the Deaconess with no such word in the Greek Language.  The introduction of Musical Worship Ministers and Mistresses sowed the next massive discord. The next discord was promoting Sabbath Worship with Instrumental 'Worshipers."  Sabbath means REST and the Qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness quarantined the godly, non-abandoned tribes to be a School (only) of the Word (only). That outlawed rhetoricians, singers or musicians making "vocal or instrumental rejoicing."

That never changed until Jesus now The Holy Spirit became Head, King and High Priest over His Spiritual kingdom: He rejects mediators in song or self-referenced sermons.

Most are talking about the strengths of the tradition — a tradition that is preserved by several tribes.

Because it was IMPOSSIBLE to sing tunefully any of the never-metrical but commanded text, all of those people before John Calvin permitted a few psalms (only) to be REwritten and set to a simple melody to be sung in unison (only) then I would worry about accusing Jesus and most people with being afflicted with TRIBALISM.  History knows that singing (yelling) is the world's oldest profession, was performed by an emotionally or sexually abnormal "prophesier," and was used to unite everyone to the TRIBAL Alpha Male.

A Church of Christ is a SCHOOL of Christ: the people call themselves together and they dismiss themselves. There are NO functionaries in A Church of Christ.

GOD AS PATRIARCH IS IN ETERNAL BATTLE WITH THE GODDESS MATRIARCH.  Jesus is pronounced the Son of a Father as the antithesis to the Daughter of the Mother Goddess.

Paul understood the universal history beginning with Eve (Astarte, Ishtar etc in the Babylonian sources) had the urge to literally emasculate males to force them to be the priests of Cybele, Isis, Mary etal.  Feminists still assert that the role of males has ceased and women are best suited to be the MEDIATRIX between man and the Mother Goddess.

Assyrians style thee thrice-longed-for Adonis, and the whole of Egypt (calls thee) Osiris, celestial horn of the moon; [The bull, Apis, at Sinai] Greeks denominate (thee) Wisdom; Samothracians, venerable Adam; Haemonians, Corybas; and them Phrygians (name thee) at one time Papa, at another time Corpse, or God, or Fruitless, or Aipolos, or green Ear of Corn that has been reaped, or whom the very fertile Amygdalus produced-a man, a musician."
This, he says, is multiform Attis, whom while they celebrate in a hymn, they utter these words:
"I will hymn Attis, son of Rhea, not with the buzzing sounds of trumpets, or of Idaean pipers, which accord with (the voices of) the Curetes; but I will mingle (my song) with Apollo's music of harps, evoe, evan, ' inasmuch as thou art Pan, as thou art Bacchus, as thou art shepherd of brilliant stars."
On account of these and such like reasons, these constantly attend the mysteries called those of the "Great Mother,"supposing especially that they behold by means of the ceremonies performed there the entire mystery. [Moved into the presence of the gods with music]

For these have nothing more than the ceremonies that are performed there, except that they are not emasculated:they merely complete the work of the emasculated.

For with the utmost severity and vigilance they enjoin (on their votaries) to abstain, as if they were emasculated, from intercourse with a woman. The rest, however, of the proceeding (observed in these mysteries), as we have declared at some length, (they follow) just as (if they were) emasculated persons.
And they do not worship any other object but Naas, (from thence) being styled Naasseni.

But Naas is the serpent from whom, i.e., from the word Naas, (the Naassene) says, are all that under heaven are denominated temples (Naos).  And (he states) that to him alone-that is, Naas-is dedicated every shrine and every initiatory rite, and every mystery; and, in general,  that a religious ceremony could not be discovered under heaven, in which a temple (Naos) has no existence; and in the temple itself is Naas, from whom it has received its denomination of temple (Naos)

Eve is mentioned only twice in the New Testament and because Jesus spoke in parables to HIDE the truth from the WISE (sophists=rhetoricians, singers, musicians, actors).  Moses was writing an INVERTED version of Babylon Myths AFTER the nation fell from grace BECAUSE of instrumental idolatry at Mount Sinai.  Therefore, those who mock Paul do not understand that Paul knew all about Eve and scholars know nothing. While not necessarily true, Paul understood that women especially looked to EVE (Zoe, Mary) as THEIR Mediatrix.

The serpents, however, of the magicians-(that is,) the gods of destruction-withstood the power of Moses in Egypt, but the rod of Moses reduced them all to subjection and slew them. This universal serpent is, he says, the wise discourse of Eve. This, he says, is the mystery of Edem, this the river of Edem;
this the mark that was set upon Cain,
that any one who findeth him might not kill him. This, he says, is Cain, [Gen. iv. 15] whose sacrifice [Gen. iv. 5. ] the god of this world did not accept.

This Eve, on account of her having been in the beginning deceived by the serpent, and become the author of sin, the wicked demon, who also is called Satan, who then spoke to her through the serpent, and who works even to this day in those men that are possessed by him, invokes as Eve.58 And he is called "demon" and "dragon," on account of his revolting from God. The word "abomination" is also key to understanding the context. In Hebrew, the word "to 'evah," (abomination) is almost invariably linked to idolatry. In the passages from which both verses are taken, God tells Moses to tell the people not to follow the idolatrous practices of the people around them, people who sacrificed their children to Molech, or who masturbated into the fire to offer their semen to Molech, for example. Chapter 20 starts off with the same warning.

"To 'evah" also means "something which is ritually unclean," not something evil in itself, like rape or theft. Eating pork or having sex during menstruation are ritually unclean.

But also, concerning music, some have fabled that Apollo [Abaddon, Apollyon]  was the inventor, and others say that Orpheus discovered the art of music from the sweet voices of the birds. Their story is shown to be empty and vain, for these inventors lived many years after the flood. And what relates to Noah, who is called by some Deucalion, has been explained by us in the book before mentioned, and which, if you wish it, you are at liberty to read.

I’ve written and [Finally FEMINIST] often about the need for Churches of Christ to recognize, affirm, and use the gifts of women (along with men) in preaching, teaching, praying, etc. Perhaps some of you are tired of hearing about it from me.

Responding to Keith Brenton who uses "cogitation" or "doubtful disputations" rather than reading of the text:

Your logic , at least to me, appears to be as follows: God makes no distinctions between male and female (from Galations). Paul commanded that females have no authority of males. To harmonize this apparent inconsistency, we must conclude that Paul was merely a product of his current environment. And this in no way should be construed as a commandment binding to this day....But if they are this compelled to preach, then they should find a community that accepts this belief. And as you know, the majority of churches of Christ strongly disagree with this.

And sing "nothing to the cross I bring?" No, there ae no gifts for preaching: Christ commanded that the word be PREACHED by being READ. He picked senior males not given to theatrics.  Christ commanded the pattern in the wilderness: Jesus exampled the pattern by standing up to read the systematically read text and then set down. Jesus and all historic evidence called rhetoric a hypocritic profession. The word "sermo" means "in a conversationall style."

There is no liturgical act called PRAYER for which you need a professional woman.  Jesus said enter into your closet and pray.

WORSHIP ANDROGYNY THE PAGAN SEXUAL IDEAL PETER JONES

No one can lead another in worship.  Jesus said that worship was IN SPIRIT.  That is a place compared to Gerizim and Jerusalem.  Worship is IN TRUTH: Thy Word is truth. ''Worship" is seen almost exclusively in the context of Composing your own material, singing, clapping, playing instruments and other of the "hypocritic arts and crafts."  This includes theater building and stage management.  This is defined as the craftsmen who along with the rhetoricians, singers and instrument players are called sorcerers (Revelation 18) who are agents of the Babylon Mother of Harlots (Revelation 17).  The BEAST in Revelation is defined as "A new style of song or drama."  Women were almost always the pagan worship leaders with the goal of increasing the CONTRIBUTIONS to a pagan temple.  It would be almost impossible for a normal male to fall into the form of speaking Paul forbids.

Johannes Quasten. In Music and Worship in Pagan and Christian Antiquity, beginning on page 41:

This is not speaking as in the command to SPEAK one to another to teach and comfort. Sounding brass and tinkling cymbals here are identifying marks of people who have NO LOVE. Even if they COULD speak all of the languages in the world there would be no love. The command is to SPEAK or LOGOS the Word of Christ which is the opposite of rhetoric, singing or playing instruments. Speaking in the tongues of angels was IN FACT making music in tongues.

[195] Full often have I argued out this subject with others. For there are those who say, there is more bad than good in human nature; but I hold a contrary view, that good over bad predominates in man, [200] for if it were not so, we should not exist. He has my praise, whichever god brought us to live by rule from chaos and from brutishness, first by implanting reason, and next by giving us a tongue to declare our thoughts, so as to know the meaning of what is said..

And where sight fails us and our knowledge is not sure, the seer foretells by gazing on the flame, by reading signs in folds of entrails, or by divination from the flight of birds. Are we not then too proud, when heaven has made such [215] preparation for our life, not to be content with it? But our presumption seeks to lord it over heaven, and in the pride of our hearts we think we are wiser than the gods.
The sole worship concept is to "give attendance to the reading of the Word of God, to exhortation and to doctrine included in that systematically read text. There is no command, example or remote inference that any of God's people ever assembled as  a congregation to sing with or without instruments.  On the contrary, there are several examples of ungodly people singing, playing, dancing or making body movements: these were the CAUSE of God turning the people over to worship the starry host. Stephen alerted us to that in Acts 7 speaking of the fall from grace at Mount Sinai. Exodus 32.

The direct command for the Qahal, synagogue or Church of Christ (the Rock) after this fall from grace for which there was no redemption outlawed "vocal or instrumental rejoicing" including smooth speaking rhetoricians. That is because a Church is a School (only) of the Word of God (only).  The Church is now built upon the Prophets guided by the Spirit of Christ, thep prophecies made more certain by Jesus of Nazareth, eye- and ear-witnessed by the Apostles and the record they left for our memory.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil 4:7 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Col.3:15 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. Eph 5:17
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;

Worship takes place only in our own heart.

is the same as with melody in our hearts: neither are "music" but the nature of speech.

Those who are PRESUMPTIOUS and USURP the role of God and the congregation NEVER make cause people to worship God.

Paul said that the liberated Jews worshipped in the SPIRIT in contrast to in the FLESH.  This was to forbid the dogs or concision: catamites.

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Phil 3:3

The pagan THESIS included women worshipping goddesses and seducing men by wine, drugs, motion or music. The object was to strip them of their food money.  The Spirit of Christ in Isaiah 50 prophesied against those who would Smite Him and Pluck in a musical sense to silence Him and therefore MOCK Him.

in Isaiah 55 warned us NOT to spend our food money on the Word which He supplied free of charge.  He equated His WORDS to SPIRIT. 

In Isaiah 58 He commanded us not to seek our own pleasure or even speak our own words. He warned against PARASITES trying to get into the act: all sacrificial musicians were called PARASITES.

History notes that only women and effeminate men can be seduced by religious money: a male who plays and sings is noted to be "drunk, gender-confused or just having fun."

Dogs were the CYNICS they stamped, clapped and made noises like DOGS to attract their fellow homosexuals.

THE PATTERN ESTABLISHED BY JESUS FOR US TO FOLLOW. This CANNOT be violated. When the Scribes or Pharisees Jesus called hypocrites (speakers, singers, instrument players Ezekiel 33), the lambs are made dumb before the slaughter and Jesus will be OUTSIDE suffering the reproaches.

ALL religious observations claiming to be in contact with God creates "spiritual anxiety through religious rituals." The leaders know that: if they didn't make you aroused you would not pay them.

JESUS DIED TO GIVE US REST FROM THE LADED BURDENS AND BURDEN LADERS

The levites were not musicians: they were soothsayers or sorcerers. Their job was as exorcists to MAKE THE LAMBS DUMB BEFORE THE SLAUGHTER.  All clergy of which the Levites were Jacob-cursed prophetic types were called PARASITES who burdened the people for their worship of the STARRY HOST.  This burden was imposed because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai for which there was no redemption.

Whatever you are doing it, the word PAUO (like Sabbath) means to stop it. We have many examples of what people are told to stop and rest.  None of these can be done if you understand why Jesus gave us REST.

This is not an ACT of worship as a performance for which women  EQUALITY.  Paul will command the women to be quiet and sedentary because it was only women and effeminate males who could fall into the wrath or  ORGE of performance religion

Paul did not use a generic person but man is:

Peter outlawed private interpretation or further expounding in song or sermon. This would repudiate the elders and Jesus who made the prophecies more certain to eye- and ear-witnesses. They left a "memory" to MARK as false teachers anyone who dishonored that record.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority (authenteo) over the man, but to be in silence.1Ti.2:12

All "non-sedentary" or silent participation by women exercises the authority condemned by Paul. This sexual authority with the Catholic A Cappella or castrated "musical worship" solved the problem of a male priesthood but with a homosexual, feminine style of worship called "MUSIC."

Godly women should not want to literally FORCE men to see her as exercising authority over his good or bad nature.

Second: FOLLOWING THE Jesus Pattern: the ONLY purpose of an assembly is as A School of the Word.

When God put MEN or ANERS in full authority it was to Teach that which had been taught and to refute or silence anyone who opposed that which had been taught. MEN in this case specificially EXCLUDES women.  Now, the SAVED men is the Greek Word:

Men as Anthropose are men and women inclusively: in the synagogue everyone sat in reverence and silence while a senior male READ the Biblical text. Women past, present and future are subject to the emotional form of music and drama.  Music from mystery means "to make the lambs dumb before the slaughter."

As in Corinth Paul was always concerned that women just out of paganism would have been the prophesiers connected to their god by wine, music or drugs. Paul said that if the Corinthians needed to know anything he would write them another letter. Musical performers have always claimed to be mediators between women and the gods.

NO HUMAN CAN BE WORSHIP LEADER

"Worship Leaders" (perhaps a blasphemous title) claim to be mediators by leading you into the presence of God.  They also claim to bring God INTO the presence by their roles as WORSHIP LEADERS.  However, they repudiate Jesus Christ when they try it.

Jesus earned His role as SOLE teacher when the elders teach that which has been taught.

At His baptism God pronounced Jesus as the Son of a Father: the pagans then and now believed that Sophia, Zoe etc. were DAUGHTERS of the MOTHER GODDESS. Lifting holy hands is not the same as waving unholy arms and clapping hands which signaled "I am available" in pagan assemblies.

That does not meant that women will be SAVED by having children.  She will be SAFE in childbearing. The usurped AUTHORITY or AUTHENTIA identified the women who had infants and under the arousal of Molech worship GAVE UP their children to be BURNED (1 Corinthians 13). The Assembly was to gather and READ the text as it was written: this was to guard against people inserting their own opinions in song and sermon.  The object from the synagogue in the wilderness onward was to read and rehearse or make certain that everyone understood The Book of the Covenant of Grace.  Discussion was limited to that portion of the text.

And again Paul COMMANDED that the women be SILENT. Mike Cope can say that no longer applies in HIS culture.  However, you cannot USE women in ruling over roles (preaching with a tune etc) without declaring that PAUL WAS JUST FLAT WRONG.
    That is to warn against speaking in tongues real or gibberish which upsets the teaching role. That is to warn against musical instruments which is an exclusive role of women in religions which opposed the Word.. And it is the MARK of the Locusts: In John's coded message Abaddon unleashes the MUSES as his musical worship team. Their role is to SEPARATE people as threshing the grain.
