UNIVERSALLY UNDERSTOOD: GODHEAD WAS THE DIVINE NATURE OF A SINGULAR MAN OR WOMAN.

In religious terms, divinity or godhead is the state of things that come from A supernatural power or deity, such as A god, supreme being, creator deity, or spirits, and are therefore regarded as sacred and holy such things are regarded as "divine" due to their transcendental origins or because their attributes or qualities are superior or supreme relative to things of the Earth.  Divine things are regarded as eternal and based in truth, while material things are regarded as ephemeral and based in illusion.

Divinity (from Latin divinitas) refers to the quality, presence, or nature of that which is divine—a term that, before the rise of monotheism, evoked a broad and dynamic field of sacred power. In the ancient world, divinity was not limited to a single deity or abstract ideal but was recognized in multiple forms: as a radiant attribute possessed by gods, as a vital force cushioning nature, and even as a quality glimpsed in extraordinary humans, laws, or acts. The Latin divinitas and its Greek counterparts (theiotēs, theion) conveyed something both immanent and awe-inspiring: a presence that could be felt in thunder, justice, ecstasy, fate, or beauty. NEVER THREE GODS!

Early Christianity
inherited this language but dramatically reshaped it. With the rise of theological monotheism, divinity came increasingly to denote the singular and absolute nature of God.
      The Christianization of the term narrowed its field: what had once described a quality diffused across nature, fate, and multiple gods was now claimed exclusively for the creator God
        and, later, extended to Christ and the Holy Spirit through doctrines of the Trinity. Over time, this led to a sharper boundary between the divine and the human, the sacred and the profane.

Garland.M.Robinson.Wresting.Scriptures: lists many of the proofs that, to be a Christian or Disciple one, MUST CONTINUE the Words of Jesus which, He said, are only what the Father Taught Him. A Christian assembly is quickly led into other "ministries" which consumes all of the money, time and spiritual energies.  Jesus asks "Could you not tarry withh ME for one hour?" I will add some Scripture to warn that--conservative or liberal--most churches drift into a lot of activities which consume "word" time which is not Biblical but are condemned.

The teachinlgs of the Conservative Schools of Preacing and the Liberal universities quote some of the passages proving that there is one only God, there is no god beside Him, before Him or After Him.  BUT, they all insist that there are three Gods or that the SINGULAR GOD IS REALLY A FAMILY OF GODS ALL ETERNAL.

This is not the Church of Christ I Grew up With..

Jesus finished His ROLE and retired to Heaven. The Holy Spirit God is the real teacher.  They deny that Jesus Christ in the SPIRIT STATE is still the HEAD and only Teacher as the Head of His own SCHOOL OF CHRIST.

Jesus was sent into the WORLD (the kingdom of Satan) to rescue pilgrims and sojourners who are IN the world but not OF this world.  This first verse proves that Jesus will NOT PERMIT blasphemers {John 10] to read BLACK text on BROWN paper. [2 Cor 3]

All of the Schools of preaching claim that Paul's statement--

"Col. 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

     And the MAN Jesus of Nazareth was also  Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent.
    Only these THREE are included in the FULNESS"

IF THEY WOULD HAVE READ FROM COLOSSIANS THEY WOULD UNDERSTAND THAT JESUS DID NOT ARRIVE WITH FULNESS:

Col. 1:19 For it PLEASED THE FATHER THAT IN HIM [JESUS]
         should all fulness dwell;

NEITHER DID JESUS THE MAN ARRIVE WITH ETERNAL LIFE:

John 5:26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
John 5:27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

ANTICHRISTS DENY THAT JESUS CAME IN THE FLESH JUST LIKE HIS BRETHREN
EVERYONE I KNOW SAYS THAT GOD CAME IN THE FLESH.  AS A MAN HE JUST PLAYED A ROLE

I get into lots of trouble doing Bible Speak but time is short and I have the burden to supply the CONTEXT to what Preachers never consider ctet or the definion of words.  For instance, Godhead is not a three headed god as depicted in the texs

1Tim. 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved,
        and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [THE PATTERN]

1Tim. 2:5 For there is ONE GOD,
        and one mediator between God and men,
        THE MAN CHRIST JESUS

There is NOTHING in Scripture which changes that. Why do the MASSES work so hard to call Holy Scripture a lie.

JESUS DID NOT GO FORTH FROM ETERNITY.
Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you,
        that all things must be fulfilled,
        which were written in the law of Moses,
        and in the prophets, and in the psalms, CONCERNING ME

MOSES DEFINED MESSIAH AS A PROPHET

Deut. 18:15  The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee
        a PROPHET from the midst of thee,
        of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
Deut. 18:18 I will raise them up a
PROPHET from among their brethren, like unto thee,
        and will put my words in his mouth;
        and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A
PROPHET shall the Lord your God raise up unto you
        of your brethren,
like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
Acts 7:37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A
PROPHET shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.

Matt. 26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the
PROPHET might be fulfilled.
        Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the
PROPHETS,
        he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things CONCERNING HIMSELF

OBVIOUSLY JESUS DIDN'T EXIST WHEN THE PROPHETS SPOKE IN THE FUTURE

John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a
PROPHET.
John 4:44 For Jesus himself testified, that a
PROPHET. hath no honour in his own country.
IF THEY HAD READ C0LOSSIANS ONE THEY WOULD THAT JESUS JESUS WAS "BEGOTTEN"  AND HE WAS BORN OF THE SEED OF ABRAHAM BEFORE HE WAS BAPTIZED AND DECLARED TO BE THE SON OF GOD

Col. 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning,
         the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Col. 1:19 For it PLEASED THE FATHER THAT IN HIM [JESUS]
         should all fulness dwell;

Ignoring the fact that the FULNESS is not unique to Jesus and that GODHEAD does not mean GOD.

Col. 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the HEAD of all principality and power:

EVEN MORE CLEARLY, GOD'S SONS:

Eph. 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
        that ye might be FILLED WITH OF THE FULNESS OF GOD..

Why would most people insist that it should read FILLED WITH GOD.

Obviously we are not gods.
Garland.M.Robinson:  "God desires that his people be grounded and settled in His word. Paul writes to the church in Ephesus that they be Strengthend, i,e rooted and grounded in the faith "That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love." (Eph. 3:16-17)

Eph. 3:14For this cause I bow my knees unto the FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
Eph. 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
Eph. 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,
        to be strengthened with might by HIS [GOD'S] SPIRIT in the inner man; [Not the body}
WHICH MEANS IS THAT:
Eph. 3:17 That CHRIST may dwell in your HEARTS BY FAITH that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
Eph. 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
Eph. 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
        that ye might be filled with all the FULNESS OF GOD.  [That doesn't make you a GOD]
Eph. 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,
        according to the POWER that worketh in us,

GOD'S SPIRIT, BREATH, WIND IS GOD'S POWER IN MANY PASSAGES

First note that Paul speaking by inspiration declares that God's very small band of lost spirits as sojourners and pilgrims bear witnesses--now known to science--the cosmic battle between the forces of darkness and forces of light.  The Kosmos or WORLD is the kingdom of Satan making war against the invisible Kingdom Which is inward
Matt. 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matt. 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matt. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matt. 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
 Matthew.23.Lord.Lord.gif
THE GIFT OF A NEW, REGENERATED SPIRIT IS NOT ANOTHER GOD IN

IN THE TEXT GOD'S SPIRIT IS HIS POWER TO EXERCISE PHYSICAL POWER OR TO  PUT HIS POWER TO SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND HIS WORD.

GOD'S SPIRIT IS INSTRUCTIONS FOR DOING SOMETHING: IT CAN BE PARCELED: A PERSON CANNOT BE DISRIBUTED.

Num. 11:25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him,
        and took of the SPIRIT THAT WAS UPON HIM,
        and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass,
        that, when the spirit rested upon them,
        THEY PROPHESIED AND DID NOT CEASE
Num. 11:29 And Moses said unto him,
        Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’S people were PROPHETS,
        and that the THE LORD WOULD PUT HIS SPIRIT UPON THEM!
Num. 16:22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God,
        the GOD OF THE SPIRITS of all flesh, shall one man sin,
        and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

Is. 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
Is. 11:2 And the SPIRIT of the LORD shall rest upon him,
        the SPIRIT of WISDOM and UNDERSTANDING,
        the SPIRIT of COUNSEL and MIGHT,
        the SPIRIT of KNOWLEDGE
        and [SPIRIT] of the FEAR of the LORD;
Is. 11:3 And shall make him of quick UNDERSTANDING [h7306 ]in the fear of the LORD:
     and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes,
        neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
Is. 11:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor,
        and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth:
        and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth,
        and with the breath [7307. רוּחַ ruwach SPIRIT] of his lips shall he slay the wicked

  Is. 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD;
        MY SPIRIT THAT IS UPON THEE
                and WORDS which I have PUT IN THY MOUTH,
        shall not depart out of thy mouth,
                nor out of the mouth of thy seed,
                nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD,
                from henceforth and for ever.

REPEAT: THE ONLY PURPOSE OF THE ASSEMBLY: YOU CAN ADD NOTHING WHICH DOES NOT DIM YOUR WITNESS.

Eph. 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places
        might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Eph. 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
Eph. 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
Eph. 3:13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
Eph. 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Eph. 3:15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named
Eph. 3:16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,
        to be strengthened with might by his  [GOD'S] SPIRIT in the INNER MAN

WHICH MEANS

Eph. 3:17 That Christ may DWELL in your HEARTS by faith; A
1Cor. 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul;
         the last Adam was MADE A QUICKENING SPIRIT

THEREFORE:
John 6:63 It is the
SPIRIT that QUICKENS; the flesh profiteth nothing:
        the WORDS that I speak unto you, they are
SPIRIT, and they are life.

FURTHERMORE SPIRIT IS NEVER A GOD BUT HIS MENTAL DISPOSITION.

One's spirit is A Holy Spirit or the Spirit of God is easily tested by what that person thinks about Christ. A spirit that confesses that God came in the flesh is not OF God.

1John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God:
        Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
1John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ
        is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist,
        whereof ye have heard that it should come;
        and even now already is it in the world.
THE REASON THAT GOD PUTS HIS SPIRIT INTO A BAPTIZED BELIEVER IS THAT
Eph. 3:18 May be ABLE TO COMPREHEND with all SAINTS what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
A SAINT HAS A PERSONAL "HOLY" SPIRIT OR MIND:
    g40. ἅγιος hagios, hag´-ee-os; from ἅγος hagos (an awful thing) (compare 53, 2282); sacred (physically, pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially, consecrated): — (most) holy (one, thing), saint.
Eph. 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,
        that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

To the church at Colosse he wrote
:

Col. 1:23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled,
        and be not moved away
        from the hope of the gospel,
        which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven;
        whereof I Paul am made a minister;

THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO PREACH SINCE NO ONE IS A EYE WITNESS OF THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

Homiletics
(Ancient Greek: ὁμιλητικός[1] homilētikós, from homilos, "assembled crowd, throng"[2]), in religion, is the application of the general principles of rhetoric to the specific art of public preaching.[1]
One who practices or STUDIES homiletics may be called a homilist, or more colloquially a preacher.

Congregational singing was largely the invention of the Protestant Reformation. Before then, singing in churches, especially in larger urban churches, was largely left to professionals.[2] The reformers in Strasbourg, in particular, reduced the church service largely to a sermon bookended by congregational singing and prayers.[2]

In 1520 MUNZER was a priest in Zwickau (Saxony), where he met Nicolaus Storch, the inspirationist and "'prophet" who proclaimed that the Bible is secondary to the direct revelation of God to His chosen servants.

The letter of Conrad Grebel ad his friends at Zurich to Thomas Miinze

We understand and have seen that thou hast translated the mass into German and hast introduced new German hymns.
        That cannot be well, for we find nothing taught in the New Testament about SINGING, no example of it.

Paul scolds the learned Corinthians more than he praises them, because they mumbled in meeting as if they sang, just as the Jews and the Italians chant their words song- fashion.

Secondly, since SINGING in Latin grew up without divine instruction and apostolic example and custom, without producing good or edifying, it will still [93] less edify in German and will create a faith consisting in mere outward seeming.

Thirdly, Paul even clearly forbids SINGING in Eph. 5, and Col. 3, since he says and teaches
        that they are to SPEAK TO ONE ANOTHER
        and TEACH one another WITH psalms and spiritual songs,
              AND if anyone would SING, he should SING and give thanks IN his heart
"Fourthly, whatever we are not taught by clear passages or examples must be regarded as forbidden,
        just as if it were written: "This do not; SING not.

WORDS TRANSLATED "SPIRIT" IN ALL LANGUAGES NEVER IDENTIFY A GOD OR PERSON

ALL.SPIRIT.SPIRITUS.TABLE.jpeg

THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS TO GOD / WHAT MAN'S SPIRIT IS TO MAN

1.Corinthians.Short.jpg

Alexander Campbell Acts 3:38 dōrean tou hagiou pneumatos:

"This is...understood by every attentive reader. The original phrase is hagiasmos pneumatos,
God has chosen men to salvation through (or by) holiness OF spirit;
        not through the holiness of HIS Spirit,
        but through the holiness of THEIR spirit.

When Jesus prayed (John xvii.) for the sanctification [g38] or holiness of his disciples,
          it was through the truth: "Sanctify them through the truth;
          thy word is truth."
The belief of the truth is, therefore, by Paul associated with this holiness or sanctification of spirit.

The Spirit of God is frequently denominated in these days, "the Sanctifier." Let it be granted that it is the Spirit that sanctifies or sets apart men to God, still it must be argued from the Record
        that he sanctifies them only through the truth or gospel believed.
A sanctified unbeliever is inconceivable;
        and, as "without holiness [or sanctification of spirit] no man can see the Lord;
        so, without faith, there can be no holiness, and no action acceptable to God.

John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that giveth life;
       the FLESH profiteth nothing:
       the WORDS that I have SPOKEN
                [Spirit without measure or METRON: without any musical meter]
        unto you are SPIRIT, and are life.

Such a reception of the Spirit there certainly was; and of this "gift of the Holy Spirit," this "demonstration of the Spirit," this "manifestation of the Spirit," these "spiritual gifts," we have already spoken as conferred upon the firstfruits in the last days of the Jewish age--in the setting up of the kingdom of the Messiah;
        but of such a reception of the Spirit since the LAST DAYS of the Jewish age,
        since the creation of one new man of believing Jews and Gentiles,
        and the breathing into him the holy spirit of this new life,
        there has been no substantive,
        abstract and literal communication of the Holy Spirit to any man.
Such is the experience of all the catholic congregation of Christ.
        There has arisen no prophet, no originator of new ideas, no worker of miracles,
        no controller of nature's laws,
        no person having any manifestation of the Spirit,
        or showing any divine power among men.
HOLY SPIRIT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD: IT IS HIS MIND EXPRESSED BY BREATH
THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH SPEAKS ONLY THROUGH JESUS TO THE APOSTLES.

        being in Himself and for Himself universe, and space, and all things.
Moreover, He was ALONE, because there was nothing external to Him but HIMSELF.
        Yet even not then was He alone;
        for He had with Him that which He possessed in Himself,
        that is to say, His own Reason.

For God is rational, and Reason was FIRST in Him; and so all things were from Himself.
        This Reason is His own Thought (or Consciousness) which the Greeks call logos,
        by which term we also designate Word or Discourse
Judg. 3:10 And the SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME UPON HIM
        AND he judged Israel, and went out to war:
        and the LORD DELIVERED  Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand;
        and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.

Josh. 5:1 And it came to pass,
        when all the kings of the Amorites,
        which were on the side of Jordan westward,
        and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea,
                heard that the Lord had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel,
                until we were passed over,
                that their HEART melted,
            neither was there SPIRIT in them any more,
        because of the children of Israel.
Judg. 6:34 But the SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME UPON Gideon,
       AND HE BLEW A TRUMPET and Abiezer was gathered after him
Judg. 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem;
        AND the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech
Judg. 11:29 Then the SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME UPON Jephthah,
        AND he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead,
        and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over unto the children of Ammon..
Judg. 13:25 And the SPIRIT OF THE LORD began to MOVE HIM at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.
      MOVE IS: h6470. פָּעַם paꜥam, paw-am´; a primitive root; to tap, i.e. beat regularly; hence (generally) to impel or agitate:      —move, trouble.
Judg. 14:6 And the SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME MIGHTILY UPON HIM
        AND HE RENT HIM as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.
Judg. 14:19 And the SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME MIGHTILY UPON HIM
        AND HE WENT DOWN
to Ashkelon, and SLEW THIRTY MEN of them,
        and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle.
        And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.

Judg. 15:14 And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him:
      and the SPIRIT OF THE LORD CAME MIGHTILY UPON HIM,
      AND the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that WAS BURNT WITH FIRE,
      AND his bands loosed from off his hands.
Is. 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness,
        and hidden riches of secret places,
        that thou mayest know that I, THE LORD, which call thee by thy name,
        am THE God of Israel.
Is. 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is NONE else,
        there is NO GOD BESIDE me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:
NONE: h369. אַיִן ʾayin, ah´-yin; as if from a primitive root meaning to be nothing or not exist; a non-entity; generally used as a negative particle:—else, except, fail, (father-)less, be gone, in(-curable), neither, never, no (where), none, nor, (any, thing), not, nothing, to nought, past, un(-searchable), well-nigh, without. Compare 370.

GOD: h430. אֱלֹהִים ʾelohiym, el-o-heem´; plural of 433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:—angels, x exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), x (very) great, judges, x mighty.

BESIDE ME: h2108. זוּלָה zuwlah, zoo-law´; from 2107; probably scattering, i.e. removal; used adverbially, except:—beside, but, only, save.

        that there is none BESIDE me. I am the LORD, and there is NONE else.

        I THE LORD do all these things.

Psa. 51:10 Create in me a clean HEART, O God;
        and RENEW a right SPIRIT within me.

Psa. 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not THY HOLY SPIRIT
Psa. 51:17 The sacrifices of God
        are a BROKEN SPIRIT:

a broken and a contrite HEART, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Psa. 77:6 I call to remembrance my song in the night:
        I commune with mine own HEART:
         and my SPIRIT made diligent search.

Psa. 78:8 And might not be as their fathers,
        a stubborn and rebellious generation;
        a generation that set not their HEART aright,
         and whose SPIRIT was not stedfast with God.

Psa. 142:3 When MY SPIRIT was overwhelmed WITHIN ME,
        then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

Psa. 143:4 Therefore is my SPIRIT overwhelmed within me;
        my HEART within me is desolate.
