The Zoe Group - Music, Drama, Dance as Change Agent

He loathed her, but he sang songs of praise up to Sophia and her daughter Zoe. And Sophia and Zoe caught him up and gave him charge of the seventh heaven,

The Origin of the Change Movement intending to drive YOU out of your comfort zones into their comfort zone--and pay them too--originated in a Commercial institution called The Zoe Group. Things acceptable in the marketplace--where Jesus consigned the pipers, singers and dancers--is not acceptable fo the ekklesia or church.

See our first review of the Zoe Group to see that ZOE is LUCIFER.

ZOE in Phoenix: The Gold is not in the superstition hills but He is the God Who made the Hills. Zoe takes a question and turns it into a direct command: "Shall I look to the hills? No. I will look to the God who made the hills." Restoration of the most ancient pagan belief about God.

Pistis is ( Faith ), Barbelo is ( forethought ), Sophia is 'mind' ( wisdom, knowing from whence she came). She is the first creation of YHWH, she is his mate, his image. She and only she recognizes her creator. She is also called his daughter. She is the one of 'pure light' that conceived a 'son' of the 'pure light'. The pure light is Christ, the 'first begotten one', and it is Seth who calls himself "me" above.

Her daughter is called 'Eve of life' or Zoe, the 'holy spirit'.

Sophia also created Yaldabaoth, but he is 'empty'.

He has 'light' but he does not contain 'pure light'. He lacks wisdom. The first Adam , material man, was created by the 'prime parent', Yaldabaoth, but this is not YHWH.

Madison Church of Christ: Musical Seed Sown, Thistles of Discord Reaped as Planned.

From the Hypostasis of the Archons we can understand the gnostic roots of attempts to climb into the presence of God through experiences worked upon the external, physical nature:

"And Zoe (Life), the daughter of Pistis Sophia (Wisdom in Proverbs), cried out and said to him, "You are mistaken, Sakla!" - for which the alternative name is Yaltabaoth. She breathed into his face, and her breath became a fiery angel for her; and that angel bound Yaldabaoth and cast him down into Tartaros below the abyss.

"Now when his offspring Sabaoth saw the force of that angel, he repented and condemned his father and his mother, matter. He loathed her, but he sang songs of praise up to Sophia and her daughter Zoe. And Sophia and Zoe caught him up and gave him charge of the seventh heaven, below the veil between above and below. And he is called 'God of the forces, Sabaoth', since he is up above the forces of chaos, for Sophia established him.

"Now when these (events) had come to pass, he made himself a huge four-faced chariot of cherubim, and

infinitely many angels to act as ministers, and
also
harps and lyres.
And
Sophia took her daughter Zoe and had her sit upon his right

to teach him about the things that exist in the eighth (heaven); and the angel of wrath she placed upon his left. Since that day, his right (feminine) has been called 'life'; and the left has come to represent the unrighteousness of the realm of absolute power above.

One Zoe Fellowship Believes
"We believe in the Blessed Hope, the rapture of the saints, which is in Christ at his return.

"We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, and faith in the precious blood of Jesus.

"We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.

Another The Zoe Group is a secular institution dedicated to making changes in the commercial workplace. Because both secular and religious groups use the same name and use some of the same methodology we cannot assume any organizational connection. The secular Zoe Group has much the same format as a religious Zoe Group.

THE OPENLY COMMERCIAL ZOE GROUP
HUMANIZING THE WORKPLACE IS A COMPETETIVE STRATEGY.
OUR PURPOSE
Zoe is committed to developing and encouraging the most dynamic aspects of human potential through organizational and personal behavioral change.

(Note: Click to see how the vocabulary is so similar to the feminine-dominating schemes in witchcraft, especially "human potential" and drama).

OUR BELIEFS
A pre-requisite for growth within any organization is a deep-seated shift in the thinking and behavior of the executives and managers. Zoe achieves these changes through a process approach. Process means to experience the art of building relationships, listening and facilitating groups.

Subtle but powerful, an experiential--oriented approach leads to a deeper understanding of the art of communication and relationship. Imminent psychologist, Dr. Carl Jung, said that we humans do not solve problems, we outgrown them. It is through process that we outgrow a problem.

(Click here to get a small dose of Jung whose disciples love words like "paradigm".)

"Many people take the Myers-Briggs type indicator test, read about the Goddess and her influence, participate in a twelve-step program, join a men's identity group, or use visualization to rid themselves of cancer and other diseases, not knowing that in the twentieth century Jung formulated (or was influential in the formulation of) these revolutionary concepts.

Of Jung: ".... Occultism is another field we shall have to conquer -- with the aid of the libido theory (sexual urge or psychic energy), it seems to me. At the moment I am looking into astrology, which seems indispensable for a proper understanding of mythology. There are strange and wondrous things in these lands... of darkness." Jung went on to state, "I dare say that we shall one day discover in astrology a good deal of knowledge that has been intuitively projected into the heavens. For instance, it appears that the signs of the zodiac are character pictures, in other words libido symbols which depict the typical qualities of the libido at a given moment."

Who is Carl Gustav Jung? The question is not an easy one to answer. The traditional history of Carl Jung, which has officially circulated for years, holds that he founded a psychoanalytical school during the early years of this century that somewhat paralleled and rivaled that of Sigmund Freud. However, in recent years documents from the past have been released which reveal more of Jung's character, his beliefs, and his involvement in the occult. We have chosen to review a controversial new book, The Jung Cult: Origins of a Charismatic Movement by Richard Noll (Princeton University Press, 1994), as the primary source of our discussion on Carl Jung. We review this particular book because it candidly explores Jung's fascination with the occult in a historical and cultural context. (Click to see the Book and other New-Age books)

Jung's Gnosticism is indisputable. Friend and foe alike have acknowledged Jung's belief that becoming one with god or finding the god within, i.e., self-deification, was an essential part of becoming whole, or attaining maturity in his psychological constructs. "Jung reenvisioned psychoanalysis as a way to achieve both personal and cultural renewal and rebirth." (Noll. p. 112)

Carl Jung's participation in the occult has been well-documented; however, Noll casts new light on Jung's life and beliefs. It is Noll's premise that Jung was setting up a system (paradigm) of redemption that challenged biblical Christianity with the intention of ultimately replacing it with a type of new religion:

... it is arguable that Jung set out to design a cult of redemption or renewal in the period beginning as early as 1912. This was a mystery cult that promised the initiate revitalization through contact with pagan, pre-Christian layer of the unconscious mind.

By doing so, one would have a direct experience of God, which was experienced as an inner sun or star that was the fiery core of one's being. (Noll, p. 141)

An article in The Quest magazine, a New Age periodical, entitled "The New Religious Consciousness," by Joseph M. Felser (Summer 95) discussed the yearning of 18th century Romantics for a new religion to replace Christianity. Joseph Campbell, Carl Jung's chief promoter in America, is cited as having "argued that

we are in a chaotic transitional period in which a new mythology, as the successor to all the great world religions, is being incubated." The article goes on to say that "...Campbell earnestly believed that such a new mythology would arise in due course, though he could not by his own theory say exactly what the new form would be."

"when the symbols provided by the social group no longer work, and the symbols that do work are no longer of the group, the individual cracks away, becomes disassociated and disoriented, and we are confronted with what can only be named a pathology of the symbol." (Joseph Campbell, p. 89). Click Here to see how Joseph Campbell noted that things like wine (or wineskins) is an affect image which has mystical power to disorder the mind of the weak. Music and drama are the change agents of choice because science clearly shows that it closes down the left (masculine) nature and leaves the left-brain (feminine or effeminate) emotion open so that no critical evaluation can take place. For instance, those who "experienced" Jubilee emotionally felt good but some who saw it remotely, felt repulsed:

"Jung claims that patients can be trained to do this by "first of all in systematic practice to

eliminate critical attention,
whereby a
vacuum is produced in consciousness."

In essence, the techniques Jung then recommends are those that

actively promote the dissociation of consciousness and therefore
disrupt the so-called normal sense of continuity of self, identity, volition, and the processes of memory. (Noll, p. 229)

Jubilee 98 seemed focused strongly on the experential. For instance, while most people don't feel the need to "raise holy hands in prayer," part of the estimated 1/4 million dollars was spent to bring the worshipers into intimate contact and emotionally force them to "raise holy hands." This ZOE or outward-flesh experience had a magical effect which could never happen if the people had not been "preped" by music, hand waving and other events in the shadow of the "Asherah Poles."

OUR (ZOE'S) VISION
In our new definition of Power it is an energy which flows freely throughout an organization, rather than accumulating and stagnating at any level. The vision is a simple circle in which connection, inter-dependence and independence interact creatively. As part of a circle, both the human spirit and the corporate culture can unite in passion and purpose.
WHO WE ARE

The Zoe Group is
creator and producer of the actively experiential Numinous Process. (this Unitarian article left us!) This comprehensive training program

synthesizes the concepts of
individual and group psychology,
process and
circle work,
performance and theater exercises,
vision quest and rituals
to
facilitate change and growth.

This work develops heightened skills of communication in which the corporate culture becomes more dynamic, cooperative, fluid and creative.

Of course, this Gnosticism adopted by Corporate Change Agents is the "Mother" of the Gnosticism in the church. For instance, in the Look to the Hills preparatory for Jubilee 99 the Zoe Group will help the people preparing for Jubilee 99 with:

Gifted worship leaders and resource people,
multi-media presentations,
great communicators and innovative worship activities
will lead those who attend into deeper levels of worship.
Activities will include:
Uplifting music
Stirring drama
Individual worship and meditation
Choral reading and singing
Concerts of prayer
Small group interaction Communion
Proclamation of the Word Models for
worship renewal Classes and worship instruction
Books, recordings and resources Interaction with other worshippers.

"Instinct and Revelation revolves around the hypothesis that ritual behavior and imaginative awareness in early hominids may have helped to spawn the evolution of the human brain and human consciousness. (Alondra Oubr, Instinct and Revelation)

"What does Numinous mean? Numinous is the wonderous. Numinous is the mysterious. The word numinous describes the sense of awe and wonder when in the presence of a greater spiritual power.

For instance, standing at the edge of the Grand Canyon, you are humbled and overwhelmed by its beauty, grandeur, and unfathomable power... you are experiencing the numinous qualities of the Grand Canyon. Numinous music is often catagorized as New Age, World, or Electronic because it is primarily instrumental and not strictly classical (i.e. non traditional). From Universalist-Unitarian Source. For the Book Click Here.

The Britannica notes that: "Music, like the word, also may have symbolic meaning. The basic elements out of which musical symbolism is built are sounds, tones, melodies, harmonies, and the various musical instruments, among which is the human voice.

Sound effects can have a numinous (spiritual) character and

may be used to bring about contact with the realm of the holy.

A specific tone may call one to an awareness of the holy, make the holy present, and produce an experience of the holy. This may be done by means of drums, gongs, bells, or other instruments.

The ritual instruments can, through their shape or the materials from which they are made, have symbolic meaning. The Uitoto in Colombia, for example, believe that all the souls of their ancestors are contained in the ritual drums. (See liturgical music.)

From Cults and the Projection of the Numinous

"Conventional revealed religion (traditionalism), which Jung described so well as protecting ordinary people from a direct experience of God, is generally not effective for the modern rational urbanite as a suitable hook to carry the projected Numinous. It is too primitive, too old, too thoroughly critiqued, relativised and dismissed to have much power for a fully modern consciousness.

Jung described faith as the ability to believe that which one knows to be untrue;

I think that sort of faith is much less viable now than it was in his day, and I can't see it as much of a loss. But it did serve an essential psychological function in providing a way for the Numinous to be projected and experienced in a relatively safe and non-disruptive manner.

The closure of this safety-valve leaves no recourse but a direct and personal experience of the Numinous, absent social sanction and established structure and support. The rational, atheistic individual in whom this pressure has built to the point or undermining the fundamental repressive structures of the mental-ego is at great risk for falling under the spell of the first Mana-personality they encounter, whether it be a run-of-the-mill ambulatory psychopath Messiah, a Fascist strong-man, or a bald castrato waiting for his spaceship to come in.

"This theory of cultic obsession smoothly accommodates the observation that
highly intelligent
, very rational urbanites are at risk of cultic absorption.

While the Urban Change Agents are ready to claim mental and spiritual superiority over the rurals, it is a fact that it is the pretend-intellectuals who are most likely to fall under the hypnotic spell of a psychological manipulator (musical facilitator).

While the Lord is my Shepherd rather than Financial Advisor, Rubel Shelly and the Seeker fans lament the dominance of rural or agricultural themes in singing:

"Urban churches continue to sing hymns built on agricultural and nautical metaphors when neither is our context any longer. In examining one widely used book of church songs, we were able to find only one out of 600 that had a clearly urban setting. Praise ought to be in relevant words and images, and it needs to be set to contemporary music. (Rubel Shelly and Randy Harris, The Second Incarnation, p. 136)

It is well documented that "urban" songs are rock, rap and boogy-woogy and not spiritual! Those derive from Voodoo!

LEAH TAYLOR one of the Team:

While the Zoe Group may have great success at developing a group mind for the corporate world, these techniques have no place in the Christian environment. Notice that these Zoe techniques are quite identical to the Zoe Group and Jubilee 99 as a "facilitator" organization for the introduction of Gnostic religion into the church:

"Leah Taylor is a certified trainer for Corporate Scenes, Inc. and has worked with companies such as AT&T, Pacific Bell and Sandia Laboratories. Currently Ms Taylor is an adjunct faculty member at the University of San Francisco, teaching in the College of Professional Studies. She received her BS in Human Relations and organizational behavior from the University of San Francisco and completed an M.Ed. in Creative Arts and Learning, Theater Studies and Communications from Lesley College, Cambridge, MA. During her fifteen years experience as a successful business woman, theater artist and teacher she has led group sessions and individual tutorials at intensive residential training programs for teachers, actors and business professionals from South Africa, Canada, Germany, Ukraine, UK and the US.

SEDONIA CAHILL

Sedonia Cahill is an experienced seminar teacher and trainer. As the founder and director of The Great Round, Inc. she has led hundreds of individuals and groups on Vision Quests over the past thirteen years. She is the author of The Ceremonial Circle, a book on community building, personal development and effective communication.. Ms Cahill has a BA in Liberal Arts and an MA in Psychology, and is a visiting instructor at Sonoma State University. She has had a private counseling practice for fifteen years. Ms Cahill has done work for the Social Services of the state of California, the Rex Foundation, the Ohrbach Foundation, Rhythm For Life Foundation, New Dimensions Foundation, the Institute of Noetic Sciences and the California Public School System. She has presented at conferences throughout the country on such topics as gender issues, personal power and finding vision and teaches seminars throughout the US, Canada, Australia and the Ukraine.

Noetic means: to perceive, of, or existing or originating in the intellect. Given to or involving purely intellectual speculation. Webster

A Testimonial: "My initial motivation for Wisdom Circles came during a vision quest led by Sedonia Cahill. I was looking for a way to regain the faith in humankind and the determination to make a difference that I had had during my years as a social activist in the 1960s. During that week in the desert, I found my new mission: to encourage people to meet in circles and then to find a way to network those circles. I asked Sedonia and my husband, Charles Garfield, to join me and together we founded Wisdom Circles.

"In a wisdom circle we are encouraged to express our own anger, frustration, pain, and the ways we have numbed ourselves to the experience of others. We are also encouraged to share the joys, moments of truth and peak experiences of our lives so that others may renew their faith in life and gain sustenance for the inevitable dark times. Through ritual, we create a sacred space beyond ordinary time, so we can engage each other at a significant level of openness and vulnerability. To do so, it then becomes paramount that we learn how to listen, speak and act from the heart.

While we do not doubt the value of these processes to some people we doubt that it would be endorsed by Jesus as a way to achieve spiritual revival.

Zoe: OUR APPROACH
"According to organizational theorist Karl Weick, action should proceed planning. [Is that "precede" or just Fraudian?]

Being active in creating a healthy work environment means building, piece by piece, a structure of people working together cooperatively, comfortably and productively. Weick promotes the idea that learning about interpersonal dynamics through action and interaction creates the enthusiasm and insight to allow planning stages to follow naturally.

This is explained as: "To live in a quantum world, to weave here and there with ease and grace, we will need to change what we do.

We will need to stop describing tasks and instead facilitate process. We will need to become savvy about how to build relationships, how to nurture growing, evolving things.

All of us will need better skills in listening, communicating and facilitating groups because these are the talents that build strong relationships." -Margaret J Wheatley, Leadership and the New Science.

Well, a lot of people just don't pull punches when they tell you that they are going to hire a Worship Facilitation Minister to move you out of your comfort zone and force into their zone just short of breaking you. For instance, if you bend people's mind too quickly and against their wills they will catch on and you will break. However, if you bend them just to the "critical" point and then relieve the preasure, the next time you can bend them a bit closer to your superior slant. For instance,

Lynn Anderson writes:

Fact one

Change does not come without disequilibrium. (To destroy the balance)

Fact two

People cannot endure sustained disequilibrium! Here is where most eye-on-the-goal, can't-wait-for-the-plodders style of change agents mess up. They push people into acute disequilibrium and hold them there till an explosion comes. So, what to do! (Note: who gave preachers the authority to do that???)

Strategy one

Weave! Alternate between safety and disequilibrium. Teach new ideas a while, stretching your church out beyond comfort zones and into fresh thinking...

Strategy two

Employ prayerful brinkmanship!.. ("To the brink of war. The policy of pursuing a hazardous course of action to the brink of catastrophe." Webster)

Lynn Anderson, Navigating the Winds of Change, 172-173 (Designated change agent for Jubilee 99)

We noted from the Greek definition of ZOE means, " the animal sentient principle only." As it applies to spiritual life it is something which only Christ can give. It cannot be attained by human effort. The Zoe concept presupposes that woman came first and had to work quite diligently to arouse old Adam from his animal stupor before the Female could instruct and rule over the male. As Sophia-Zoe had to stir up Adam's flesh to get his brain working:

"You can't have revival without stirring up the flesh....When revival comes you will see manifestations of these three things in meetings:

(1) the Holy Spirit; (2) the flesh, and

(3) the devil. But, I'd rather be in a church where the devil and the flesh are manifesting than in a church where nothing is happening because people are too afraid to manifest anything...Don't worry about it. And if a devil manifests, don't worry about that, either. Rejoice, because at least something is happening!" Rodney Howard-Browne

To see how this is identical to the practices of witchraft as a means to convert and effeminize the worship circles, Click Here.

This may be the method of Lynn Anderson of Jubilee 99 at which he may (if we understand the parable) displace the previous three little horns from the role of king of the change agent movement) Revelation 17 and Daniel 7 are universal patterns for the little Armageddons all of us have to battle:

And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. Daniel 7:24

And he shall speak (poetically) great (as the embodiment of the adversary) words against the most High, and

shall wear out the saints of the most High, and

think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. (3 1/2 years) Daniel 7:25

But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. Daniel 7:26

As little mountains of Armageddon they can be identified by the word:

Airo (g142) ah'ee-ro; a prim. verb; to lift; by impl. to take up or away; fig. to raise the voice, keep in suspense (the mind); spec. to sail away (i.e. weigh anchor); by Heb. [comp. 5375] to expiate sin: - away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up). (honorable men, magnify, marriage utterly wear out from H5375) (Jubilees were to take away sins)

Remember that the mountain of armageddon are people who rise up, lift up and exalt themselves above the plain. This final battle is not the war of the worlds. Rather, it is the war of the words. The battle is from the Greek-

Polemeo (g4170) pol-em-eh'-o; from 4171; to be (engaged) in warfare, i.e. to battle (lit. or fig.): - fight, (make) war.

Polemic is from the Greek "polemikos" and means a war: "to shake, cause to tremble, dispute, controversial, argumentative. A polimicist is one "skilled in making war." (Webster) (I.e. a skilled change agent)

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs (toads) come out of the mouth (edge of a weapon) of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. Re 16:13

These kings for an hour are really frogs and they are not what they are quacked up to be. They are-

"Quacks were represented as frogs and were associated metaphorically with serpents." (Vine) (Marsh-leapers in Hebrew)

Lord Jesus Christ came to take away the keys to knowledge from those who had taken the Word away from the people of the Kingdom. He denounced the clergy and said that we should call no man "Doctor of the Law" or Rabbi. Instead, He came to relieve His people of the burdens of the clergy and the burdens they laid on the congregation as
prayerful brinkmanship. He said:

Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Mt.11:28

The Burden He removed is the burden Lynn Anderson and the musical worshipers try to lay on the congregation even if it takes a long time and a lot of dangerous plotting:

Phortizo (g5412) for-tid'-zo; from 5414; to load up (prop. as aa vessel or animal), i.e. figurative (of Lynn's Change Agentry) to overburden with ceremony (or spiritual anxiety): - lade, be heavy laden.

The peace and load-lifting Jesus died to give the least of us was:

Anapauo (g373) an-up-ow'-o; from 303 and 3973; (reflex.) to repose (lit. or fig. [be exempt], remain); by impl. to refresh: - take ease, refresh, (give, take) rest.

Note: Book on New Science Crystals and Dragons by David Wade:

"By reintroducing us to the Pythagorean world of number and pattern, David Wade anticipates the coming synthesis of traditional philosophy and modern science (and religion) which will effectively amount to a new world order. . .

we leave behind us the world of competitiveness and (reactionary behavior)

and are led towards the higher reality where every element in Creation enjoys its rightful place and contributes to universal harmony." From the Introduction by John Michell.

Note: Pythagoras was the father of the Babylonian system of mystical, Musical moving into the presence of God in Greece. He learned this skill at a "Seminar" while living in Babylon where the High Priest was at the top of the Tower of Babel and you had to work your way up to god through the worship facilitator with music. The clergy was made up of priests, soothsayers, musicians and prostitutes. Joscelyn Godwin, in Music, Mysticism and Magic notes that:

"The heavenly singing does not extend or reach as far as the Creator's earth, as do the rays of the sun, because of His providential care for the human race. For it rouses to madness those who hear it, and produces in the soul an indescribable and unrestrained pleasure.

It causes them to despise food and drink and to die an untimely death through hunger in their desire for the song. Philo (45 A.D.) (Note: See Amos 5; 6; 8 for a literal fulfillment)

And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord God: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence. Amos 8:3

Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail, Amos 8:4

And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day. Amos 8:10

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: Amos 8:11

And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. Amos 8:12

"Pythagoras was likewise of the opinion that music contributed greatly to health, if it was used in an appropriate manner.

For he was accustomed to employ a purification of this kind, but not in a careless way.

And he called the medicine which is obtained through music by the name of purification....

And there are certain melodies devised as remedies against the passions of the soul, and also against despondancy and lamentation, which Pythagoras invented as things that afford the greatest assistance in these maladies.

There is another kind of modulation invented as a remedy against desires. Iamblichus (300 A.D.)

"At times we partake of the lowest power of God, at others of the middle [power], at still others of the highest [i.e., first]. Sometimes it is a mere participation, again it is a communion [fellowship or sharing], or again it becomes a union of these [two] kinds. Now the soul enjoys complete separation; again it is still involved in the body, or [else] the whole nature is laid hold of (and controlled].

Hence the signs of possession are manifold: either movement of the body and its parts, or complete relaxation;

[either] singing choirs, round dances, and harmonious voices, or the opposite of these.

[The] bodies have been seen to rise up, grow, or move freely in the air, and the opposite has also been observed. They have been heard to utter [different] voices of equal strength, or with great diversity and inequality, in tones that alternated with silence; and again in other cases harmonious crescendo or diminuendo of tone, and in still other cases other kinds of utterance. (Iamblichus, On the Mysteries, III, 5)

Consistent with the hiring of musical worship facilitator to help "lead the worshipers into the presence of God," the ancient pagans knew the change methods to heal, enchant, and experience the gods:

"Farther still, the whole Pythagoric school produced by certain appropriate songs, what they called exartysis, or adaptation; synarmoge, or elegance of manners; and epaphe, or contact,

usefully conducting the dispositions of the soul to passions contrary to those which it before possessed.

"For when they went to bed, they purified the reasoning power from the perturbations and noises to which it had been exposed during the day, by certain odes and peculiar songs, and by this means procured for them tranquil sleep, and few and good dreams. But when they rose from bed, they again liberated themselves from the torpor and heaviness of sleep, by songs of another kind. Sometimes, also, by musical sounds alone, unaccompanied with words, they healed the passions of the soul and certain diseases, enchanting, as they say, in reality....After this manner, therefore, Pythagoras through music produced the most beneficial correction of human manners and lives. Iamblichus (300 A.D.)

The Commercial Zoe Group IMPLEMENTATION
Theatrical work which leads directly to the building blocks of healthy interpersonal dynamics. By practicing basic theatrical principles of improvisation, interviewing and role-playing exercises, participants may address: How do I use body language? Does my body communicate the same messages as my words? How do I use my voice? How can my imagination improve communication and make it more dynamic? Can I improve my ability to "think on my feet" and be spontaneous and flexible?

You strum away on your harps like David and improvise on musical instruments. Am.6:5

"Rituals which are appropriate to the setting are employed to help participants work with the growth and change of the organization. Constructive ritual can help: Create an effective and dynamic work-team. Facilitate meetings that are productive and take less time. Organize people so they feel accountable and responsible for the decisions their team makes. Repair respect and trust among people who are adversarial and resentful. Learn to be fully present with fellow workers. Genuinely care about co-workers and jobs.

Some elements of the Noetic Circle, New Age, Pythagorean revival, and human potential movements are revealed in the following stories:

Killing the Truth
"One day Mara, who is the ancient Buddhist god of ignorance and evil, was travelling through the villages of India with his attendants. Along the way, he noticed a man doing a walking meditation. The man's face was lit up in wonder. Apparently, the man had just discovered something on the ground in front of him.

"Mara's attendants, noticing the glow emanating from the man, asked Mara what it was the man had discovered. Mara replied, "He has discovered a piece of truth."

"But evil one!" exclaimed one of his entourage, "Doesn't this bother you when someone....?"

"No," said Mara. "I am not troubled in the least."

"But why not?" insisted his attendants.

"Because," replied Mara, chuckling, " when they discover some truth, they usually make a belief out of it."  --Buddhist story

When the enlightened, intelligents in the urban blight (more susceptible to cults) discover some new truth the "audience" had already known - for instance the truth about grace - it is tempting to fill the lecture circuits and book stores with merchandise about "How I discovered grace and you did not know, and now I want to castigate my whole fellowship for being legalistic and deliterious and hold a seminar." Still don't have a clue about grace! Now, Gramsci (followed up the work of Karl Marx) is the darling of changing cluture and building a new control scheme.
