The Church of Christ Absolute Pattern

 WHY FOREORDAINED WORLD-PEOPLE ARE FOREORDAINED.

Jude warned against the return of the Mount Sinai Instrumental-Trinitarian-Perverted "play"

Jude 3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you
        of the common salvation,
it was needful for me to WRITE unto you,
and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend
for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
Jude 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares,
who were before of old ORDAINED to this CONDEMNATION,
ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness,
and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jude 5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this,
how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt,
afterward destroyed them that believed not.

This Syracusan went about exhibiting his troupe, whose wonderful performance was a source of income to him.

Our Comfort Zones.  One of the common mantras over the internet these days springs from Liberation Theology which must be grouped with feminist theology where "patriarchial religion is destroyed by small acts of treachery." But, Jesus died to give us a Comfort Zone called the church for rest, reading and study of the Word of God free from the discord of hypocritic religion: rhetoric, singing and playing instruments."

Part of the reason Pepperdine University is going in this direction may have to do with its Provost, Darryl Tippens ("chief academic officer" of Pepperdine University), who lists the following people as those he admires: Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Soren Kierkegaard, Kathleen Norris, and Anne Lamott (all promoters of mysticism). In Tippens own book, Pilgrim Heart: The Way of Jesus in Everyday Life, Tippens references Thomas Merton a number of times and encourages the use of contemplative practices such as lectio divina, going into the silence (the outcome of mantric-style practices)

mantra (mănˈtrə, mŭn–), in Hinduism and Buddhism, mystic words used in ritual and meditation. A mantra is believed to be the sound form of reality, having the power to bring into being the reality it represents. There are several types of mantras. Sanskrit verses used in the Vedic sacrifice are known as mantras. Bija-mantra or “seed-sounds,” used mainly in Tantra, are syllables without semantic value having an occult affinity for particular deities or forces; use of such mantras usually requires initiation by a guru. Extremely common is the repetition (japa) of the name of a deity and the singing of devotional phrases (mahamantra); for those mantras initiation is not required.

When Miller says that "Christian spirituality" cannot be explained, he means that solid, unchangeable biblical doctrine and theology do not exist. When Miller says "Christian spirituality" can only be "experienced," this is referring to mysticism. That can be substantiated when Miller says: "You cannot be a Christian without being a mystic" (p. 202).

Strabo in his Geography wrote:

[10.3.17] From its melody and rhythm and instruments, all Thracian music has been considered to be Asiatic. And this is clear, first, from the places where the Muses have been worshipped, for Pieria and Olympus and Pimpla and Leibethrum were in ancient times Thracian places and mountains, though they are now held by the Macedonians; and again, Helicon was consecrated to the Muses by the Thracians who settled in Boeotia, the same who consecrated the cave of the nymphs called Leibethrides. And again, those who devoted their attention to the music of early times are called Thracians, I mean Orpheus, Musaeus, and Thamyris; and Eumolpus, (sweet singer) too, got his name from there. And those writers who have consecrated the whole of Asia, as far as India, to Dionysus, derive the greater part of music from there. And one writer says, "striking the Asiatic cithara"; another calls flutes "Berecyntian" and "Phrygian"; and some of the instruments have been called by barbarian names, "nablas," "sambyce," "barbitos," "magadis," and several others.

THE ONE-PIECE ASSEMBLY FOR SCHOOL AND NEVER WORSHIP WITH HANDS OF MEN

THE LORD'S SUPPER WAS JUST TO CONFESS THAT ONLY JESUS GETS TO TEACH
1Tim. 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Tim. 2:5 For there is ONE GOD
and one mediator between God and men,
        the MAN Christ Jesus;
1Tim. 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be TESTAFIED  in due time.
1Tim. 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle,
(I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

[PROPHESIED]
THE HOLY SPIRIT MEANING "GOD PUTS HIS WORD INTO THE MOUTH OF THE PROPHETS AND JESUS FOR THE LAST TIME and defines the PATTERN for assembly.

1Pet. 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently,
who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Pet. 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time
the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify,
when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
1Pet. 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed,
that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things,
which are now reported unto you
by them that have preached the gospel unto you
        with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven;
which things the angels desire to look into.

THE ONLY ASSEMBLY AS SCHOOL AS WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND NOT WORSHIP IN THE FLESH

Thomas Campbell defined:
CHURCH:   is A School of Christ
WORSHIP: is Reading and Musing the WORD
synagogue, also spelled synagog, in Judaism, a community house of worship that serves as a place not only for liturgical services but also for assembly and study. Its traditional functions are reflected in three Hebrew synonyms for synagogue: bet ha-tefilla (“house of prayer”), bet ha-kneset (“house of assembly”), and bet ha-midrash (“house of study”). The term synagogue is of Greek origin (synagein, “to bring together”) and means “a place of assembly.” The Yiddish word shul (from German Schule, “school”) is also used to refer to the synagogue, and in modern times the word temple is common among some Reform and Conservative congregations.

TOPICAL LIST OF CHURCH OF CHRIST TEACHINGS BIBLICAL IF NOT ALWAYS IN PRACTICE.

Scripture makes it clear (Romans 14) that most spheres of life are not subjects of dialog or "disputation" as the business of the church of Christ. In Romans 15 Paul defines the ekklesia or synagogue which Jesus died to found. The Church of Christ: A CHURCH of CHRIST is a ONE-ANOTHER ASSEMBLY of believers freed from the ANXIETY OF RELIGIOUS CEREMONY and enabled to teach one another. It is not for MUSICAL PERFORMANCE engaged in THE IDOLATRY OF TALENT. We have outlined those HANDS OFF spheres here.

Restoration of the church is always an effort to resist attempts to merge the church with all religious groups by those who may have high ideals but a low regard for the church and the Word. Therefore, these articles speak to those efforts to divide the church and institute a "new wineskins revival."

The Church of Christ is The Kingdom of God is within you. If the Levitical warrior noise makers would be executed if they dared to enter into the Holy Place as a type of the body or church of Christ, OR if they went into the Most Holy Place which typifies worship which happens ONLY in the new PLACE of the human spirit devoted to the truth. The "spirits" are "pseudo-prophets" or musical prophesiers: God does not even know your name!

God in Christ promised to build an ekklesia. This Greek word is similar to various Greek words defining the Synagogue in various forms. The building or the group is known as the EKKLESIA which was like a county court in Greek society. However, when one gathers Paul uses a form of the SYNAGOGUE. In his Jewish background that spoke of the Jewish Synagogue. The Synagoge was organized for prayer and for listening to the Biblical text read. The reader or president might explain any unclear passage in Aramaic or other languages. Because it was a SCHOOL of the Bible there "was no praise service." Indeed, we don't make music when we go to school.

As background you may want to read some background to the synagogue. Click here. As the "church in the wilderness" or the Qahal the assembly was only for instructions. The term triumph or alarm meant to "play instruments and/or make a joyful noise before the Lord." This was not worship but boasting in battle to try to panic the enemy into running away.

The word CHARISMATIC while worshiping Chara-the Grace-only goddess, is most often attached to perverted sexuality Charismatic ecstasy is speaking as "prophets." The only background for "threskia" form of ceremonial worship was founded by Orpheus one of the "fathers" of music and what Paul identified as MADNESS or speaking in tongues in 1 Cor 14. Chara or GRACE was a goddess. Charismatic connected directly to attempting to bind spirit and flesh together in the "harmony" principle of Apollyon or Apollo: "moving together" involved only two persons and was acted out in homosexuality: usually in pederasty (sodomy) which was common in ALL priesthoods or brotherhoods of religious performers.

The Gospel Means "Good News." Gospel includes being freed from the bondange common to all ancient religions organized like national, human institutions. The best way to illustrate freedom is to examine some of the world's attempts to restore legalistic, set-aside clergy claiming their ordained choice and training by "God's Sovereign Grace" and your "free will" tithe to support them.

BECOMMING A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST

You cannot Join Christ's Church: Christ must add you. Only those who were baptized believers were said to have been baptized into Christ or added by Him to His church. This is the request to God for a CLEAR CONSCIENCE (1 Peter 3:21). In Acts 2:38 the promise of the gift of A holy spirit is defined in 1 Peter as a clear CONSCIOUSNESS which remission of sins gives you as you can come boldly fefore the throne of grace. The word means "co-perception" or the ability to discern the Holy Spirit which is the Mind of Christ (1 Cor 2)

First you must believe in the God Who came fully in the flesh of Lord Jesus Christ. That is, you must repeat the Shema confirmed by Jesus that There is Only One God.

The triad of gods or a family of gods is the ancient Babylonian trinity. No one prior to our generation saw God as three, separated persons. Therefore, to become a Christian you must believe that Jesus Christ is the image of a spiritual person God wants you to become.

One ceases to be a believer when one denies that Christ came fully in the flesh. The new "god family" or incarnation views permits the direct operation of the Spirit which gives you the right to ignore everything but the Core Gospel and just make up your own narrative theology.

If you do not believe and trust Jesus Christ to be your One and only Teacher and mediator then you will not obey His will. If you are a believer then you cannot sign up with Jesus the Carpenter until you turn away from Willie the Wine Maker. If you give your "school money" to a pretender then you are disloyal to the Master Teacher and He will turn away.

Becoming a member of the church is like the ancient apprenticeships where you are baptized into the name of your teacher. Jesus didn't send evangelists out to make ritual worshipers or religionists. Because Christianity is not a religion but a discipline, He wants you to become a DISCIPLE which means that only He is the teacher.

Dipping into water has no value unless you abandon your own rights and agree to suffer as a result of walking in His blood stained steps.

When you have "signed on" to the TRADE of being a Christian then Chrisit gives you A holy spirit or the ability to hear His Words. For instance, to the multitudes Jesus spoke in parables to keep the mysteries of the Faith out of their hands.

The Gift of A Holy Spirit, co-perception of spiritual discernment.

INSTITUTIONAL FINANCING

THE CHURCH OF CHRIST WORSHIP

Jesus did not prescribe worship similar to that created as "A uniquely American Worship." Worship is in spirit (mind) based upon truth (the words of Christ in song and sermon). He stressed the private and inward nature of worship. Paul, on the other hand still saw "worship" as falling on your face in awe as the result of speaking the Words as forth-telling "prophesying." "Church" was for edifying (education) and preaching through the Lord's Supper.

Psalms-Hymns-Spiritual songs are ALL inspired Bible text

It was customary in, poetry to bring down heavenly powers on earth. Not to speak of Dante, in France, clerks, as well as

The monks in the monasteries, used to give regular performances in which the Madonna, the saints; the angels, Christ, and God Himself were brought on the stage. (Musical Praise Teams or Musical Worship Teams Can Still do it!)

In those days it was done in all simplicity. In Victor Hugo's 'Notre Dame de Paris' an edifying and gratuitous spectacle was provided for the people in the Hotel de Ville of Paris in the reign of Louis XI. in honour of the birth of the dauphin. The Grand Inquisitor

And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. 2 Chronicles 7:5
And the priests waited on their offices: (Religious)

David the king had made to praise the Lord,

when David praised by their ministry; (Notice: not the congregation!)
and the priests sounded trumpets before them,
and all Israel stood (Those present must stand fast). 2 Chronicles 7:6

Did you get it? No? Well, take another look. David did not compose, invent and institute musical instruments under the commanders of the army for you! Nor did he do it for congregational worship. Hezekiah and David were stopping the plague.

The Agape or Love Feast

The Pagan Agape or Love Feast at Skyway Hills Church of Christ. Yale Canfield. As a national Jew, Jesus would not do BBQ and communion. Oh! Oh! Didn't Jesus bless the BREAD and SWINE! OINK, If you love Jesus!

Agape was a goddess: the love-feast involved adultery between brethren and sisteren who offered the product or menstrul blood up to Christ and then consuming it in connection with the EUCHARIST. If you worship her (or Sophia-ZOE) she will make a fool of you. Be my guest because Paul said: "Fools love to be fooled" and the more you pay the more you deserve to be led by the blind.

Clement of Alexandria in Pedagogue II has some harsh words for the Agape and Instrumental music.

See the Funerary connection between the Agape and daily pagan meals which ideally was for the poor only.

The agape feast was from the first a survival, under Christian and Jewish forms, of the old sacrificial systems of a pre-Christian age. Sheep, rams, bullocks, fowls are given sacrificial salt to lick, and then sacrificed by the priest and deacon, who has the levitical portions of the victim as his perquisite.

WOMEN AS PASTORS

The "pastor" is the person who is the primary "feeder" of the flock. God ordained senior males who were heads of families and totally competent teachers of the Word. After the period of inspired elders Paul's instruction was to "give yourself to reading the Word and prayer." The prohibition of "stand over" or "non-silent" or "non-sedantary" women also applies to men who are not inspired (1 Cor. 14).

PARA - CHURCH GROUPS

If we can build a "church house" and call it the 'house of God" with absolutely no command, example or even remote inference that it is necessary, we can probably band together in larger groups to minister mercy to people which no single congregation can do. However, any time any "institution" is added to the assembly upon the first day of the week the primary purpose of the church is diluted and minimized. For instance, take the Lord's Supper after sunset on Sunday night is probably doing so on the second day of the week. "Prayer circles" are a passing fad where the sheer force of prayer is superstitiously believed to "importune God" into doing something that a simple prayer would not work.

Too often prayer groups or home meetings are remedial: how do we "revive" the group? Prayer can be seen as a human substitute for God's answered prayer through the Word.
