DIVINATION AND LECTIO DIVINA

JESUS EXCLUDED THEOLOGY WHEN HE SAID CLEARLY THAT THEY ARE NOT CHRISTIANS.

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,

Walter.Brueggeman.Rejects.Scripture.Lipscomb.University.html

Walter Brueggeman "Well, to make a long story short,
        the authors of the Bible
had their own particular godly MOTIVES
for bringing these texts before us; and the moral lessons
aren't always written in front of us.

The third facet Brueggemann mentions is imagination. In seeking to understand and apply Scripture we ought to employ this faculty of creative imagining to envision “a movement of the text beyond itself in fresh ways.” It takes a measure of fantasy or imagination to “transpose ancient voices into contemporary voices of authority.” Brueggemann claims that we do this all the time in interpretation;

“those of us who think critically do not believe that the Old Testament was talking about Jesus, and yet we make the linkages.  Texts traditionally understood as prophetic and messianic he generally interprets as "Christian imagination" or "rereadings": for example, the "great light" promised in 9:2 is simply "relief from oppression" not predictive.

The title of Walter Brueggemann’s book Hopeful Imagination is revealing.  He sees the prophetic books of Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Isaiah as imaginative, poetic works which come out of a community that desperately needs hope because of the devastating political situation-- the Babylonian exile in 587 B.C.  Authors used “enormous prophetic imagination...
The poets...wrought the new actions of God by the power of their imagination, their tongues, their words.  What is clear in Brueggemann’s text is that he does not accept that the prophets spoke because they were revealing the very person and work of God.  He does not believe that the authors were recording God’s actual dealings with humans, past or future; rather, he says that they “wrought,” i.e., made up, acts of God from their imaginations.  Brueggemann is indelibly clear that he sees the prophetic books to be fanciful (he uses the word “imaginative”) creations of groups of men, rather than the revealed words and prophesies of God.  It would be one thing if Brueggemann were just one professor saying such atrocities.  But he is one of the most widely respected and read professors in the liberal community.

Gender, Witchcraft and Apostate Trap: The PATTERN is that Holy Scripture must be READ or SPOKEN. I will SPEAK there the BIBLE SPEAKS for anyone that might be left.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them,

Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received

If you hear voices, please get help: The universal message of God is that no man can be an intercessory so He sent Jesus.  God also sent Prophets, Apostles and SCRIBES to record His message. Normal people can read BLACK text on BROWN Paper.

The SHAME brought on by DOMINANT women in all universities was exactly what Paul and recorded history warned would happen. Isn't it strange that when people use idol-devices such as a LABYRINTH to hear SPIRIT-GUIDES, the message the get is to REPUDIATE all of the Biblical and Historical practices of those who FEED them

Virtually every evangelical Christian would quickly reject the proposal, especially if he were aware that a ouija board is an instrument of divination, a device for contacting spirit entities, which the Bible explicitly condemns (Dt 18:10). The basic problem with divination is that, even though the diviner is sincerely attempting to contact God, the entities with which one ends up communicating are demons (posing as Jesus, God, angels, departed loved ones, aliens, gods, etc.).

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them,

The great historian J. Robert Teringo wrote: "The fixed order of service began, after the customary greeting, with a prayer while the people remained standing facing the sacred Torah scroll. The reading of the law of Moses was next. The Torah scroll was taken from the chest and placed before a reader who read in the ancient Hebrew tongue and immediately translated it into Aramaic the language of those days. A commentary was always added to this reading. Next, a portion was read from the books of the prophets and, again, immediately translated verse by verse. After a closing prayer, the service was concluded...

Lectio Divina” means divine reading in Latin. It’s an ancient practice that teaches us how to read, meditate on and live the Word of God. History tells us that it was the Blessed Guigo the Carthusian, who wrote the “most important stages” of this way of meditating the word. It’s not a prayer with fixed rules, but it does have important phases which will guide us towards an encounter with a personal message from God to us, through the Sacred Scriptures.

These phases are four: the lectio or reading of God’s word; the meditatio, or meditation on that which we have read; the oratio, or prayer which is when we enter in dialogue with God; and finally the contemplatio, or contemplation stage in which we abandon ourselves to holy thoughts. This is when we leave behind our own thoughts and get ready to listen to God’s voice, who speaks within us.

LECTIO-DIVINA: THEIR  GOD IS HEARD AND WORSHIPPED BY WORKS OF HANDS OF MEN
[1.]  LECTIO-DIVINA'S SPIRIT'S HOW TO STEAL CHURCHES OR UNIVERSITIES.

Now if this was the case in Job's day, much more must it have been the case at the earlier period when the Mysteries were instituted. It was a matter, therefore, of necessity, if idolatry were to be brought in, and especially such foul idolatry as the Babylonian system contained in its bosom,
that it should be done STEALTHILY and in secret. *
Even though introduced by the hand of power, it might have produced a revulsion,
    and violent attempts might have been made by the uncorrupted portion of mankind to put it down;
and at all events, if it had appeared at once in all its hideousness,
it would have alarmed the consciences of men,
and defeated the very object in view.
Alexander Hislop

 FOLLOWS A COMMON PATTERN

I'm at a congregation that has struggled with this issue.
We've been attempting to make our Sunday morning assemblies as relevant as possible.

One way we did that was
      A. to start using a praise team,
      B. not every Sunday,
      C. but at first only occasionally,
      D. and now about every other week--
      E.       before the actual service starts-

F.       THEN we have the traditional congregational singing led by a song leader for the rest of the service.

This is called NAVIGATING THE WINDS OF CHANGE or "how to boil a frog."  You slowly infiltrate something your KNOW is going to sow discord to ENHANCE God's work: that makes you a legalist and assuredly a sectarian.

      G. At first we had them stand in the back, which didn't cause much of a stir,
      H. but when we moved them up front in front of the whole congregation,
            many
people had serious problems with this, and a few left because of it.
Deliberate Sowing of Discord and Offending is the PRICE WE PAY.
      I.  we still sing acapella and have no desire to change that:
      J. praise team of men and women standing in front of the church.
AND then standing of the STARTE with amplified performance

If a number of ministers in Presbyterian charges where no ritualism exists were to resolve to ritualize and Romanise their congregations, could they adopt better measures than those in operation by ritualists?

Their plan of campaign would be marked by the following stages at considerable intervals:

1. adverse comments on the simplicity of the worship observed.  [Hitler and Machiavelli are used as a pattern to use music and mass gatherings to cheat the SEEKERS our of their Kingdom mkv2ch06.html
Machiavelli is used by Rubel Shelly to explain why unauthorized changes are resisted:

The elders and "leader" makes the following accusations. This intimidates most people who dare not be seen as supporting the prophesied and historical church of Christ.
  1. Legalistic 2 times
  2. Just our Tradition or Traditional 20 Times.
[This is a lie: vocal and instrumental rejoicing was outlawed for the Church of Christ in the Wilderness.
  3. Style or Styles  of WORSHIP 16 Times
Jesus said that the kingdom does not come with religious observations: the School of Christ is the antithesis of the always-pagan worship rituals.  Jesus named self-speakers, singers and instrument players hypocrites.
  4. Method or Methods 9 Times [Elders as THE pastor-teachers are commanded to TEACH that which HAS BEEN TAUGHT.
  5. Customs 2 [Not using instruments is a Direct Command known by all bible students]
  6. A NEW Language 7 Times [They claim that the Bible is to be interpreted by a NEW REVELATIONS: the 20/20 vision CASTING is a witchcraft or sorcery word]

  8. Freedom 22 Times--is something WE OFFER YOU. [Christ freed us from laded burden and burden laders: performance musicians a a TAX not in time of war.

  10. Pharisee 2 [Jesus called preachers for hire, singers and instrument players PHARISEES]

  12. Judgment 8 [Judgment is the Purpose Driven Cults Infiltrate and Divert your newly financed property]
  13. Not using INSTRUMENTS HINDERS the Work of God
  14. Because this is DISCORDING WE will move slowly. [Frogs might jump out of the Collection plate vat]
In David's first sermon on Revelation 1 he claims that Churches of Christ are the object of the Judgment. In fact, the "lusted after fruits" are speakers, singers or instrument players are called SORCERERS (Davi

1) Christian Mysticism
Contemplative spirituality has taken the church by storm. This issue is nolonger relegated to the fringe elements of Christianity. Divination, witchcraft, all of this stuff," Hill said. "A lot of it centers around knowledge and being able to access information and secrets and mysteries from sources that God hasn't sanctioned whether that's using astrology, tarot cards, psychics, mediums, etc

"Sun Goddesses were frequently psychopompes, and the LABYRINTH was itself connected to the Sun. It's entrance was carefully faced East to catch the first sunlight of the day. Patricia Monaghan's research has also shown that the LABYRINTH accurately charts the Sun's path in the sky in the far North. Travelling the LABYRINTH made rebirth possible, whether if be by the Goddess leading the dead from its centre beneath the ground, or the priestess Ariadne guiding initiates through it for a spiritual rebirth.

"Winding up the thread originally recreated the globe of the Sun, rebirthing the Sun Goddess herself. The ubiquitous pools near LABYRINTH or Cretan Goddess temples were probably meant to act as mirrors. The Sun's reflection was used for divination, rather than the endless circling of the fish.

[4] SPIRITUAL FORMING BY ANGELS (MUSICIANS) OF LIGHT
 MODERN WARNINGS BASED ON SCRIPTURE.
Lectio Divina is Latin for "divine reading," "spiritual reading," or "holy reading" and represents a method of prayer and scriptural reading intended to promote communion with God and to provide special spiritual insights. The principles of lectio divina were expressed around the year A.D. 220 and practiced by Catholic monks, especially the monastic rules of Sts. Pachomius, Augustine, Basil, and Benedict.

Further, the dangers inherent in opening our minds and listening for voices should be obvious. The contemplative prayers are so eager to hear something—anything—that they can lose the objectivity needed to discern between God’s voice, their own thoughts, and the infiltration of demons into their minds. Satan and his minions are always eager for inroads into the minds of the unsuspecting, and to open our minds in such ways is to invite disaster. We must never forget that Satan is ever on the prowl, seeking to devour our souls (1 Peter 5:8) and can appear as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), whispering his deceptive lies into our open and willing minds.

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

[210] with one another whatever our countries lack. And where sight fails us and our knowledge is not sure, the seer foretells by gazing on the flame, by reading signs in folds of entrails, or by divination from the flight of birds.
Are we not then too proud, when heaven has made such [215] preparation for our life, not to be content with it?
But our presumption seeks to lord it over heaven,
and in the pride of our hearts we think we are wiser than the gods.
1Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. al.

This is not speaking as in the command to SPEAK one to another to teach and comfort. Sounding brass and tinkling cymbals here are identifying marks of people who have NO LOVE. Even if they COULD speak all of the languages in the world there would be no love. The command is to SPEAK or LOGOS the Word of Christ which is the opposite of rhetoric, singing or playing instruments. Speaking in the tongues of angels was IN FACT making music in tongues.

"It is a great mistake to imagine that back of their idolatry and their idol sacrifices there is nothing but an empty vacuity. True enough, as 1 Cor 8:4 makes plain, the gods of the idols have no existence whatever; no being by the name of Jupiter exists, and this is true with respect to all other gods. But something does exist, something that is far more terrible than these pseudo-gods, namely an entire kingdom of darkness which is hostile to God, a host of demons or fallen angels who are ruled by the greatest of their number, namely Satan, Eph. 2:3; 6:12. (Lenski)

Enoch 7:1 It happened after the sons of men had multiplied in those days, that daughters were born to them, elegant and beautiful.

2 And when the angels, (3) the sons of heaven, beheld them, they became enamoured of them, saying to each other,
Come, let us select for ourselves wives from the progeny of men,

Earl Lavender Leader Lectio Divina is based on the Thesslian HAG or Witch. Almost no male or female has the urge to Self-Exhibit and Self-Author anything claiming to be guided by A spirit.

Modern day contemplative prayer movement stems from the monastic period of Christianity (early middle ages), which was a time of experimentation and mystical practices. One of the practices, lectio divina, meaning sacred reading, involved taking a page of Scripture and reading it over and over again.

Friar Luke Dysinger, a present-day monk at Saint Andrews Abbey, describes lectio divina this way:

"Choose a text of the Scriptures ... Place yourself in a comfortable position and allow yourself to become silent. Some Christians focus for a few moments on their breathing; others have a beloved 'prayer word' or 'prayer phrase' they gently recite in order to become interiorly silent. For some the practice known as 'centering prayer' makes a good, brief introduction to lectio divina....

”Then turn to the text and read it slowly, gently. Savor each portion of the reading, constantly listening for the 'still, small voice' of a word or phrase that somehow says, 'I am for you today ...'

”Next take the word or phrase into yourself. Memorize it and slowly repeat it to yourself, allowing it to interact with your inner world of concerns, memories and ideas.

”Learn to use words when words are helpful, and to let go of words when they no longer are necessary. Rejoice in the knowledge that God is with you in both words and silence, in spiritual activity and inner receptivity."

In Richard Foster’s book, Devotional Classics, he quotes 16th Century mystic Madame Guyon to describe the practice, “…make use of scripture to quiet your mind.

First read a passage of scripture. Once you sense the Lord’s presence,
the content of what you read is no longer important.
        The scripture has served its purpose;
it has quieted your mind; it has brought you to him. …

You should always remember that you are not there to gain an understanding of what you have read; rather you are reading to turn your mind from the outward things to the deep parts of your being.  You are not there to learn or to read, but you are there to experience the presence of your Lord!”

This practice has become extremely popular in today's Christian youth organizations and programs. Youth Specialties, a world renowned Christian organization, instructs young people and youth workers to incorporate lectio divina into their prayer lives. In their magazine, Youth Worker Journal, they describe lectio divina this way:

"This is a fancy Latin term for 'sacred reading' and has also been called 'meditation on the Word.' Sacred reading is the practice of reading scripture slowly in a spirit of contemplation. The goal isn't exegesis or analysis, but allowing God to speak to us through the word. Christians often refer to the Bible as God's love letter to mankind, and when we take the time to read it as such, we are practicing sacred reading."

The article then exhorts readers to:

"Take a short passage and repeat it over and over again aloud. With each repetition, remove extraneous words until you've broken the passage down to one thought. An obvious example is John 14:27, which could easily be broken down to the word 'peace.'"

The concept of allowing God to speak through His Word is perfectly legitimate. I experience that when I read or meditate on the Bible. However, in the context of this article the purpose is not to contemplate the meaning of a Bible verse by thinking about it but is rather meant to gain an experience from it.

There is a difference between reading the Word and understanding its meaning versus a method of focusing on a single word to gain a mystical experience. Through Youth Specialties and many other youth-oriented organizations, our youth are being taught to treat the Bible as a meditative vehicle rather than a source of knowledge to further our understanding of God.

The ELECT are a tiny remnant of Jews and Gentiles who could hear the WORD.  The PROOF that they had received the word is that they wanted to be BAPTIZED.  This was the SEAL that their spirits were translated into the Heavenly Kingdom.

"BAPTISM DOTH ALSO NOW SAVE US" (1 Peter 3:21) applies only to those who gladly HEAR and are Baptized. Baptism is the only way to REQUEST that Jesus add us to His SCHOOL OF HIS WORD.  That is His WILL.  Jackie Halstead nor Mary nor Ignatius cannot show you how to be translated into a heavenly kingdom. They have made THEIR WILL but they do not have the power to COMMUNICATE after they are dead.
Heb. 9:17 For a TESTAMENT is of force after men are dead:
otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Paul as an apostle was able to ordaine 12 men who "prophesied."  That is, they were able to remember the Word that they had been taught so that the whole province heard the Gospel.  In each congregation, in this period there would be only ONE with a supernatural and:

Thence they arise and go abroad by night, [10] veiled in thick mist, and utter their song with lovely voice, praising Zeus the aegis-holder, and queenly Hera of Argos who walks on golden sandals, and the daughter of Zeus the aegis-holder bright-eyed Athena, and Phoebus Apollo, and Artemis who delights in arrows, [15] and Poseidon the earth holder who shakes the earth, and revered Themis, and quick-glancing Aphrodite, and Hebe with the crown of gold, and fair Dione, Leto, Iapetus, and Cronos the crafty counsellor, Eos, and great Helius, and bright Selene, [20] Earth, too, and great Oceanus, and dark Night, and the holy race of all the other deathless ones that are for ever. And one day they taught Hesiod glorious song while he was shepherding his lambs under holy Helicon, and this word first the goddesses said to me:

Then next, the goddesses sing of Zeus, the father of gods and men, as they begin and end their strain, how much he is the most excellent among the gods and supreme in power. For they make the first principles Gods or generated from Gods, and say that whatever did not taste of the nectar and ambrosia became mortal—clearly using these terms in a sense significant to themselves; but as regards the actual applications of these causes their statements are beyond our comprehension

Lectio  violates the direct command to read that which is written for our learning by reading without understanding as a prelude or trance with the object to DIVINA. The word divina does not mean reading the revealed word of the Divine Being. That is proven by the intention to receive direct revelation.  The term cannot be used without affirmation in one way or another the Fuller John Wimber [LU} view is:
'Don't let the Bible get in the way of the blessing.'
'Some of you Bible-lovers need to put-it down and let God work on you.'

‘The Bible has let us down. It has not delivered the numbers we need.'
'You must not let your mind hinder the receiving of the blessing.'
This is ANTI-Christian and ANTI-Jesus

The ANTI-Patternists or ANTI-sectarians fail to grasp or intentionally DISOBEY:

1. Christ prophesied and Jesus put into place "The SECT that is called the WAY."
2. The Way is the ROAD which is a very narrow, exclusive PATTERN

        the beginning of splendid festivity;
        and singers obey your notes,
        whenever, with your quivering strings,
you prepare to strike up chorus-leading preludes.
[5] You quench even the warlike thunderbolt of everlasting fire.... Even powerful Ares, setting aside the rough spear-point, warms his heart in repose; your shafts charm the minds even of the gods, by virtue of the skill of Leto's son and the deep-bosomed Muses.
But those whom Zeus does not love are stunned with terror
when they hear the cry of the Pierian Muses,
                on earth or on the irresistible sea;
[15] among them is he who lies in dread Tartarus,

that enemy of the gods, Typhon with his hundred heads.

Notes: In the first part of the poem
the lyre is the organ of harmony,
in the second the organ of praise.
In the first part everything is plain. Apollon and the Muses are to the Greek the authors of all harmony, artistic, political, social, spiritual.
The lyre, as the instrument of Apollo
,
is the symbol of the reign of harmony over the wide domain of Zeus.
Everything that owes allegiance to Zeus obeys his son Apollon,
obeys the quivering of the lyre's strings.
So the footstep of the dancer, the voice of the singer. Even the thunderbolt, the weapon of Zeus, is quenched, the bird of Zeus slumbers, the wild son of Zeus, violent Ares, sleeps a deep sleep. This is the art of the son of Leto and the deep-bosomed Muses (vv. 1-12).
All those that Zeus hath claimed as his own are ruled by harmony. Not so those that he loves not. When they hear the sound of the Pierides, they strive to flee along the solid EARTH and the restless main. So he who now lies in dread Tartaros, enemy of the gods, Typhon, reared in the famed Kilikian cave. His

Hes. Th. 807 And there, all in their order, are the sources and ends of the dark earth and misty Tartarus and the unfruitful sea and starry heaven, [810] loathsome and dank, which even the gods abhor.
And there are shining gates and an immovable threshold of bronze having unending roots, and it is grown of itself.1And beyond, away from all the gods, live the Titans, beyond gloomy Chaos. [815] But the glorious allies of loud-crashing Zeus have their dwelling upon Ocean's foundations, even Cottus and Gyes; but Briareos, being goodly, the deep-roaring Earth-Shaker made his son-in-law, giving him Cymopolea his daughter to wed.

Jesus obeyed the CENI: you don't need to!

John 8:26 I have many things to SAY and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true;
and I SPEAK to the world those things which I have HEARD of him.

John 8:28 Then SAID Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man,
........... then shall ye know that I am he,
........... And that I do nothing of myself;
........... but as my Father hath taught me,
........... I SPEAK these things.

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me:
........... the Father hath not left me alone;
........... for I do alway those things that please him.

John 8:30 As he SPAKE these words, many believed on him.

John 8:31 Then SAID Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
........... If ye continue in MY WORD, [Logos: regulative principle: CENI]
             then are ye
my disciples indeed;

You don't have to!

John 8:32 And ye shall know THE TRUTH, and the truth shall make you free.

James 1:18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

John 8: 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever:

John 8: 36
If the Son therefore shall make you free,

The Kenites or Cainites gained control of the Priesthood almost from the beginning: God had turned them over to worship the STARRY HOST because of musical idolatry were NOT worthy of hearing Jesus. Therefore, He spoke to them in parables. THESE were predestinated to be lost based on their own choices.

When people question the Words of Christ they question God and HE sends strong delusions so that they believe a lie and ae damned. When you fall you cannot get up and THAT was the message about the FALL produced by music.

John 8:37 I know that ye are Abrahams seed; but ye seek to kill me,
........... because my WORD (logos) hath no place in you.

John 8: 38 I SPEAK that which I have seen with my Father:
........... and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. [the Devil]

John 8: 39 They answered and SAID unto him,
........... Abraham is our father. Jesus SAID unto them,
........... If ye were Abrahams children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

The speakers, singers and instrument players in Revelation 18 are called SORCERERS which is the same word defining the Babylon Mother Sorcerers.  This defines the PERFORMERS as Scape Goats or Capella which are being SACRIFICED as the Lead Agents into the Lake of Fire. Christ defined the Prototype Prophecy in Isaiah 30.

Croesus thought the Lydians would even so be better off than if they were sold for slaves, and therefore gave the above advice to Cyrus, knowing that, unless he brought forward some notable suggestion, he would not be able to persuade him to alter his mind. He was likewise afraid lest, after escaping the danger which now pressed, the Lydians at some future time might revolt from the Persians and so bring themselves to ruin.

THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST WARNING ABOUT DIVINATION
It must be assumed that those who get the TRUE message directly from God by  having a Bible Text open up the pathway to thee "center" intend that what comes to their imagination is worthy of being taught in PLACE of the Word of God from which they derive their occupation.  Therefore, those who honor the prophets by the Spirit OF Christ should take notice of the Spirit's warning about those who claim to be in contact with a "god."

This abandons the only standard for marking false teachers (2 Peter 2). The Spirit OF Christ spoke only through the prophets and apostles: the church is built or educated upon those teachings and fulfillment.  If a "scholar" needs more than that then he-she is not a Disciple of Christ or Christian. Do not fear them.
2Kings 17:17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire,
        and used divination and enchantments,
and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD,
        to provoke him to anger.

Jer 14:11 Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

Jer 14:12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation,
I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.
Jer 14:13 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them,
        Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine;
but I will give you assured peace in this place.

Chorus

May Zeus cause the earth to bring forth its tribute of fruit [690] by the produce of every season; may their grazing cattle in the fields have abundant increase, and may they obtain all things from the heavenly powers. [695] May minstrels sing hymns of praise at the altars; and from pure lips let there proceed the phorminx-loving chant.

Aesch. Ag. 975 Chorus [975] Why does this terror so persistently hover standing before my prophetic soul? Why does my song, unbidden and unfed, chant strains of augury? Why does assuring confidence not sit on my heart's throne [980] and spurn the terror like an uninterpretable dream? But Time has collected the sands of the shore upon the cables cast thereon [985] when the shipborn army sped forth for Ilium.

Isis is, in fact, the Greek form of Isha, " the woman." 3 Isis also is the same as " Geres" 4 and the rites of Isis and Ceres were similar,5 as were those of " Rhea," or " Cybele," and " Astarte." ^ Thus we have " Rhea," " Cybele," " Diana," " Astarte," or " Ashtoreth," "Ishtar," "Venus," or " Aphrodite," "Isis" and " Ceres," all more or less identified with Semiramis and the Babylonian goddess, and with each other, and the relationship of Rhea to Saturn, of Venus to Adonis, Isis to Osiris, etc., still further confirms this identity

We have seen that BaalTammuz was also called " Adon," "The Lord," who was the Greek Adonis, and Adon with the points is pronounced in Hebrew " Athon."
So also in modern Theosophy and Spiritualism it is taught that " God is dual, He and She, Father and Mother. Hindu teachers obtained a golden glimpse of this impersonal truth."  In like manner it is said, "Man being made in the image of God is male and female," and as Christ is spoken of by the Apostle Paul as the second Adam, so it is taught by Theosophy that " there is yet to be expected a second Eve who is to be the Queen of Heaven • Ante, p. 168
-Plat. Gorg. 513a  and so therefore now, whether it is your duty to make yourself as like as possible to the Athenian people, if you intend to win its affection and have great influence in the city: see if this is to your advantage and mine, so that we may not suffer, my distinguished friend, the fate that they say befalls the creatures who would draw down the moon—the HAGS of Thessaly;  that our choice of this power in the city may not cost us all that we hold most dear. But if you suppose that anyone in the world can transmit to you such an art as will cause you  [513b] to have great power in this state without conforming to its government either for better or for worse, in my opinion you are ill-advised,

1 Socrates alludes to the popular theory that the practice of witchcraft is a serious danger or utter destruction to the practicer.
as Thettalidas: the Thessalian women were very skilful in sorcery and poisoning. They stood in close relation to the night-goddess Hecate; hence people ascribed to them the power to draw the moon from the heavens. Strepsiades says in Ar. Nub. 749 gunaika pharmakid' ei priamenos Thettalēn | katheloimi nuktōr tēn selēnēn kthe. Cf. Hor. Epod. 5. 45 quae sidera excantata voce Thessala | lunamque caelo deripit. For this, however, the goddess exacted punishment, for Suidas says hai tēn selēnēn kathairousai Thettalides legontai tōn ophthalmōn kai tōn paidōn (v. l. podōn) steriskesthai. eirētai epi tōn heautois ta kaka epispōmenōn paroimia. Cf. also Plin. N. H. XXX. I. 2 (6). Aristophanes' designation of them under the name pharmakis, while it implies that their art consisted in the manipulation of drugs, does not limit us to that view, because Herodotus, vii. 114, uses the verb pharmakeuein in speaking of the sacrifice of white horses by the Magi to the river Strymon.

This lying divination comes out of the MONKS and Jesuits always devited to defeating anything not Catholic.

To become a Jesuit:
A "director" guided the candidate who went through the "Exercises." All the senses were employed in these meditations, until finally the mind of the candidate was broken like that of a horse to obey his master in all things. An observer of the Jesuits wrote: "Not only visions were pre-arranged, but also sights, inhalings; breathing was noted down; the pauses and intervals of silence were written down like a music sheet… which meant that the man, being inspired or not, became a machine who had to sigh, sob, groan, cry, shout or catch his breath at the exact moment and in the order which experience showed to be the most profitable. Using this method, Layola only needed 30 days to break someone's will and reasoning.

The “Spiritual Exercises” work on the imagination of the candidate, helped by a “director”. Various biblical scenes are “relived” in front of him, beautiful ones alternating with frightening ones. His sighs, inhalings, breathing, and periods of silence are all noted down. After a number of weeks of this, he is ready for indoctrination. Obedience is absolutely vital to the Jesuit Order. Every Jesuit must be in total obedience to his superior, obeying him without question. In the Constitutions of the Order, it is repeated some 500 times that the Jesuit must see in the General, not a fallible man, but Christ himself! This was said by a professor of Roman Catholic theology. In the words of Ignatius: “We must see black as white, if the Church says so.”
Ignatius of Loyola the spiritual terrorist is NOT Ignatius the Church Father whose doctrine refutes the Ignatius of terrorism
...with the task of making disciples of women called as witnesses by the Inquisition under the direction of magistrate Alonso Mejias. Although the alumbrados [Illuminated; Illuminati; Enlightened Ones] of Spain were linked in their zeal and spirituality to the Franciscan reforms of which Cardinal de Cisneros was a promoter," the administrators of the Inquisition had mounting suspicions. These female disciples, Doña Leo, Doña Maria, and Doña Beatriz were so hysterically zealous that "one fell senseless, another sometimes rolled about on the ground, another had been seen in the grip of convulsions or shuddering and sweating in anguish." This suspicious activity had taken place while Ignatius and his companions were regularly preaching in public. Because of his "street-corner perorations" being identified "with the activities of the alumbrados," Ignatius was naturally singled out for inspection as one of these visionaries; however he was later released.

The Alumbrados: The Jesuit Order or "Society of Jesus" is a Covert Military Organization founded by Ignatius of Loyola (a member of the Spanish Gnostic Sect, Los Alumbrados) in 1534. The Alumbrados (Spanish word for The Illuminated Ones) where a Secret Society of Gnostic (Religion that combines Eastern Mysticism with Monotheist Religions and Mystery Religions ) origins. The Alumbrados were a sect of people of Noble blood who believed that the Human Soul could evolve into a degree of "Perfection" in this present life and comprehend the "Mystery" of the trinity. They believe that when a person´s soul reaches this state of "Perfection" and "Union with God" they could commit any criminal, Immoral and sinful acts without staining their souls.
Gnosticism and Eastern Mysticism (including the Mystery Babylonian religion) teaches that its members are "Gods in the making" and that Lucifer is the one that makes us realize the "God within us" and evolve this into our full potential (without the need to repent for our sins) as his name means "Morning Star" and "The Illuminated One", this doctrine which is nearly identical in all Secret Societies called the Illuminati (The Illuminated Ones)

Lucifer or Phosphorus "the bringer of light"). The name of the planet Venus, when seen in the morning before sunrise. The same planet was called Hesperus, Vesperugo, Vesper, Noctifer, or Nocturnus, when it appeared in the heavens after sunset. Lucifer as a personification is called a son of Astraeus and Aurora or Eos, of Cephalus and Eos, or of Atlas By Philonis he is said to have been the father of Ceyx. He is also called the father of Daedalion and of the Hesperides. Lucifer is also a surname of several goddesses of light, as Artemis, Aurora, and Hecaté.

Artemis, the Roman Diana, goddess of the chase, daughter of Zeus and Latona, sister of Apollo: in Hom., women who die suddenly are said to be slain by her agana belea: cf. Apollōn.

CREATED: means to created (qualified) to cut down, selected, dispatch.

As Prince of the power of the air (Eph.2: 1-2), he is continuously broadcasting his lies and deceptions into their minds via the five sense gates. Helel works very hard in the children of disobedience (Eph.2: 1-2). Helel seldom inspires indifference to religion, as religion is his favorite form of deception. His children are usually the opposers of the true religion or energetic transgressors of the Torah (Clark's Commentary Vol.6, page 437).

"Lucifer, the son of the morning," who was the pretended enlightener of the souls of men. The name Lucifer, in Isaiah, is the very word from which Eleleus, one of the names of Bacchus, evidently comes. It comes from "Helel," which signifies "to irradiate" or "to bring light," and is equivalent to the name Tithon. Now we have evidence that Lucifer, the son of Aurora, or the morning, was worshipped in the very same character as Nimrod, when he appeared in his new character as a little child.

He, moreover, was not in the substance of our flesh; but, bringing down from heaven some spiritual body or other, passed through the Virgin Mary as water through a pipe, neither receiving nor borrowing aught thence. The resurrection of our present flesh he denies, but (maintains that) of some sister-flesh. Of the Law and the prophets some parts he approves, some he disapproves; that is, he disapproves all in reprobating some. A Gospel of his own he likewise has, beside these of ours.

ANCIENT WARNINGS OF AN IGNORANT, SUPERSTITIOUS TAMPERING WITH MAGIC.:

Arnobius Book IV.12. But let them be true, as you maintain, yet will you have us also believe that Mellonia, for example, introduces herself into the entrails, or Limentinus, and that they set themselves to make known  what you seek to learn? Did you ever see their face their deportment, their countenance? or can even these be seen in lungs or livers?

May it not happen, may it not come to pass, although you craftily conceal it, that the one should take the other's place, deluding, mocking, deceiving, and presenting the appearance of the deity invoked?

If the magi, who areso much akin to  soothsayers, relate that, in their incantations, pretended gods  steal in frequently instead of those invoked;  that some of these, moreover, are spirits of grosser substance,  who pretend that they are gods, and delude the ignorant by their lies and deceit,- why should we not similarly believe that here, too, others substitute themselves for those who are not, that they may both strengthen your superstitious beliefs, and rejoice that victims are slain in sacrifice to them under names not their own?

The Jacob-cursed Levites as the Pattern for instrumentalists performed as SOOTHSAYERS with instrumental noise to attract the good demons and expel the evil.

13. Or, if you refuse to believe this on account of its novelty, how can you know whether there is not some one, who comes in place of all whom yon invoke, and substituting himself in all parts of the world shows to you what appear to be many gods and powers? Who is that one? some one will ask. We may perhaps, being instructed by truthful authors, be able to say; but, lest you should be unwilling to believe us, let my opponent ask the Egyptians, Persians, Indians, Chaldeans, Armenians, and all the others who have seen and become acquainted with these things in the more recondite arts.

Then, indeed, you will learn who is the one God, or who the very many under Him are,

who pretend to be gods, and make sport of men's ignorance .."

Even now we are ashamed to come to the point at which not only boys, young and pert, but grave men also, cannot restrain their laughter, and men who have been hardened into a strict and stern humour.  (Arnobius Against the Heathen, Ante-Nicene, VI, p. 479).

And be not deceived or deluded with vain hopes by that which is said by some ignorant and most presumptious pretenders, that they are born of God, and are not subject to the decrees of fate; that His palace lies open to them if they lead a life of temperance, and that after death as men, they are restored without hinderance, as if their father's abode;

not by that which the "Magi assert, that they have intercessory prayers, won over by which some powers make the way easy to those who are striving to mount to heaven; not by that which Etruria holds out in the Acherontic books that souls become, and are freed from the law of death, if the blood of certain animals is offered to certain deities.

These are empty delusions, and excite vain desires. None but the Almighty God can preserve souls; nor is there any one besides who can give them length of days, and grant to them also a spirit which shall never die."

(Footnote: Magi are 'certain fortune-telling vagrant seers, who persuade the rich that they have power with the gods, by means of charms and sacrifices... on familiar terms with evil powers, and thus able to accomplish whatever is within these spirit's power.) (Arnibious, Ante-Nicene, VI, p. 457

Richard Foster’s book, Devotional Classics, he quotes 16th Century mystic Madame Guyon to describe the practice, “…make use of scripture to quiet your mind.
First read a passage of scripture.
Once you sense the Lord’s presence
,
the content of what you read is no lopractinger important.
Matt. 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
Matt. 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The scripture has served its purpose; it has quieted your mind; it has brought you to him. …You should always remember that you are not there to gain an understanding of what you have read; rather you are reading to turn your mind from the outward things to the deep parts of your being. You are not there to learn or to read, but you are there to experience the presence of your Lord!”

Carl Jung as a great psychiatrist emphasized personal renewal through 'meditative prayer' involving 'centering down' to become quiet and passive, then used guided imagery and visualization of Christ" "Foster called for unity in the body of Christ through the "five streams of Christianity, the contemplative, the holiness, the charismatic, social justice and evangelical."Vasivig recalled that his first experience of "meditative prayer" using visualization was taught to him personally by Episcopalian mystic Agnes Sanford. He explained the contemplative aspect of Renovare's spiritual disciplines, the attainment of a state of mind that is totally passive and uncluttered by rational thought Practicing the "Presence of God" is actually a form of Zen Meditation."
