That's a lie if he means as his staff agrees that Campbell wanted UNITY with the SECTS. He said that there must be baptized Christians in all of the SECTS and if so they should come out of Babylon. He called the Disciples-Christians a SECT because he said they only showed how people could be DIVIDED.

It is a fact that these pseudo scholars work as hard as they can to subject members to "instrumental bands to teach our youth to leave our movement. There is no denominational college who would tolerate a faculty member disloyal to the Baptist Church or to their view of Scripture. The college was founded by and for members of the Church of Christ. In the April 1993 issue of Wineskins Cope wrote an especially shameful piece entitled "Cheers: A Minister's Fantasy Ending." This was shocking because Cheers glamorized illicit sex and perversity from its debut in 1983 through the final episode in 1993.

In recent letters addressed to Royce Money, president of Abilene Christian University; Jack Reese, chairman of the department of graduate Bible and ministry at ACU; and Ian Fair, dean of the College of Biblical Studies at ACU, fawn before the president, diminish themselves, deceive the board, and insult a trusting brotherhood as they undertake the defense of the indefensible.
The matter at issue, again, is the infamous Resner article denying the virgin birth of the Son of God. In the November 1992 issue of Wineskins magazine Andre Resner calls Matthew "sneaky" and says Mary was "another sexually questionable woman." Resner, an ACU professor, compares the virgin mother of the Lord to two adulteresses and a prostitute. he asks, "Why should not Messiah be born of similar circumstances?
Resner explains, according to the Fair statement, he was writing to those born after 1945. He did not realize that some of us born before 1945 would read the article. He claims that he wrote in a style and manner baby boomers would understand but that would offend older brothers and sisters

One of the vital reasons to RESTORE first century Christianity is that it was the POINT IN TIME WHEN Christ left His Full Glory on the "Throne" and dwelled in a man of flesh. God came into the physical world, not as another pagan religionists, but The Only Spiritual Teacher. The SPIRIT or THE WORD OF CHRIST or THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN was the ONLY RESOURCE for teaching or preaching (singing) in the church to instill the Word into the HEART. Paul said that the way to GLORIFY GOD with ONE VOICE is to use THAT WHICH IS WRITTEN.
The church of Christ is built, not on a confession of Peter but, on the fact that Jesus as God Incarnate is the promised Messiah Who would silence the "songs in the temples" and be the ONE MASTER TEACHER using His Written Word which is SPIRIT just as His Human body contained Father and Spirit. What He built was not a church but a synagogue or school of the Bible. After all, He sent men out to MAKE DISCIPLES and not ritualistic worshippers.
"Dr. Royce Money is the President of ACU. In connection with the 75th Annual ACU Lectureship in 1993, Dr. Money delivered an address entitled "On this Rock I will Build My Church." A transcript of the address was widely published by ACU, and was even included as a paid advertising insert in the May, 1993, edition of the Christian Chronicle. "Often I have read this passage [Matthew 16:13-18], and every time I find myself wondering what Jesus had in mind when he said 'church.' Maybe someone would tell Royce Money that Jesus never said: I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH. The word is ekklesia which in the Greek Old Testament (LXX) is translated synagogue.
Jesus identified his SONSHIP role as to teach only what He heard from the Father within. The command was not to go build a worship center but to MAKE DISCIPLES. That means to make students of the word. He would take care of adding them to the church. The apostles went out "laying the foundation" by preaching the Word "as it had been taught." Therefore, Jesus says in many ways that the SOLID BASE of being a disciple is His Word which is SPIRIT and LIFE.
If we established a School of Homer we would insult Homer if we made up our own poems. Homer's teaching is the foundation of learning about Homer and the ancient world.
What He said was "I will build my ekklesia" or SYNAGOGUE: A school of the Bible and not just another pagan, music-dominated WORSHIP CENTER:

But, why did God have to come in the flesh? Because NO MAN can teach other than to "teach that which has been taught" and is able to say: "Thus saith the Lord." Christ did not die for musical worship or obscene, burden- lading programs.

So, God built His BIBLE TEACHING EKKLESIA by the use of His ARM. The Arm was also the ROCK which is the only foundation. The ekklesia or assembly or synagogue is built on JESUS CHRIST as the manifestation of God to be our ONE AND ONLY TEACHER.
The OLD COVENANT was devoted to animal sacrifices with MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS as a type of sacrificing Jesus Christ Who was sacrificed with LEVITICAL WARRIOR MUSIC TO MOCK.
The next step of the temple would be the Holy Place. It typified the Communion Table of bread (of life and fellowship), the Menorah or seven-spirits of Christ which are not "little men" but the spirits OF Divine knowledge. Finally, the incense altar represented our PERSONAL prayers by which we can enter the MOST HOLY PLACE and "come boldly before the throne of Grace." One at a time if you please without any Levitical singers or musicians.
Jesus said that OUR PERSONAL SPIRIT is the only place God seeks our worship and teaches us with the SPIRIT OF TRUTH.

And people could aspire to sit at the right of the pulpit, at the left of the pulpit and AT the pulpit by removing the promised presence of Jesus Christ when we gather by twos and threes. HE personally teaches us just as He did in the first century if we READ His words and discuss them.
The woman, in effect, made the same confession Peter made: remember that the prostitutes were more capable of heeding the command to be baptized than the DOCTORS.

The REST Jesus gave was the REST of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was never a DAY OF WORSHIP but a day of REST. On that day people loved to go into the local synagogue, hear the Word read and dialoged, pray his own PERSONAL prayers and fellowship with others. CHURCHING in the ACU pattern utterly destroys that which Jesus died for. The rest:

The SABBATH was deliberately chosen as the DAY FOR REST AND "NOT SPEAKING YOUR OWN WORDS" to keep people form travelling to the Babylonian form WORSHIP CENTERS. The Sabbath in Babylon was for the gods and their clergy AGENTS to rest while the common people WORKED to feed, clothe, house and entertain the gods (their agents, the clergy).

Aflicted is "responsive singing, shouting, testifying, announcing, sing together by course." Anah (h6030, 6031). That is how they afflicted and still AFFLICT Jesus with the "crucifying music for animal sacrifice." The Bible from heaven and the garden of Eden to the end times in Revelation 18 condemns instrumental music and associates it with LADING THE BURDEN which Jesus died to remove.
The Sabbath was designed to CALL OUT God's people from the Babylonian rituals performed on the Sabbath because the Sabbath began in Babylon to burden the common people while the god's AGENTS were served. Jesus died to remove ALL burdens of rituals and taxes.

If the church becomes ecumenical and quite identical to all other "churching" to escape the ACU curse of being "sectarian" then we would have violated the purpose of Jesus Christ to ekklesia or CALL OUT people from paganism to REST and SYNAGOGUE or learn the Word to keep us out of the WORLD. If we "become as much like the world as possible to seek the world" then we repudiate the REST He gives us as a fundamental part of the Gospel.

DUNG was almost a code word for the COURT of the temple filled with dung, blood, smell of flesh and the odor of burning flesh. When the MUSICAL WORSHIP TEAM who conducted the dead in funerals or performed at religious rituals tried to HELP Jesus heal or appease the "dead" girl Jesus said that she was not DEAD in the sense that she had become a demon. They laughed Jesus to scorn as people do today with singing, clapping and playing instruments while JESUS is trying to SPEAK in His synagogue. As a result, Jesus cast them out more or less violently using a word meaning like one "ejects dung." This has a basis in the Classics.

The craftsmen are like the mantikos, the soothsayer, divination. He is associated with Apollo or Abaddon or Apollyon who arouses the locusts. The locusts were Apollo's MUSES or musicians.
