Jesus: Trinity is blasphemy. John: Trinity is Antichrist. "Jesus as God" is based on John 1:1

John wrote many decades after Jesus to REFUTE

1.  Hermes is the ancient and modern LOGOS and Rubel-Shelly approved father of the New HERMEneutics.  Hermes--a jubal version--was the father or creator of the harp while still in his crib.  He gave it to Apollo, Apollon or Apollyon used too "send forth love arrows" into male and female friends.  THIS IS BASED ON THE ROLE OF SETH.

2. Rubel Shelly And the Word Was God
  This is on another page and lists ALL of the ways that Logos, Verba, Sermo is used and NEVER identifies the SCRIPTURES as a PERSON.

The Word [Sermon Calvin] or LOGOS is God's WORD which he puts directly into the MOUTH of Moses, Prophets and LASTLY Jesus Who--as FLESH--could be seen and heard.

3. GENESIS 1 CREATION BY OF MATERIAL WORLD PARALLEL TO JOHN 1 CREATION OF THE KINGDOM OF JESUS

4. Theophilus on TRIAS to deny that TRIAS meant TRINITY. The World Created by God Through the Word.

5. Thomas Campbell and most agreed with Tertullian who used the word TRIAS.

1 Timothy 2 wants both men and women to be silent for different reason.

Men just out of paganis were prone to encourage WRATH which is the Greek ORGE or an ORGY.'

      An orgy is defined
Clement of Alexandria   Let us then avoid custom as we would a dangerous headland, or the threatening Charybdis, or the mythic sirens. It chokes man, turns him away from truth, leads him away from life: custom is a snare, a gulf, a pit, a mischievous winnowing fan. "Urge the ship beyond that smoke and billow." (Odyss., xii. 219.)

Let us shun, fellow-mariners, let us shun this billow; it vomits forth fire: it is a wicked island, heaped with bones and corpses, and in it sings a fair courtesan, Pleasure, delighting with music for the common ear.

"Hie thee hither, far-famed Ulysses, great glory of the Achaeans;
Moor the ship, that thou mayest hears diviner voice." (Odyss., xii. 184.)

She praises thee, O mariner, and calls the illustrious; and the courtesan tries to win to herself the glory of the Greeks.

Leave her to prey on the dead; a heavenly spirit comes to thy help: pass by Pleasure, she beguiles. "Let not a woman with flowing train cheat you of your senses,
        With her flattering
prattle seeking your hurt." Sail past the song; it works death.

This makes everyone SAFE so that we might "Come to a knowledge of the Truth."

Then and now self-authoring women claim to be guided by The Holy Spirit.  However, in all of the silence passages this DENIED that:

1Tim. 2:5 For there is one God,
        and one mediator between God and men,
        the MAN Christ Jesus,

John may have been written very late because it corrects many of the false teachings of the Synagogue of Satan which included Greeks and Jews who taught that Jesus was GOD in the flesh to deny that the man Jesus of Nazareth could have taught and acted by the POWER of God.  Jesus always denies that He had any power or WORDS of His won.

John 1 and other passages are used to prove that Jesus of Nazareth existed ETERNALLY as one of there God persons. In 1938 H. Leo Boles for the first time in history taught that the GODHEAD meant that God was one or FRIENDLY but existed as three separate PERSONS each with their own "center of consciousness" or spirits.  Paul was guided after his baptism by "Jesus of Nazareth" whom Paul mus see and hear.  When the Holy Spirit prevented Paul from going into Bithynia he is called the Spirit OF Jesus.

Review of The Gospel Advocate, January 2008, page 18, Earl D. Edwards, Director of graduate studies at Freed-hardeman eewwards@fhu.edu.

Earl Edwards at LU, Clearly, for the inspired Paul, any distortion of God's message is serious. to preach a Jesus who is not divine or a Holy Spirit who is not a person or a God who is not in three persons is to preach "another god" who is not the God of the Bible. Such teaching does, indeed matter.

The Greeks and the "progressives" teaching a new Hermeneutic such as Rubel Shelly says that John was speaking of the Greek LOGOS or Hermes.  Hermes was the god of thieves, liars and perverts at all Market Places. Scripture is most often the ANTITHESIS of PAGANISM.  Word or Logos is one of the FEATURES of God by which He SPEAKS in order to create.

John 1:1 In the BEGINNING was the Word,

THE BEGINNING IS NOT THAT OF GENESIS BUT THE BEGINNING OF THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM

Jesus didn't create almost infinite universe.
2Pet. 3:6 Whereby the world that then was,

To me, Socrates, such digressions are quite as agreeable as the argument; for they are easier for a man of my age to follow. However, if you prefer, let us return to our argument.

Mark 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
and the Word was WITH God,
        Pros
refers to that from which something comes: of origin or descent, from, on the side of,
                of effects proceeding from what cause soever:
 Words are emitted by God when He speaks
And the SPIRIT OF  God moved [fluttered like a dove] upon the face of the waters.
Gen. 1:3 And God SAID, Let there be light: and there WAS light.

  THE ANTITHESIS OF:  Apollōnos the god of Light, Lucifer  before, in presence of,
and the Word was God.
WORD or LOGOS, except in paganism, can never be a god or man: Word is what God SPEAKS when He conveys His SPIRIT meaning "His mental disposition."
GOD IS LIGHT IN THE SAME SENSE THAT HE IS WORD, GRACE, RIGHTEOUSNESS: these are all made VISIBLE AND AUDIBLE by Jesus of Nazareth.
GOD IS LIGHT:

1John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you,
        that GOD IS LIGHT, and in him is no darkness at all.
Rev. 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone

JESUS REFLECTED THAT LIGHT 30 YEARS AFTER HE WAS BORN IN THE FLESH

2Cor. 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness,
        hath shined in our hearts,
        to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God
        in the face of Jesus Christ.
John 1:2 The same [WORD] was in the beginning with God.

John 1:3 All things were made by him; [God through His Word]
        and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Psa. 33:6 By the WORD of the Lord were the heavens MADE;
        and all the host of them by the BREATH [H7307 SPIRIT]

of his MOUTH.
Psa. 33:7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together AS an heap:
        he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
Psa. 33:8 Let all the earth fear the Lord:
        let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
Psa. 33:9 For he SPAKE, and it was done;
        he COMMANDED, and it stood fast.
SPIRIT is the SPIRIT OF God meaning His Own Spirit or mental disposition. SPIRIT produces WORDS of God's Instruction. Jesus was the LAST One into whose MOUTH God put His WORDS without any other god person to make it possible
2Sam. 23:2 The SPIRIT of the Lord spake by me,
         and his WORD was in my tongue.
2Chr. 36:22 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia,
        that the WORD of the Lord spoken by the MOUTH of Jeremiah might be accomplished,
        the Lord stirred up the SPIRIT of Cyrus king of Persia,
        that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom,
        and put it also in writing, saying,

Job 15:13 That thou turnest thy SPIRIT against God,
        and lettest such WORDS go out of thy mouth?
Job 26:4 To whom hast thou uttered WORDS?
        and whose SPIRIT came from thee?
Prov. 1:23 Turn you at my reproof:
        behold, I will pour out my SPIRIT unto you,
        I will make known my WORDS unto you.

Prov. 17:27 He that hath knowledge spareth his WORDS:
        and a man of understanding is of an excellent SPIRIT.

Is. 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord;
        My SPIRIT that is upon thee,
        and my WORDS which I have put in thy mouth,
        shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed,
        nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord,
        from henceforth and for ever.
Jesus didn't create almost infinite universe.
2Pet. 3:6 Whereby the world that then was,
        being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pet. 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now,
        by the same word are kept in store,
        reserved unto fire against the day of judgment
        and perdition of ungodly men.
John 1:4 In him was LIFE; and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men.
John 1:5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light,
        that all men through him might believe.
John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

Neither is God as LIGHT or WORD a god Person.

John 1:9 That was the true Light,
        which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 1:10 He was in the WORLD,
        and the world was MADE by him,
        and the world knew him not.

Made is not the first creation which was DESTROYED BY WATER.  Jesus brought a REGENERATED State.

John 1:12 But as many as received him,

God as word became the WORDS spoken by Jesus. BAPTISM is a mark or seal that one has heard the WORD which excludes and is marked by rhetoric, singing, playing instruments, acting or anything beyond SPEAK or READ.
Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received HIS WORD were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
God sent Jesus for a small band of LOST SPIRITS: pilgrims and sojourners in the WORLD.  The World or Kosmos is the ecumenical and the kingdom of Satan making war against the Kingdom of Christ.

John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh,
        nor of the will of man, but of God.

GOD DIDN'T BECOME VISIBLE AS FLESH: HIS WORDS BECAME FLESH

John 1:14 And the Word was made FLESH,
        and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
        the glory as of the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the Father,)
        full of GRACE and TRUTH.

IT IS AN INSULT TO SAY THAT GOD BECAME FLESH. God put His WORDS into the MOUTH of Jesus and that is defined by the parable word SPIRIT.

John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
        the FLESH PROFITETH NOTHING
        the WORDS that I SPEAK unto you,
        they are SPIRIT, and they are LIFE.

Calvin said that God's SPEECH (or Sermo) became flesh. The Latin is:
Verbum A Word
what is spoken or said;  words, expressions, language, discourse, conversation,
Orally, by word of mouth (opp. scripturā):  eccl. Lat. as a translation of logos

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them,
        When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he,
                and that I do nothing of myself;
                but as my FATHER hath TAUGHT me,
                I SPEAK these things.

Jesus was not the WORD but He SPOKE the WORD and the WORD became visible and audible.

If the MAN Jesus was GOD then John wrote nonesense.

John 12:49 For I have not spoken of myself;
        but the Father which sent me,
                HE gave me a commandment,
                what I should SAY, and what I should S[EAL.
John 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting:
        whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
John 16:25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs:
        but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs,
        but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
The WORD is that which Jesus and everyone SPOKE to convey the Spirit or Mind of God.  You cannot behold the Word but you can behold the Word in the FLESH.Jesus was born of the SEED of David 30 years before He was baptized or SANCTIFIED and sent into the World
Rom. 1:2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
Rom. 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
         which was made of the seed of David according to the FLESH;

Rom. 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power,
        according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Rev. 1:5 And from Jesus Christ,
        who is the faithful witness,
        and the first begotten of the dead,
        and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

The Kingdom then came with power on the day of Pentecost and those who were baptized had their spirits made perfect and became brothers of Jesus Christ Who still exists in Holy Spirit form.
Grace and most qualities are PERSONIFIED.
        The GRACES of the pagan world were blue--eyed, blond singer-prostitutes.
        The ANTITHESIS: God's Grace TEACHES His people to reject the Grace of the World.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared [became visible] to all men,
Titus 2:12 TEACHING us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,
         we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

John 1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying,
        This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me
                is preferred before me:
                for he was before me.
John 1:27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe’s latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
WE KNOW THAT JESUS WAS BORN AFTER JOHN but this does not prove that Jesus existed before He was born in the flesh.

g4253. pro/ pro, pro; a primary preposition; “fore”, i.e. in front of, prior (figuratively, superior) to: — above, ago, before, or ever. In the comparative, it retains the same significations.
John 1:16 And of HIS fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

His fulness of the GODHEAD means "divine nature" and not a three-headed god.  We also enjoy the Divine Nature but we are not gods.

Jesus made the WORD audible in the same sense that Moses mad the LAW audible.

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses,
        but grace and TRUTH came BY Jesus Christ.

The TRUTH is the WORD
John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy WORD IS TRUTH (never a person]

John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the SON OF GOD .
John 1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked,
        he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
John 1:37 ¶ And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
John 1:38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
John 1:39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
John 1:40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
John 1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
John 1:43 ¶ The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
John 1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
John 1:50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

John denied that God came in the FLESH.  Other scholars also wrote to debunk that God ws THREE PERSONS but that God was TRIAS within Himself with no need for a SPIRIT person other than His own Spirit.

Hermes is the ancient and modern LOGOS

Chapter XV.-The Sethians Support Their Doctrines by an Allegorical Interpretation of Scripture; Their System Really Derived from Natural Philosophers and from the Orphic Rites; Adopt the Homeric Cosmogony.

These are the statements which the patrons

[Patron is: prostatai, This is a military expression applied to those placed in the foremost ranks of a battalion of soldiers; but it was also employed in civil affairs, to designate, for instance at Athens, those who protected the metotkoi (aliens), and others without the rights of citizenship. IIrostath" was the Roman Patronus.]

of the Sethian doctrines make, as far as it is possible to declare in a few words. Their system, however, is made up (of tenets) from natural (philosophers), and of expressions uttered in reference to different other subjects; and transferring (the sense of) these to the Eternal Logos, they explain them as we have declared.

But they assert likewise that Moses confirms their doctrine when he says, "Darkness, and mist, and tempest." These, (the Sethian) says, are the three principles (of our system);

or when he states that three were born in paradise-Adam, Eve, the serpent;
or when he speaks of three (persons, namely) Cain, Abel, Seth;
and again of three (others)-Shem, Ham, Japheth;
or when he mentions three patriarchs-Abraham, Isaac, Jacob;
or when he speaks of the existence of three days before sun and moon; or when he mentions three laws-
        prohibitory, permissive, and adjudicatory of punishment.

> Now, a prohibitory law is as follows:

"Of every tree that is in paradise thou mayest freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou mayest not eat.[Gen. ii. 16, 17.]

The entire system of their doctrine, however, is (derived) from the ancient theologians Musaeus, and Linus, and Orpheus, [These belong to the legendary period of Greek philosophy.

Musaeus flourished amon the Athenians,

Amusement is for the sake of relaxation, and relaxation must necessarily be pleasant, for it is a way of curing the pain due to laborious work; also entertainment ought admittedly to be not only honorable but also pleasant, for happiness is derived from both honor and pleasure; [20]

but we all pronounce music to be one of the pleasantest things, whether instrumental or instrumental and vocal music together (at least Musaeus says,

'Song is man's sweetest joy,' and that is why people with good reason introduce it at parties and entertainments,

for its exhilarating effect), so that for this reason also one might suppose that the younger men ought to be educated in music

Linus among the Thebans, and

Phoebus is singing a dirge, after his happier strains, [350] for Linus dead in his beauty, striking his lyre with key of gold; but I wish to sing a song of praise, a crown to all his toil,

on the one who has gone to the gloom beneath the nether world, [355] whether I am to call him son of Zeus or of Amphitryon. For the virtue of noble toils is a glory to the dead.

Orpheus among the Thracians.

"If I had the voice and music of Orpheus so that I could charm Demeter's daughter or her husband with song and fetch you from Hades, I would have gone down to the Underworld,

and neither Pluto's hound nor Charon the ferryman of souls standing at the oar would have kept me from bringing you back to the light alive.

"But now wait for me to arrive there when I die and prepare a home where you may dwell with me. [365] For I shall command my children here to bury me in the same coffin with you and to lay out my body next to yours.

Thomas Campbell and most agreed with Tertullian who used the word TRIAS.

Tertullian an inventor of trias c. ad 206: But, first, I shall discuss His essential nature, and so the nature of His birth will be understood. We have already asserted that

God made the world, and all which it contains,
         by His Word, and Reason, and Power.

 It is abundantly plain that your philosophers, too,
 regard the
Logos-that is, the Word and Reason-
         as the
Creator of the universe.

And we, in like manner, hold that the Word, and Reason, and Power,
by which we have said God made all,
have SPIRIT as their proper and essential
substratum
, in which
       the
Word has in being to give forth UTTERENCES,
.......and REASON abides to dispose and arrange,

......and POWER is over all to execute.

We have been taught that

He
(reason) proceeds forth from God,
and
in that PROCESSION He is GENERATED;

so that He is the SON of God,

and is called God from unity of substance with God.
For God, too, is a
Spirit.

Even when the RAY is shot from the sun,
..........it is still part of the parent mass; the sun will still be in the
          ray, because it is a ray of the sun-
..........there is no division of substance,
          but
merely an extension.

Thus Christ is Spirit OF Spirit, and God OF God, as light OF light is kindled. [Jesus: My WORDS are SPIRIT and LIFE

any number of shoots possessed of its qualities;

, and the two are one. In this way also, as He is Spirit of Spirit and God of God,

He [SPIRIT] is made a second in manner of existence-in position, not in nature; and He did not withdraw from the original source,
           but went forth.
This ray of God, then, as it was always foretold in ancient times, descending into a certain virgin, and made FLESH in her womb,
..........is in His birth God and man united.
Campbell, Thomax, Trinity The relationship of Word to God was the same as the relationship of a word to a thought.

And so this is the most common understanding among the church fathers. The the word is the SON of the speaker as FATHER then there is ot problem trying to sort out how a LITERAL son of god could be equal with the Father or of the same age.

1st. A WORD is a sign or representative of a thought or an idea
and is the idea in an
audible or visible form.
It is the exact image of that invisible thought
which is a perfect
secret to all the world until it is expressed.

2d. All men think or form ideas by means of words or images; so that no man can think without words or symbols of some sort.

3d. Hence it follows that the word and the idea which it represents,
        are
co-etaneous, or of the same age or antiquity.
.......
.
It is true the word may not be uttered or born
        for years or ages after the idea exists,
........but still the word is just as old as the idea.

4th. The idea and the word are nevertheless distinct from each other, though the relation between them is the nearest known on earth.
........An idea cannot exist without a word
        nor a word without an idea.

5th. He that is acquainted with the WORD, is acquainted with the
IDEA
        for the idea is
wholly in the word.

By putting together the above remarks on the term word,
we have a full view of what John intended to communicate.

As a word is an exact IMAGE of an IDEA,
so is "The WORD" an exact image of the invisible God.

As a WORD cannot exist without an idea, nor an idea without a word,
        so
God never was without "The Word,"
        nor "The Word" without God;

or as a word is of equal age, or co-etaneous with its idea,
        so "
The Word" and God are co-eternal.

And as an idea does not create its word nor a word its idea; so God did not create "The Word," nor the "Word" God.

Chapter IX.-The Prophet's Inspired by the Holy Ghost.

But men of God  carrying in them A holy spirit and becoming prophets, being inspired and made wise by God, became God-taught, and holy, and righteous.

Wherefore they were also deemed worthy of receiving this reward, that they should become
........... instruments of God, and contain the wisdom that is from Him,
........... ........... through which wisdom they uttered both
........... ........... what regarded the creation of the world and all other things.

For they predicted also pestilences, and famines, and wars. And there was not one or two, but many, at various times and seasons among the Hebrews; and also among the Greeks there was the Sibyl; and they all have spoken things consistent and harmonious with each other, both what happened before them and what happened in their own time, and what things are now being fulfilled in our own day: wherefore we are persuaded also concerning the future things that they will fall out, as also the first have been accomplished.

Chapter X.-The World Created by God Through the Word.

And first, they taught us with one consent that God made all things out of nothing; for nothing was coeval with God: but He being His own place, and wanting nothing,
........... and existing before the ages, willed to make man by whom He might be known;
........... for him, therefore, He prepared the world.
........... For he that is created is also needy; but he that is uncreated stands in need of nothing.

God, then, having His own Word internal within His own bowels,
........... begat Him, emitting Him
........... along with His own wisdom before all things.

He had this Word as a helper in the things that were created by Him, and by Him He made all things.

He is called "governing principle", because He rules, and is Lord of all things fashioned by Him.
He, then, being
Spirit of God,
        and governing
principle,
        and
wisdom,
        and
power of the highest,
came down upon the prophets
, and through them spoke of the creation of the world and of all other things.  (This was the Spirit of Christ, 1 Peter 1:11; Revelation 19:10)

For the prophets were not when the world came into existence,

but the wisdom [Spirit in this instance is Sophia] of God which was in Him, and
His holy Word which was always present with Him.

Wherefore He speaks thus by the prophet Solomon:

"When He prepared the heavens I (Wisdom or Sophia) was there,
and when He appointed the foundations of the earth I was by Him as one brought up with Him."

[Ps. cxix. 130. Note this tribute to the inspired Scriptures and their converting power; I might almost say their sacramental energy, referring to John vi. 63.]

Jesus DENIED that the Spirit was ANOTHER GOD or "brother"
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
        the words that I speak unto you,
        they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63

And Moses, who lived many years before Solomon, or, rather, the Word of God by him as by an instrument, says, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

First he named the "beginning," and "creation," then he thus introduced God;
........... Beginning: 21 That is, the first principle, whom he has just shown to be the Word.

for not lightly and on slight occasion is it right to name God.
........... For the divine wisdom foreknew that some would trifle
........... and name a multitude of gods that do not exist.

In order, therefore, that the living God might be known by His works
and that [it might be known that]
by His Word God created the heavens and the earth,
        and all that is therein,
        he said, "In the beginning [Word] God created the heavens and the earth."

Then having spoken of their creation, he explains to us: "And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God moved upon the water."

This, sacred Scripture teaches at the outset, to show that matter, from which God made and fashioned the world, was in some manner created, being produced by God. [1 Cor. ii. 9.]T

Rejecting or minimizing baptism means to call God a Liar. They are not just ignorant: they are evil and there is no redemption for them.
