Preaching was an Apostolic task. They delivered all that pertains to life and godliness. God's House or Family is the opposite of an institution and removes Priests, Levites or Princes. The epistles were intended to be READ and private interpretation outlaws Further Expounding. Any thing added to the Last Will and Testament of Jesus Christ also denies that Father, Son, Apostles and Epistles apply after the revelation of a new hermeneutic and a new homilectic. Homilectic defines a ONE ANOTHER assembly and, like many other words, have been STOLEN as a way to reach fame and fortune without being SENT as the demand of PREACHING.

"And, lest they complain that they are unjustly traduced for the fault of a few, what are we to think of those who not only luxuriate on the public revenues of the church, but abuse them in paying the hire of panders and courtesans? I speak only of what is notorious.
Paul's "Corrupting the Word" means selling your learning at retail: the same word means adultery."
Then, were we to ask, I say, not at the whole order, but at the few who reside in their benefices, by what right they receive even a frugal and moderate stipend, even such a question they are not able to answer. For what duties do they perform in return? In the same way as anciently, under the laws, those who served at the altar lived by the altar, "even so hath the Lord ordained, that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel" (1 Cor. 9:14).
These are Paul's words. Let them, then, show us that they are ministers of the gospel, and I will have no difficulty in conceding their right to stipend. The ox must not be muzzled that treadeth out the corn [1 Cor. 9:9]. But is it not altogether at variance with reason that the ploughing oxen should starve, and the lazy asses be fed?
They will say, however, that they serve at the altar. I answer, that the priests under the law deserved maintenance, by ministering at an altar; but that, as Paul declares, the case under the New Testament is different. And what are those altar services, for which they allege that maintenance is due to them
Forsooth, that they may perform their masses and chant in churches, for example, partly labor to no purpose, and partly perpetrate sacrilege, thereby provoking the anger of God. See for what it is that they are alimented at the public expense!

"The first full description of the nature of the exercise is the oft-cited passage from Nehemiah viii. 1-8, when Ezra and his associates "read in the book of the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading." Here we have the true scriptural idea of the preacher's function: to make the people understand what is in God's word. The Christian minister's commission is in these words: "Preach the word; (herald the word) be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and doctrine." (2 Tim. iv. 2.)
The object of preaching is the salvation of the soul; and that salvation consists in a redemptin from the guilt, love and practice of iniquity.
The instrument of this redemption is God's truth, as he has revealed it. "Sanctify them through THY TRUTH.
The preacher is most explicitly called a HERALD; that is, the deliverer of a message. Now, the herald does not make his message, he merely transmits it. He has nothing to do with judging its wisdom or fitness; let him simply proclaim it as it is given to him. This was God's command to an ancient preacher: "Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee." (Jonah iii. 2.)
AN ABSOLUTE: Rom. 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they BE SENT? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the GOSPEL of peace, and PREACH glad tidings of good things!
Or, the preacher's office may be illustrated by the work of one who uses a die put into his hands, to form impressions on some plastic substance. The sinful soul is that substance. The word of God is the die; and the divine image of knowledge and true holiness is the impression to be formed. God, who made man's soul, and therefore knows it made the die; and of course he best knew how to make it, to produce the impression he desired.
Now, the workman's business is not to criticize, re-carve, or alter the die which is committed to him, but simply to press it down upon the substance to be shaped. In this view, how plain is it that all preaching must be accurately representative of Bible truth, and in Bible proportions? Else it is not God's work.
The preacher's business is simply to take what he finds in the Scriptures, and as he finds it, and press it down upon the understandings, hearts, and consciences of men. Nothing else is his business as a preacher.
The die is just so sharp and hard, so large and so perfect as God would have it. He judged it was the right die to produce the impression he intends. This is enough for us. Here we have a few obvious truths which none will dispute who are known as evangelical Christians. But if we are not mistaken, they contain the following deductions, by which many things very prevalent in the practice of persons considering themselves evangelical are condemned.
Not only must Bible topics form the whole subject matter of preaching, but they must be presented in scriptural aspects and proportions. God made the Bible for the people, not raw material which the religious philosopher is to work over into new forms.
Here is a simple and admitted fact, which is full of neglected inferences. The book of God is not like the book of creation, a mixed and crude mass of the ore of knowlege, which must become the subject of scientific re-arrangement, to become intelligible to common minds.
The Bible is for the people; this is the great principle of Protestants. And this implies that God, who knew best, has set forth the truth he purposed to apply in such forms and aspects as he knew would best suit the human mind. There can be no other forms of presentation so suitable to the people, because God has chosen these. The preacher's business is just to show the people what is in the Bible," as God has there set it forth."

The Triple Goddess is one of the two essential deities found in the neo-pagan Wiccan religion and comprises the unity of three separate goddess figures described as the Maiden, Mother, and Crone. Each member of this trinity symbolises a separate stage in the female life cycle. The concept of the Triple Goddess, which is the only goddess worshipped in Dianic Wicca, actually predates Wicca and originates in the work of the poet Robert Graves (1948). Historically a number of pagan goddesses have appeared in the triadic arrangement but none were classified as maiden, mother, or crone. The maiden, mother and crone description was the contribution of Graves to modern pagan witchcraft and the contemporary triple goddess concept (Hutton, 1999).
The Maiden represents enchantment, inception, expansion, and the promise of new beginnings of birth, youth, and the waxing moon.
The Mother represents ripeness, fertility, sexuality, fulfilment, stability, the power of life, and is encapsulated by the full moon.
The Crone represents wisdom, repose, death and the terminal as indicated by the waning moon.
Lection-Divina or modern Wiccan traditions is known as Drawing down the Moon or Drawing down the Goddess (Adler, 1979). During classical times the ancient witches of Thessaly were reputed to control the moon. In the ritual of Drawing down the Moon the High Priestess of a coven attempts to achieve a state of trance and request that the Goddess, or Triple Goddess symbolised by the moon, enter her body and speak through her.

Sara Barton And, it teaches us about two people who help us imagine a full definition of intimacy – sexual, emotional, spiritual intimacy. That’s why the Song is in the Bible. That’s why it’s read in Jewish communities at the celebration of Passover every year. It proclaims that the celebration of sexual intimacy, a central human experience, is appropriate religious conversation for God’s people.
My pastoral impulse this week is to proclaim the message of the Song of Songs. And here’s why: We desperately need public, communal language about sex, and we have an oft-overlooked resource in the Bible.
I regularly read Song of Songs with college students in a Bible course I teach. And in that conversation, I own up to the fact that I like sex, that twenty-five plus years into marriage, my husband and I are still into each other, still engage in pillow talk with each other, and that we are learning with each passing year how to be more intimate with each other – sexually, emotionally, and spiritually.
Despite my insistence that the Song is spiritually significant, a few of my students insist that sex is not an appropriate subject for Bible class or even for the Bible. Some even vote for removing it from the canon. I often overhear at least one side conversation as my students leave, “That was awkward.” I find it ironic that “locker-room talk” is forgiven in our sex-saturated society, but talking about sex becomes awkward in Bible class. This tells me we are doing something wrong in the church.
Professor Robert Briffault's introductory words to his article titled "Sex in Religion" published in the book "Sex in Civilization" (Garden City Publishing Co.). He makes the matter clear.
"In the tradition of modern Western civilization no two spheres stand more sharply opposed than that of religion and that of sex. The manifestations of the latter are in that tradition the type of sin, the head-fount of that evil and impurity with which the religious spirit cannot be brought into touch without defilement and dissolution. Between religion and eroticism the antithesis is scarcely less than between religion and atheism. Yet a glance at the various religions of the world, outside Christianity and one or two closely allied systems, a survey of the religious rites of lower phases of culture, shows that the antithesis does not exist. Those religions and those rites are, on the contrary, shot through and through with riotous sensuality; the manifestations of the sex instinct, instead of being accounted incompatible with the religious spirit, are associated with it in the closest manner; and religion, in those phases, is almost as much concerned with sex as with ethics or theology.
"The religious art of New Guinea, of Polynesia, of Indonesia, of Africa, of South America is as pornographic as that of the temples of India and of Japan. For the Bible Student, Galatians 3:28 uses the word NEITHER and not BOTH as the "Doctors of the law take away the key to knowledge." The hieros gamos as a royal ritual is the creation of early city-states built on the wealth provided by agriculture [tithes]. Far from putting an end to the “primitive” village cults, they expanded and stylized them with forms that were derived from, and were variations of, earlier symbolism. AZAZEL ...There have been efforts to compare the ritual of the goat to several customs of the ancient world. In Babylonia, for instance, it was customary on the festival of Akitu (the New Year), to give a goat as a substitute for a human being to Ereshkigal (the goddess of the abyss). In an Akkadian magical inscription from the city of Assur which deals with the cure for a man who is unable to eat and drink, it is prescribed that a goat should be tied to his bed and that thus the sickness will pass to the goat. On the following morning, the goat is to be taken to the desert and decapitated. Its flesh is then cooked and put in a pit together with honey and oil, perhaps as an offering to the demons....[there was a] widespread belief that the wilderness was the habitat of demons...The demonic identification would indicate that the original purpose of the ritual was to get rid of the evil by banishing it to its original source... in the First Book of Enoch...the angel Raphael is commanded to "bind the hands and feet of Azazel and cast him into the darkness. Make an opening to the wilderness which is in Dudael and cast him there. Put upon him hard sharp rocks" (10:4–5). This is the antithesis of Church as "ritual ritual" named after Circe the holy harlot buried in sight of Patmos. Campbell points out that the serpent plays a positive role in the old legends of Moses, who carries a powerful rod which has the power to turn itself into a serpent (Ex. 4) and is commanded by God to create and uplift a brozne serpent icon which heals the Israelites (Num. 21).
A biblical instance of a sacred harlot probably associated with the tradition of hieros gamos concerns the patriarch Judah in the Book of Genesis. Judah, whose lineage is about to expire, goes to the town of Timnah for a spring sheep-shearing festival, where he has sexual relations with a veiled sacred harlot near the town gate. The woman is actually his daughter-in-law Tamar, who bears him twin sons that become the forefathers of the Tribe of Judah.
Later, such practices were strongly condemned by the prophets and writers of biblical histories. Deuteronomy 23:17 forbids the practice which Tamar imitated, saying: "No Israelite man or woman is to become a shrine prostitute." The prophet Jeremiah complained: "Have you seen what faithless Israel has done? She has gone up on every high hill and under every spreading tree and has committed adultery there" (Jeremiah 3:6).
The Books of Kings refer to male shrine prostitutes as common in the Kingdom of Judah as early as the days of King Rehoboam (tenth century B.C.E.) and as late as King Josiah (late seventh century B.C.E.): "He (Josiah) also tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes, which were in the temple of the Lord and where women did weaving for Asherah" (2 Kings 23:7).
On the other hand, the ancient tradition of the deity's conjugal relations with the people of the land found its way into the Jewish tradition when the prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah both referred to God as the "husband" of Israel. Speaking of the city of Jerusalem, Isaiah wrote: "As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you" (Isaiah 62:4). In later tradition, the Sabbath would be welcomed by the faithful congregation in the role of a Bride, and the Shekhinah would be seen as a feminine aspect of God that, among other things, plays a wifely role to a tzaddik, or holy man.
Finally, the Song of Solomon, although it has many interpretations, is often cited as an example of the literature of hieros gamos.

The word "abomination" is also key to understanding the context. In Hebrew, the word "to 'evah," (abomination) is almost invariably linked to idolatry. In the passages from which both verses are taken, God tells Moses to tell the people not to follow the idolatrous practices of the people around them, people who sacrificed their children to Molech, or who masturbated into the fire to offer their semen to Molech, for example. Chapter 20 starts off with the same warning.
"To 'evah" also means "something which is ritually unclean," not something evil in itself, like rape or theft. Sara Barton: my pastoral impulse this week is to proclaim the message of the Song of Songs. And here’s why: We desperately need public, communal language about sex, and we have an oft-overlooked resource in the Bible.Rubel Shelly and John York: Just as identity in Christ is always COMMUNITY identity,
our reading of Scripture becomes a COMMUNITY READING as well.
While we still have access to reading as individuals,
we stop asking, "What does this mean to me?"--as though there is such an isolated meaning. Instead we have a GROUP MENTALITY that asks, "What does this mean to US?"
The commanded way to PROCLAIM any Bible text is to PREACH it by READING it which is the only way to preserve the LOGOS or Regulative Principle which outlaws anything but the words READ or SPEAK which words are the opposite of ODE.
Jesus warned that theologians or Doctors of the Law Take Away the Key to Knowledge. There is no reason that they should understand that Solomon was covered up with wives and concubines or singers both male and female. Solomon built a Temple which God did not command at an old Jebusite High place. It was laready operating and now abandoned to Babylonianism. If you are ignorant of the Clay Tablets you should not presume to be a thought leader.
"There are enchanters and diviners , [mantikous kai epōdous] , versed in the rites and customs relative to the dead, who go about villages and towns begging [epait-eō 2. beg as a mendicant,,] . There are others who are more civilized and better informed than these, who inculcate the vulgar opinions concerning Hades,, which, according to their ideas, tend to piety and sanctity. Women study philosophy with some of them, but abstain from sexual intercourse. 15(61) Aristobulus says, that he saw at Taxila two SOPhists (wise men), both Brachmanes, the elder had his head shaved, but the younger wore his hair; both were attended by disciples.
Aristobulus relates also some strange and unusual customs of the people of Taxila. Those, who through poverty are unable to marry their daughters, expose them for sale in the market-place, in the flower of their age, to the sound of shell trumpets and drums, with which the war-note is given. A crowd is thus assembled. First her back, as far as the shoulders, is uncovered, then the parts in front, for the examination of any man who comes for this purpose. If she pleases him, he marries her on such conditions as may be determined upon.
Chambers' Encyclopedia says: "The Jews, as well as the early Christians, had no special names for the single days, but counted their number from the previous Sabbath, beginning with Sunday, as the first after the Sabbath, and ending with Friday, as the sixth after the previous, or eve (Ereb) of the next Sabbath.but the younger wore his hair; both were attended by disciples. When not otherwise engaged, they spent their time in the market-place. They are honoured as public counsellors, and have the liberty of taking away, without payment, whatever article they like which is exposed for sale; when any one accosts them, he pours over them oil of jessamine, in such profusion that it runs down from their eyes. Of honey and sesamum, which is exposed for sale in large quantity, they take enough to make cakes, and are fed without expense.
The planetary gods Nardouk (Jupiter), Adar (Saturn), Istar (Venus, Zoe, Lucifer), Nergal (Mars), and Nebo (Mercury),* were all worshiped by the ancient Israelites. Istar was called "Queen of the Stars." Moloch, the rival of Jehovah, who shared for centuries the worship of the Hebrews, had his blazing star, the emblem of his implacable cruelty. The worship of Astarte, daughter of the moon, and "Queen of Heaven," whose emblem was a star, was introduced by Solomon himself (1 Kings xi, 5; 2 Kings xxiii, 13).

King states that the words brahrna and abrahm have the same numerical value.Sara Barton: Song of Songs is unique in several ways, one of which is the fact that it’s the only place in Scripture where a woman’s voice leads the conversation (the woman speaks 61 of 117 verses). In light of what we’ve heard lately, it seems like a good time to let a wise woman speak about sexual activity that’s right and good, a woman who not only speaks but sings and shouts about intimate, sensual, erotic passion. And in all her talk about kissing, touching, tasting, and smelling, she does not offend with crass or vulgar language. She exemplifies how it’s possible to speak about sex and intimacy appropriately. We might do well to let her teach us a thing or two.
Paul silenced both men and women: He silenced women because they pretended and sold themselves as hearing the voice or impulses of the gods. They were silenced in all of the DIRECT COMMANDS which cannot be refuted because.

Because Solomon and the Jews had been "turned over to worship the starry host" a student should not see the Song as a PATTERN for preaching and teaching FOR hire.
Sara Barton: I regularly read Song of Songs with college students in a Bible course I teach. And in that conversation, I own up to the fact that I like sex, that twenty-five plus years into marriage, my husband and I are still into each other, still engage in pillow talk with each other, and that we are learning with each passing year how to be more intimate with each other – sexually, emotionally, and spiritually.

Sara Barton: Despite my insistence that the Song is spiritually significant, a few of my students insist that sex is not an appropriate subject for Bible class or even for the Bible. Some even vote for removing it from the canon. I often overhear at least one side conversation as my students leave, “That was awkward.” I find it ironic that “locker-room talk” is forgiven in our sex-saturated society, but talking about sex becomes awkward in Bible class. This tells me we are doing something wrong in the church.
No, this is Purpose Driven and God is doing the DRIVING. At the right time the prophecy of Revelation 17f is fulfilled. The Babylon Mother of Harlots neuters males as "lusted after fruits" (same as in Amos 8). The craftsmen are speakers, singers, instrument players and prostitutes. The Grinders and the Brides and Bridegroom and the piping sound is the mark of the Hieros Gamos or sacred end time rise of Babylonianism. When you see and hear the MARKS it is sign defined in Isaiah 30 of God driving His enemies ALIVE INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.
Jesus said that God HIDES from the wise or Sophists who are speakers, singers or instrument players SELLING themselves speaking their OWN words. Jesus calls them the sons of the Devil.
WITHOUT GETTING TOO EXPANSIVE, THE SONG OF SOLOMON IS CELEBRATING THE HOLY MARRIAGE BY WHICH THE KING AND A PROSTITUTE CELEBRATE ON BEHALF OF OTHERS.
The godly Jewish women and men were quarantined to their isolated towns and not permitted to attend this celebration of the Babylon Mother of Harlots as a temple and by a king which God did NOT command but abandoned.
Inanna Gifts of Me - Genun Jubal Parallel
Inanna as Queen of Heaven and Earth, cylinder seal, Akkad period, c. 2334-2154 BCE. In it, the Goddess wears the horned and tiered crown, image of the sacred mound, which is worn by all the major Sumerian deities, and the tiered dress worn by Sumerian goddesses. An eight-rayed star is near her, the image of the planet Venus. She carries a staff of intertwined serpents and stands on rests her foot upon lions. Shoots ending in buds spring from her right shoulder, indicating her nature as a Goddess of War and Fertility. Sometimes these buds and maces alternate with formalized images of the serpent that come from the Snake Goddesses of Neolithic times.

"She is called Dat ba'thani, Lady of the Serpent. Another name of ´Asherah in the first millennium BCE is Chawat, which is Hawah in Hebrew and Eve in English. Her full title is Rabat Chawat ´Elat, Great Lady Eve the Goddess, and is associated with the serpent. Thus, Chawa/ Eve (ZOE) is probably a form of´Asherah as a Serpent Goddess. As a snake goddess, She was also represented by bronze serpent forms, examples of which have been found in archaeological excavations in the Levant. In fact the Nehush-tan, literally the Bronze Serpent which is associated with Moses, is much more likely an emblem of Asherah. It too was removed from the Jerusalem temple the same time as the asherah objects.
THE SONG AND LAMENTING FOR TAMMUZ BY THE WOMEN IN EZEKIEL 8
The SHEPHERD is Tammuz or Adonis
INANNA (Inannu)Sumerian earth-goddess, sister of Ereshkigal. She loved Dumuzi. Babylonian mother-goddess, "mistress of heaven." See Ishtar (Babylonian) .
Nanna's daughter, and goddess of love and war. Inanna also visits Kur, which results in a myth similar to Greek seasonal story of Persephone. She sets out to witness the funeral rites of her sister-in-law Ereshkigal's husband Gugalana, the Bull of Heaven. She takes precaution before setting out, by telling her servant Ninshubur to seek assistance from Enlil, Nanna, or Enki at their shrines, should she not return. Inanna knocks on the outer gates of Kur and the gatekeeper, Neti, questions her. He consults with queen Ereshkigal and then allows Inanna to pass through the seven gates of the underworld. After each gate, she is required to remove adornments and articles of clothing, until after the seventh gate, she is naked. The Annuna pass judgment against her and Ereshkigal killed her and hung her on the wall.
The goddess Inanna was the most important female deity of ancient Mesopotamia. The etymology of her name is uncertain; but by the end of the third millennium B.C. it was taken to derive from nin.an.na : "Lady of Heaven." Also known as Innin, her epithets reflect her broad role in the pantheon: Ninmesarra - "Queen of all the Me," a title making her one of the most influential deities in the world of gods and men; Nu-ugiganna - "the Hierodule of Heaven," a projection of her erotic functions to the cosmic scale; and Usunzianna - "Exalted Cow of Heaven," she who provides life and sustenance to the land. In this aspect, it was Inanna who yearly reunited symbolically with her consort Dumuzi to restore life and fertility in the land.
This cycle, known as the Sacred Marriage, was a common theme in songs sung in her praise. Inanna represented the force of sexual reproduction and the power of the passions so incited. This passion finds its compliment in her martial character, 'the heroic champion, the destroyer of foreign lands, foremost in battle.' She was the daughter of the moon-god Nanna (though some traditions held her to be the daughter of An). Her sister was the netherworld goddess Ereskigal. Inanna's beast was the lion. Her usual symbol was the star or star disk (though it may also have been the rosette).
ISHTAR
Ishtar's primary legacy from the Sumerian tradition is the role of fertility figure; she evolved, however, into a more complex character, surrounded in myth by death and disaster, a goddess of contradictory connotations and forces: fire and fire-quenching, rejoicing and tears, fair play and enmity. The Akkadian Ishtar is also, to a greater extent, an astral deity, associated with the planet Venus: with Shamash, sun god, and Sin, moon god, she forms a secondary astral triad. In this manifestation her symbol is a star with 6, 8, or 16 rays within a circle.
She appears at times as Anu' second consort. Ishtar, with Shamash and Sin (the life-force, the sun, and the moon), formed an important triad of divinities. In astronomy Ishtar was a name of the planet Venus -- the double aspect of the goddess being made to correspond to the morning and evening star. (Lucifer)As goddess of Venus, delighting in bodily love, Ishtar was the protectress of prostitutes and the patroness of the alehouse. Part of her cult worship probably included temple prostitution, and her cult centre, Erech, was a city filled with courtesans and harlots. Her popularity was universal in the ancient Middle East, and in many centres of worship she probably subsumed numerous local goddesses.
In later myth she was known as Queen of the Universe, taking on the powers of An, Enlil, and Enki.
In Romans 14 Paul Warned against this evil practice and SILENCES anyone but those who Edify or Educate. In Romans 15 He commands "using one mind and one mouth to speaking that which is written for our LEARNING."

The Cunning Craftsmen in Ephesians 4 are sophists meaning speakers, singers or instrument player. They are silenced because these are the marks of those LYING IN WAIT TO DECEIVE.

Sara Barton: I like to think that the Song of Songs teaches us the most when we simply let the poem do what it does, and the poem celebrates sexuality in a spiritual context.
